Book Brush is an amazing website. It allows you create your own book cover if your an author or highlight your favorite books on social media.
It also has templates you can use for Facebook, blogs and a video creator.
In addition, to everything mentioned above it also has a video creator and the tutorials are user friendly.

I highly recommend this to authors, bloggers and people on Facebook to consider as tool to make some cool designs, posts and book covers.

The leg of the bird is stuck on a string, which prevented it from flying away.

I cut the string and the bird flew away.

The End.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7QCZdfLjOI

An innocent boy was killed. I am mad at his father for running from

the police with his 6 year old son in the car. I am also confessed because the police opened fire on the car,

and I wondered if they could have reacted differently. How come they did not ram the car? If it is true that

dad started to back up after driving onto a dead in street? A report stated

that the boy was killed by a bullet in the line of fire. How was the boy in line of fire?

If the dad was in the driver seat then the son was also in the driver seat?

The article also stated that the son had multiple gunshot wounds to head

and chest. Multiple shots to the head and chest, to a six year boy who was a passenger in the car.

6 year boy who was autistic is now dead.

He is dead because his father thought it was a good idea to run from the police and the police thought firing

at the car was the best course of action. This is hurts me more because I live Louisiana and I have a son

who is autistic.

Imagine if the car would have had a sticker that said " child with autism on board".

Please leave a comment below and express your feelings on the topic.
Before he ate his Halloween candy from school, he created the following pattern.
He uttered the words: " Rainbow M&M's".
He also told me that his candy was in his backpack.
Happy Halloween!
How to explore the neighbor's bedroom?

My son loves to explore new surroundings.
He has an excellent memory and can recall places previous visited.

While visiting a neighbor's apt., my son wanted to look inside the bedroom.
I told him to stay in the living room.
Unfortunately, he was highly motivated and now determined to see what was inside that room.

How can I see what is inside that room, without getting into trouble doing?
Looking back at it now, he quickly thought of a plan and executed it.

My son threw his iPad into the bedroom, so he looked inside the room.
Then he picked up his tablet and returned to the living room.
I was speechless and impressed at how he managed to accomplished his goal.

Hamburger Hands

The kids and I played a game of stacking hands.

And during the game, he said " Hamburger Hands".

It is simply amazing how he comes up with these phrases.

Therefore, this game reminded him of an online game he played.

And in the game, he had to build or stack a hamburger.

Down Hug

My son loves to get on my back.

Due to his limited word bank, he created the phrase: Down Hug.

Down Hug translated means: daddy get down, so I can get on your back.

Imagine what getting on someone´s back and hugging looks like for his perspective and it does make sense.

His arms are around my neck and when you hug someone, you place your arms around them.

My son loves the bouncing balls that lights up.

He noticed that the light inside the ball was the same color as the lights on police cars.

Therefore, he created the term: police ball.

Scratchy Wheels

My son got scratched while playing with his bike and he tried to tell me what happened. He kept repeating

"scratchy wheels". Then I got it, he got the scratch when he was spinning the wheel on his bike. He

also told me that it hurt, what part of the bike that scratched him and that he wanted a band aid on the

scratch.

Today, I learned the meaning of scratchy wheels: I got a scratched while spinning the wheel on my bike.

This was 30 seconds inside my son's autistic mind.

I discovered the article above while researching for autism news. Please copy and the paste the link below to read the full article. My heart goes out to the Lee family and I will keep them in my prayers. However, I sadden by how this family loss their autistic son and no one has explanation on how or why this happened. I also have a son who rides the bus to school, so I completely understand how the Lee family felt safe and secure about their son safety. My sons' bus drops him off directly in front of the school then he is escorted to his class. In conclusion, no child should be left on a school bus from 8 am to 4 pm, and whether it is a substitute driver or not. This is even more important for special need drivers because we as parents trust them with our safety and livelihood, and these mistakes can not happen.
@2014 JSmithJr./Coupon Hustla

Dear Readers

As a father raising a son with autism, I always wondered what was going on inside my son's brain.

What are his thoughts? How does he see the world around him? How do we sound to him? I have so

many questions that can only be answered by him; unfortunately, he is not able to do so at the

moment. However, last year he started revealing a glimpse of his thoughts and how he possessed the

world around him. My purpose for this series is to share his thoughts, actions and reasoning skills to

parents who have a child with autism and parents who do not.

I discovered the article linked above, about an 8 year old boy with autism that broke my

heart. This story hits home for me because my son is 9 years old with autism and have meltdowns too.

The school and law enforcement failed this child. Unfortunately, due to their poor judgement and lack

of knowledge, this little boy has a criminal record, which could have been avoided. This is also why I

feel teachers, police officers and first responders need training about autistic behaviors and

individuals. Resources are available, due to the rapidly increasing numbers of individuals being

diagnosed with autism. As a dad who attends autistic training and workshops regularly, I realized

that the people in authority, who will benefit from these training the most, do not attend.

Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge,.."

I do not want my son or any individual with autism harmed or injured or destroyed because society

refused to learn how to interact with people who have autism. As parents our job is to protect our

children, and we are told to trust teachers and police officers to protect our children when they are

away from home. Then, this incident happens and our worst fears become reality.

As a result, this boy now has another issue to deal with along with his autism.

His parents who followed proper procedure to prevent incidents like this from happening, now must

try to help their autistic son get over this terrible experience. An experience that he does not

understand and one that will remain with him for the rest of his life. Sadly, the articles does not

mention that he will be labeled as a violent child, as a result of his meltdown and arrest.

Instead, I decided to play music videos on YouTube.

The first video I played was: Ed Sheeran - I See Fire (Hobbit Soundtrack)
http://youtu.be/2fngvQS_PmQ

This is a beautiful song, with a smooth melody, calming vocals, and great for a relaxing mood.
However, I got no reaction from the kids at all, so I decided to play another Ed Sheeran song.

The second video I played was: Ed Sheeran featuring Pharrell Williams - "Sing"
http://youtu.be/tlYcUqEPN58

As the song played, I started to sing the lyrics that were appropriate for kids to sing along with me.

Next, I stood up and danced because I wanted the kids to focus on me and not the video due to some

adult content. (Nightclub scene) The kids loved this song or loved my dancing and singing and before

I knew it, they were up and dancing with me. The three of us, was having an impromptu bedtime

dance party together as a family. We were having fun! Once video ended, each of them received a hug

and kiss, and I told them goodnight.

What have I done? I wonder if the kids will request another Bedtime Dance Party.

Disclaimer: "I see the fire" video contains scenes that might not be suited for all kids, such as: fire burning objects, a dragon, creatures and etc. "Sing" video contains scenes that might not be suited for all kids, such as: adults at a nightclub, alcohol and etc.
The Follow Up

            Two
days had passed since the incident happened, but it still bothers me. My
daughter was dropped off this morning, and the departing words of her mother
were: “give your brother, his cookies.” After having dropped our son off, two
days earlier, and not calling once to check on him, the only mention of his
name from her was about him getting some cookies that she sent in a bag; unbelievable! No mention of her missing him and that she
hated to return him home early. This's the part which bothered me the most;
because, I should not be the only one who feels this way about our son. Nevertheless,
she just gave the final instruction to our daughter, and off she went.

What was my reaction after the first phone call?

My initial thought
was why she would ask me that question
about bringing her to his medication. After all, my car is broken (which is
knows this) and she has transportation. Once she decided to keep the kids on Friday,
she could have picked up his medicine. Originally, I was told that she would
only be off on Christmas Eve (Wednesday) and Christmas Day (Thursday), which
usually meant that the kids would return home on Friday. I figured that it
would be okay because I would give him his medicine after he got home. However,
she decided to keep them; while being fully aware that she did not have his
medicine.

The Bottom Line

According to
Google Maps, she stays 2 miles from my apartment, and it is a 6 minute drive to
her place. If she wanted our son to have his medicine; then she would have driven
to get it!

Actions speak louder than words!

On Thanksgiving
Day, she picked the kids up before they ate dinner. When the kids told her they
were hungry, she called me. I explained that she picked them up prior to them
eating their dinner. Guess what happened next? She drove back to my place got
their dinner, and “claimed” that she did not have any food or money; then she explained
that she will go grocery shopping and cook the following day.

What was my reaction after the
second phone call?

            Honestly,
I do not care about how much it would cost her to replace their tablets. I was
more concerned with what caused my son to break something that he enjoys. My
other thoughts were, where was the babysitter? How could my son break two
tablets on the same day? My son knows how to plug up an iPads to charge it. Recently,
he was caught charging up his iPad Mini he received this year for Christmas
from me. My thoughts forced me to think about endless scenarios; such as, why
did the other little boy let my son break his tablet? Was my son alone with two
tablets? Once again, where was the babysitter?

The Bottom Line

My son loves and
enjoys electronic devices, but his favorite device is an iPad. He would not
break an iPad unless something was wrong with it.

The Knock at the door!

            One
hour later, after the second phone call ended, there was a knock at my door. My
son and his mother stood before me. I did not get an explanation as to why she only
had him. Furthermore, she was not there to pick up his medicine; instead she
dropped him off. Finally, I asked what time our daughter will return home. She
replied she was not ready to leave because she was having fun, but she will
return her home tonight. It was not easy, but I held my words and closed the
door. Her behavior is just ridiculous; because, she was willing to make two
separate trips to drop off each child, but not willing to make one trip to get
his medicine verses returning him home.

Winners & Losers

            Obviously,
I felt that my daughter and her mother were the “only major” winners. The mother
of my children got to spend an extra day and ½ with only our daughter. In fact,
it was more than just our daughter, the son of her boyfriend and their daughter
together were there as well. My daughter was happy because she finally got to
spend additional time with her mother without her brother.

            Surprisingly,
there’s a small part of me that believed that my son won too. My destroyer of tablets
appeared pleased with his mother's decision to return him home. Without any prompting,
he cleaned his room and was not upset when I did not give him his iPad that
night. Instead, he appeared to be a little disappointed, but he played on the computer
with no problems. While I prepared his dinner, he found his sister’s tablet
which is not an iPad and he did not break it. He even put it back in the box where
he found it. Later on, he found his iPad Mini, plugged it into the charger, and
played with it together with the computer.

            I
also feel as if he lost; because, he has never been alone with his mother
without his sister. I realized that it is completely possible for her to give
him quality one on one time with his sister present, but I do not believe this has
happened. I found out from my daughter, my son returned home because he did not
have medicine. And that her mother returned to her place with crawfish after
dropping our son off, and that was unfortunate because my son loves crawfish.
So he missed out on crawfish; as well, because his mother chose to bring him home
early and without feeding him crawfish.

How could a mother abandon her son when he needs her the most?

Our 9yr old son,
has been diagnosed Autism Spectrum Disorder, and this was his second major meltdown
that caused his mother to return him home early. The mother of my children decided
twice that it was easier to return our son instead of learning how to deal with
him after he has a major meltdown. I am concerned about this because, of the
repeated behaviors of his mother, I am afraid that my son has learned that he
will return home if he has a meltdown.

The More You know

The children were
told not to charge the tablets and to leave them in their cases by their mother
prior to her leaving for work on the day of the incident. However, the tablets
were not placed out of reach and naturally my son wanted to play with his
tablet. According to my daughter, the babysitter was on the balcony and my son
was in the room with the tablets. My son brought the tablets to the babysitter
when he could not charge them. The broken tablets were placed on top of the
refrigerator afterwards. The tablets that were broken were not iPads. Why is
this relevant? The only tablet my son is experienced with is an iPad, and the
tablets were broken by accident.

Why did I write this response?

I wrote this because
my heart hurts for my son even though he does not understand that he being
treated wrong by his mother. He deserves the same privileges as his sister and “those”
other children. After having fought the school system to have him in “inclusion”
(educated as a normal or typical child), I never thought I would have to deal
with Inclusion issues with his mother!

Final Question?

If our daughter or one of the other two children
would have broken the two tablets; would they have been brought home like our
son was?

Copper Sole Socks ( From Media Kit)

The term Athlete’s Foot is a little misleading. In fact, 70% of all people will develop Athlete’s Foot at some point in their life. You know what all those people have in common? It’s not a 40 inch vertical – they all have feet.

And, we’re guessing, so do you. But with Copper Sole socks you can put your worst foot fears to rest when you wear them at least 8 hours a day for around 4 weeks. They’re the only socks that contain EPA-registered Cupron AntiFungal Fibers. These special yarns are infused with copper ion technology which prevents and eliminates Athlete’s Foot fungus on the sock, killing 99.9% of it after 12 hours of contact.

Even if you’re sure your feet are fungus-free, you’ll be wowed by what these socks can do. The Cupron AntiFungal Fibers also eliminate and prevent foot odor, rejuvenating your feet while improving their appearance and elasticity. After only 4 weeks of wear you’ll notice a huge difference.

WHERE TO STOCK UP ON SOCKS?
Copper Sole wanted to make sure they made this exciting new technology available as soon as possible. In order to do that, though, you’ll currently only find the socks available online at coppersole.com/premiumsocks. But keep an eye out, as they’ll be available in stores next year!

KEEP YOUR SOCKS ON
In order to experience the full benefits of Copper Sole socks you’ll need to wear them for at least 8 hours a day. It’s starting to get chilly out there, so we imagine you’ll want to keep your toes warm, anyway. Plus, you can even wear them to bed every night and never wake up with stinky feet again.

My Review

I would like conclude this review about Copper Sole Socks using only 2 words Thank You!
These socks were simply the best socks I have ever had and I really mean that. I wore these socks for 8 hours as suggested and I did not want to take them off. My feet felt amazing the whole time I had them on.

Here are some benefits of using the Copper Sole Socks as stated on their website.

Guaranteed to kill athlete's foot on the sock, prevent & eliminate foot odor, & improve the condition of your feet. Powered by Cupron™ Antifungal Fibers

Only socks with Cupron™ AntiFungal Fibers have EPA registered fibers that kill 99.9% of Athlete's

Foot fungus on the sock after 12 hours of contact.

I may not understand what the above statements mean but these made my feet feel like they were loved.I have never walked on a cloud before, but these socks felt just as soft when walking in them.
I would recommend that athletes and non athletes buy these socks because these awesome socks will provide the comfort that your feet deserves.

Wisdomantics–New King James Version (NKJV) (From Media Kit)
is an interactive DVD board game for players of various faiths who desire to gain the vast wisdom of King Solomon. Wisdomantics-NKJV utilizes the proverbs of Solomon and blends chance, knowledge and strategy to create a fun experience while you learn! We are currently developing Wisdomantics-New International Version (NIV), a variation of the original game. This version of the Holy Bible is considered by some to be more mainstream and will allow us to reach a broader scope of consumers. The game’s intent is to bring individuals together to learn how to cope with numerous situations in a fun and relaxed environment.

Wisdomantics utilizes 2 DVDs which contain 400 multiple-choice questions/proverbs. There is a built-in variable timer which automatically adjusts for 1st, 2nd and final attempt questions. The DVD will grade your response and King Solomon will quote the proverb when you answer correctly.
Finally, the DVD will instruct players when to draw a specialty card which will enable them to navigate the game board.

The game board illustrations chronicle Solomon’s life! They begin with his most notable acts and achievements and end with a divided kingdom through disobedience and rebellion. Hear King Solomon quote his wise biblical truths. The audio-visual element is a huge plus and adds greater depth to the game. Players may also strategize with specialty cards, which can skip or detain opponents, recover lost assets, and provide protection from adverse scenarios. To replicate Solomon’s temple, players receive colored tiles (gold, cypress and cedar) as they navigate the game board. The first player to complete their Solomon’s temple scorecard wins!

My Review

The Good

Awesome game for the whole family and friends
This game has blessing cards!
You can play the game with the DVD and Board or with just the DVD's

The Not So Good

The game is not recommended for kids under 12
Blessing cards do contain actual blessings

Unfortunately, I could not play this game with my kids because my kids are 7 and 9 yrs old and I am a single parent. While the board game portion of the game was easy for my kids, the questions were a little advance for their age. Nevertheless, the game reminds me of a combination of Monopoly, Bingo & Taboo because it contains elements from each game. The option to play the game using only the DVD's was a good idea. My only let down was the blessing cards because I wanted each card to have a reward attached to it. However, the Achievement cards do offer rewards and obstacles that help determine if you will win or lose the game. Overall, it is a good board game that I can play with friends and my kids when they get older.

The Good

Ladies and Gentlemen the Street Hawk comes already assembled.
The instructions are easy to read and understand.
It only needs to charge for 40 mins and then its time to fly.

The Bad

The Street Hawk is made out of Styrofoam and fragile.
The propellers on the wings are very small and can come off.
The wheels are tin and should be use driven on smooth surfaces.
In drive mode, the Street Hawk can not move in reverse.

The Awesomeness

The Street Hawk looks awesome and cool.
The Street Hawk looks like a flying car because it is a flying car.
The Street Hawk's Styrofoam body provides protection from breaking.
Did I mention that it really does fly?

Final Thoughts

All the neighbor kids wanted to see the Street Hawk fly.
My kids loved it and could not trying to make it fly.

My son with autism only enjoys playing video games and electronic devices. However, once he saw the Street Hawk, he could not put it down.

If the Street Hawk can pull my son away from electronic devices then it gets my recommendation.
Buy the Street Hawk! Your kids will love it.

Dear Readers,

I wanted to treat my kids to hamburgers and homemade potato fries, but instead I discovered a terrible beef product, no one should try, ever. I beg you, please do not buy Flanders 8 quarter pound beef patties, even if the meat is on sale. I can't get my money back.

Flanders 8 quarter pound beef patties is terrible. Flanders does not taste like meat at all, or at least, any meat I ever had. Hamburgers served to kids in the cafeteria are better.

This experience reminds me of the episode of Good Times when the Evan's family bought some bad meat and tried to get the store manager to eat the meat, but refused to do so.

I feel the box should read beef substitute because it does not taste like meat. I have had veggie burgers that taste better.

I am thankful my kids tried it, but I will not give the meat to my kids again. I decided to try these patties, instead of believing other product reviews out there. I read one where the reviewer said the food was bad. I now believe her or him.

I am disappointed in myself, as a parent, for tasting the meat before feeding the kids Flanders. I do not recommend this meat.
The other night our family made this Mexican Hot Chocolate Chex Party Mix and it was a hit! It was easy to make and certainly easy to eat! The only hard thing about is was not eating it all by myself. It has a great crunch and sweetness to it, with a good hint of cinnamon. Perfect to serve at a party. We also put bags of it in the kids school lunches for a fun dessert. I followed the recipe below. I did sneak in a couple of extra cups of cereal, just to give us a little more to eat and it turned out fine!

Sponsored post #PlateFullCoOp
Platefull Co-Op
@2014 JSmithJr./Coupon Hustla

Buck Denver asks... My Review

I am a big fan and supporter of Veggie Tales and I could not wait to review this product by its creator.

The DVD was very informative and gave a good account of with happen in the New Testament. The dvd explains the origins of each book in the New Testament as well as the story of Jesus Christ.

The DVD features a hand full of puppets are fun loving comedic characters who the kids will enjoy. They will ask questions, sing songs and repeat important messages and points. In conclusion, I thought the DVD did a good job retelling the story of Jesus for kids. My kids and I watched it together and after 20 mins both of my kids were asleep. However, I also thought a times that it gave too much detail for kids and will lose their attention over time. I recommend that you try both series and see which one works for you.
