Feeding the Ducks layout made using the NEW My Quiet Book cartridge.

Hello, friends!

Today I have a layout. I know it has been a while since I have made a layout. I promise to get better about this! Anyway, it is made using the NEW My Quiet Book cartridge.

I used a mix of different paper.

I used the Cricut Craft Room basics cartridge for the font and they are cut out at 3/4".

I cut the trees out at 4", the ducks out at 2", and the pond out at 4".

I cut out the sun at 4" and the clouds out at 2" and 2 1/2".

Hello, friends!

Today's card is made using the Cake Basics cartridge, the Banners CCR cartridge, and the January stamp of the month.

This is for my middle brother who turned 28 last Friday. I actually thought of the idea after finding this patterned paper in my stash. You just never know what is going to give you an idea!

The paper is from My Mind's Eye.

I cut the circle out at 3" and the '28' out at 1 3/4". The banner was cut out using the CCR, so I am not sure of the size.

The stamps are from the January stamp of the month.

Music bag made using the musical note cricut craft room cartridge

I hope you all have wonderful productive weekends! Mine was spent looking at houses again. Fingers crossed this is almost over. Thinking about selling my house and getting another is so overwhelming that I want my very own turtle shell to pull into and hide. Have you ever wanted a turtle shell to pull into? This is a frequent thought of mine!

Hello, friends!

I hope you are all having a great week so far. Mine has been pretty good. My husband and I are looking into buying a new house. Selling this one seems daunting, but I think it will be worth it in the end. Not only that I am angling to get a bigger craft space ;-) Wish me luck!

Ok, so today is the last year in review post. It is the 'everything else' post. This past year I have moved from mainly cards and layouts to much more. I have started to make home decor items and cut fabric with my cricut. These things were not something I was ever interested in, but after a heart to heart with Joy I reluctantly moved into a zone that I felt would be uncomfortable. However, Joy was right as she always is (seriously, she is the smartest lady I know!) and I really started to like doing different types of projects.

2011 Year in review card version

Hello, friends!

Today I am going to post my favorite cards that I posted this year. I will post them by month to make it easy peasy to follow!

January:

This card is my pick for January because I just love flowers and this card has pretty little roses on it. Not only that I love the color PURPLE! It is made with the Formal Occasion cartridge. These roses are just little gems on this cartridge!

February:

I actually had a hard time choosing February because there were lots of cards that had flowers on them and apparently February was a big flower month for me. Instead I chose this card I made for my son's birthday using the Baby Steps cartridge....shhhhh don't ever tell my son. He would die if he knew I made him a card using a 'baby' cartridge.

March:

Now this card is made with one of my all time favorite cartridges, Damask Decor! Cannot praise this card enough. In fact, I am going to include two cards made using this lovely cartridge.

April:

Besides floral motifs I love sailboats. Seriously, I am not sure what it is but I am a total sucker for a nautical theme! For this card, I used the Just A Note cartridge.

May:

This card is made using the wonderful Serenade cartridge. I remember this is one of those craft ideas that I came up while laying in bed at night. Yes, my life probably makes you sad.

June:

This month is almost always a big release month for Provo Craft which means that there are lots of projects that were made this month. Therefore, I had a tremendously hard time choosing just one. I narrowed it down to my favorite three...I know...ridiculous!

I made this card using the Princess Party cartridge...who knew?

This card is made using the Space Party cartridge.

This of coarse is made using the Flower Shoppe and Fancy Frames cartridges.

July:

July's card is one of my most favorite cards of all time that I have made. Perhaps it is because I made it for one of my favorite people on the planet...my bestie Joy!

I used the Flower Shoppe cartridge

August

Now I used my favorite cartridge of the year (Art Philosophy) to help guide my pick for August. It is a very simple card, but I felt it turned out quite elegant!

This card was made using the Art Philosphy cartridge.

September:

It probably seems weird to see this card in the September section. However, PC released several Christmas items this month. For this particular card I used the Scandinavian Christmas card cartridge.

October:

This is one of the first times I used the long skinny card sizing that Joy turned me onto. Love love love the 9 x 4 size card!

This card is made using the Autumn Celebrations cartridge.

November

This was one of the first things I made using the FAB Cricut Craft Room and now I don't want to use anything else!

I used the Gnomes and Mushrooms Cricut Craft Room cartridge.

December

The is the last one! It is also made using the Art Philosophy cartridge. Love those flowers!!

Did you guys get any cool crafting stuff? I actually did not get any crafting stuff this year, but got some cool stuff. I kept reading that many of you had asked Santa for an Imagine. I hope that your wishes were granted because it is such a wonderful machine!

Celebrate card made using the CM This and That cartridge

Hello, friends!

Today I have another card that I made using the CM This and That cartridge. This one is not as dimensionally layered as usually do, but it is VERY layered. Basically, it is super envelope friendly! I really love using the new Cricut Craft room because I love sitting in front of the tv and designing my projects. The best part is getting the layers just right before I cut. None, of these cuts from this cartridge were necessarily meant to be layered like this, but I think it turned out pretty cool. I would never had thought to make something like this with out the CCR. There would have been far too many wasted cuts doing the trial and error method!

I used a border punch for the scalloped section, but you could make a similar border with scalloped borders found on cricut cartridges.

I added a little bit of sparkle using Glitz glitter gel from Close To My Heart.

Cheers New Year's card made using the This and That cartridge!

Hello, friends!

Today I have a card made using the NEW CM This and That cartridge. I thought I would make a New Year's card because some people send them, but there are not many card ideas out there. The champagne glass and 'cheers' sentiment were a perfect fit for the theme of this card. Now this would also work for anniversary cards or congratulation cards as well.

Notebook Doodles lunch bag

Today I have another lunch bag that I printed on using the Imagine and the NEW Notebook Doodles cartridge. I have to tell you, this is something that I am going to do for my little one's class room parties and for birthdays. It is so, easy and looks so great in person!

Love card made using the Victorian Romance cartridge and the CCR.

Hello, friends!

Today I have a project made for you using the Victorian Romance cartridge. I really love this cartridge! It has some really beautiful unique images on it. Today's card was completely designed on the Cricut Craft Room, so I am going to figure out this afternoon with the help of my VERY smart and tech savvy bestie ( aka Joy) how to upload the link to the files of the projects. I have started using the CCR a lot this last week and love it. I was really hesitant at first, but have totally ended up eating my words. It allows me to design in such an easy way. LOVE IT!

Love the Art Nouveau!
We don't have a New Year's Day tradition (other than sleeping in, unless it's a Sunday). But we have a group of friends who have been getting together at one family's house for probably the last 10 years on New Year's Eve. We look forward to it all year. Everyone potlucks it, and we bring games, and spend the evening playing games and laughing a lot. Then we usually watch the last 15 minutes of Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year and toast each other with sparkling grape juice. It's one of our favorite holiday traditions!

My favorite Christmas gift of all time was when I was 8 years old and Santa brought a 3 story Barbie house for my sister and me, complete with elevator and blow up furniture.I can still remember us sneaking downstairs while it was still dark outside to see what Santa brought. Our poor parents were probably up late building the darn thing but we woke them up to see it at 5am!

I too make a yummy breakfast casserole, both of my kids have moved on so this year I think I will surprise them on Christmas Eve and send them both home with a casserole to bake at their own home for Christmas morning, they will be so happy!

Sounds like a great weekend! Enjoy your holiday. The kids in our area go until the 23rd. Good for busy mommies...tough on teachers and bus drivers!

My favourite tradition is the weekend before Christmas when my brothers and their families and my family all get together for a big potluck meal, usually the last Sunday before. It really starts Christmas off for me.
