Over the last couple of days we’ve gotten quite a bit of snow out here in Kansas! My favorite part is that Rex loves the snow! I was worried that he would hate to go outside once there was snow on the ground, but he totally proved me wrong. He runs around, free as can be, it’s so cute to watch!

I know I have an extra biased opinion because I’m his Momma, but come on, have you ever seen a chocolate lab this beautiful? He’s perfect!

Whittleman Family Vacay | Lake Tahoe

For Christmas, Matthew and I took a trip with my family to Lake Tahoe! It was so beautiful, and not only was it our first Christmas as newlyweds, it was also our first White Christmas ever. It was Matthew’s first time seeing snow, and he was such a natural at snowboarding which was so fun to watch! AND we went snow mobiling, it was a blast, so when you get to the pictures of us with big bubble helmets on, you’ll know why! We loved Lake Tahoe and want to take another trip there during the summer time, we’ve heard the lake is awesome during the summer!

Huge thanks to my parents for such an awesome trip, we loved every minute!

Baby Wellington

I’m so excited for Lize and Rob, and I can’t wait to meet Baby Hall Wellington!

Lize and I played college volleyball together, and even though we haven’t seen each other in a couple of years, we picked up right where we left off. That’s the best kind of friend to have. Baby Hall is definitely blessed with wonderful parents! And have you ever seen a mommy-to-be as cute as Lize, my goodness, she is adorable with that bump! 2013 is bringing lots of joy to the Wellington home!

These sweet lovebirds tied the knot on November 24th, and when I say this wedding was absolutely beautiful, I mean every single detail. It was a gorgeous day in Austin, the lighting was simply perfect, and the day unfolded right on schedule. I love when a couple puts so much heartfelt meaning into their wedding day. Jolie and Dalton chose to add special touches to their wedding day; including, writing their own vows and praying together before the ceremony. It was a beautiful wedding, with lots of family and friends to share in celebrating such a beautiful couple!

Jolie and Dalton, thank you so much for allowing me to document the most important day of your lives. Many blessings to you guys throughout your marriage! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Schafer!

HUGE thank you to my sweet friend Chrissy, owner of Studio85, for taking these awesome head shots for me!

Chrissy has become a great friend of mine since our move to Kansas! After meeting, we realized we have a whole lot in common; both share a passion for photography and owning our own businesses, both got the same degree in college, both Army wives, both from Texas, and the list goes on forever! It’s been a much needed breath of fresh air meeting her in the midst of all this crazy moving around and adjusting to the Army lifestyle!

All of these images were taken by Studio85 and all editing was done by Courtney Leigh Photography! Typically, I’m not too crazy about pictures of myself, I am usually overly critical, but Chrissy did a KILLER job with these! I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! I’ve already updated my ‘Bio Page’ with a new picture (see here)!

I had the privilege of photographing Amanda and Chris’s beautiful wedding at the Sweetwater Country Club in Sugar Land, TX! They are such a gorgeous couple, and they had the best group of family and friends to help celebrate their special day! Amanda and Chris chose to have a ‘First Look’, which allowed them to have a special moment together before the ceremony and a chance for me to capture some sweet moments as well! A huge thank you to the Castagno and Rooney families for welcoming me and being so kind! I had a blast with y’all!
