East Windsor Farmer's Market

2015-05-03T05:23:00.001-04:00

I am so happy to have been asked to come take photos again this year at the East Windsor Farmer's Market. The market has an amazing group of local farmers, musicians, artists and crafters. Last year, there was a huge selection of fresh and delicious produce from local farms such as Murkowicz Farm, George Hall Farm, Winlox Farms and Draghi Farms. Some of the produce was picked the same morning as it arrived at the market. There was also fresh beef and steak from JT Farms. Local vendors last year included Happy Life Coffee, Sylvia's Hot Dogs, Sanremo Bakery, Colonial Kettle Corn, Naturally Clean, Whimsical Olive Branch, Next Step Living, Sunshine & Flowers by Goldie and many more. Live music was provided by Gonzalo Cortes and his Flutes of the Earth. This was all just one day at the market! Every week has something new to experience. This year will have many of the same vendors as well as some brand new ones.

Come out for opening day on June 21st from 11-2 to find me taking photos and pick up some wonderful local goods. The farmer's market is located at the Trolley Museum on 58 North Road. Bring the family and enjoy everything our community has to offer. Opening day will include performances by the Rhythms Dance Academy and Bactrax!

Get updates and find more information about the East Windsor Farmer's Market on their Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/EastWindsorFarmersMarket/

First Birthday Photo Session

2015-03-19T21:16:00.000-04:00

I thought I'd share a different type of session that I offer here at Courtney Lynn Photography. This is a shoot I did last year for baby E's first birthday! It was an adorable Very Hungry Caterpillar theme with bold primary colors. We ate fruit and then a delicious cake that his mom made! Ask about how you can book your child's birthday shoot. The "cake smash" is best for ages 1-4 but any age can have a super fun birthday session! Go with a cute theme, like their favorite character for the year or their favorite color and make the memories that much sweeter to look back on!

Sarah and CJ's Engagement Session

2015-02-09T19:37:00.001-05:00

Since I've been snowed in all day and dreaming of warmer weather, I decided to post a blog about Sarah and CJ's engagement session this past fall. We went to Lyman Orchards on one of the busiest days of the fall season. Luckily, we were able to fight through the traffic and crowds and find a few beautiful spots to shoot. I loved the late fall sun flare, the beautiful green apple trees and pumpkin vines and the gorgeous blue skies. Sarah and CJ are a really fun and vibrant couple and their personalities really shine in these photos. I can't wait to shoot their beach wedding this June. Here are some of my favorites from the day!

Moss Family Session

2014-10-07T21:43:00.000-04:00

Last Saturday I had a wonderful session with the Moss family in their gorgeous backyard. I was immediately greeted by their energetic dog Smudgy, who insisted on playing a few rounds of fetch and following me around to show me the place. He was adorable! The kids (two gorgeous girls and two handsome boys!) enjoyed making some incredible silly faces in between serious shots and munching on jelly beans. What a great way to enjoy the crisp fall weather! Here are some of my favorites from the session.

Nicole and Keith's Engagement Session

2014-09-24T15:53:00.000-04:00

I'm a huge fan of Harkness Park for sessions because there are lush, green gardens,a gorgeous mansion with Roman columns and a beach front. The diversity of this park is amazing to work with and it's especially perfect for engagements. Nicole and Keith included their adorable dog Rex and we caught some beautiful sunset moments. Here are some of my favorites.

Beautiful Backyard Barbecue Wedding

2014-09-22T19:27:00.000-04:00

Danielle and Michael had a beautiful backyard ceremony with family and friends. I loved the pops of color from the gorgeous flowers in the garden, the delicious barbecue food and a family oriented celebration including some cute dog guests. The couple made the celebration their own with adorable hand painted signs, a canoe full of ice and drinks and even a Ben and Jerry's dessert table! Check out some of my favorite photos from their day.

Sara and Tim's Vermont Wedding

2013-07-13T14:14:00.000-04:00

When Sara messaged me about photographing her wedding at Button Bay Campground in Vermont, I couldn't have been more excited. Sara is originally from Wisconsin and we met back in 2008 when we both attended Hallmark Institute of Photography in Massachusetts. Shortly after school ended, she met Tim who is from Vermont. Their red, white and blue themed wedding was as American as it gets. Sara's friends and family all came to Vermont from Wisconsin and I drove up from Connecticut. When I got to the campground, I was greeted by smiling faces and amazing Wisconsin and Vermont accents. We laughed around a campfire as both Sara and Tim's friends and families insisted that the others were the ones with accents. I really enjoyed hearing the comparison of words and how everyone pronounced them. I've never seen Sara happier than she is when she's around Tim. They light up around each other and have created a beautiful family of their own with their gorgeous daughter Samantha (Sammy) to complete it. Every detail of the wedding was perfectly planned right down to the fishing themed wedding cake (Tim and Sara love to fish together!), the red, white and blue flowers and matching bridal party outfits, an amazing pork roast and some delicious Wisconsin beer. A great blend of everything the couples loves! I love and admire Sara because she looks as great in jeans and t-shirt as she does in a white wedding gown and when the rain starting falling moments before her ceremony, she just laughed and walked to the pavilion between the rain drops. Sara and Tim know the real meaning of a marriage and love. Their wedding was laid back, romantic and family oriented. We all camped afterwards and they lit up some floating lanterns and sent them off into the sky. It was a perfect day and I'm so happy to have been a part of it. Here are some of my favorite images from the day along with a complete slideshow set to music. Enjoy!

Michelle's Bridal Shower

2013-04-22T17:49:00.000-04:00

On April 6th, I got to attend Michelle's beautiful bridal shower. It was held at the Powder Mill Barn in Enfield, CT on a cool but sunny early spring day. Michelle's friends and family all gathered for a yummy pulled pork barbecue meal to celebrate her upcoming wedding. The barn was decorated with pink, purple and white balloons, pretty flowers in mason jars, a delicious candy bar and even a hand-painted sign that said "35 Days Til She's Hitched." The shower had an adorable country garden vibe that Michelle's bridesmaids planned down to the smallest details. I loved the wedding dress-shaped cupcake display, the butterfly tree themed guest book and the seedlings given away in small terra-cotta orange planters. It was a beautiful event and I can't wait for her wedding...which is only a few weeks away! Are you interested in booking Courtney Lynn Photography to capture all the details of your bridal shower?
