Earlier today I was torturing myself on Net-a-Porter and came across the designer Vika Gazinskaya and was quite take aback. I love her 1960s lines and the elegant sophisticated silhouettes she uses, but also love the playfulness and whimsy of her looks... I want I want!!

Current Affair Wrap Up

Phew... what a whirlwind weekend!! I must admit it took me a few days to recover, but it was so fun and lovely to meet fellow vintage vendors and new clients :) As a whole, the day was a great success and I am already thinking up new and better ways to design my booth next time around... Take a peek at my before and after snapshots of my Moroccan Salon... ;)

I had a lot of support from friends who stopped by, some who even stayed all day, but I do have to give an extra shout-out to my wonderful fiance who lugged all this stuff up and down two flights of stairs and who let me vent out all my stress all week long leading up to it, and who brought me cocktails all day long... Love you!!

(.... and in case you're wondering, this is my very first Diane von Furstenberg dress!!) Check back in the CAV shop for more wonderful spring items to be added very soon... xoxo.

Reminder that A Current Affair is just 2 days away - eek!! I feel like I have so much to do before then, but am beyond excited to debut my vintage stock in a live setting and hopefully meet some of you!! CAV Branding Updates...

So sorry I haven't been posting at my usual pace, but I've been running around like a chicken without a head trying to prepare for the upcoming A Current Affair show THIS SATURDAY!! Make sure to come on down as there will be open bar, DJs and of course fabulous vintage from yours truly and many many more dealers..

But before that I thought I would share some branding updates and improvements for the shop...

Thanks to my lovely fiance and Moo I was able to ramp up my CAV branding with new mini business cards and merchandising stickers. I love love love the streamline look to them both and how the branding colors tie everything together....

My new Squareup card reader arrived last week and it works like a charm! So simple and user friendly and it can text or email receipts to customers.. I can do all my business from my iPhone at the show!

I bought circle hang tags from Etsy and then just yesterday found these hangers at Target! CAV brand colors will be ever present in my booth... I'm so excited for how this is all coming together!!

I am so blown away by the Fall 2013 RTW Dolce & Gabbana line.... the colors, the prints, the mosaics all just take my breath away... this is truly what high fashion is all about. And the fact that it's their Ready to Wear line amazes me.. but then again I'd be ready to wear any of these pieces in a heartbeat.

So I've been preparing away over here for the upcoming A Current Affair show next month and have decided on a Moroccan theme for my 10 x 10 ft booth... Don't exactly know how this will all come together, but I know I want a middle eastern salon feel to it...

Sooooo excited to announce that Couture Arabesque Vintage will have it's own booth at next month's A Current Affair in downtown Los Angeles. For those of you outside of LA, or who have simply never been to this show before, it is the premiere pop-up market for high end and designer vintage... This newest venture has been brewing for months now and I am so happy I can finally share the details with you all finally!!

Check out the current vendor page and you will find CAV front and center!! This is my first vintage show ever and I am a little freaked out, but mainly over the moon excited to be showing my vintage finds in person and to have the chance to meet you all in the flesh... I've been stockpiling some amazing pieces the past few months (including clothing) all of which will be available at the A Current Affair show in March. So mark your calendars!!!

While doing some photo research of Gucci I came across a bunch of images of automobiles decorated a la Gucci! Cadillac and something called a Gucci Sportabout... I had no idea that haute couture was making it's way into the auto industry.. does anyone know anything further about Gucci Cars??
