Wow, is it me or did they really shorten the Oscar de la Renta dress for Blair's strut down the hallway? I should try that with a few of my Oscar dresses, completely changes the look!
The edgy interpretation of Oscar's dress is capped off with Alexandre Birman python booties. I've been in love with Birman since the python platform sandals I purchased last spring and am pleased to note that despite his recent popularity, he has not jacked up his prices to four figures. Now where in the world can you find well made exotic skin shoes under $600??? Apparently at Bergdorf Goodman--Alexandre Birman Python Peep Toe Booties $595.
Have you tried the latest trend in boots-- the foldover? It is not a look for everyone (especially those with short legs) but this pair from Zanotti is really tempting! It's sleek and streamlined, not as chunky as some of the other styles I've seen-- and the stiletto heel will also help elongate the leg. But still, I'd stay away unless you have mile long legs. Be careful what you wear with it, though. You don't want to look like a Shetland pony!

I am having a love/hate thing with these booties, love the gray suede with black leather contrast and how cool is the bad ass cross stitch detailing!?! What I do not love is the price. For python or ostrich leg, fine. For strips of leather and suede? No! But they're so gorgeous I can't stop looking at them. Have a million things in mind to wear them, too. I will watch these each day until they go on sale (everything goes on sale!) I see the workmanship that went into them and can only imagine how difficult and painful it was to handstitch them but still, I have my limit. What about you, what is your limit on shoes?

Love the shoulder pads on it, Donna Karan told me that I must wear shoulder pads when I met her (I have very narrow shoulders)-- and who am I to argue? We dig the retro glam of Singer Mya's hair and dress as seen here at Kelly Osbourne's birthday party. She looks like a page right out of 1955 Vogue! I've been on a "Mad Men" marathon lately (watched 4 episodes in one night last week!) and have been very envious of Betty Draper's cute dresses very similar to Mya's Charley 5.0 "Hollywood Nights" Party Dress-- I love party dresses, it's what I'd like to wear daily actually. I have to say that while I admire her as a business woman, I'm not the biggest Tyra Banks fan. She's the queen of TMI and I almost always cringe when watching her on TV (even when she's acting! Did anyone else catch her awkward guest spot on Gossip Girl!?). I've never paid too much attention to her style-wise because she tends to either play it safe or go for over-the-top looks that veer on the ridiculous side.
