Beauty Blender Review

I genuinely cannot believe it's taken so long for me to buy and try the Beauty Blender. I heard so much about it, but I had previously tried similar products from other brands, and as much as they were okay, they weren't anything amazing. As the Beauty Blender is around £18 a pop, I just wasn't sure it would be worth the investment.

BUT... and this is a big but (think Kimmy K proportions), I caved one spendy day in Selfridges, and let me tell you, I have never looked back. In fact I now own two, and can't imagine my makeup routine without one!

Not only does it pick up just the right amount of product to evenly distribute foundation and blend seamlessly on the skin, it also has a wonderfully crafted tapered end, which is amazing at blending in concealer, highlighter and just makes professional-looking contouring an absolute breeze.

It is definitely on my product rave list of 2015, and if you haven't tried it yet, (because you can't quite believe the hype over a sponge perhaps)... let me tell you, you will not regret it. You can pick one up here for £18. You're welcome guys...

Last night the Topshop Autumn/Winter 2015 show at LFW proved propular amongst the regular FROW fashionistas and celebrities alike. All eager to get a glimpse of what the powerhouse brand has to offer for the coming season, Tate Britain was packed with some of the most notable faces in Fashion.

Being an avid fan of the Tangle Teezer for a couple of years now, I hadn't felt the need to go out of my detangling brush comfort zone... until I was given the opportunity to try the Wet Brush.

What I absolutely love is the fact it has a handle, so you can get an excellent grip, even on the most knotted of hair. For some reason when I wash my hair I have a tendency to leave the shower looking like I have just been white water rafting whilst wresting a hippo... so a good, gentle (but with clout) detangler is an absolute must in my hair-care routine.

The patented intelli-flex bristles are the perfect way to diminish knots in the hair, whilst avoiding snaps or breaks, they bend and flex for optimum comfort, whilst seriously getting the job done. NEW Charlotte Tilbury Lip Magic Launch

I recently picked up a few items from the new lip line from Charlotte Tilbury. Now, if you follow my blog you will know that I am a little bit in love with her make-up range. To say it has literally revolutionised my look is a drastic understatement, and I just couldn't resist these new perfect pout products.

Last year Charlotte bought out a 'Matte Revolution' line of lipsticks, which are an incredible mix of velvety matte finish, and creamy hydrating care, so basically you aren't left with harsh lines or dry build up. These new liners from the latest launch are matches to some of the beautiful colours in the matte revolution range, so you can get that flawless Hollywood finish Charlotte's Lipsticks are so famous for.

L 2 R: Bad Romance, Berry Naughty, Crazy in Love and Hollywood Honey

The four I picked (above) are Bad Romance, Berry Naughty, Crazy in Love and Hollywood Honey. Both Bad Romance and Berry Naughty are both designed to be used with the Glastonberry Lipstick, with BR giving a deep, purple finish and BN leaving the lips with more of a Red, Berry look.

The Crazy in Love liner is designed to be used with Amazing Grace Lipstick, which is one of my all time favourite shades. Its a gorgeous off-Red which is flattering on pretty much anyone, for a hit of undone glamour.

Hollywood Honey is ideal with the Bond Girl Lipstick, but works well with Love Liberty too. As there are so many sexy shades to choose from in the Matte revolution (and the whole K.I.S.S.I.N.G range in general to be honest), it is easy to get the perfect pout by mixing and matching the liners with a lipstick.

All I know is...if you want fuller, sexier-looking lips, then picking out a liner, lipstick (and gloss if you want a juicy finish) from the Charlotte Tilbury range is a fool-proof way to cheat a bigger, bolder pout. Guaranteed.

I couldn't walk away without picking up a just-launched scrub and balm to finish of the steps for infallible looking lips. Cara Who?... D.I.Y HD Brows

Before

I have had my brows professionally HD styled before, and the results were amazing. I love a full, bold brow and it achieved the perfect balance of shape and style. At £45 a time though, I decided to invest in a mini 'DIY HD Brow' kit, (comprising of some really sharp, good quality tweezers, eyebrow dye and a 10x zoom light-up mirror), just to see if I could achieve similar results at home myself.

Of course when you get it done in a salon, they will not only tweeze stray hairs, and amp up the colour with a dye - but thread and wax too. I definitely didn't want to look like I had been caught in a fight with a candle, so I just went with the tweezing to be on the safe side (the quality of tweezers is so so important). I think you can achieve a pretty similar look using just that!

I applied the dye (above), before I took to the tweezers, so I could really see what there was to pluck and shape more efficiently. As you can probably tell, I allowed my brows to reach cave man status by leaving them for around a week to grow to their own sexy bush-esque peak. The more there is, the more you can do!

Above is the finished result. I am super happy with the way I achieved this HD brow look, it has some much more definition and shape, a good brow is essential for making your eyes pop too. If you want to DIY, but are scared that you may go too far, or don't know your shape, you can visit a salon and just get them to do it once, so you always have a template for what suits you. You can then carry that on with your own brow beautifying kit, and save on a trip to the salon, not to mention serious dollar. You better watch it Miss. Delevingne...

I don't want to throw the phrase 'wonder product' around too loosely. But this has serious cause for a great big f-ton of praise and is quite possibly one of the best products I have ever had the pleasure of introducing to my skin.

Post party season I was in serious need of some skin rejuvenation. As in Total. Mess. Too heavy on the Brie and Port...(and Wine, and Gin and...well you get the idea), and I was breaking out, not to mention dehydrated. My face looked like a map of how-not-to have great skin, so I was banking on this heavily praised product to give me some kind of a lift.

I swear after one use I was absolutely hooked. I woke up looking infinitely more fresh and awake than I had in days, not to mention avec plump, dewy skin that I hadn't had in weeks. Living up to the hype much...

Her new collection of 'Matte Revolution' Lipsticks are the perfect balance of moisturising and matte, leaving you with a plump, perfect pout, with no cracking in sight. Ideal.

This colour ' Glastonberry' is quite possibly the perfect plum lip; an Autumn essential if you will. It hydrates, stays all day and flatters all skin tones.

So, this is basically the perfect illuminator. I am obsessed with Rose Gold everything at the moment, and this is definitely no exception. It gives you a beautiful, irresistible and a really rather naughty glow. I guess hence the name…

It is bursting with shimmering pigments of pink and gold that are perfect patted lightly up your cheekbones, to give you that effortless and romantic candlelit vibe. It is so beautiful I want to take it on a date myself.
