Why Twitter is playing a notable role in the upcoming iOS 5, and Facebook isn't?

But now, according to macrumors, who have been tipped with some screenshots of what they claimed to be about the possible Facebook integration into iOS 5.

We knew about the integration of Twitter into the upcoming iOS 5, but this is the first time to hear about Facebook integration, this is completely new.it is possible: Facebook integration into iOS 5 !

Ultimately, Apple's decision to integrate Facebook into iOS seems to rest negotiations between the two companies. Apple had closely integrated Facebook into their Ping social service, but the feature was pulled at the last second due to "onerous terms" that Apple could not agree to at the time. Since then, Facebook may be feeling more pressure with the early growth of Google's own social network, Google Plus.

Apple's Next Event Between San Francisco OR Campus In Cupertino, California?

Millions of people of all ages are waiting the event. News and rumors about Apple's next generation becomes as a hobby which is both interesting and fun. And every day and minute, there are more and more news and rumors. "Sources close to Apple's say .....", as many sites said. If you are an Apple's lover, you have to live with its news and rumors, even the you don't like.

Today, Sources close to the company say the demonstration — currently scheduled for Tuesday October 4, a date semi confirmed by all sites, will be held at Apple’s campus in Cupertino, California.

But what about Apple's history with its big product? If you remember, Apple has held its big product demonstrations in San Francisco, the iPad and iPad 2 where unveiled there.

This year things are going to be different. This year, Apple’s holding its big iPhone event closer to you, Why? Please try to help us by comment.

Why? That’s not entirely clear. Perhaps the release date was too much of a moving target to risk booking a large space like Yerba Buena Center for the Arts (YBCA), which has hosted a number of big product unveils in the past. Perhaps, the company felt a more intimate venue was best for newly installed CEO Tim Cook’s first media event.

Perhaps YBCA was simply already booked. Whatever the reason, the world will get it’s first look at the next iPhone at Apple’s Town Hall Auditorium in early October.

For who don't know, Town Hall Auditorium is the place that Apple used it for several occasions to announce new iOS versions to the press. All the floating rumors across the web is expecting that iPhone 5 will be announced by the beginning of October. On the other hand there are other rumors claiming that Apple will introduce updated version of iPhone 4 called iPhone 4S. Anyway let's wait and see.

Awesome Tip: Use Emoji In Your iOS 5 Folder Names

All you have to do is to go to Settings > General > Keyboard > International Keyboard > Add New Keyboard > Emoji. Then tell us what did you find by comment.

We’ve found this interesting feature in iOS 5.. Apple has included build-in Emoji keyboard in the iOS 5 and you can use it in folder names. Instead of having your applications broken down into App1, App2, and App3 folders, you can set apart each folder with an icon. It’s kind of hard to explain, but the images above clearly tell the story.

Skype On iPhone Has A Big Hole Allowing Hackers To Steal Your Information

Here's an important advice for you and your friends: Remove Skype from your iPhone now! There's a big hole / vulnerability which allows hackers to steal your information of all your address book content.

The hole works like that: Hackers are allowed to enter javascript commands into Skype usernames then a chat message is sent to the user and a program is loaded onto a web server to receive the address book content.

Security research from SuperEVR:

I found that Skype also improperly defines the URI scheme used by the built-in webkit browser for Skype. Usually you will see the scheme set to something like, “about:blank” or “skype-randomtoken”, but in this case it is actually set to “file://”. This gives an attacker access to the users file system, and an attacker can access any file that the application itself would be able to access. File system access is partially mitigated by the iOS Application sandbox that Apple has implemented, preventing an attacker from accessing certain sensitive files. However, every iOS application has access to the users AddressBook, and Skype is no exception.

TechCrunch says that Skype is aware of the problem:

Skype says it is aware of the security issue, and had issued the following statement:

“We are working hard to fix this reported issue in our next planned release which we hope to roll out imminently. In the meantime we always recommend people exercise caution in only accepting friend requests from people they know and practice common sense internet security as always.”
The non-patronizing first sentence would have been sufficient, Skype.

Facebook To Introduce New Profile Design Tomorrow

Tomorrow is one of the most important days for Facebook this year.. it's the f8 developers event which is scheduled for September 22. According to two reliable source who told Mashable that Facebook is probably going to launch a major profile redesign and “will make Facebook profiles nexuses for consuming content.”

Facebook plans to roll out a major redesign of user profiles at its f8 developer conference this week, Mashable has learned.

Details about the redesign are sparse, but two sources familiar with Facebook’s plans (who have asked to remain anonymous) have told us that the redesign is “major” and will make Facebook profiles nexuses for consuming content.

The profile changes will be part of a wider launch, one that will include launch of a music and media platform.

Google+ Goes Public With Over 100 Total Improvements Added

Great news, really great, folks! Google has finally opened the sign ups of Google+ for anyone. You can now join Google+ social network without need to any invites or anything. Google has also added 91 changes during the social network’s beta trial, which lasted just under 90 days, and that it is deploying nine new changes on Tuesday.

The Google+ project has been in field trial for just under 90 days, and in that time we’ve made 91 different improvements (many of which are posted here). Google+ is still in its infancy, of course, but we’re more excited than ever to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to software. Today we’re releasing nine more features that get us that much closer.

Moreover, Google has unveiled its plan to bring Hangouts and other options to mobile phones. Hangouts is the Google+ feature that allows you to video chat with up to 10 friends.

Chronic Dev Team To Release 5 New Userland Jailbreaks Soon

Just a quick heads up: The Chronic Dev Team (@p0sixninja and @iOPK) during MyGreatFest has announces that they've discovered 5 new userland jailbreak exploits for iPad 2 and iPhone 5. P0sixninja was on the stage in MyGreatFest and announced the biggest news we've heard this week!

P0sixninja said that they're willing to release a userland jailbreak for iPhone 5 as soon as it's released. He also notes that the the next jailbreak will be the most amazing jailbreak yet.

He quoted that they'll need the iPhone 5 itself to know which exploit will work on it:

The team is as ready as it can be for the iPhone 5 jailbreak, without having the actual handset. Once the iPhone 5 is available, the Chronic Dev Team will be working hard to find a jailbreak solution, and release it to the public.

This is according to Google+ statistics caught by TechCrunch which states that The Facebook CEO has 21,213 followers, compared to the Google CEO at 14,798, Google social czar Vic Gundotra at 13,783, Google co-founder Sergey Brin at 11,629, blogger Robert Scoble at 11,389, Google spam avenger Matt Cutts at 9,153, TWIT founder Leo Laporte at 7,566, Google’s Bradley Horowitz at 7,187, TechCrunch’s MG Siegler at 6,579 and blogger Gina Trapani at 5,649.

How To Save iPad 2 All iOS SHSH Blobs Using TinyUmbrella

Just a while ago we reported that Comex has recommended iPad 2 users to save 4.3.3 SHSH blobs. If you don't know how to save SHSH, here's the tutorial using TinyUmbrella.

To save SHSH Blobs for iPad 2, download latest version of TinyUmbrella from here and then run it. Connect your iPad 2 to your computer. TinyUmbrella will automatically detect it. Make sure iTunes is closed. Navigate to Advanced tab and uncheck 'Set Hosts to Cydia on Exit' and 'Request SHSH from Cydia' Now hit the Save all SHSH button at Top-Right side of the window.

Of course everyone has learnt about the leaked version of JailbreakMe 3.0 and we didn't post it as it's really a buggy version and will cause many problems to iPad 2 jailbreakers. Comex has said that someone made a dictionary attack to get the beta version of JailbreakMe 3.0 on his Twitter, "Congratulations, some moron used a dictionary attack(?) to leak a buggy version and put me on a useless time limit."

We'll not post links for this beta version but we are advising everyone to save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.3.3 NOW before Comex release the final version of JailbreakMe 3.0 on his official site. Comex said that this beta version delays the bootup and cause some problems. He recommend everyone to use TinyUmbrella to save iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs right now.

A GM build typically means a public release is due out in the very near future, meaning the Mac OS X Lion release date may be a lot earlier in the month of July than some originally expected.

iPad 3 and iPhone 5 With High-Resolution In October (REPORT)

DigiTimes, based on an industry chatter in the Asian supply chain, reports that Apple has begun preparing manufacture parts for iPad 3 and iPhone 5.

Taiwan-based companies included in the supply chain for iPhone 5 and iPad 3 have begun to prepare materials for the production of the two devices, which are likely to make their debuts in September and to hit the market in October, according to industry sources.

The report also claims that the third-generation iPad will be “even thinner and lighter”, with high-resolution increasing to 250dpi.

GMail Got A New Interface And You Can Try It Now !

Google is doing great efforts to satisfy its users and here's something it's doing right now. Google is officially pushing new GMail interface. Thanks to Google's users' feedback, they could launch a new interface with two new themes to try out as a sort of sneak peek at what we’re up to.

Starting today, you’ll see the “Preview” and “Preview (Dense)” themes in the Themes tab in Gmail Settings. Why two themes? Our new interface will eventually expand dynamically to accommodate different screen sizes and user preferences, but until then you can pick the information density that you prefer.

To try it now, simply go to Gmail Settings, click on the Themes tab and select “Preview” or “Preview (Dense)” as your theme to try this yourself then tell us what do you think?

Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook Plans “Something Awesome” Next Week

Have you been invited to Google+? Well, I've already been invited and I think it's awesome but Facebook gonna do something about this. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has today announced that Facebook is about to launch something awesome next week, Reuter reports.

Chief Executive and founder Mark Zuckerberg told reporters in a visit to Facebook’s Seattle office on Wednesday that the company planned to "launch something awesome" next week.

He said the project had been developed at the 40-person Seattle office, Facebook’s only major engineering center outside of its Palo Alto, California headquarters.

Reuters suggests that it may be the much-much-waited Facebook app for iPad. It could be also the photo-sharing app, something like Instagram or PicPlz. Reuters asked Facebook to comment but they prefered to keep this things private. May be a dislike button?

This Jailbreak Tweak Lets You Run Multiple Apps Side By Side on iPad

Aaron Ash, a well-famous iPhone developer, has today managed to run two iPhone apps side by side on the iPad. The developer of the tweak didn't mention it's name and didn't give an ETA on his blog post but he said it's going to be public soon.

Yes, and it actually works! I’ve wasted plenty of time already playing 2 games of Angry Birds at the same time. (I actually was playing 3 for a while, but it crashed when I tried to add a 4th). There are a few bugs, such as audio not working, and accelerometer events not getting sent to applications; it may take a while to sort these out. The bottom right button turns on “edit mode” which allows you to rearrange applications, and rotate them (Angry Birds normally runs in landscape, here they’re turned). I’m debating on if I should go for the typical desktop feel or make it more SpringBoard-like and keep apps in preset locations. I probably won’t have time to really polish this up and release for a few months, but I’ll keep hacking away at it and possibly post updates every now and then. Performance is actually pretty good, definitely useable.

Apple To Offer Free iPhone 3GS (With Contract) This Year (REPORT)

Apple is expected to launch the iPhone 5 this fall and bring a lot of new features that we don't even know yet. AppleInsider today has posted a report which claims that Apple is prepared to offer the iPhone 3GS, first released in 2009, as a free subsidized phone with a two-year service contract.

According to an Analyst:

While a $49 iPhone is already available (AT&T), psychologically a $0 iPhone provides a compelling offer," Abramsky wrote in a note to investors. "Proprietary survey data... suggests 14% are very/somewhat likely to buy the iPhone 3GS for free with 2-year contract, exceeding buying interest for the iPad (13%) and original iPhone (9%).

Analysts are not the most reliable sources but they're good to be trusted. The iPhone 3GS was dropped to $99 with contract and it won't differ a lot with Apple in case it dropped the iPhone 3GS to free with a 2 years' contract.
