OK, this is the first podcast for the semester. I finally got the kinks worked out again where it is recording again. There is a minutes dead space at the beginning of this show. I was getting the station up and running and started recording a little early. There are a lot of requests in this show as well. I had a bad back during this show and it was distracting me from my show. Thank you to all of you that made request as this made things go easier. Hello everyone, I am sorry this is late in coming but things have gotten a little busy around here. I tried unsuccessfully to podcast this show but, alas, it was not meant to be. I had a great show though. I apologize for not running my show last week, but I had dealings with the army that couldn't be avoided. I will be up and running again for the show on Oct 5th and I will attempt to sort out why I was not able to podcast the show last time. In either case, here is the play list from my last show.

And Here we are at the start of a new semester, and with it the return of 80's Retro Flashback!!!

I have a new day and extended hours!!! You can now hear all of your favorite 80's tracks Fridays from 2 - 5pm, all from the comfort of your office cubicle!!! And can you really think of a better way to end your work week than rocking out to the worst, best and cheezy-est of the decade of decadence??? I think not!! Those that have listened in the past can almost not go through a work week without it - It does make the day go by soooooo much faster and when it is done - so is the entire work week (if you work on Saturdays - well, your just bumming!!)

This show was the best of both worlds. It started off and ended on a faster pace, but had a lot of the good slower tracks in the middle. I try not to slow it down too often and for too long so as to not make the shows boring, but I think this worked.

There were some power grid problems in the show today. Twice there were power fluxuations that made the CD players lock up and had to be turned off and back on. Total Down time is not much but it is in there. Other than that, I think that is the most request I have ever played in one show!!! Good Show - I home you enjoy.

OK, So this podcast was a total loss. I noticed that Audacity had stopped recording half way through the show - I check regularly. Audacity never actually stopped recerding but Windows Media Player stopped playing the show. I had hoped that it would still be salvageable, but alas it is lost forever. This is the play list incase you were listening live and wanted to know about the songs I played, but I will not be able to offer a podcasted show to download - Sorry!!! Life Happens!!

Here is the first of my 80's Retro Flashbacks to get podcasted!!! I am kind of excited about this. 80's Retro Flashback is the best and worst of the 80's focusing on the alternative side of things but definately including all areas of the decade!!! I have had a lot of poeple compain about not getting to listen to my shows live, so now is your chance!! You still will not get to listen live and make requests per se, but you will now get the chance to listen in as if it were live and if you make requests in advance it will be as if you were listening in live, whith the exception of being able to listen in when it is good for you!!!

I normally get a much bigger kick out of my 80's show than my industrial one. I really enjoyed this show too, but I was a little distracted making sure it went smoothly than actually enjoying the show. That's Ok because I am listening to it right now!!! Anyway, this show has some slower songs in it that I might not normally play. Next week should be back up to speed.

I hope that you have subscribed to this blog so that you can be in touch with when updates are made. I will no longer be making posts on my MySpace blog about play lists or shows. This will be the place to come for show info.

Today was a monumental leap forward into the 21st Century for me!!! Today marks my first ever podcasted show. This is also the first time I have ever been able to record my show!!! Whoot whoot!!!

The show went surprisingly well. There were some glitches with my vox in the first station call, but I managed to isolate that early on and fix the problem. Other than that things are good. The show itself went well too. I decided that I would play a lot of stuff I don't normally get a chance to play due to language content and / or just being slower than I normally like to keep things. Over all it seemed to work well - but I will let you be the judge of that.

Before I post the play list and the link to the show, I want to encourage you to post comments about the show here. Positive and negative feedback is always welcome (as long as it is constructive) as I would like ot improve upon this now!! So please let me know what you think!!

This is a post about me second radio show mentioned in the last message. This is an 80's alternative show by the name of 80's retro flashback. This is the first real blog about my shows. I have two radio shows throught eh University of Michigan Dearborn - WUMD. The shows are normally broadcast live. I am planning on recording the shows and posting a link to them here to allow listeners that cannot listen in live to enjoy the shows or if a listener really liked a show, to allow them to relisten to it.

My first show is Das Schlachtfeld, which is German for the Battlefield. It is an old school industrial, goth, EBM, synthpop, anything goes in the genre type show. My other show is an 80's show by the name of 80's Retro Flashback. Das Schlachtfeld goes on live normally on Tuesdays from 2:30 - 4:30 Eastern Time. I always take and play requests (when I have them). You may make requests here.
