India is densely populated and has high solar insulation, an ideal combination for using solar power in India. India is already a leader in wind power generation. In the solar energy sector, some large projects have been proposed, and a 35,000 km2 area of the Thar Desert has been set aside for solar power projects, sufficient to generate 700 GW to 2,100 GW.

Also India's Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has released the JNNSM Phase 2 Draft Policy, by which the Government aims to install 10GW of Solar Power and of this 10 GW target, 4 GW would fall under the central scheme and the remaining 6 GW under various State specific schemes.

In July 2009, India unveiled a US$19 billion plan to produce 20 GW of solar power by 2020. Under the plan, the use of solar-powered equipment and applications would be made compulsory in all government buildings, as well as hospitals and hotels. On 18 November 2009, it was reported that India was ready to launch its National Solar Mission under the National Action Plan on Climate Change, with plans to generate 1,000 MW of power by 2013. From August 2011 to July 2012, India went from 2.5 MW of grid connected photovoltaics to over 1,000 MW.

According to a 2011 report by BRIDGE TO INDIA and GTM Research, India is facing a perfect storm of factors that will drive solar photovoltaic (PV) adoption at a "furious pace over the next five years and beyond". The falling prices of PV panels, mostly from China but also from the U.S., have coincided with the growing cost of grid power in India.

Government support and ample solar resources have also helped to increase solar adoption, but perhaps the biggest factor has been need. India, "as a growing economy with a surging middle class, is now facing a severe electricity deficit that often runs between 10 and 13 percent of daily need”.

Scion FR-S - First Drive 2013

It is no secret that the upcoming 2013 Scion FR-S (known as the Toyota 86 in Japan) is nearly identical to the 2013 Subaru BRZ. In fact, both automakers are forthcoming about this partnership. Toyota led the product planning and styling, whereas Subaru led the engineering development and manufacturing.

Powering the Scion is a Subaru-developed direct-injected 2.0-liter flat-4 with 200 bhp and 151 lb.-ft. of torque. Two 6-speed transmissions are available: a manual or an automatic. The rear-drive FR-S has MacPherson struts in front, a double-wishbone rear, and a Torsen limited-slip differential.

The Scion’s head engineer, Testuya Tada, says the FR-S will rekindle a love affair for the back-to-basics sports car a lightweight rear-drive with a low center of gravity. Initially there was some nervousness between the companies about whether the car ought to be all-wheel drive or rear-drive. In fact, development even stopped at one point because the two could not come to a declaration. Liquid foam insulation is done either by applying from small spray containers as a liquid or by means of a pressure sprayed product for heavy duty applications. Both types expand and solidify as the chemical mixture cures. Both spray foam and foam boards are equally versatile and can be used to insulate roofs, walls, foundations, entry and overhead garage doors, pipes and tanks, under basement slabs, or over a slab-on-grade floor.

Be it any type of foam insulation, you must take care to protect it from direct sunlight as the sun's ultraviolet rays have the potential to damage them. For roofs, it’s preferable to apply a coating of tar/ acrylic/ silicone/ rubberized paint. Or else, you can also cover the foam with a rubber or plastic membrane or a layer of asphalt and roofing felt.

Foam board insulation is very effective in preventing the oppressive summer heat from penetrating into your home. It also would help you conserve energy and save on your utility bills. Foam board insulation is a rigid foam sheet, usually four by eight feet (1.2 by 2.4 m) in size, used in nearly all aspects of building construction to provide thermal resistance in floors, ceilings and walls.

Polyurethane and Polyisocyanurate foam board are very similar in content. Foam board insulation is usually placed between the exterior finish and the studs of exterior walls. To prevent air infiltration, it is necessary to place rigid insulation boards tightly together and seal the seams with tape or caulk. Polystyrene foam board insulation is done in much the same way as Polyurethane and Polyisocyanurate foam boards, except for the differences in expansion.

Please bear in mind that foam board insulation is susceptible to deterioration through exposure to sun. Though foam insulation offers no food value to insects, still insects can bore holes into it. Therefore it will be necessary for you to take appropriate precautionary measures to protect your insulation from sun and insect damage.

Foam insulation is not easily combustible but if ignited, it burns and emits dense, black, smoke containing pernicious toxic gases. Because of these inherent perils, foams used for construction will require a covering as a fire barrier.

A lot of precaution is necessary to install foam insulation. You may have to use a mask helmet and gloves. It is even advisable to cover your whole body as foam is hyper allergen and it could lead to dermatological problems. When we are considering attic insulation, there are several factors that we should keep in mind. There are two main types of blow in attic insulation. These two are most commonly used. They are cellulose and fiberglass insulation. Also there is the blow in rock wool insulation but the use of it is not so common.

Cellulose, which is most commonly used, is a natural product of wood. It is primarily made out of natural newspaper. To meet the smoke development and flame spread requirements of today’s building codes; a fire retardant chemical is added to the cellulose. The fiberglass insulation material that is used is the same material that batts or roles of the fiberglass insulation except for the fact that it is chopped or cubed so that it can be easily installed with the help of the insulating blowing machine. The fiber glass insulation will typically consist of 20% to 30% of recycled glass.

The r value of the cellulose that is used is R-3.2 to 3.8 per square inch. The loose filled fiberglass will have an R-value of R-2.2 to 2.7 per inch cube. To achieve the desired R value, you will have to depend on both the depth of the insulation as well as the density.

There are varying R values for ceiling insulation based upon the energy codes as well the climate of your locality. Based on the type of attic that you have, the code requirements may also vary. For example for joist assembled roof assemblies as well as for attics with single rafter may vary. There is a typically a chart on the insulation bag that will have the accurate depths for the various R values.

There are depth markers that are required to be placed in attic space which the WSEC requires to help the inspector and the installer verify the depth of the insulation. Rich Lowry has an article worth reading about the chill effect Obama's campaign and supporters are embracing in curbing freedom of speech. Some excerpts:

When an outside group ran TV ads pointing out links between Obama and the former Weatherman terrorist Bill Ayers, the Obama campaign asked the Bush Justice Department -- yes, that Bush Justice Department, the fount of all evil -- to open a criminal investigation.

The Obama campaign's effort dovetails with the work of an outfit called Accountable America, run by a former MoveOn.org operative. It is devoted to threatening conservative donors with legal action and exposure of any embarrassing details of their private lives if they give money to groups running ads against Obama. The New York Times account says the group hopes to create "a chilling effect," but the phrase is used non-pejoratively.

Liberal editorial boards have apparently lost their former zest for the First Amendment. Consider this approving sentence from a New York Times editorial: "The wholesale descent into Swift Boat campaigning has been blocked -- for now -- by a federal judge in Virginia." It was written about a judge denying an injunction against the Federal Election Commission sought by a pro-life group running radio ads attacking Obama. The group thinks the First Amendment protects political speech; unfortunately, the courts disagree.

But the Times goes beyond mere legalities. It asserts with no evidence that the group's advertising is "lies," then urges the FEC to "be vigilant for what will inevitably be fresh attempts to mislead voters with fresh lies." Here's a newspaper charging a governmental agency with policing and shutting down campaign ads it doesn't like.

It's all just a taste of what's to come if Obama wins and Democrats have even bigger majorities in Congress, emboldening them to try to crush their antagonists once and for all. "Hate is not a family value" was a popular bumper sticker on the left during the 1990s. Now, the left has embraced hate as, if not a family value, the organizing spirit of its long assault on George W. Bush, and anyone else in the way, from Joe Lieberman to Sarah Palin.

America's partisan politics has always featured its share of rancorous abuse, but there's something rancid at the heart of the new, blog-driven left that believes its bullying childishness has led the way out of the wilderness. This spirit will inevitably seep into an Obama administration. Whatever Obama's professions of his commitment to cross-partisan understanding, he's never confronted the left of his own party and has always been willing to engage in hardball when it suits his purposes.

Please note this blog was started in part because a cabal of Obama supporting moderators on a forum I participated on threatened to ban me for my vocal support of Sarah Palin and John McCain. I have curbed my political participation on that forum and created this blog as an unfettered outlet for expressing my political opinion.

Quick to denounce their dissenters, California NOW has issued a statement making sure we all understand that Shelly Mandell was speaking for herself only (as Shelly made clear in her comments). Wouldn't want to be caught actually supporting strong, independent, courageous women like Shelly or Sarah Palin, would NOW? No, their brand of feminism is a big, fat, lie.

Obviously, Palin can't be a feminist because she is a mother of 5, who is happily married, with a husband who is fully supportive of her and her ambitions; she was in the PTA, became Mayor of her town, moving on to take on big oil, and becoming the Governor of Alaska. Now she, at 44, is the second woman candidate for Vice President of the United States in its history. But by NOW's thinking, she TOTALLY disqualifies as a feminist, despite being the first to publicly thank Geraldine Ferraro for cutting the path for her, and always making sure to give mad props to all the women who came before her, such as Hillary Clinton. No, according to NOW that's not a feminist at all, because, you know, she's....sotto voce...Republican....BITE ME, NOW! You have turned feminism into a big, fat lie.

Yeah, she is pro-life, but she translates that as being pro-mother, and wants to get more support for women as mothers (surely not a bad thing), why do we as feminists have to hate motherhood? Or think that we cannot be mothers and successful women at the same time? Palin is an icon for working mothers, she is a powerful symbol of what we are all capable of. NOW should be ashamed of itself, for turning their backs on Sarah Palin, and all the women she represents, and is an inspiration to. If Sarah Palin could energize Republicans, think of what she could be doing for feminism. But nooooooooooo......NOW has to support the empty suit. Not women.

I hope you are still reading this, NOW. You were kind enough to make a point of showing up on this little, unheard of blog to post your statement in the comments. I appreciate that you want your position clarified - that is completely understandable. But this is one feminist who is bitterly disappointed by it. The contemporary feminist movement is OVER. Irish Left Duped By Petrocrats

You really have to read all of Ed Lasky's article, How allies of George Soros helped bring down Wachovia Bank. But here are some key points that overlap with politics in Ireland.

One of the steps the Sandlers have taken on their own is to start ProPublica with a 10 million dollar donation, a sum which they promise to replenish annually. This is an outfit that will engage in investigative journalism and will provide its "findings" to larger media outlets for greater impact at no cost.

Unsurprisingly, though, ProPublica has already shown that agenda-driven journalism is its founding principle. One of its first pieces of "investigative journalism" was an attack on the oil and gas industry for developing the Marcellus Shale (a vast natural gas reservoir located in northeast America). ProPublica reported that developing this domestic energy source would damage the environment and advocated that these resources not be developed.

Maybe the Sandlers are helping their political ally George Soros, a hedge fund manager who runs an offshore fund whose investors may well include some of the world's wealthiest and most anti-American petrocats. Shielded from scrutiny by offshore operations, the names of Soros's investors are a closely-guarded secret. But perhaps more than a few of them would look askance at expedited development of our own energy resources. We would be less dependent on petrodollar rich abroad, and the price of oil and gas would weaken, should domestic energy resources like the Marcellus Shale be developed.

So, a rich donor gives millions to a socialist activist with questionable ties in order to start a reputable "watchdog" or "guardian of the public" agency that will issue reports on issues of the day. A pressure group think tank which bills itself as completely impartial. Some of the first reports this group focuses on are alternative energy pipelines, which are surrounded by left wing protests - the reports go in favor of the protesters' arguments. Sound familiar? It should.

Chuck Feeney got burned by the same scam, when he offered to pay for a similar scheme in Ireland, the 'Centre for Public Inquiry' run by Frank Connolly, brother of Niall Connolly, Sinn Fein representative in Cuba who ended up in a Colombian jail for training FARC rebels. What scuppered Frank Connolly's ambitions as a watchdog was his visit to FARC territory. George Soros is a huge backer of Sinn Fein's Gerry Adams, who was a guest at the recent Clinton Global Initiative in New York - his bio for that event makes for interesting reading in that is manages to completely omit the letters I, R, and A from his history.

The point is, what is happening in America is truly happening globally. It has been a key component in propping up the Northern Irish peace process, right down to the "Truth Squad" tactics being employed by Obama - Gerry Adams and Sinn Fein were there first - or at least acting in tandem, funded by the same trough, using the same tactics.

I realize this may sound a bit out of left field but the similarities between what this article says and what happened with Sinn Fein and the Irish Peace Process, right down to the magic Soros name, are too on point to let it go without mention.

Of the 3 reports the CPI managed to publish before going bust, thanks in large part to then Justice Minister Michael McDowell, 2 of them focused on the Corrib gasline in Mayo, which protesting against has been a cause celebre of the Irish left - "Shell to Sea".

Has the Irish left been totally duped by Petrocrats? I would not be surprised.
