Sandy Bridge adalah nama mikroarsitektur processor generasi ke-dua dari processor Intel seri Core i setelah Nehalem. Proyek Sandy Bridge ini dimulai pada tahun 2005 di Israel, didemonstrasikan pada tahun 2009 dan mulai diluncurkan ke publik pada tahun 2011.&lt;br /&gt;

Diintegrasikan dengan GPU(Fusion Processor) sehingga performa grafis dan perhitungan semakin optimal dan hemat daya.&lt;br /&gt;

Ciri-ciri processor dengan mikroarsitektur Sandy Bridge dapat kita ketahui secara kasat mata. Ciri-ciri processor ini adalah ada 4 digit angka yang diawali dengan angka 2 (Angka 2 dipilih karena Sandy Bridge adalah generasi ke-dua pada jenis Core i) yang mengikuti nama jenis processor contohnya "Core i5-2500K", "Core i3-2100T", "Core i7 Extreme-3960X".&lt;br /&gt;
