I’ll be honest, I’m a sports fair weather fan. Patriots in the Super Bowl? It’s in my nature to be fiercely loyal so obvi I’ll be watching with as much hard core intensity as if I were a life long Pats fan who had watched all season with baited breath. My most recent newborn session was the adorable Baby Boy E. The Patriots newest fan. Check out the adorable newborn baby boy in Patriots gear!

What to Wear to your Photo Session

I have some capital A-dorable outfit ideas to share with you this month. “What should I wear?” is a very common question I get. I’m hoping to periodically throw out some ideas to help steer you in the right direction. Complete with links on where to buy the items

For choosing family outfits I always say: you do not, I repeat do not have to all wear the same shirt and pants! In fact, I really prefer you do not. The key is to pick a color palette and imagine everyone’s outfit is a small piece of one larger outfit. Choose your color palette based on what looks best on you and your family. Also, it’s important to take into account where you would like to display these photos. If you’re hankering to have a 16×20 in the living room, why not pick clothing that fits in with the decor? Take a look at the ideas below for your next family portrait session. Red, white and blue are a classic combination you can’t go wrong with. Mixing stripes, plaid, patterns is OK! Aren’t those little tights to die for!? They add a really fun whimsical touch to the “family” outfit. Check out the links below for where to buy.

God I love this family! Check out baby C’s 3 month old baby portraits. Such an adorable addition to an already adorable family. Older brother J was along for the photo ride so we got some cute Christmas portraits as well. Mom came prepared with reindeer hats (J wasn’t a huge fan!), Christmas pajamas and a train set!

Seeing as though it’s the week of Christmas I’ve been posting a lot of the Christmas themed sessions I’ve had this year. Next up is gorgeous baby boy L. We did some non holiday portraits as well during his photo session this fall. This baby boy’s lashes won’t quit! Add in a bunny that he can’t live without and you have a heart-melting situation. Capital A -dorable.

Both big brother K and little sister B have been featured on the blog before. Most recently for baby girl B’s newborn portraits. K has the most charming smile and thankfully, was more than willing to share it with me on this day. Baby girl B is 2 months in these shots and wow(!) what a difference 2 months makes. Enjoy!

I don’t know what it is, but I love a shot of baby yawning! (Even though I inevitable yawn after looking at it .. wait for it .. yup. Yawn.)

Christmas is shockingly near. Let these two little gorgeous girls help put you in the Christmas spirit! This pair of sisters had matching dresses, tights and smiles. These siblings were extremely loving toward each other, it was really nice to see. Scroll to the bottom to see the Christmas Storyboard their mama ordered up. What a fabulous idea! Happy Christmas week! That’s right, Christmas is a mere six days away. I personally think there is no better way to kick off the week than by taking a peek at these photos. Thanks to everyone who voted in the Thank You 2011 photo of the year contest. And a big, fat, gigantic hug of a THANK YOU to all my 2011 clients for such an amazing year.

The votes have been combed through, analyzed and tallied. Let me just say this: umm … wow. There were a jaw dropping 555 votes! That basically killed last year’s number (229). This year, a client with multiple sessions got an extra 3 votes for every extra session. This caused the 3rd and 4th winners to TIE! Competition was stiff so congratulations to all 4 big prize winners and to the 3 random drawing winners of the 8×10′s!
