Do you have piles of bottle caps waiting to be recycled? In our previous post, we added magnets and made bottle caps magnets, How about adding alphabet stickers inside the bottle caps for making words and spelling fun!





Materials  Used:

Bottle Lids
Adhesive Button Magnets/Magnetic tape (I bought them from Walmart. You can also use non adhesive circle magnets and Hot glue them)

Fuzzy sticks tinker to our creativity - We made a bouquet of flowers! Actually I had procrastinated the post, we made the flowers for last year Mother&#39;s day. Pipe cleaners come in beautiful colors and we can make a rainbow of flowers.

I store them, they are easy to find and fun to play with. Magnetic stuffs are our all time favorite and this time we created Magnetic bottle lids.
Magnetic bottle lids are perfect to create/recreate collages on a cookie tin lid/ Cookie tray. We also played fishing game with bottle cap magnets.

This time we drew flowers using dots.


Step 1: Place dots as shown, 3 dots in a vertical line and place 2 interlacing dots on the either side of the vertical line


Step 2: Draw a circle on the middle dot for the middle of the flower.


Step 3: Draw Petals for the flower by connecting the dots as shown

Why are u playing with Tissue box? It&#39;s not Tissue box! They are Puppets! 



Tissue boxes are our favorite recycling material. We love playing around with them. This time we created Pig and Wolf hand puppets using Tissue boxes. We used kid friendly Origami folds to create the pig and wolf face.   

We are also participating in the 3rd Tissue box challenge hosted by Jdaniel4&#39;s Mom.

We love doing crafts and Art from Recycling materials. When I craft with my daughter I prefer not to spend much on the craft and go for inexpensive crafts. The advantage of involving kids in recycling is that they become more responsible and creative in using the resources. Three years ago, I made a nativity scene from glue stick nativity figures and Juice carton stable. We treasure them and every year during Christmas, CJ loves to create the nativity scene. This time when we got it out, we found that the baby Jesus doll was missing. So we decided to create Baby Jesus and painted Mother Mary and St. Joseph dolls.

We reuse/upcycle Styrofoam egg carton as stamps. CJ loves the pattern it makes and we had used egg carton stamps for painting the life cycle of Butterfly. This time we made Christmas tree art using egg carton cutouts as stamps.

When I was a child in my place more emphasis was on the crib scene, the real reason for Christmas and very few people used to have Christmas tree. But now the trend has changed there too so many Christmas tree in shops and everywhere. I still remember how we used to sow the mustard seeds in the mud and waited for the seeds to sprout. As I wrote in my previous post of&amp;nbsp;simple paper Jack-O-Lantern we have not carved pumpkins in our life time. We go for no-carve version. From the start of Halloween season, CJ has been asking to carve and finally we made it. Yay!
