This blanket has been about a year and a half in the making. I bought the Houndstooth pattern from V and Co in October 2011 (on a side note, V and Co has a bunch of new patterns and they are all awesome!!). For Halloween last year, Hero wanted to be a Power Ranger. I borrowed that costume from my mom&#39;s old stash. Easy!

One of the fun things about buying a home was getting to create a boy room and a girl room. While there is still decorating to do in both, the two kid rooms were a priority for me to paint before we moved in. And they are still the only rooms I&#39;ve painted so far.

Happy (late) Easter! It was a great Easter for us, filled with candy, church and family. I love all the fun that comes with holidays, but Christmas and Easter are my favorites because of the spiritual events they celebrate.

When we moved to our new home, I asked Hero what color he wanted his room and he didn&#39;t even hesitate to say, &quot;Green. Dark green.&quot; After some persuading I got him to get excited to about these stripes. We both won with him getting dark green, and me getting to do stripes!

My little Pretty turned 2 a couple weeks ago! I can&#39;t believe it, but then don&#39;t we moms say that about every birthday our kids have?

Last October, my husband and I bought our first house! We packed and moved with the help of awesome friends and family.

If you follow me on FB or on Twitter, you know that my husband and I just bought a house and moved! It was a busy week, with us getting keys on Friday, and a week later on Saturday, moving. See this book? It&#39;s rockin&#39; awesome. I found Closet Monsters by John Murphy by chance when looking through the craft books at the library. I borrowed it and just loved looking through it. I made plans to make something from it, so I renewed it the allowed 3 times before taking it back without making anything.





And then I did that 2 more times. It&#39;s been a long time coming, since the shower was about a month ago, but here&#39;s the final decoration. Sorry it took so long to upload! I followed this tutorial to make it, with a few of my own twists.



I&#39;ll be honest, when I first saw these wreaths popping up about a year ago, I didn&#39;t like them. The only reason I decided to make one is because of the library theme... but I love it!!

My sweet little Pretty has two sleep items, the bunny and the blanket.
