Wittlebee is a monthly subscription service for kids clothing. The cool thing about Wittlebee is that they create custom boxes for their subscribers based on their kiddo’s age, color choices, geographic location and more. Yes, you heard me right, it’s not a set box of stuff that I may or may not like every month! It’s still a surprise, but it’s the kind of surprise that I can have expectations and set limitations – the control freak in me loves that. I happened to catch a deal on wittlebee for half price, which was $20 (normally, subscriptions are $39.99/month). Since wittlebee includes eight clothing items in a monthly subscription box, the half price deal meant that I wasn’t paying more than $2.50 per piece of clothing. I figured that was definitely worth it to review wittlebee to see if it would work for us, and I’m pretty happy I gave it a shot! I signed up on May 30th, filled out a style profile for my kidlets, and the box was on my doorstep on June 9th (ummm, wow, fast!) First off, you can only fill out one style profile per subscription. We luck out in that regard that both our kidlets are tots wearing 2Ts and 3Ts – so EMZR wears the bigger 2Ts and ACER wears the smaller ones. They both seem to like a lot of the same clothes, and let’s face, I have my preferences, too. Wittlebee has said on their Facebook page that they are working on allowing families to subscribe to multiple boxes or create multiple style profiles so that two (or more!) kiddos can be accomodated instead of just one. The first thing wittlebee wants to know is how old your kiddo is, their gender, and what size they wear: easy enough. Then you get to pick a style; when I filled out our style profile, these were the options: Princess, Hipster, Diva, Geek Girl, or Mix & Match. (We chose the Hipster profile, in case you like what you see!) After that, you let them know if you have graphic preferences (like polka dots or flowers), color preferences (we chose pink and yellow), what clothing types you need (shirts, dresses, shorts, etc.), and what kind of climate the clothes need to be suitable for. I think they really have all their bases covered here, all the doubts I had about what could possibly be in the box and what if they wouldn’t work for us, had fizzled by the time I finished our style profile. Last but not least, you get to either have a stylist personally call you (!) or leave a note on your subscription for the stylist picking your box. Want to make sure you don’t get any t-shirts? Ta-da. Want to make sure you get a pair of shorts this time around? Consider it done. Pretty refreshing! Then you wait. And wait. (But not forever, because a week is a pretty fast turnaround for a custom little box of clothes!) EMZR was super excited to get a package in the mail, and was even more excited to see the contents. We received a Small Paul brown t-shirt (which I can see many moms getting upset about with its boy-ish style, but we like it!), two dresses (one with pink polka dots, and another with yellow polka dots and a daisy detail on the collar), two pairs of leggings, a pair of stripe shorts, and a really cute blue, brown, and pink floral smock tank. For $20, we got a steal of a deal. We’ll definitely be getting another box soon. I can see eight pieces of clothing being too many new clothes for one kiddo, but we have two girls in the same size, so they can share. Will we stay subscribed every month? Probably not, we definitely don’t need new clothes for the kidlets that frequently. But I can totally see myself subscribing as the seasons change to help us fill out their wardrobe, even at full price, the box is a great deal. Wittlebee has also offered a $10 off customer referral program, which means you can get your first box for $29.99 instead of full price – still making the clothes cheaper than buying new individual pieces from Target or Carter’s, etc. Just click here and check it out to get your $10 off!
