I would personally love to receive this from my kiddos and would love to know what they would write down for their answers. As we all know, each kid is unique and kids say and think hilarious things sometimes. I could only imagine what my kids would write down for how old they think I am!

This Mother’s Day Printable PDF would also be perfect for a preschool class to work on at school at take home to surprise their mom! I know I would have loved to find this in my child’s backpack after school.

This Glitter Bomb Slime turned out looking so pretty. It would be a fun activity to do at a girl’s princess birthday party, or in other colors for a boy’s slime themed birthday party. Kids love making slime!

Glitter Bomb Slime Ingredients:

• 1 airtight container
• 1 5 oz bottle of clear glue
• ½ cup water
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tbsp contact solution
• Glitter – chunky glitter (we used the ones from the set here).
• Fine Pink Glitter
• Fine Iridescent Glitter
• Fine Blue Glitter
• Fine Green Glitter
• Iridescent Basket filler grass
• Scissors
• Small bowl

*Note: You can use the glitter mentioned above, or any combination of glitter you already have on hand. It’s fun to see what color it turns out to be!

Glitter Bomb Slime Instructions:

1. In a bowl, pour the entire 5 oz bottle of clear glue.  
2. Add in ½ cup of water.
3. Add in ½ tsp baking soda and stir.
4. Add in the glitter.  Don’t be afraid to add a bunch! We piled on a mix of fine glitters and chunky glitters.
5. Cut iridescent basket fillers to small pieces.  These really gave our slime a fun texture!
6. Add 1 tbsp contact solution.  It will instantly begin to form.
7. It will be STICKY!  Don’t panic! Mix the solution in the bowl until it starts to form.
8. Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.  
9. Store in an airtight container.

I know most parents are always looking for ways to make their children’s food healthier and this deceptively healthy version of donuts definitely meets that criteria. You can top them with just about anything you think your kiddo might like. Some ideas off the top of my head would be; almond or peanut butter icing, chocolate chips, raisins, chopped nuts, chia seeds and more!

Apple Slice Donuts Ingredients:

• 3 Apples
• 1 8 oz tub whipped cream cheese
• 1 jar nutella
• Food coloring
• Sprinkles
• Chef’s Knife
• Cutting Board

Apple Slice Donuts Directions:

1. Cut apples into slices.
2. In the middle, cut a circle around the core, making the apple slices donut shaped.  (If you have a small biscuit cutter or circle cookie cutter that would work! Otherwise, just use a knife.)
3. Mix 3 tbsp of cream cheese and 3 drops of food coloring per color that you want your ‘icing’ to be. (For chocolate doughnuts, use Nutella!)
4. Spread the colored cream cheese or nutella on apple slices.
5. Add sprinkles on top.
6. Serve and enjoy your healthy version of donuts (or doughnuts)! :)

Even the pickiest of eaters (aka my toddler!), will be very interested in trying these colorful Apple Slice Donuts. They will think they are getting a special treat, and you will have peace of mind knowing that it is healthy for them.

• Pistachio Shells (with pistachio nut removed and cleaned)
• Green and Black Markers (or paint)

Pistachio Shells Turtle Craft Instructions:

1. Grab some pistachio shells (after you’ve enjoyed some for a snack and cleaned them).

2. Color the whole pistachio green using a marker or paint. Then draw the lines and cute turtle face using a black marker.

Chalkboard Rice Krispie Treats Ingredients:

6 TBSP Butter, Unsalted

16 oz Miniature Marshmallows, Divided

1 TSP Vanilla Extract

6 cups Rice Krispies Cereal

Black Candy Melts

Brown Candy Melts

White Candy Melts

Parchment Paper

Pastry Bags (Or Ziploc bags)

Chalkboard Rice Krispie Treats Instructions:

1. Line an 8×8 or 9×9 pan with parchment paper.  Set aside.
2. In a saucepan, melt the butter. Add the miniature marshmallows, all except 1 cup.  Stir until the marshmallows are melted.  Add 1 tsp vanilla and mix.
3. In a large bowl, pour the melted marshmallows over 6 cups of Rice Krispies.  Mix together. Stir in the last cup of marshmallows and mix together.
4. Press lightly into the pan.  Let sit for about an hour to fully set.  
5. Spread out a piece of parchment paper to work on.  Cut the rice krispie treats into squares.
6. In a small bowl, melt the black candy melts according to the package instructions.  Dip each square into the bowl.  Use a spoon if necessary to smooth out the candy melts.  Let set for a few minutes until hardened.  
7. Next, melt the brown candy melts according to package instructions.  Transfer to the melts to a pastry bag or a ziploc baggie. You will want a fine tip (or a very small hole cut in the corner of the bag).  Pipe the brown around the edges to frame your chalkboard. Allow to set until hardened.
8. Finally, melt the white candy melts according to package instructions.  Transfer also into a pastry bag or ziploc baggie. This will need an extra fine tip or a super small hole cut in the corner of the ziploc baggie.  
9. Use the bag to pipe letters, numbers or a back to school message on the chalkboard.  You can even write names or graduation years! Finish with making a piece of chalk resting on the chalkboard frame.  
10. Allow to set for a few minutes and enjoy!

*Tip: If you have extra melts that you want to use, make small ‘blobs’ on parchment paper and allow them to harden.  Once hardened, they will pick right up and you can store in an airtight container or baggie. Then, when you need them again, just remelt!

Most of these supplies you probably already have around the house if you have school aged kiddos. Even if you don’t  have kids old enough to be in school, the odds are if your toddler is anything like mine, there are broken crayons somewhere. :)

School Supply Slime Ingredients Needed:

• 1 airtight container
• 1 5 oz bottle of clear glue
• ½ cup water
• ½ tsp baking soda
• 1 tbsp contact solution
• Crayons
• Pencil erasers
• Paper clips
• Small bowl

School Supply Slime Instructions: 

1. (With an adult) Cut crayons in small pieces leaving the paper on. (If you don’t already have broken crayons on hand). Set aside. 
2. In a bowl, pour the entire 5 oz bottle of clear glue.  
3. Add in ½ cup of water.
4. Add in ½ tsp baking soda and stir.
5. Add in the crayons, paper clips and pencil erasers.  
6. Add 1 tbsp contact solution.  It will instantly begin to form.
7. It will be STICKY!  Don’t panic! Mix the solution in the bowl until it starts to form.
8. Knead the slime until it is no longer sticky.  
9. Store in an airtight container.
