Now it may sound like a lot of work but I will share a quick tip with you that will make things a lot easier for you.

You can start by writing a script for a Youtube video and then you can use that script as the basis for a blog post.

Then of course you would shoot a video using the script and then post the video to YouTube and then embed the video into your blog post that you just created on your blog which will help increase the time people spend on your site.

Of course you will have to do some basic market research to gauge the amount of potential customers for your niche market. But once you are ready to launch your course you don’t even need a web development team.

You can either have them download the digital product or use a secure members area as I mentioned before like Thinkific or Teachable to deliver your online course.

Digital training courses are a great business model because you only have to create the content once but you can sell it over and over again to your prospective clients.

And the profit margins for a digital product based businesses tend to be rather high and the fact the online learning community is growing larger and larger everyday is a bonus!

The fourth model is software as a service also known as SAAS and it probably is the most time consuming up front and requires the most investment to get started.

And you don’t have to be a software developer to get started. You can always outsource your software ideas on a site like Fivver or Up Work.

But with a software as a service based business you have the added ability to charge monthly and a lot of people continue to pay monthly for years.

Adobe for example charges monthly for all of their products.

Another example would be an email marketing service like Convert Kit that companies use to send out emails to their prospects and customers.

If you have a choice, always focus on creating a monthly recurring subscriptions service over a one time software sale. The first sales is always the easiest to make.

Just make sure you provide excellent customer service. As long as your customer is happy with your service and they continue to use it you will have a lucrative business for many years to come.

If you follow what I am about to reveal to you, step by step you will save yourself tons of time and be on the fast track to making money online.

The first thing you have to be aware of when it comes to making money on the internet is that there are a million and one distractions. If you are going to succeed and make money you will need to tune out all distractions and focus on one method.

Jumping from one thing to another will be your biggest downfall. Everywhere you look people will be telling you to start a Youtube Channel or to start doing TikTok videos.

Video marketing has a place and I will get to that in just a moment.

1: Earn Money Online With Affiliate Marketing.

Let’s first start with the easiest way to earn money online and that is with affiliate marketing. If you are new to internet marketing you may not be familiar with this particular business model.

So let me quickly explain to you just how it works.

As an affiliate marketer all you have to do is refer people to someone else’s products and companies pay you a commission. A good example is the Amazon Associate program where you will receive a commission if someone clicks on your affiliate link and makes a purchase.

A lot of people use the Amazon Associate program to make some extra money but I do not suggest you start trying to earn money online with their affiliate program. The main reason is the commissions are far too low and there is too much competition.

Affiliate marketing is a six billion dollar a year online business and it is growing every single year in my opinion it is one of the best ways to earn passive income online.

So that is why I’ve listed as the number one method.

Before you join an affiliate program you need to first chose a niche market to focus on. For example the top three markets where people spend money online are health and fitness, relationships and how to make money.

Out of those three niche markets the most profitable is the health and fitness niche which also includes weight loss as well. Everyone wants to look better and feel healthy and this is a hot niche for you to be in.

If you do your market research, you will discover that the health and fitness market is a multi billion dollar a year industry and growing. And with most affiliate programs that you join, it is pretty easy to start promoting other people products for some extra cash.

Of course you just can’t post your affiliate link anywhere, you will first have to attract targeted prospects that are interested in the product you will be promoting.

If you are looking for how to make money online for beginners, then seriously consider affiliate marketing as your starting point.

2: Start A Blog To Help You Make More Money.

There are a number of ways for you to attract targeted prospects but some methods will require more effort than others. You don’t need your own website but you will be a lot more successful if you have one.

Before we get to that, let us first discuss some different methods for driving traffic online.

You have paid advertising like Google or Facebook ads, or you have free traffic methods like blogging, Youtube and TikTok. As well as Facebook posts and Instagram.

If you want to create passive income online the best way is to create free content that can be picked up by the search engines. Setting up a blog on your own website should be your first step.

You can find fast reliable WordPress hosting for less than $30 a month. I use and recommend Kinsta to host my blog for it’s speed, reliability and it also has excellent customer service.

With a blog your posts can be indexed by the search engines and you can capitalize on buyers search intent.

3: Start A Youtube Channel In The Same Niche As Your Blog.

Here’s why it is important to start a Youtube Channel, the main reason is because it is the second largest search engine next to Google.

Which will help you rank for search intent when people type in their searches in Google or on Youtube. People searching for a solution are more likely to make a purchase online.

You can also earn money with Youtube’s monetization program after you reach 1000 subscribers and 4000 hours of watch time.

Although 4000 hours sounds like a lot it can happen pretty quickly if one of your videos starts getting traction.

You can also post affiliate links in your video description and mention them in your videos. I have made money online using this method and it definitely works and it only takes a few hours.

4: Create A TikTok Account.

TikTok is also a good source of traffic but it is not based on search intent like Youtube or Google, so a different approach is required to generate traffic.

But after you get one thousand followers on TikTok you can post a link to your website to build your email list. You can learn more about email list building in another post.

That is why I suggest starting with your own blog first because it make it easier to build your online business when you do things right from the start.

Your blog should be your main hub where you send traffic from your other social media accounts to build your email list.

You can also make money with the TikTok creator fund but you will first have to gain 10,000 followers and 100,000 views of your videos before you can apply for it.

5: Freelance Writer For Authority Sites.

If you enjoy writing there are quite a few large blogs also known as authority sites that often higher freelance writers to create content for them.

All you have to do is choose a niche that you have an interest in and contact some well known sites in your niche market, to see if they are looking for any content writers. Freelance writing is a great way to make more money on a part time or full time basis.

Besides earning money for your article writing you can usually post a link back to your main blog in your author’s bio section which will give a boost to your blogs SEO.

I have written for several different brands in different niche markets and it is a great way to make money online and it will also boost your authority at the same time.

6: Video Editing As A Service.

If you are good at video editing there are tons of content creators that would love to outsource that part of the creation process. Once people begin to grow their online following the first thing they often outsource is editing.

There are tons of free tutorials on Youtube that you can watch to perfect your editing skills and then you can approach popular creators and ask if you can edit their videos for them.

The best thing is like the other methods we have talked about, you can use your existing skills to earn money online working from home or from anywhere in the world.

It isn’t exactly passive income but it is a legit way of earning money online remotely and there is a demand for it.

Similar to the last example you can also edit audio for podcasters. Like video creators people with podcasts would rather focus on content creation and outsource their audio editing.

As with video editing there are lots of tutorials on Youtube that you can watch to become a pretty skilled audio editor in a short amount of time.

If you enjoy working with audio then this is another avenue you could explore. There are tons of podcasts in just about every niche, so it should be pretty easy for you to reach out to a few creators.

Just create a short paragraph highlighting your skills and reach out to a bunch of different podcasters. Make sure you charge enough to make it worth your while.

8: Virtual Assistant.

There are any number of online businesses that require the help of a virtual assistant to carry out various task from home. All you need is a computer and internet connection and you are on your way.

Some of the tasks you can carry out are to follow up on emails or customer support requests. You can also trouble shoot and help to solve user technical issues via the phone or online chat and it is a great way to earn some extra cash from home.

The best part is you can be a virtual assistant from anywhere in the world for large companies or for a small business.

Copy writing is a specialized skill that people are willing to pay a lot of money for, if you are a good writer with a proven sales track record.

I know some copy writers who charge $10,000 or more per sales letter that they can write in less than a week. It can be a very lucrative way to earn a six or seven figure income online.

You can study copy writing by reading books or taking online courses. There is also copy writing membership sites which teaches you the different aspects of being a copy writer.

Most online entrepreneurs are focused on product creation and growing their brands and they are willing to outsource almost every other tasks that takes their focus away from running the day to day business.

You can create a one time online course or you can create sever online courses and house them in a membership site and charge monthly for access. You can use Thinkific or Teachable to deliver your membership content.

Or you can create a membership site using WordPress and a membership plugin to secure your WordPress pages.

It is referred to as a walled garden where people who pay you monthly get a login code to access your paid content.

Membership sites are a great way to earn passive income online and it is something you should consider if you are thinking of creating an online course.

You can start your own online store using Shopify. Selling physical products has a different set of issues and skill sets compared to selling just digital products but it can be quite profitable.

I know people that sell custom clothing and photo prints on Shopify but you can pretty much sell anything you can think of.

Pet related business are growing in popularity lately and that is just one niche to think of.

Now this one may sound a little scary if you don’t know anything about software development. But I really believe it is a great opportunity for making money online.

All you need is an idea for software as a monthly service and from there you can hire a developer on a site like Up Work to create the software for you.

A relatively new example of software as a service that is growing in popularity is Surfer SEO which I am actually using to help me write this article.

22: Search Engine Optimization Expert.

As with many specific skills sets you can also learn SEO or search engine optimization for free from online courses or from Youtube tutorials.

You can be an expert with Google Search or for Youtube search and your goal would be to help businesses rank higher.

If you like to geek out about technical things then this may be a good way to make some fast cash online.

And it sure beats data entry or test websites which you will see others recommend. Avoid those methods as well you should avoid the urge to sell stock photos.

23: Online Sales Representative.

When the pandemic hit a lot of jobs moved online and many companies now do outbound sales calls via zoom. If you like interacting with people and are comfortable selling.

Being an online sales representative can be a potentially lucrative way to earn good money in a short amount of time.

Many companies have a training program and a proven sales script for these types of sales calls.

Starting a Youtube Channel currently over 2.29 billion people watch videos on Youtube.

I have several Youtube channels in different niche markets and the great thing about it is, Youtube pays you a recurring income month after month for videos you shot one time.

Which is an awesome way to make more money.

I am still making money from videos I shot years ago, I know some people don’t want to show their face on Youtube or Social Media and there are tons of Youtube channels that just use a voice over and b-roll footage.

If you don’t know what B-roll is it is just various video clips that support the narration and the cool thing is you don’t have to create the b-roll clips yourself.

I use a site called Story Blocks to find 4K B-roll for my videos and it allows you to throw together a pretty cool video in a short amount of time.

If you don’t know how to edit videos you can always hire a video editor on Up Work or Fivver so if you think about it.

You can start a Youtube channel, without appearing on camera and without knowing how to shoot or edit videos yourself. All you have to do is pick a niche market and record voice overs.

Having your own Youtube channel is also a fantastic way to attract targeted traffic and which will allow you to promote affiliate products or your own digital information products which brings us to number three.

Passive Income Stream #3 Online Education.

The worldwide e-learning market is projected to be worth $324.5 Billion in 2025

You can easily create and sell your own digital information products. I believe everyone has at least one online course in them to share.

I have sold e-books, online video training courses and I have also run monthly membership sites in different niche markets, that pay me a recurring income.

There are hundreds of different niche markets that you could potentially be selling your own digital information products in.

I’ve sold a digital video training course in the Photography niche.

Now I also suggest you have an upsell to your front end product.

That could be another higher priced course or it could be a monthly membership site with an additional high ticket coaching program or mastermind.

Now you may be thinking you don’t know what type of products to create or what market to get into.

It could be related to any topic or hobby that you are interested in that has a large potential customer base online.

I generally suggest sticking to larger online markets and then picking a smaller niche market with in the larger market.

For example in the Health market you could focus on anti aging for men or women over 50.

Just pick a topic that interests you and begin learning as much as you can about it, before you know it, you will become, the go to subject matter expert on the topic.

When it comes to selling your own digital information products, I suggest you stay away from platforms like Amazon or Udemy because you will want to have several upsells after you sell your initial front end product.

And those sites do not allow you to have upsells and you also can’t add your customers to your own email marketing list which is a major downside.

• There are 4 billion daily email users. And this number is expected to climb to 4.6 billion by 2025. (Statista, 2021)

Some example of digital information that you can sell online are e-books, video training courses and even audio recordings or monthly membership sites that pay you recurring revenue month after month.

You really should be selling digital products. Now it is easier to create an online course using platforms like Teachable or Thinkific. And you can also charge monthly for your trainings as well.

It is called a subscription model, examples of a subscription service would be Apple Music or Spotify…But you can also charge monthly for online training courses or software as well.

There are tons of information based monthly membership sites in all different niche markets where people pay to access your monthly training or to have access to you if they have a question.

Great Way To Generate Revenue.

I have sold e-books, online video training courses and I have also run several monthly membership sites over the years. And they are all great online revenue streams.

Creating digital information products was the 2nd income stream and online business model that I started back in 2008.

It can be a very lucrative business, especially if you recruit and army of affiliates to help you promote your products for you.

You don’t even have to do the actual video or audio editing yourself. Think of yourself as a sub-contractor.

You can find video editors or audio editors on sites like Up Work or Fivver and then you would outsource the work to them making sure you charge enough up front to your client to make 30% or 50% profit and you just act as a middle man between the client and the editor.

You could also do this as a Social Media Manger managing social media sites for any number of businesses and by outsourcing the work to other people that would allow you to grow and scale and put your focus on attracting more clients.

There are any number of online tasks that you could outsource that people find too, time consuming or that don’t have the know how or interest to do themselves.

Now the fourth online business idea that can be quite a lucrative business and better than a lot of other online business ideas.

Because it usually involves a monthly recurring cost to your customer is software as a service. 

Now that great part about software is it usually involves a subscription model which means you make monthly recurring revenue and you don’t have to know anything about programming.

Which reminds me of a great quote from Dr. Wayne Dyer it goes: Change Your Thoughts and Change Your Life. Think about that for a moment, changing your thoughts could make a huge difference.

Two new habits I have incorporate after reading the book is 20 minutes on the elliptical first thing in the morning and 20 minutes of meditation before I even look at my phone.

Those two new habits have had a huge impact on my day, which is quite surprising. So you don’t have to make huge changes all at once.

Start with one new habit and you can begin habit stacking from there.
