Kelley Donovan is offering a six week workshop, with classes every Tuesday, beginning June 5th, 2012. The Technique Class (7:30-8:30) is for dancers with a little experience and incorporates ideas from Limon, Cunningham, and release techniques. The class will move through a warm up that builds strength and clarifies alignment principals followed by fluid phrases with an emphasis on performance quality, focus, and presence. The Performance Workshop (8:30-9:30) will focus on a collaboratively created work of choreography over the six weeks. Each class costs $95 for the whole session. This will be a group showing most likely so each artist will have between 5-10 pieces show during this showing.

I am in the process of creating a serialized novel that I intend to blog. I'm almost 100 pages into the book, as I write this.
What I am looking for is an artist to illustrate the blog. It would take a few initial drawings or watercolors and then a couple each week to illustrate the particular chapter.

Basically, through words and art, I want people to salivate for the south of France. The reader should desperately wish they were living at the Chateau with my eccentric cast of characters and the artwork should further whet their appetite.

The tale concerns full of wine and goings-on in Provence.

The type of model I am looking for is.... Attractive MALE 18 - 35ish years of age, in good shape, but not necessarily a gym type of body. Youthful, masculine and jock type of look is a plus. I also like to photograph more bear-ish kinds of men who are burly and hairy. Ideally you should be 5'6" or taller, 130 pounds or more, handsome or cute face, good personality is a plus as that can come across nicely in images. I like my nude photographs to be portraitures of my subjects as well as displaying the beauty of the male body. NOTE: Your face will be shown in these images. Please do not respond to this ad if you want headless photographs.

The shoot will be of an artistic nature at my studio in the South End. There is NO physical contact between myself and my models. This is a totally professional, discreet and safe shoot. On June 2, 2012, from 11am-4pm, Lincoln --Eliot Elementary school (tax id # 20-1997895) in Newton (190 Pearl Street) will be holding a spring fair to raise money for our PTO. We are hoping to sponsor more arts exposure for our students (such as important speakers, musical and theatrical performances and field trips). We have an incredibly diverse, culturally-rich community--about 24 languages are spoken at our school--but that also means that over 34% of our student population are English Language Learners, and 31% are low income families. And so unlike other Newton schools, we need to look outside our immediate community for donations to programs that our students desperately need.

We are hoping to attract at least 300 people from the local Newton/Watertown community to the fair--and in addition to food, carnival games and music, we'd like to have a section of artists selling "affordable" arts and crafts. Table rentals are a flat (tax deductible!) $25.

Calling all want-to-be artists and professionals in the Beacon Hill neighborhood and Boston area. Artists affiliated with the Expressive Art Institute are hosting a series of summer workshops.
