Looking for Drummer for Post-Hardcore/Metalcore band (NW Houston)

We are a complete band minus a drummer, we are just now starting to record and need someone interested in stuff like August Burns Red, Adestria, (Woe, is me), As I Lay Dying, The Devil Wears Prada, Protest The Hero, Sky Eats Airplane, For Today, Motionless In White, Everyone Dies In Utah, Adept, Asking Alexandria, Attack, Attack, Secrets, The Air I Breathe, Memphis May Fire.

We have 2 guitarists, a vocalist, and a bassist. We use guitar pro and have some material already recorded we can show you. We have a place to record at. We all live around the Jersey Village area, and have been friends for a long time.
Please be able to play with a click track and have an open mind as we are trying to perfect our direction in sound. Looking for a post-hardcore/metalcore sound with the progressive freeform method of Protest The Hero (limited repetition with lots of change-ups throughout the song)

Our preferred bandmate would be available to meet up on evenings and have some experience playing in a previous band or at least have a serious ambition to become awesome and play in an awesome band.

We still haven't come up with a name so as of now we are an unnamed band. We are all between 21 and 24 and have played shows in seperate band before!

The Thursday Night Blues Jam @ The 19th Hole (Woodlands)

This is one of the longest running jams in, or outside of Houston. A tradition that was carried on for nearly 15 years by the late, great Dan Workman - Since his passing, the Thursday Night Blues Jam has struggled a bit to find its way, even though some great talent has stepped in to fill the very large shoes. The Hates, "Houston's first and last true punk band," are looking for a permanent drummer. We require someone who is a responsible, dependable, focused, determined and dedicated individual. Understanding the concept of time is essential, and not just with the music (i.e. the clock!) You must have your own kit and have the means to transport it to shows (keeping at the studio is cool.) We expect one to make it to practice and shows on time with all their gear, head in the game and ready to rock. This may sound demanding or even extremely anal but we've already been dealing with a string of drama, excuses and disappointments. To be fair though, ask yourself, wouldn't you expect the same? Shouldn't you expect the same? We have over 30 years of music and still writing more so we are serious about how its played but we never lose focus that it is all supposed to be fun too. That said, you should probably like our tunes, too LOL! Age, gender, race etc is not important as long as you can fulfil these requirements. We're not looking for a "Rock Star," just someone who wants to be a permanent and reliable team player. First off, and please forgive me for being frank, but I'm tired of dealing with musicians who don't give a $h!t at all.
I've been there, done that, got the T-shirt and gave it away...but sadly, that's how most of them are.
However, I know there are some good apples in the bunch, and I hope to reach those people with this ad.
I'm a serious, sober, and focused musician with a professional attitude, solid equipment, and reliable transportation.
I know those are rare qualities when dealing with most musicians, but that's what I'm looking for in the people I play with.
I also have a day job so I'm not looking to make a living from playing music,
but I still want to enjoy it at the same time feeling that sense of comraderie with my fellow bandmates
and receiving a reasonable compensation.

I'm looking for a band paying at least $120/person with regular paying gigs on the calendar.
(For serious musicians that have it down, this is not an unreasonable request.)
I'm looking to play locally on the weekends 2-6 times a month.

I'm a bass player looking to join a few types of projects that are already working:
- a general rock cover band that covers classic rock, 80s, and 90s.
- a Beatles tribute/cover band
I also wouldn't mind exclusively an 80s band or a 90s band.
No start-up bands, please.

I'm 35, been playing for 27 years, and I have 17 years live experience.
Since 1995, I've been in different cover bands, a handful of tribute bands, and a few original bands.
I already know many covers from the genres mentioned above. I can learn extremely fast by sight and sound,
I can read music and tab, and I also know the number system.
I put 110% into music; I do my homework, and make sure I have my part down.
I learn/play songs the way they go because that's what people will be expecting to hear.
I do not subscribe to the thought of "putting your own spin to it."
I'm very dedicated and I put forth great effort to learn the material.
Not to sound conceited, but I can have an entire night of 40 songs prepared solid in a week and ready to rock.
I can also sing lead and harmony.
To be perfectly honest, I know my $h!t.

I'd like to hear from you if:

Guitarist Wanted (Greater Houston Area)

I am a bassist/vocalist looking to establish a professional working relationship with a guitarist. I would like to establish a working trio (a blues-centered variety act, at least initially). Additionally, I would like to work up a respectable duo set that is suitable for coffee shop/wine bar/restaurant/acoustic/other venues that are likely to hire during the week. I am interested in playing as much as possible (I personally wouldn't mind playing 7 nights per week, multiple daily gigs when available). I do write a bit, and would like to incorporate original material at some point, as long as a realistic approach is taken (wish for the best, but expect to be limited to selling cd's off the stage to make a few extra bucks).

I have played professionally in the Houston Area for many years. I have played in many blues, rock, and country cover bands. For about 10 years, I primarily played zydeco. I have many interests, and am entirely open to exploring additional avenues. Again, I have "covered" material from many genres, and enjoy many of them. The material I have been prone to sing is largely blues-based (widely-applicable, easy to follow, etcetera). I do some oldies, Americana, classic country, classic rock, etcetera. I do sing some garden-variety covers, but would like the project to evolve beyond that. I would like to leave the ultimate direction of the project open-ended for collaborative purposes.

I have some demo material that has been uploaded to the net. Here are some links. I am not necessarily looking to play this particular material, but, it provides a sense of my playing abilities.

Ideally, you have some vocal abilities, but this isn't absolutely required. Things that are critical here are talent, versatility, professionalism, and dedication.

Further, I am in Galveston. In terms of playing out, this means nothing (I had recently been playing a bunch of gigs in the Woodlands). Location/travel for any needed rehearsal should be considered (nothing is a deal-breaker, though).

Studio Needed for Country Album (NW Houston)

Hi. I am looking to record an album and do it a little non-traditionally. Due to budget constraints I am looking to track out the album at home in my home studio. I am trying to find someone who I can send all the tracks/individual files to and have that person mix the album. Once completed the album will be mastered by a mastering facility.

One of the biggest reasons I want to do it this way is simply because this is a "first album." I cannot pay an outrageous hourly price for studio time because I know that we could never "get it right" with hourly and time/money constraints. I also want to go back and add other instruments that are not in our band, and would require more time and money in a studio. All of the musicians in the band including myself are very esperienced in live shows, but all rookies in the studio. There is something about recording that is intimidating. I was hoping to track out each song at home and provide a multitude of tracks - for instance for lead guitar have a line out track, a miced out amp track, etc. Bass guitar same thing - lined out, miced out amp. In other words I would want to make sure the person I send the tracks to has "plenty to work with" to get it right. I would attempt to record vocals at home too, but the vocals would probably have to be re-recorded at your actual studio simply because vocals always tend to be the "deal breaker" with what makes an album sound studio quality or not. I would want you to mix, eq, autotune, add effects, compression - anything and everything that needs to be done to record a real album. Basically - like anyone, I am looking for the absolute best quality radio/cd quality sound at the absolute lowest price. This is all self-funded.

I am looking for someone to help me along with this and be patient, etc. This project is in the baby stages. If everything goes well you would be included on the album insert, etc. I am looking someone with real COUNTRY music experience, Texas Country, Pop Country, etc.

I would be recording the tracks at home using presonus Studio One and a presonus firestudio interface.

Doghouse Pub. 17500 Kuykendahl Rd., Spring, TX 77379
We usually have about 5 contestants, and every week, one person goes home with $150 in CASH.

we do this every wednesday night, this being our 4th contest.

this is limited to solo and duo acoustic acts.
PA and acoustic guitar provided. there is no entry fee, and the judging is based solely on audience response. bring lots of friends to clap for you!!
please no drumsets. hand drums are fine. keyboards are fine, since nobody is expected to bring out a piano lol.
there is one mic and one guitar. if you want 2 mics, bring a mic, cable, and stand.

you should be able to play for at least 15 minutes. if you only sing, the host may be able to play guitar for you.

The Woodlands Musicians Co-Ops Compound has all kinds of fun things to doâ€¦ we have a Stage with Lighting and Sound, Jam Room with small Recording Studio and all the Instruments one could want. I've been a big fan of Stone Temple Pilots since "Core" in 1992,
and I would thoroughly enjoy playing their music in a tribute band.
I can reproduce the look and the sound; I have a similar bass and 90's-style wardrobe as Robert DeLeo.
I also have a megaphone for the lead singer.

I already know all their hits plus several album cuts and I can also sing the harmonies.

I have past experience in an STP tribute band and I have the commitment and dedication to make it look and sound accurate.

Hopefully, there's an STP tribute that just needs that missing piece of a bass player (or looking for a replacement).
