Today I received a note from a buyer saying that the Cornichello Horn Charm Necklace in my store reminds her of her Italian great aunts. How awesome is that. :D People like her is what keeps the handmade community going. To know that something you've created has a special meaning for someone, is the best feeling an artist can ask for.

And now, moving on to stuff that occupies most of my daydreams. This dreamy, magical, hauntingly beautiful song by french songstress (which is chanteuse, in French. You know, if you're feeling a little parisian today, hah.) Cecile Corbel.
And now, repeat after me : I shall listen to this music video. I shall be mesmerized by its hollow beauty. And I shall listen to it another 20 times more.

Handmade Market - LPSM

This Sunday, I will be at Little Penang Street Market (LPSM) selling some of my creations. LPSM is this little market where the Penang handmade community gathers once a month to display their things. It's not exactly a craft market, but you'll find yummy handmade jams, the occasional french cookie, and also some handcrafted items (like mine!). :-)

If you're in the Penang, why not pop by and say hello? There'll be poetry this month and some jazzy performances too.

Oh, I'll be doing a sale on all my jewelry there too!

I really like the girl's expression in this Stockholm Print and the birdie poster! A collection of etsy favourites made with Picnik, an online image editing tool. By the way, did you know that Picnik is closing down in April? They're letting everyone use the Premium editing tools as a show of appreciation too! Hello everyone, and Happy Chinese New Year!

I took a photo of my shop packaging this morning :

I made my shop's business card by myself on a shoe-string budget. It's a little plain, but I rather like the minimal design. I stamped ivory pre-cut cards with the logo, and then drew brackets around it with a metallic gold paint marker.

The muslin drawstring bag is handmade too, though not by me.

So this is how you will receive your purchase when you buy something from Crane & Fox. :-)
