Though hi5 and facebook both are of same kind but still there is a big different in popularity. Numbers speak for itself and the number of members in Hi5 is no even near to that or Facebook. Facebook probably is the biggest and most popular social networking site. Why is there no hype for hi5? Well, there are several reasons. Some may even prefer hi5 for facebook but then it all depends on whom you ask the question. In some countries HI5 is more popular. Like in Portugal everyone uses Hi5. It has like 90% market share. Anyways if we talk in the whole world, Facebook sure beats the hell out of Hi5. Few of the advantages of facebook over hi5 are as follows:

The first and foremost is facebook is an application (app) platform. Developers built social applications on Facebook Platform that millions of people use everyday. The games, quiz, everything you use or participate in are likely an application. Hi5 lacks this feature. In it you can’t develop your app.
The ads on Hi5 go beyond intrusive. Every other time you refresh a page an ad blocks half the screen, forcing you to close it to see what you want to see. This is not the case with Facebook. There are almost no ads you can seen in your Facebook.
Hi5 is too flashy and also seems to be 'over customizable'. Usually, on a blog or network or whatever, you have set professional looking themes, or it's customizable only by people who know what they're up to, be it CSS or whatever. Hi5 has the unenviable ability to turn a profile into the most hideously monstrous looking page in less than a minute. They're often unreadable. Facebook on the other hand is not customizable. There are ways you can customize it but it can only be done my experts.
Also most of the features of Hi5 were copied from other social networking sites. Many say they don’t have anything original. Even the chat service that has recently been started in Hi5 is copied from Facebook.
Hi5’s system most of the times it doesn't work. E-mail notifications rarely work (like...2 or 3 times a year maybe). Most profile editing or message sending or message deleting pages don't work at the first time. I had to try at least 10 times to be able to delete a message some days ago.

These are just few reasons why people who like facebook comment about not being present in hi5. I’ve yet to hear some serious advantaged of hi5 over facebook except I’ve heard some saying hi5 is very easy to use lol. I know it’s really funny. But again it’s their perception. One can make whatever stupid excused if one doesn’t like anything.

The much awaited iPhone 3G has also been unlocked. The DevTeam has released yellowsn0w, the world's first iPhone 3G unlock. I’ve heard the software is automated and you can easily unlock the iPhone 3G with a fly. You must upgrade to the latest baseband 02.28 though in order to use it. It is possible to use it with the older baseband on firmware 02.27 but the DevTeam has exclusively restricted it to work with the newest baseband. So before trying it, upgrade to firmware 2.2 with the 02.28 baseband.
Thank not to God but to DevTeam that now, people aren’t bound to use AT&T.

Nokia has released N97 out in stores. Well, actually they are available in Europe and Asia only for now but will soon be available worldwide. It’s been a long since Nokia has released a touch-screen mobile phone so I hope it works for Nokia. Anyways, Nokia has stated that it’s the world’s most advanced mobile computer, which will transform the way people connect to the Internet and to each other. With QWERTY keypad, 5 mp camera, touch-screen display, 16:9 widescreen display, DVD quality video capture, continuous playback time of up to 1.5 days, supports of up to 48 GB of storage, including 32 GB of on-board memory, expandable with a 16 GB microSD card for music, media and more and the big price tag of €550 ($695), Nokia released this new flagship on Dec 2,2008. The drawback though pointed out by the experts from Gizmodo is about the resistive touchscreen which were immediately noticeable when dragging widgets around the desktop.

A resistive touchscreen relies on pressing two layers of screen together with a fingernail or stylus to register a signal, so it is not as responsive as a capacitive screen which is driven by the natural electricity in your fingers. - Gizmodo

Anyways, my good luck is with Nokia N97 but it would have worked it the price was a little less around $400.

It’s kind of an old trick but for newbie it might be of interest. So, if you are wondering how you can make Windows XP login automatically without needing to type the username and password here is how you do it.

Click Start -> Run and type “control userpasswords2” without any quotes
Uncheck “Users must enter a username and password to use this computer”
Click Apply.
You’ll be asked to fill a form (username, password, re-type password) for automatic logon. Fill it up and press OK.

Now when you start your computer, you won’t be asked to enter your username and password to logon to your computer. You’ll login automatically. Cheer !!!

Well, it’s a shame that I am saying this without any shame over the internet and that also on my personal blog. The girl I love doesn’t seem to care about me at all. She’s always thinking of someone else who doesn’t seem to care about her (which is good for me). Anyways, I think that’s because of her poor vision. Actually, the doctors had recommended her a prescription glass but she doesn’t wear it because she thinks it doesn’t go with her looks and personality.
Today as I was browsing through the net, I struck upon this site of Zenni Optical where I saw some cool holiday frames (well then looked too stylish to be prescription glasses) and right at the moment it just hit me and I thought …Man!!! I got to have these for my girl. And look how lucky was I? The glasses were stylish but so cheap and Zenni Optical would ship it anywhere in the world. I was shocked at first. How could they sell it for cheap? But that is none of my concern.
My girl looks a little like Korean actresses and her favorite color is pink so I thought I’d give her something pink like the one below.

I am a little late but still it’s better now than never. So, many happy returns of the day to Mozilla Firefox. Actually, the b’day was on 9th Nov but I forgot on that day. Just remembered it today when I went through their official Firefox blog. Else I would have missed it. So, 4 years mommy Mozilla gave birth to Firefox 1.0 which now have grown 3.1 beta. Just for the record, FF is my best browser. I’ve been using it for about 2 or more years now and it’s been a wonderful journey. I hope Firefox will continue to be the best browser in the world. No need for intro as it already got the hype becoming the first mobile to use Google’s OS Android. Previously known as the HTC Dream, T-Mobile G1 is a smartphone designed by High Tech Computer Corporation of Taiwan. It struck the store on October 23 and caused hundreds of people to wait almost 10 hours to get this phone.
G1 is packed with features like 3G support, 3.2 inch LCD with 320x480 resolution, QWERTY keyboard, Qualcomm 528 MHz CPU, exchangeable 1150 mAh Li-Ion battery, 3.1 mp camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The applications are also more than you can ask for (all Google applications and services like Gmail, Google Maps, Google Search, Google Talk, etc) and since Android is an open source OS unlike other mobile operations systems, the apps will be open source too. Anyways right now G1 is available in 3 colors – bronze, black and white. It sure is hoped to be a tough competitor for Apple’s iPhone but let’s see what future will decide. Walking iPhone Robot

There is no limitation to what people are capable of and when those people are the one with small eyes (Japanese hehee) then there is nothing such as impossible. Just take a look at this example. I mean who would have thought what more an iPhone would need. Not me?? I always thought it was a complete phone with all the features anyone would want in a mobile phone but for Kazu Terasaki it was not just enough. He wanted his iPhone to walk and he did so too.

All who don’t know Kazu Terasaki, he is a Japanese software engineer working in the Silicon Valley area. He was involved in a product called PuchiRobo which is another robot kit that enables you to turn anything from a beer can to a tissue box into a walking robot and he has used the same technology to turn an iPhone into a walking robot. The robot is not complete though and need a PC to move but he’s thinking to come up with a chip for that too to make it automatic. I watched the video and the iPhone robot also had cute moving eye balls which again he had created for iPhone.

Google’s PR updated few days ago and I am not even a bit shocked that my PR was still 0. Why??? Because I know Google…I know Google even more that Google itself. Google is taking revenge. When Google was a small kid, I used to kick his ass and now Google won’t increase my PR (tit-for-tat). Anyways, I still don’t care about Google’s PR (well I do but small PR won’t do any good… if it is pr4 or 5 then I’d care khe khe khe). Any other folk not happy with PR update? This site of mine is published through a blogspot account. That means I didn’t require any web space to host this blog. It pretty cool but that was before that I came to know about WordPress which I personally feel is the best blogging platform. But the sad thing is that it provides free hosting for its subdomains only. So, to publish a blog in your own domain in WordPress, you need a hosting. Now that thing is that there are many free hosting providing services which I have tried too. But it was a tragic experience when a free hosting company where I hosted one of my domains got bankrupt. And it was just the beginning. They didn’t had any backup system…oh it was such a nightmare. All my months work was gone in minutes. I had to do everything from scratch.
Still, I had to find a web hosting but which one was the question that scared me. Then I came across few articles on web hosting in Web Hosting Rating. The articles were really an eye opener. Webhostingrating.com also had listed out and rated best web hosting providers based on customer satisfaction, affordability, reliability and dependability, site uptime and downtime, technical support provided, etc. I then choose one of the hosting based on customer satisfaction and I must say my decision wasn’t wrong.
