Best subway performance ever! If you ride the subway in New York City enough you’re bound to hear musicians of all skill levels busking on both the trains and the platforms. Sometimes you get an annoying off-key mariachi band and sometimes you get Gypsy Joe Trane jamming out the Super Mario Bros. Theme Song on guitar on the uptown R train in Manhattan. Check out the video:

Since nobody on the train seems to give him applause, consider this your Internet applause Gypsy Joe. Bravo. Well played, but the real money on the subway is selling M&M’s, not for no basketball team but to raise money and stay off the streets- oh and only having peanut M&M’s right now.

Peavey Marvel Superhero Guitars

Legendary instrument manufacturer Peavey has teamed up with Marvel Comics to create a new line of superhero guitars. Available in comic book favorites like Captain America, Thor, Wolverine, X-Men, Spider-Man, Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk, the Marvel guitar line comes in full size electrics, 3/4 size electrics and half size acoustic guitars.

I don’t know about you, but that Iron Man guitar is just begging to have a certain Black Sabbath song played on it- that’s right, Paranoid 8). Each one has stunning superhero artwork graphics across the body.

That’s pretty bad-ass. The half-sized acoustic guitars even have graphics on the headstock, like this Incredible Hulk one below:

There’s even accessories available like guitar picks and the guitar strap below which has some superheroes not available on the guitars like Punisher and Ghost Rider:

Retail prices range from $139 to $399 for the electric guitars and just $59 for the acoustic. They are available here on Amazon or at your local guitar shop.

Check out these incredible steampunk Daft Punk outfits with light up helmets. This duo was spotted at DragonCon last fall. We have very little other information on them other than the fact that they might go by “Danny and Adam” when not parading around like Victorian spacemen from the past version of today’s future. Well hey, you probably want to see these two cutting some cool-ass dance moves in these cosplay outfits to some sweet Daft Punk tunes, right? Unfortunately, as you can see in this video, their skills don’t extend to dancing and the music they are “dancing” to isn’t DP but Lady Gaga:

Giant Coffee Cup Holds 20 Cups

Who’s thirsty? Get your buzz on with the World’s Largest Coffee Cup, a cup so large it’s required to have “no diving” signs posted on it in some states. That might be a bit of a dubious claim but this porcelain cup does hold a hefty 20 regular cups of coffee. It weighs in a beefy 10 pounds empty and if you fill it up that’s about another 10 pounds worth of coffee. Better use two hands to hold it.

It’s made of porcelain and is probably dishwasher safe, but it also probably won’t fit in your dishwasher either. It’s the perfect accessory for your “I’ll be in to help you just as soon as I finish this cup of coffee” excuse or to complete your Carrot Top impression. The cup will also probably make the world’s largest coffee ring on your coffee table so you’ll need to find the world’s largest coaster to slip under it. Get your own electronic personal pitching coach. The Radar Pitching Trainer measures pitch speed, calling balls and strikes and simulating at bats. The built-in radar displays pitch velocities from 20mph to 99mph and has a nine-quadrant strike zone for calling balls and strikes. It works at baseball, little league and fastpitch softball mound distances. The Trainer simulates both and at-bat and half inning and keeps track of cumulative pitch count, balls, strikes, outs and walks. It’s like having a 35 pound virtual umpire who is always right, runs on D batteries and won’t throw you out of the game for yelling at him.

This doormat is so ridiculous it’s redonkulous. Who would buy a “Like Us to Receive Special Offers…” doormat? A regular “like us” doormat, maybe I could see that for your business or geekhome but this one… not so much. Maybe there’s some humor in it but since our puny brains here at Craziest Gadgets world headquarters are unable to comprehend any comedy that’s not slapstick, we’re just not getting it. Swing Pong is a Moving Ping Pong Table

How can you make ping pong a little more challenging? Make the table move. That’s exactly what Robb Godshaw did with his Swing Pong table. Press one of the arcade style buttons on either side of the table and the whole table tilts from left to right just like you were on a boat. But that’s not all. One of the buttons makes the translucent table top flash a bright light, temporarily blinding your opponent (in theory). The video below demonstrates how it works sort of:

They really could have used a few shots of people actually playing on the table while tilting it. One thing is for certain with the Swing Table- you can’t play beer pong on it. (via gizmodo)

Frabjous Sculpture Puzzle

I like a good puzzle but this one looks pretty out there. The Frabjous Sculpture Puzzle definitely makes an attractive little geometric sculpture when it’s all put together. The problem is putting it together- it has 30 pieces….and they’re all the same:

You probably won’t be shocked to learn that this puzzle was designed by a mathematician from The Museum of Mathematics, named George Hart. It’s certainly a challenging puzzle but when you complete it (instructions are included, thank goodness) the result is definitely rewarding. It measures about 6 inches tall when assembled. Are you up for the challenge, mathlete?
