The Bills, My second team preview for the AFC East.

Team Offense: 24th
Team Defense: 24th
Strength of Schedule (difficult): 2nd
2010 record 4-12

Chan Gailey returns to attempt to remove the Bills from the AFC basement. While I said in my last preview the Dolphins will have that title this year, the Bills won't be far off. My reasoning for this is simple, while there seems to be a decent set of building blocks developing in Buffalo, the firepower just isn't there yet. The loss of defensive leader Paul Posluszny as well as trading Lee Evans for nothing may limit the options on either side of the ball and force some unknowns to step into bigger roles rather quickly.

On offense, The backfield is serviceable and will improve this season, however the surprise connection of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Stevie Johnson will have to star again. I believe this will have a negative effect on the stats of Johnson as teams will begin to game plan against him following his breakthrough season. I like Fitzpatrick as a fantasy sleeper or strong bye week replacement and I would avoid Johnson until desperate. I do have good news for Bills fans, I feel stronger than ever that the Bills are getting better and they may play .500 ball in 2012, but that's probably wishful thinking this year.

Surprise of the season: Shawne Merriman stays healthy

Biggest Disappointment: Stevie Johnson

Offensive MVP: Ryan Fitzpatrick (25 TDs)

Defensive MVP: Jarius Byrd

Record prediction: 6-10

Tyler Record Prediction: 4-12

NFL Team Preview #3

Moving on to the cowboys, this is my second team preview for the NFC.

Team Offense: 7th
Team Defense: 23rd
Strength of Schedule (difficult): 15th (tie)
2010 record 6-10

On to the Lone-star state which surprisingly had a more successful baseball team then football team last year. The Cowboys, Superbowl favorites last year, disappointed their fans with a 6-10 record. The record, as mediocre as it seems, should not be blamed on the cowboys offense, who had the 7th ranked offense in the league last year, without Tony Romo for the majority of the year. Rather the blame should be placed on their defense, who instead of building on a successful 2009 season, regressed and had a sub par 2010 season. Jason garret is a good coach, but he has little experience as a head coach in the NFL, but I can appreciate the drive and motivation he brings to his team. I think cowboys offense this year has a chance of replicating last years success, with a healthy Tony Romo, a Dez Bryant with a year of experience, and a decent offense line. However the defense looks like it might be taking a step back, I don't like the fact that Rob Ryan tries to be his brother with the comments about Vick and the eagles. Add to the fact that Terrance Newman is aging fast, Mike Jenkins, who seemingly draws a penalty every time he is on the field, and a weak Linebacker corps with only Ware to build upon.

I do believe, contrary to many people's opinions, that the cowboys offensive line will take a step forward rather than backwards. Doug Free is a good tackle, and it was crucial that the cowboys resigned him, as well as, I think the number nine pick- Tyrone Smith will have a good rookie season, manning down the fort on the right side.

Surprise of the season: Dez Bryant has an 1100 yard receiving season

Biggest Disappointment: Jay Ratliff

Offensive MVP: Dez Bryant

Defensive MVP: Ware- was there ever any question?

Record prediction: 8-8

Jordan Record prediction: 9-7

NFL Team Preview #2

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 300px; height: 318px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhSNgrAKaf6rMcKTc6BLvzV86KP7OkCClQif3_-o1vhNX56EWXvPrl5huMyPuv9yRw2uMhmCz2zWyAn_KiixpATBB75HWa_e-kCxWFJBVsnli5aETzkZZrnXNIswOT8leDJntMsXWT9epI/s320/Washington_Redskins_Jokes_by_StarscreamsGirl12.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642389104492299042" />

Hello All! Good to see you again after a long hiatus.

As you know Jordan posted his prediction for the Miami dolphins, I will start with the redskins as I will be doing the NFC.

Team Offense: 31st
Team Defense: 31st
Strength of Schedule (difficult): 27th
2010 record 6-10

Alright! On to the NFC and we begin with the Washington Redskins, and let me tell you the house of congress is not the only thing in Washington with problems. I believe the skins will be in full contention for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. This should be no surprise to the fans of the Redskins, who are used to losing, as they've been doing it consistently for the last 5 years. I do like the mentality that Shanahan brings, he is a winner, and he is not afraid to make controversial changes, as seen with the cutting of 100 million dollar man, Albert Hanesworth. This year, the redskins are looking to run a offense lead by John Beck. I cannot think of reason why the redskins did not even to attempt to draft a replacement, or sign a veteran quarterback. John Beck will be a horrendous "experiment", and putting it very lightly, I would be more competent to run the Redskins offense then John Beck. I do think that Roy Helu, the rookie out of Nebraska will be a wonderful boost to a weak redskins run game, but the offense will still suffer this year.

The redskins defense is alright, with a strong linebacker corps of Orakpo, Fletcher, and Mcintosh, but a average secondary, and a sub par defensive line. That defense cannot carry that team, However I see the redskins losing a few games by a touchdown or less, but for the most part, the defense will suffer do to a horrendous offensive play.

Surprise of the season: Beck throws less then 30 INTS (and Helu has 9 offensive touchdowns)

Biggest Disappointment: John Beck

Offensive MVP: Torian if he can stay healthy, Helu if not

Defensive MVP: Orakpo, a young stud with a ability to get to the quarterback.

Record prediction: 2-14

Jordan Record prediction: 3-13

2011 NFL Preview Team #1 Miami Dolphins

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 169px;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn6928lK4NvYszf67zqWWiA1jZN-NqBFYAMJ4DYNBUQNzddN_IZYVZotsQMD1SzK2voyt6aFxJWDybJEHyb_3u-YASHCWozODBZDcHtXCF6JemVBwUIGEXq_IoQVjtiVYWH-Ct1Y55b8w/s320/miami.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5642347199392358322" />

Team Offense: 21th
Team Defense: 6th
Strength of Schedule (difficult): 10th
2010 record 7-9

We begin with the AFC East and cue Will Smith as we preview "Miami". Sorry Dolphin fans but I suspect it will be a miserable season to be a fan. Although my suspicions of Tony Sparano being on the phone with Dan Marino have proven false, he might be the best option at this point to bring in fans AND improve the offense. This year as in years past the Dolphins offense will be on the shoulders of an unproven quarterback (Chad Henne or Matt Moore) and with the loss of Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams the dolphins add a rookie running back to the equation in the form of Daniel Thomas.

I like Thomas (he's a strong ROTY candidate as well as 1000 yard rusher) but I don't feel he can support an offense on his own and Henne has yet to show an ability to beat defenses who stack the box to stop the run. The defense was above average last season that may change this year with the loss of Channing Crowder. 1972 seems so long ago.

Surprise of the season: Thomas rushed for over 1000 yards

Biggest Disappointment: Miami's mix and match quarterbacks

Offensive MVP: Daniel Thomas

Defensive MVP: Channing Crowder He left? "Wait, what do mean he retired? he's 27!" Now hiring: Miami DC
Jordan Record Prediction: 4-12
Tyler Record Prediction 6-10
2011 NFL Preview

Hello again everyone!

Due to the amount of work and lack of time in our lives last year, we were unable to closely cover the NFL season last season and we apologize for this. However, with the lockout and free agency settled, predictions time is here again!

Over the next 3 weeks (barring unforeseen circumstances) I will be rolling out a brief team preview for all 32 teams. I hope to have these finished entirely by Sunday of week 1.

Enjoy!

Berry ripe for the picking?

Tyler returns from Houston and talks with Jordan about the NFL draft.

This show is a long one and was recorded BEFORE the MCNABB trade.

Downloadable on Itunes just search Crazy Canucks Football!

<itunes:explicit>no</itunes:explicit><itunes:subtitle>Tyler returns from Houston and talks with Jordan about the NFL draft.
