The problem that most people have, is getting comfortable with mediocrity, settling somewhere they are not happy, losing the motivation to try something new or move forward. Progression is often thought of as hard, when all you have to do is to step by step, gradually move towards where you want to be.

Don't get stuck where you don't want to be, you are only wasting time and energy you could be using to get a better future. If you are going to be doing something anyway, what is the logic in doing something that makes you unhappy? Keep moving forward, live a happy and efficient life.
If you say you want to achieve something that has never been done before, it is probably impossible just because nobody has successfully done it before. Don't let anything put you off setting more than ambitious goals, if nobody did that then we wouldn't have any of the things we have today.
Another great thing about setting goals that seem extremely high, is that even if you don't achieve it, if you look back on everything you have accomplished on way you will be amazing by all the things you have done in an attempt to do the impossible.
"It is a paradoxical but profoundly true and important principle of life that the most likely way to reach a goal is to be aiming not at that goal itself but at some more ambitious goal beyond it." - Arnold Toynbee
Simplicity Is The Key
Once our brains get hold of an idea, we tend to over think the simplistic of things for many reasons. A few may be that we relate good products and ideas with complexity, or in an effort to make something perfect we add too much to it, ending up with an overload off features or information.

Things can be simple, the best products and services today are. Don't ruin your good ideas in an effort to make them better.
In order to be successful you have to put your self in a situation that you have never been in before, somewhere outside your comfort zone, this is why not everybody can do it.
You need to be able to do something you fear, something you and anybody else might have thought that you would never be able to do. So many of us get trapped in an endless cycle of doing things just to get through the years of our existence. Playing video games and watching soaps on television kills time, but that's all they do, you don't gain anything from them once they have finished. When you look at other things in our life that way, you begin to realise how much time you waste on a daily basis.

Imagine living a life where everything you did worked towards creating something, wether it is a business, a charity, building a house, writing a book, anything. Just think that instead of killing time you could be making something that will outlive your time on this earth or make somebody else's life better, wouldn't that be great?

"What you do every day should contribute to giving your life meaning. If it doesn't, why are you doing it?" - Don Hutcheson
When you are planning out an idea or studying towards something, to understand it correctly you have to have a practical take on it. Trying to learn or create something you have never tried, and expecting to be able to do it efficiently is not realistic.

There are errors you will encounter and you will make mistakes, the sooner this happens, the quicker you can learn from them and understand them. Experience is something that you cannot learn, you have to gain it yourself.
Don't find yourself in a continuous cycle of over thinking ideas or opportunities, to the point that somebody takes it from you. The fear of failure can keep you in the same position endeavour, and unless your doing what you have always dreamed of doing, then you don't want to be where you are today in 10 years time.

Take opportunities when they arise and act upon good ideas. If you do fail you simply take it as a lesson and move onto greater things using your experiences. If you give it everything you have got and carry on then you will be on the road to success whether you fail or succeed.

"The person who gets the farthest is generally the one who is willing to do and dare.
