So here I go. I am putting my emotions, heart, PR skills, marketing mojo and I am going to make this happen! As much as I think I can make this happen myself, I can’t. I NEED you. 41 North in Newport was the place to be when newportFILM hosted a friend-raiser to support their non profit organization. newportFILM was WAS FOUNDED IN 2010 TO NURTURE DISCOVERY, CREATIVE ACHIEVEMENT AND COMMUNITY DIALOGUE THROUGH THE ART OF FILM.

We were fortunate enough, to turn a cold winter night into a warm Glam Hollywood event! Guests were decked in their Old Hollywood best attire, drank signature drinks provided by Figenza & Svedka Vodka and nibbled on treats provided by Garnish Events. Red, Gold, and glam were the colors of choice which we used enhanced lighting to achieve this look.

I love dresses. I especially love Shabby Apple women’s dresses. I have been a fan of them for a few years now. Also a fun fact, if you are “normally” a size medium, you are a size small in Shabby Apple, nice boost to the self esteem

When Spring hits in New England, honestly all we think about is summer is in arms reach. Getting ready to hang out with friends on the deck, evening swims at the beach, and cocktail parties. Have you heard of the drinks Sparkling Ice? If not you have to check them out.  It is 0 calorie, gluten free sparkling water. My Dad who is diabetic, gave up soda and started drinking this in it’s replacement and his sugar level has gone down (now if we could get him to give up the sweets!) As described on their website:

Back in 2009 I met Juli aka “The Garter Girl” when I was at the business summit Engage!  During one our exercises, we were asked to pair up, to become “brilliant partners” , a like minded person who is going to hold you accountable for your dreams. Juli and I are that, I have a new business idea, I run it by her, she wants advise how to juggle 2 kids and a business, I help her. We don’t talk everyday, but when we do, it is like we just left off where we are supposed to be, “brilliant partners”. Business advice: get a brilliant partner ASAP, it will change you for the better!

Juli and I reconnected on the beach in Grand Cayman, yet again for Engage! As any friends that are parents, we talk about our kids. I say oh, “A’s birthday is coming up, what are you going to do?” As most Mom’s who are NOT party planners, she looks at me and says, ” Um,not sure, have not really thought about it, but I really should, she deserves it, what do you think?”  So here become’s the Cupcake Party! a conversation on the beach, that led to the most ADORABLE Cupcake Party. Fun activities, great presentation, and happy kids. What a kid’s party should be

This teddy bear baby shower was submitted by Tricia of Pure Dymond Events. Tricia was inspired by our Twins Birdie baby shower that was featured in The Baby Guide Magazine! Tricia says: “I would say the best one to describe some of the elements we liked were from the Twins Baby Shower. We loved the way the polka dots were incorporated into the theme. So what we did was try to mix polka dots, some stripes and solids to give the party a contrast. Not to mention she was really in love with chocolate and baby blue for the color scheme.”
