The new version will be included in the official download and an update email has been sent to customers.

What I’ve modified is how the footer links are displayed – Page links and links created in the links dashboard won’t display by default in the footer anymore. You need to check the checkboxes in the Theme Options dashboard via the new “Footer Links” tab. I’ve notice some people forget to delete the default links in the links dashboard which would be displayed in the footer by default. Also, there are some footer links that you don’t want to show by default. You can categorize them instead, and specify only the category of the link you want to be displayed.

Also, an update for the karbon plugin – I’ve added one line of code in the plugin.

The Karbon squeeze page plugin is a plugin for the WPSpire theme/plugin, so you’ll need it to make this template plugin to function.

Once activated, this plugin will create a new box in the editor screen where you can select the different headers from a drop down menu. You can also upload your own custom headers for this template.

Here’s my latest release.

It’s called WP Spire. It’s a wordpress theme that allows you to create nice looking sales pages and squeeze pages or landing pages in one wordpress installation. This means you can have a sales page on your  front page and a squeeze page on one of your posts. Perhaps you have another product on your domain that you want to publish also but don’t want the hassle of creating and uploading another set of files again, simply create a new post(or page), select your settings within the WP Spire functionalities and publish it! When you do, the theme transforms that page into a sales page look depending on your settings!

The built-in designs also look nice, and even if you want to change the design, you can, because WP Spire is flexible enough to allow you to set the page settings like the background, page width, page border, etc.

I wanted to create something that can be easily modified, and can be “ready-to-go” on few setting selections. You’ll find that there will be drop down menus to select your “background scheme”, a text field where you can enter the page width, a checkbox to trigger the page border on or off, and a lot of advance settings that you can play with later.

Also, I wanted to create a product that can be easily supported. A lot of people still are not comfortable using the free html editors. Even if they run through it, it still takes time to get familiar with it, and chances are the page never gets live. Even after the site is done, they still have to upload the whole site in ftp and if they made a mistake in their site, they have to re-edit that file, transfer that file again, open up the editor again, and reupload it back.

That’s why I wanted to use something that does away with this hassle. Hence, I chose to create a internet marketing theme through wordpress. Wordpress because it’s such a great platform, it’s widely use, has such great support from other users and sites can be further enhanced without reconstructing it again from scratch.

Although there’s a lot things I can write on this one posts, why not check out the main Wordpress Spire site. There’s a lot of stuff you can do with WP Spire and there’s a lot of things that I made easier when creating a sales page or squeeze page (like inserting the optin box? You can adjust settings in a panel box instead of tinkering with the html code).

This time the opt in box are expandable and each is now designed having two arrows at the top-left and lower-right corners of the optin box pointing to your opt in form and text.

It pretty much draws attention (which was my goal.) to anyone who’s going to scan your sales page.

Oh, I also added a bigger version of the testimonial boxes included in the package-access. This is so that you can use it as a module box, like if you have a Module 1, Module 2, Module 3, etc. for your product.

I noticed that some sales page I visit have their products divided into modules or components, so I thought of adding the bigger version of the graphical testimonial boxes to be used as mentioned. Dlguard is an online solution that allows you to secure and deliver your digital goods, be it an ebook, or software, or a zip file, etc. It also allows you to set up expiry dates of the download page, and if for some reason the customer missed to download the product, you can resend the download email message to the customer via your admin panel.

Although the security feature is the primary reason others choose DLGuard, it wasn’t the main reason for me.

The main reason I got DLGuard(v4) was … the signup form for DLGuard’s membership module requires only two customer fields! While other membership script requires a lot form fields to be filled out when you register for some membership access, like address, phone number, country, etc., DLGuard only requires the email address and password. This for me does the job for what I needed.

I don’t want the intimidating long signup forms for anybody who buys a product of mine, only two will do. It makes the customer experience much easier and it’s really what I only needed. I notice the same experience when I bought other people’s product powered by DLGuard and they only had two fields for me to fill out and it was simple and easy and gives you a hassle-free experience.

Sure, you may want to require other customer fields, but if you want simplicity DLGuard does that job superbly.

Not to mention that DLGuard also has a shopping cart module, can set discount coupons, is easier to setup, and is connected to the customer’s payment info so that anytime a customer requests a refund, it’s easy to cancel and deny his access to your membership site later.

Plus another feature that I chose DLGuard is it’s ease of integration with Getresponse!

So if customer buys your product and you want him to be added to your Getresponse list, you only need to put some of your Getresponse info while setting up the product and any customer who buys your product will be automatically be added to your list without him filling another form!

Moreover, what makes this product seen as above the others is the phenomenal support given by Sam Stephens – the owner! Seriously, look at the DLGuard forum, almost every support thread has been answered by him! If you want install help, just ask away.

One thing I don’t like though, are the default templates… but that’s just me. Anyway, it an easy job to deal with since DLGuard is template-base which means you can use your own template and just insert the necessary DLGuard variables you want to display.

So yeah, DLGuard – requires only two fields, great security feature, membership module, shopping cart module, template base, easy, great support hmm … what else…
