Unusually I started off with the finding the papers for this card, they are by Fabscraps, love them and must get some more. I inked one of Sams background stamps (on the website soon), with Versamark ink and added Gold Embossing Powder, just to add a bit more interest to the backing paper. The Sentiment is from Art Phrases Stamp sheet, it was stamped with Walnut Stain Distress Ink onto another sheet of Fabscraps paper and cut out with Spellbinders Labels 13 I also used the same the same die to make the frame, then tucked a Motif from the Moroccan Motifs die set behind.

The Artful Angel which has been coloured with Copics is from the Artful Ladies A5 Stamp Set as was the Flower at the top. I cut a strip of Matching Backing paper and folder it along the length and attached to the bottom of the card, then added a Lace rose, (this rose was so easy to make, I just distressed some Lace with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and rolled it up, love how it turned out). The Hat Pinsare also available from Creative Studios.

I’ve had fab fun doing this project, I’ve used stamps from all four of the new stamp sets … Butterfly Girl, Artful Ladies, Art Sayings & Art Phrases.   I used lots of the texture stamps on the background all embossed in Gold & Copper. Butterfly Girl was coloured in using Promarkers and heaps of glitter on her wings, I’ve added Tim Holtz Sprocket Gears, Silky Crush ribbon, Bakers Twine, a sentiment from the Art Phrases stamp set and I’ve even snuck in a stamp from Sam’s Vintage Sewing set and added another pair of wings ! …. hope you all like it !! ))

Since opening my shop back in September I have made it my mission to bring in new products to build a variety to suit all tastes. Today I am introducing two American scrapbooking companies called ‘Prima’ and ‘Jenni Bowlin’. I have now added a ‘Journaling and Scrapbooking’ catergory on the shop where you can find some of these new products.

First up we have a range of Prima’s Wooden Buttons and Wooden Clocks. These are just too pretty to use and just sit in my stash looking at me lol

I love these little Art Tiles….there are three different design sets available. I can see these going on some future canvas projects.

To continue the Scrapbooking theme we now have a small selection of 12×12 and 6×6 Paper Pads. I am often asked where I get my papers from so you can now expect me to be using these. The 12×12 Ledger pad here on the left is such a useful pad to have as it is all vintage text on a variety of different colour shades so I can always find something to suit the project I am working on. Love it!

And for those interested in Scrapbooking and Journaling we now have these two Journals available. On the left is a ’7×9 Mixed Media Album‘ which contains 2 Paper Tags, 4 Plastic Sleeves, 4 Plain Canvas Sheets, 4 Watercolour Sheets, 4 Insert Resist Canvas, 6 Pieces Double Sided Cardstock. The other ’7×9 Art Journal’ contains Paper Envelope, Paper Pocket, 4 Folders, 4 Photo Sleeves (Room for 16 4×6 pictures), 2 Full Page Plastic Sleeves, 2 Business Card Sleeves (Room for 16 Standard Size Business Cards), 1 Full Page Bag With Zipper, 12 Customizable Calendar Pages, 3 Checklists, 40 Pre-Printed Cardstock Pages, 1 World Map, 1 US Map, 1 Sticker Sheet, 1 Foam Dot Sheet, 1 Ticket Sheet.

The pictures really don’t do itself much justice but these are a lovely keepsake or gift to a fellow scrapbooker.

And lastly from Jenni Bowlin we have these Memo Note Books which I have in three different colours black, red and grey. These have some lovely blank ledger pages to rip out and use on your projects and also some co-ordinating stickers.

For my first card (4x4inches) I inked the edges and melted in some Cosmic Shimmer UTE Crystals in Gold lustre. I took a small piece of script patterned paper from my stash mountain, inked the edges and embossed it with my Cuttlebug and a Polka Dot Mask.  I lightly rubbed over the embossing with black ink.  I die cut the doily shape (Cheery Lynn) from some tissue paper (I think this was packaging) I inked with distress inks; scrunched it up a bit before adhering to the card.  Once stuck in place I blobbed some more of the UTEC on top of the doily.

The stamped main image is from the newly released Butterfly Girl stamp set.  I stamped her; cut her out; masked off the head and the body and sprayed her wings with glimmer mists.  When I took the mask off some of the glue dots from my herma glue remained and I quite liked it… so I left them on.  I added Sepia Accents to her body and head.  I coloured the rose with alcohol markers before embossing with the UTEC.  The words are from the new Art Saying stamp set, fabulous words that I know I’ll be using again and again.  The finishing touches on this card are the cosmic shimmer pearl dots in Golden Pearl and Choco Brown and of course my trademark Ribbon bow.

I had a little play time the other night and made this card with the Artful Ladies, Butterfly Girl and Art Sayings stamp sets….

I stamped the lady figure from the Artful Ladies stamp set onto some book paper and then coloured in with promarkers and layered up on Spellbinders Labels Twenty Three with a navy blue faux nesty. The flowers that are also from this set were stamped onto old book paper and cut out also. The birdcage is one of our new greyboard shapes that I coloured with Denim Adirondack Dye Ink. The bird and the swirls were off the Butterfly Girl Stamp set and then the phrase was from the Art Sayings stamp set. I added some blue rhinestone in the centre of the flowers and corners of the card and also added a bow made from the Navy Blue Silky Crush ribbon. I also pierced around the edge of the blue card stock and the Labels Twenty Three shape to add some interest.

I have used a mixture of stamps from the Artful Ladies A5 Stamp Sheet (Figure, Heart, Flowers, Crosses) and the Buttefly Girl A5 Stamp Sheet   (Balloons, Leaves & Bird).  The Dress and Jacket have been paper pieced, I have cut out an extra pair of wings and 3d them on to add some movement.

The Sentiment is a stamp from the A5 Sheet of Art Phrases, which I then cut up into seperate words , Finally I added Flowers, Lace, Ribbon and Butterflies from my stash.

I created the background on this tag using the Polka Dot Mask, a couple of the texture stamps from the ‘Butterfly Girl’ set which were stamped and embossed in brown and then spritzed in Dark Spice & Soft Moss Cosmic Shimmer Misting Sprays from the ‘Winter Garden’ Set.

I’ve taken one of the ‘Artful Ladies‘, stamped & embossed her, chopped off her wings and painted her with the Soft Moss Cosmic Shimmer I also used this technique on the flowers, leaves & heart stamps.

I’ve added a few beads from my own stash, added some Vintage Ribbon in Moss Green and Amber Brown along with the sentiment from the ‘Art Sayings’ stamp set.

So on to my NEW Designs! I love this part of my job! The excitement and anticipation when I finally get to release what I have been working on And plus the other reason why I am particularly excited this time around is because I now have my own branded packaging…eeek super excited!

Ok so here are the 4 new stamp sets which are designed to co-ordinate with each other. One of the phrase stamp sets (Art Sayings) I launched the other week just incase you were wondering if it was the same one. I have classed these stamps as ‘Journaling’ as that is what I had in mind for them but the figures are perfect size for cardmaking also.
