This image came from the Imagine More Cards Imagine cartridge. It is cut at 3.75". I only did 3 of the layers, the main image, everything that is on the brown layer and then the clover. The blue striped paper is also from this cartridge so it matched perfectly.

I cut a smaller clover out at .8" and put it on the inside.

Here is a side view. You can see the layers better. I pop dotted each layer to make it more dimensional.

Thanks for stopping by!
Kiss Me I'm Irish Pin!

Hi, Kris here again with a St. Patty's Day pin project. For today's project I used the new digital St. Patricks Day image set available under Craft Room Exclusives on cricut.com/shop.

Size the pin to your liking and color accordingly. For the banner I used a pattern from the Enjoy the Seasons cartridge.

The pin itself is colored and cut as one image. This video will guide you through how to layer an image with all it's pieces and cut as one piece. It works great for those tiny pieces like you get in the Disney cartridges.

The video demonstrates the Goofy character but applies to any layered image.

The shamrock is glittered. I used Stampin Up heat n stick to apply the glitter. It keeps the glitter from coming off once set. This stuff is WONDERFUL! Glitter is Martha Stewart and has green and gold in it.

I cut an oval from craft room basics and sized it approximately the same as the image. It is cut from cereal box and used for stability of the pin.

I added a pin back to the image with liquid adhesive.

Thanks for joining me today.

Hi Everyone! It's Merilee here today with a St. Patrick's Day baby girl ensemble.

I have been dying to try printing on fabric and decided to give it a try for the first time today. My youngest granddaughter will celebrate her first birthday and I thought this would make a great gift. That's why I chose a pink and green color scheme.

This project began with a package of Avery Printable Fabric that I found at Office Max, as well as the following cartridges:

I would like to note that the printable fabric you purchase must be for ink jet printers and *NOT* for laser printers. The background image was chosen from Nursery Tails; the shamrocks from A Child's Year; the sentiment from Paisley, filled in with patterns from Blossom. After making my choices from each cartridge, I measured the space I had to place each object, and sized things on my Imagine accordingly. I made sure my settings were correct before making my cuts: my blade was set at 6, but I changed my speed to 3, as well as my pressure to 3. I then set my multi cut function to 2 but, in hindsight, I really did not need to cut it twice. This printable fabric cuts like butter with no fraying edges or unsightly corners.

The following photo shows the actual cuts that were made:

Now on to preparation. This particular printable fabric is backed with iron on adhesive. However, it can be sewn on, as well. In my case, I ironed it on first and stitched around everything with my sewing machine. The project would have been even cuter had I used puffy paints instead of stitching, but as I searched my stash of puffy paints, I found that the colors I needed were dried up so I stitched instead.

I began with a onsie and ironed it all nice and flat.

The next step was to add my cuts. With a dry iron, I first applied the background and then I adhered the remainder of the elements, ironing each layer as I went along.

My next step was to stitch around the edges of selected objects to better highlight the details, as well as secure the entire iron on so it will survive many launderings.

The process was relatively quick, so I began to add a bit of trim around the neck, the skirt waste, as well as the little socks. Everything coordinated very well by the time I finished.

And this is my finished ensemble...

I hope you enjoyed my project today. Perhaps this will inspire you to grab a package of printable fabric and let your imagination go to create something unique with your Imagine. It couldn't be more fun and the possibilities are endless!

Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see you again soon!

I'm so glad to be back today. I really enjoy creating projects for this blog. Our theme for the next two weeks is St. Patrick's Day!

This week over at Cricut all the digital craft room images are 20% off! I'm a circle member and get another 10% so figured I'd get the St. Patricks Day release. Click here to view the content (there are 6 images). There are other cartridges out there that have suitable images such as Designer Calendar, Paper Doll Dress Up.

Todays card is interactive. It's called a view finder card. Directions can be found at Splitcoaststampers. You remember when we were kids and we would put this thing up to our faces like binoculars and you'd pull a little leaver and the picture would change....same idea here ....turn the wheel on the right and the saying will change. I wrote four different sayings on the wheel that rotates. Happy Birthday!, Happy St. Patrick's Day!, It's 5 o'clock somehwere!, Whatever! The card is for my friend who's birthday is on St. Patrick's Day.

My background paper was created using the Imagine and CCR. Filled a 6 x 6 inch square with green from Blast Off and then using the shamrock image from Paper Doll Dress Up I randomly placed shamrocks over top. Click here for a video tutorial on creating background papers.

Cheers! - Art Nouveau

Sponged ink on the edges of the glass for depth. Placed vellum behind the holes.
Don't you love the foam on the beer? Squeezed Puffy Paint over the cardstock and allowed it to dry a while. Then I heat the image with a heat gun. The heat causes the paint to puff up.

You can see the different saying in the window.

I used gold and diamond stickles to accent the pot of gold and well as a rhinestone on the clover.

I did use punches/spellbinders for making the scalloped circles.

This is what the foam on the beer looked like before it was heated. If you heat it as soon as you apply it the end result will look more like popped popcorn. The more you leave it dry when heated it still puffs up but with more bumps. Just experiment! If you don't have a heat tool your hair blower might work or if you have a tool in the garage that you use for taking off wall paper it will work to but be careful cause those get really hot.

All images were printed and cut with the Imagine.

The theme is still something with a frog and so this is what I came up with, I hope you like it.

All the papers are from the Blast off cart, I love them because they are such bright and fun colors. The frog is from the Sweethearts cart cut at 2.4" and those papers are from the blast off cart also. I did this all in CCR, that just makes it so easy. I made a rectangle and filled it with the green print and then typed in the text box the sentiment with the all mixed up font and then just did a print. I then cut and edge punched it to fit my card. The frog and crown are on pop dots and the crown has stickles on it. For more info go to my blog here.

I created this card using the Cricut Craft Room then printed and cut it out with my Imagine. I love the combo of CCR and the Imagine. It works PERFECTLY together! I use my Imagine more than my E2 now. This is what the LO of my CCR mat looked like:

Here is the finalized card.

The frog is from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge. All of the colors and designer papers are from the Bubblegum Stripes Imagine cartridge. All of the cartridges used and sizes are listed at the bottom.

I used Diamond Stickles all over. I embossed the white paper w/ the Seeing Spots Cuttlebug Embossing folder and then put a Diamond stickle dot in the center of each dot.

Here is the inside of the card. I put a strip of the pink striped paper on the inside and one of the extra birthday hats.

Thanks for stopping by! We'll have two more frog projects this week so be sure to stop by this Wed & Fri.

For this project I used the Elise Imagine cartridge for my pattern and colors.

I created the border from a piece of orange and edge die cut with Stampin Ups new Edgelit scallop die. I then embossed it with the matching Stampin Up edge embossing folder. I inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress Ink and rough upped the edges a little.

The faux ribbon I created in Cricut Craft Room using various widths of rectangles.

The frog is cut from Create a Critter and mounted on the front with dimentional adhesive.

For a little more detail, I used glossy accents on the leaves of the flourish.

Hi everyone! It's Merilee here with my take on this week's cute frog theme. My grandson's birthday is coming up in March, so I thought I'd get a head start and create a card for him. I decided to do an easel card so he could stand it up in his bedroom and look at it whenever he likes.

For this card, I used the Nursery Tails Art Cartridge. I just loved the frog on this cartridge. All of the patterned papers are from this cartridge, as well. I printed and cut the backgrounds and then cut each layer out, as well. Here are all of the cuts that I used:

Some of these images were extras and didn't make it on the final card, but I'll use them on the envelope, as well as for a gift tag.

The card base was made from two pieces of cardstock; the first cut at 4-3/4 by 9 and the second cut at 4-3/4 by 4-3/4. Fold the longest piece in half to create a mountain fold and score the edges. Then fold one of those sections in half again, this time creating a valley fold. Adhere the 4-3/4 square to the folded section and you've got the base for the easel card. If you'd like to view a Youtube tutorial for this card, it is available on the Splitcoast Stampers website here. My card base dimensions are cut slightly different than the tutorial suggests. You may choose dimensions to suit your needs.

The background is layered atop the patterned paper and is popped up with foam tape. Then each subsequent layer is added over top with pop dots.

The cute little frog is attached with an Action Wobble. He wobbles back and forth as if he's going to hop right off the page! I added green wiggle eyes for even more movement.

For the inside of the card, I cut the square with rounded corners using the basic shapes loaded on my Cricut Imagine. I then flood-filled the square with one of the background prints from the Bonus Content on the cartridge.

The trim along the bottom of this card is from the selection of Icons. I chose the striped trim, flood-filled it with a solid blue and set the size at 2.0. I then chose the same trim again, kept the striped pattern, but changed the size to 1.5. It reminds me of rickrack.

Before layering these trims, I added the green print grosgrain ribbon from the Martha Stewart Create collection. I couldn't believe how well it coordinated with the patterns on this cartridge! Then the blue trim is adhered to the card with ScorTape, but the striped trim is popped up with foam tape in order to create the "stop" to catch the card front when it is open and create the easel effect. I then added a blue button from my stash, threaded with two-tone twine from Stampin Up. Just for fun, one more little frog is sitting above the button. :o)

This was a fun and easy card to create with my Cricut Imagine. Although the Nursery Tails cartridge is primarily for babies, so many of the darling images and elements can be used in other ways--this is only one of many examples. I hope this inspires you to think outside the box and find other uses for your Nursery Tails cartridge.

Thank you for joining me today and I hope to see you again soon!

If you've been following the posts for the last couple of weeks you will have had a chance to see Valentine projects from each of the design team. There's been cards, home decor and gift packaging. As a design team member I anxiously await to see what the other gals have come up with and they certainly did a fabulous job!

A tip for today as well - How to get your paper to stick to your mats better! Once I place my paper on my mat I use a brayer to press down the paper. It seems to help the whole piece adhere better and stay stuck. If you don't have a brayer use a rolling pin - same idea.
So that brings us to our next theme. FROGS That was our only criteria.
I struggled a little bit with an idea for this project. Originally I wanted to do a scrapbook page but the mojo just wasn't there. Sometimes that happens. Finally decided on a card but wanted to show you some little things you can add to your card to make it "pop" a little more.

Cartridges Used
Frog - Create a Critter
All paper printed and cut with Imagine - Nursery Tails

Project designed using CCR. I must say it is really working well these days! I used the shadow shape of the frog (5.5") and welded two images together for the base of the card. The remaining layers are printed at 5.25".

This is what the pieces look like taken directly from the mat and layered.

This image I inked around the edges of the pink on the cheeks and tummy. Also I inked in blue around the base of the card.

Added some black stitching for detail.

Decided some goggly eyes made him look more alive.

Froggy also has glossy cheeks. Below you can see the difference. I used Glossy Accents to create a shiny surface. Basically it's a thick clear liquid that when dry it remains glossy and raised slightly.

The phrase on his tummy created using Grafix Rub-ons. These are made using your computer font and printer.

Have a great week!

Yvonne

www.ink-spirations.blogspot.com

I hope you like my project it was fun to make. The theme is still Valentines Day so I made a little bag to fill with love and treats. I actually did this in Cricut Craft Room, you don't need to though. I did it so I could get the right sizes of things and pick the color for the bag, it is so nice how you can just change things until you find what you like. The bag is from the Wrap it up cart cut at 9.5" and filled in with a print from Imagine more cards cart. I inked all the edges and tied it up with ribbon and tulle.
The heart was cut at 4" from the Imagine More Cards cart and the tickets at 1.25". The heart is glued down on 3 sides to form a pocket for the tickets to slide into. All the layers are on pop dots. For more pictures and info go to my blog here.
Here is the front:

Here is the side view. The cream layer w/ the word LOVE is popped up. I then popped up the heart as well.

Here is the inside of the card. I like to do layering on the inside as well to add an extra touch. I also cut out a small heart for that extra cuteness. :)

Hi Everyone. It's Kris back with another project to celebrate Valentine's Day.

I used a few cartridges for this project...A Child's Year, Heirloom and Craft Room Basics.

My card base is 4.25 x 4.25. I used my Imagine and a color from the Heirloom matching palette to create the base.

The base layer is approximately 4x4 and I flood filled it with a pattern from Heirloom. The scallop heart is from the Craft Room Basics and filled with a cream color from the same cartridge. This is placed on the base layer and I just used print to get my base.

The red heart is also from Craft Room Basics. I used the shadow feature of the image from A Child's Year and welded it to the heart. It is flood filled with a coordinating color. After printing and cutting I ran it through my Cuttle Bug with the Damask Tim Holtz texture fade folder.

The boy and girl are printed in black and cut out. I sprayed them with Iridescent gold glimmer mist and glued them to the red heart. It is then popped up with dimentionals.

The camera didn't pick up the sparkle. I looks much prettier in person!

On the inside I used a stamp from Stampin Up and the word window punch and frame punch.

Hello Everyone! My name is Merilee and I am so excited to be a designer for Creative Critterz Imaginations! This is my first opportunity to take part in a design team and I couldn't be more thrilled!

For today's project, I am sharing a Valentine Candy Box Card with you. This card is actually fairly simple to make. Just before Christmas I was looking for a unique gift idea and I ran across a tutorial for this card base here. I simply had to try it! You will only use about a sheet and a half of 8.5 x 11 cardstock to create this base. There are only about three basic cuts and a few score marks to make, and voilà!

The original card was made to accommodate tealight candles; however, I thought it would make the cutest candy box.

For the artwork on the front of my card, I used two cartridges with my Cricut Imagine: Baby Boutique and The Good Old Days. The heart locket in the background is from Baby Boutique. It comes complete with skeleton key in the booklet, but I chose not to use the key in this application. The banner is from The Good Old Days. I just received this cartridge in the mail today and was so excited to use it!

As you can see from this close up, the heart locket and the banner were cut in layers and then popped up on pop dots for dimension.

The retro detail in this Valentine banner is so cute! I added a few extra details of my own and layered it up over top of the heart locket.

I actually made four of these cards for my grandchildren, so I chose the darling little animal paper you see in this photo from the Olivia Paper Pad by Basic Grey. However, it would have been just as easy to print matching background patterns with my Cricut Imagine.

The card is a little thicker than most, since there is a box of candy inside. It is secured closed on the side with a ribbon tied in a bow.

Once opened, you can see the box of candy.

This one is filled with M&Ms, but it is large enough to accommodate Hershey's Kisses or Nuggets, or even lolly pops. I used my Martha Stewart punch for the trim detail across the front of the box, and my Cricut Imagine for the hearts on the center inside. Here is another view of the inside of the card.

To create the window, I used recycled blister packaging from my new Cricut cartridge that I received in the mail today. I use this packaging in many of my projects. For this card, the acetate is heavy weight and adds stability to the box. I used ScorTape to secure both ends of the box to ensure that it does not open unexpectedly.

This card has a lot going on with the various patterns and shapes, so I kept my embellishments to a minimum and used only a few felt flowers from Michael's. The glittered ribbon (also from Michael's) is such a pretty shade of pink, don't you think?

Here is another view of the card that will give you a better idea of the overall shape and depth.

I hope you enjoyed this project and hopefully it will inspire you to make a Valentine candy box card of your own.

Thank you for joining me today and I'll see you again soon! :o)

I'm excited to be here...this is going to be a great week. The design team is all assembled for the next six months and anxious to share their projects with you.
This week and next all projects will have a Valentine theme.

I had a hard time deciding on which project to share. If you stop by my personal blog this week I'll be sharing a couple more card projects. I've kinda got on a roll with Valentine cards. lol

I used lots of cartridges for this card. It's pretty amazing once you get looking through your cartridges how versatile some of them are.
Love - Sweethearts
Birds - Wedding
Paper Trimmings - Heart Circle
George & Basic Shapes - Circles
Imagine Heirloom - Pattern Paper and solid colors

I used the Imagine to print and cut the entire project. Imagine cartridge Heirloom for all solid & pattern papers. I love being able to utilize my regular cartridges with my Imagine machine.

Once again I used Cricut Craft Room. It's great for getting the sizing correct for layering.
I did weld two 6" circles together to make the base for the circle card.

This is what my page looks like before I print and cut.

I added tiny black beads to the card.

I'm sharing my candles also that I made with vinyl and the Sweethearts cartridge. For more details you can visit my blog and there's more photos of both sides. The other side has words, such as "Kiss Me", "Smitten Kitten" and "Love"

I think this is a wrap for me. Merilee will be posting Wednesday with her project.

Yvonne

Hope you had a relaxing week-end. I filled mine with some crafting. I did cards, Valentine candles and some scrapbooking. I've been neglectful of my scrapbooking and need to get consistent again.

Announcement for the new additions to the design team were announced on Friday! Woo Hoo! Look forward to working with these talented ladies.

I visited my 2 1/2 year old Grandson in November and had a list of things I wanted him & I to do together. One was be cookies. What a riot that was. I forgot what it is like have an eager helper. lol
We all wore a little flour.
For both pages I used Kate's Kitchen for all the paper and images. The tiny hearts were made with a punch. Quicker & easier.

Faux stitching around the letters. Inked the green cardstock. Doing both of these techniques helps to give the look of added layers and definition.

Cartridge used for the recipe card - From My Kitchen

I utilized CCR to get the sizing right. If you haven't tried CCR yet you should give it a whirl.

Even if you don't cut with it being able to organize the images for sizing is a great help and also for color matching.

Before I started using CCR I wasted a lot of paper - I would cut on scrap paper first to see if the sizing was correct and then re-cut using the project paper.

The hand is supposed to be my Grandson's, I had his parents trace it and e-mail to me. There was a sizing problem when I printed it so I had to re-size it. I'll have to get the original snail mailed to me.

The recipe for baking cookies pretty much says it all.

It was a fun time. Now to scrapbook the decorating of the cookies.

That was another adventure.

Thanks for taking the time today to visit and allowing me to share with you.

The purse/box is on page 28 under bonus content. I placed it on my mat and selected fit to page. This will give me the maximum size the Imagine can cut the image at.

Score the box and use a strong adhesive like score tape or red line tape to adhere the sides.

The card is made from the image on page 10. I separated the layers and flood filled the background layer with the pattern on page 39. This matches the front of the purse/box. I removed the chicken layer and the hat layer and only cut the base, first layer and the words.

I added a butterfly from the Icons section, page 32. It is cut twice at 1.2". The first butterfly is adhered directly to the card and the second I bent the wings up and attached the body with a rolled up glue dot directly on the first butterfly.

The card base is also a pattern from the cartridge, found on page 40.

I wanted to make the image look like it was hanging so I punched a hole in the top and use brown ribbon to tie a bow.

I added a butterfly on the front of the purse/box cut at 2" to tie it all together.

Visit my blog for more ideas! http://www.tatteredprimitives.com/

Here is my finished card:

Now remember today is the last day to submit an Imagine project to be on the CCI team. I hope that everyone that has an Imagine and has the time, signs up. It's a lot of fun and it'll help you use your Imagine more. :)

Card Recipe:

Snow Friends Cricut Cartridge - 3.5"

Bubblegum Stripes Imagine Cartridge - Pink paper on the snowman

Snow Angel Imagine Cartridge - Blue Snowflake paper

My Pink Stampers Encourage Me stamp set

Peachy Keen Stamps Snow Cutie Face Assortment

Diamond Stickles

White Gel Pen

PTI - Hibiscus Burst and White cardstock
