I absolutely have no problem with those who choose to the option of going homo/gay or bisexual, it's like me choosing wine and others falling for the cigarette and some other doing both cigarette and wine.. it's a world of choices and such people should be allowed to do what they like with their assholes but where I stand against such is when this people choose not to go with the consequences.

If you head to the seminary or convent to become a priest in the Catholic Church, you're definitely dead sure you just signed away the right to biologically have your own children, therefore I beseech or dear brothers and sisters in love to acknowledge the consequences of choosing to love your kind and go matrimonial with it, it comes with the condition of not being able to biologically have your own progeny so please prepare for the consequences if you've not had any before you made this choice.

Desist from the idea of adopting children, it is an attempt to deprive children that were created by those who took the option you rejected so don't even think of it, stick with love and the consequences of it, dare not deprive this children the opportunity of having a normal life. Your sexual orientation was a choice and not a normal situation or natural condition so please eschew the idea of adopting children that were born by straight people in your bid to probably show them love that you lack, please embrace the beauty of being gay, remain childless and allow those children that you are trying to help have a normal life. Don't make gay-ism a normalcy, it is better for this children to grown up without parents than to grow up in the confusion of having either two daddy's or two mummy's, don't deprived them the normal life you had before you made your choice to go homo, let them grow up normally so that they can make choices rationally just like have done.

Please don't mix up the idea of adoption with other options, this plea is all the way, don't even toy with the idea of surrogacy, the fact that the child is from your spermatozoa does not give you the right to deny them a normal life, no you can't do surrogate, going homo is like taking the oath of celibacy, please hold unto love and let it hold, it is an abuse of the right of a child to normal life if you break this rule, don't deny any child the right to a normal life, be it yours or someone else' child. If you were born by a father and a mother, raised by your own blood or adopted by another but raised in a home where there was a real mum and a real dad, please stay away from the idea of having children as long as you've made the choice to be gay, it is important, all lives matters and should be allowed to have normal experiences as you had it before you made your choices.. be true to your man or woman depending on your choice of homosexuality and enjoy the consequences of it. It is not a crime, sooner or later, society will embrace you better so don't worry, just be happy because I love you too.

Please be real, your choice of love is really not a thing to worry about, I personally totally understand where you are and I can only hope you'll understand society as well. Long before you were born, anything that is not seen as normal is usually resisted, sometimes with violence so brace yourself, not everyone is like me, but soon you will become a part of our culture, and like every special member of the society, you will soon become ubiquitous, functioning in your own world and blending in so fine like the rest of us. Please don't remind use that you are gay by holding a placard over your heard everywhere you go as if what you are doing is wrong, it is not wrong, it's only abnormal so please learn from the straight members of the society, remove the placards on your head and let the gay part of you be behind doors with your partner like the rest of us that are not, you don't have to remind us that you are gay and proud, we are not proud about our being straight but we are cool with it. Please keep your sexual orientation mum, we don't need to know.

Lastly before I stop this my unusual rant, remember it is your duty to keep the world around you sane either you are sane or gay, being who you become is not priority, what you project and how other see you is all that defines you in the end. Be smart and courageous and let the world see it in your actions and reaction.

Dear Sabitiu Cecilia Oderinlo,

It seems like a few days ago that you left but indeed, it’s been more than a few years, it’s ten wonderful years already since you left this world of sin to the realm that is unseen to us all, a chapter that we hopefully will see or never get to see if Jesus returns before the inevitable unseen arrives. It’s beautiful that you left at the ripest of age, an age when death was celebrated with funfare even with tears in our eyes, it is sad for me that you left me here all alone, with no one to pamper me like a toddler, no one to run their hand through my hair and make feel like nothing else matters, I rejoice in the beauty of your life, sad you are gone, hoping that I will hold you in my arms again dear Sabitiu.

I know you might find it hard to believe but it’s true, for the first time in a long time, I woke up very very early this morning after sleeping so late and said a prayer, not for myself, but for my friends and foes and the world around me. I could hear your voice aloud in my ears, your sweet sonorous voice reaching out to the God of Heaven as you intercede for all and sundry, giving no damn whether even God can hear you or not because you believed in words and in God Himself more than God could imagine. Your ardent believe in God is not your fault though, who else will you believe in if not the God of heaven that gave you Oluwarantimi (God Remembered Me) and Olatundun at a very old age, making me the bonafide Super Grandson of A Barren Woman. Even when you’ve given up, God showed up so you cared less about whether He was going to show again… you held unto him all through, and here we are, in hundreds and more, the children and grandchildren of the once barren Sabitiu, my “Iya Agba”. I hope you are resting and not working hard up there like you always do, I trust you sha, I know you can’t grow weak even in Heaven.

I’ve got good news for you Cecilia, the feat that God did with you, yes! Ending your barreness… He’s visited us again and Auntie Dupe Pupa, yes Dupe Olaiya your granddaughter has finally given birth to a child… don’t scream and dance and roll like you usually do, I know she’s in her 50s, but I also know you were older and you still had Tundun after Ranti… We are already in our Oliver Twist mode dear, we are asking Baba God for a son for her like you had it. I forgot you are up there with Baba God, you saw it all already, just tell big G that I have collected Boluwatife from her, she still needs her own child… Yes I did, I took her as my own, she came on the same day I was born, and she’s my name sake so she’s mine. Atlast I found someone that will make me miss you less, just like Ayokunumi, just the thought of her brings me limitless joy.

Iya Agba mio! (in Uncle Paul’s voice), I hope you are there with your son Paul, he left before you but we kept it a secret because you loved him too much and we didn’t want you to die of a heartbreak like he did, we loved you too much too but we are glad you finally found him again… you guys have been together for 10 years now, I feel jealous he’s got you because I miss you, but I’m glad… I can say I miss you.

I miss making those fine cornrow with your felefele hair, knowing it will get loose in two or three days and I will have to plait it again, your thought me almost everything, including how to make a woman beautiful by making her hair, I miss every minute of you and I am glad you are mine forever, not even Iya Toyin that I love so dearly can take your place. I love you Iya Agba mi!

I couldn’t cry when you died, everybody did but I just couldn’t find tears, I laughed when I saw your son cry, I chose not to believe it but tonight, I write this with tears in my eyes… not just because you’re gone, I remember everything you were and I just can’t seem to find anyone else to fill the void you left. I will say nothing about who you were, both the dead and living that knew you celebrate you today again and again.

I will pretend I believe that phrase “God loves you more”, even God knows that I love you more.

I'm sure by now you must have noticed she's my name sake "Eniola" but that's not all... She's my birthday mate, my heart, soul and etc mate... We're #Aries 👌 and more importantly the offsprings of barren women.

I'm the Grandson of a Barren Woman "Sabitiu" 😉 and Boluwatife here is The Daughter of A Beautiful Barren Woman "Modupeola" who happens to be my big cousin 😘. She got her rare beauty from her barren mum, perhaps because she came through a womb that has been preserve for more than 50 years 💝, a perfect gift from God she is...

Don't act surprised, she's the first child and the only daughter of a 50something year old woman, she arrived on thesame day I was born in April 2015 and we are hoping her lil brother comes in a year or two. My dad and his sister came when my late Grandma Sabitiu was in her late 50s and early 60s so don't even think I'm asking for the impossible, remember I'm the grandson of a barren woman, I've been there before 😉.

Now that you've met my everything, I hope you know you don't really really matter 😉 she's all that matter 💯 💯 forever and God ultimately. Ehn... Don't even think about it, my @culbertamuwa is still 💯💯 and Oyindamola is still 💯💯, they just got a lil sis and the 💯💯% % feeling got a multiplier effect.

The True Definition of Grace

The society plus the English dictionaries erroneously defined Grace as

" the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and the bestowal of blessings (in Christian belief)"

Yes it is free and given only to those who accept it, yes it was manifested through the death and resurrection of Christ, but it doesn't bestow blessing or immunity in such perspective, it rathers gives you a new identity that is defined and characterized by the life of Christ, giving you the ability to resist sin and overcome temptation. It doesn't give you the license to continue in sin under the guise of "the price is paid" or "I am immune to sin", grace does not cover for sin, it gives you the power to step away from it totally.

To make it clearer and more congenial, I will use an analogy that defines everything clearly so we understand the perspective of grace, away from the general perspective.

Whether you are a saint or sinner, white, black or any colour between, Pope or usher, President or the least in the civil service, as long as you are not Khaleesi aka Daenerys Stormborn Dany The Unburnt of the Game of Thrones, if you deep your hand into an open flame or you're thrown into a burning pit, you will get burnt like suya because that's the natural order. That is the nature of sin, that is its natural identity, it's like the flame, not a respecter of any man; when you deep your hand into it, you become guilty, a sinner and if you don't make restitution or obtain mercy through confession and reconnection with the redemptive power of Christ, you remain a sinner and you earn the ultimate wage which is death; not the death but eternal death as defined in the (Matt. 25:46; Mark 3:29; Hebrews 6:2; 2 Thess. 1:9; Matt. 18:8; 25:41; Jude 1:7).

A prominent Old Testament word describing God's grace is "Chesed". This word speaks of deliverance from enemies, affliction, or adversity. It also denotes ENABLEMENT, CAPACITY, DAILY GUIDIANCE, FORGIVENESS, and PRESERVATION. The New Testament word is "Charis". It focuses on the provision of salvation and not an elimination of sin.

Grace doesn't give you the license to go and continue in sin and remain blameless, it prevents you from stepping into sin when you come into close contact with it, enables you to step away and preserves you with knowledge. It gives you a new life and a refined understanding, a daily guidance on how to live like Christ without struggle. Grace is not defined for incessant pardon, it is engineered to preserve you in Christ and away from the capacity to sin.

You can stay away from sin, you can live a life of grace powered by god, remember what the apostle said in Phil 4:13

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

It's not hard too achieve this, me sef no holy pass but I understand this for one "Ore Ofe Saa Ni Mon Je".

Why spend so much billions to send a bot to Mars to search for life when we can't spare a dime to feed the life on earth?

Why so much money on research for guns, bombs and bullets when we can't seem to raise enough to cook a pack of noodles for the man on the street…?

Why leave the projects in pieces and put together a fighter Jet of billions of Dollar...?

Why leave the classrooms empty and the military bases filled with new explosives...?

why scream of terrorism when the walls of knowledge are down and bombs abound with morons in turbans and gowns around to blow away unsung because the life they live is meaningless and they see no reason why they shouldn't take more with them to heaven or hell?

Why run for the medals on the pitch while the race we run within is unending with rage and bitterness to win?

Why the talk of war when we can preach the gospel of peace and teach the earth to listen to it?

Why the reach for glory on the moon when the earth we know and own is torn and worn and all we have to blame for the carcass we bread is the Ozone layer and global warming?

Why create enemies that never existed just to be seen as strong and kill the sons and fathers and friends and patriots who fight for love of country, blinded by the love of God?...

Why hide the truth in lines of codes know to a few and broadcast the lies about life in all languages on CNN, BBC et al?

Why hide the beauty of Africa and show the world the slums of Zimbabwe, the Massai in Kenya, depicting the jungles of Zambia, the arid desert of Niger and Ajegunle in Nigeria as the real Africa?

Why not the plush temperate plateaus in Jos, the fat banks of Abuja that is daily robbed by the crown, the beautiful plains of J'burg and the beautiful heart of my mother?

Why show me the history of Africa as written by John Bull, James and Jill on paper and not the history of my rich heritage as written by Mazembe, Attah and Arogundade in my invaluable curios hidden behind bars and walls in Europe and not in my Palace and shrines where the wisdom that carved it needed it to be?

Why keep the Bronze head of Benin and the Jewels of the pyramids in the Museum of her majesty when the men you met on the "Cape of Hope" were primeval and only worth a peice of mirror?

Why is my history so precious so valuable, rare, unusual, and intriguing that you kept it a secret from me, never letting go and you have nothing to show for your untold wisdom than tales of destruction, death and pain brewed by your abandonment of nature that i daily preserve?.

Why are you now running back to the nature you destroyed?

God, can you still understand us here?

I grow up knowing that there's a place where any type if human can go for help and rescue

I look forward to going to church every Sunday

I would dance my heart out with no money in my pocket

I would go back home feeling so happy and fulfilled

But as I grow older, church becomes so different

It started looking like what I can't fathom

It becomes the more you give, the more familiar your face would become to the "man of God"

You give little you are known little

You have nothing, you mean nothing

Church becomes all about the clique you belong

It becomes so hard to have a church if you have no job because tithe has to be paid hence you are not yet a bonafide member

Those days you put money in the offering basket without even your left hand knowing what you give to GOD but now people give to "God" with their full names boldly written on it

Hmmmm! I am like

“Who is this accountability to God or Man of God?”

Hmmmm! God I just hope you still understand, at least that the world is now highly civilized and that everything has changed to the world standard and not the Bible's way

When you go to the club, everybody leaves without anyone back biting but now the church is the headquarter of gossips, each clique gossiping about another

God I hope you still understand?

Church has now become a weekly red carpet if you don't have those outstanding clothes, maybe you should consider doing your own service with your family at home

Church that I read about in the Bible

Is supposed to mend your broken life and help be the best in your walk with God but now consider bringing enough money if you need to even see the friendly side of the man of God

Most churches now teach you prosperity just for you to bring your tithe and if you do otherwise you are in the black book of the man of God

Every church has the interpretation of the bible according to their conveniences

God I just hope you still understand that the man of God needs to gather wealth?

Jesus, according to what we read in the bible, He always shield His people and provide for them in many ways but now the congregation must take the heat and shield the man of God

Man of God would collect money from politicians and command his congregation to vote for a preferred candidate because he would claim that God has told him to

Pride, preference, deceit, gossips, fornication, adultery, indecency and all countless evils now reside in the church yet the man of God can't see

He can only see the checks, the envelopes, the luxurious gifts and the "big men" in the church

That Building Is Not The Church

The Church is actually YOU

Let's do this real quick before people start calling me a pastor...I am not one and going by the current definition of that profession, I don't think I'll ever want to be one... Just like Jesus, call me Rabi.

I'm that kinda brother that has a weakness for everything God made, yes I'm totally natural but there is this thing with Hennessey VSoP that makes me assume it's natural, I guess it's the fact that I've convinced myself that what Jesus did was convert a normal "shayo" to the VSoP version of it in Canaan on that fateful day he launched His arrival with an induced miracle... Now I get it, the water was turned to a supernatural "shayo", now I know why, Hennessey VSoP must be supernatural.

Before I distract you away from why I choose to continue with my father's business today, must first of all clearly say this without fear of favour all over again God No Dey Live For Church #GodNoDeyLiveForChurch.

When Christ completed his redemptive mission here on Earth, He handed things over to the spirit form of the Godhead "The Holy Spirit" whose first interaction with his apostles was recorded in the upper room saga in the year of our Lord AD. When the outpouring of the spirit occurred, it was in a meeting well attended one and from the rumour recorded in ACT 2, it was witnessed by both Jews and the Gentiles, and I'm almost sure an Igbo man must have been dear interpreting when Peter started speaking in Igbo language. According to the acts recorded, the entrance of the Holy Spirit did not possess the building or the vessels present in the upper room, it entered into the apostles and manifested expressly in them for all to see. I'm almost sure that nobody went back to the upper room to offer some form of special prayers in it or use it as a point of contact or some form ritualistic shrine out of it for the Holy Spirit because they knew that God was in them and not in the building #GodNoDeyLiveForChurch

"The veil is torn, the stone is rolled, Hallelujah! Jesus has risen...". I'm sure nobody is worshiping in His tomb today.

The finished work of Christ broke the veil of the temple, revealing the former holy of holies to all and establishing the high priesthood of Jesus ultimately. 40 years after his death, the temple was destroyed as he had prophesied and the genealogy of the Levites were lost with it. It became obvious that he meant it when he terminated the contract that existed between God and the buildings of stone, concrete and clay that was instituted by God himself initially. The purpose of the temples and altars were for offering sacrifices of redemption and for burnt offerings for the atonement of sins, but when Christ redeemed all, the altar was no longer required, our High Priest had chosen a new temple which was and is still the heart of you and me, applicable to only those who open when he comes knocking.

If the temples were destroyed as an indicator of the end of the era of sin and sacrifices to usher in a new age that was won by the death and resurrection of Christ, why then are we still building temples, monument and cathedrals in the name of Jesus Christ? You're surprised? I am Flabberwhelmed and Overghasted. Even the early church and apostles were constantly in motion with no permanent building or kiosk, the meeting and fellowship was more important than the venue.

Why then do we build large span of brick, metal and mortar for the purpose of business and in the name of God, only opened when there is offerings to be receive, tithes to be demanded and once we are done, we put it under locks and keys while Jesus is locked out in the cold harley, wrapped in cardboard and begging for alms? He said in his words that "Whatsoever you do to the needs of thy brother, you have done it to me"

He reminded us of this days when he said "When I was sick, you didn't help me, when I was in Prison, you didn't visit me, when I was homeless, you locked your door on me and when I was hungry you didn't give me to eat" and we asked when did we did we do all this things and the answer is right above.

What is the purpose of a cathedral of 3km2 when Jesus is out in the cold desolate, what is the purpose of a church when his real temple, your heart lies in ruin, explain it to me, why build such a large dwelling and luck it up in the name of Jesus when he neither lives in it nor have any interest in it while the real church is abandoned to waste under the bridge in Oshodi.

God does not live in building made with hands, it was quite clearly stated in Acts 17:23-26 with reasons so there is absolutely nothing sacred about a church building or the more admonished altar, it was not built for God in the first place so you won't find Him living in any of such properties. You are the church, the house that God is building and he's only interested in living in your heart. 2Chro 2:6 says

"But who is able to build him an house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him an house, save only to burn sacrifice before him?"

Remember He what he said in Matt 18:19-20

"Again I say to you, that if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven. For where two or three have gathered together in My name, I am there in their midst."

and not.." wherever a multitude is gathered in an auditorium", all you need to declare heaven on earth is your neighbour or a friend and not a pastor. He will definitely honour His words when two or thousands are gathered in anywhere in His name whether canopy or auditorium, but when you are done, He's no longer there, He left with you and me and wherever the meeting is held is just a building that God has no spiritual or physical connection with #GodNoDeyLiveForChurch

Stop running to the mountains, He's already in you, stop rolling before any vane altar, you are His altar and temple, let's build a shelter for God by building homes for the homeless and the needy, that is the only time you are building a house for God. God does not live in Deeper Life camp, Redemption Camp, MFM prayer city, Canaan Land and co, #GodNoDeyLiveForChurch, if we really want God to live in those places, let's open it up for the homeless and those who cannot afford a plot in Haggai or Shiloh, that is when God will really move into camp. The only plot or altar he wants to live in is your heart.

The Definition and Purpose of Tithe

Well today is Monday and I'm out to get it done but before I do, I want to do my father's business a little more.

For those that have been defending their pastors opinion on the issue of tithing over the redemptive sacrifice of Christ after reading my post, I want to clarify some things before asking some very interesting question.

Do you know that the purpose of tithe is not for God to bless you or for supporting God's work but rather, it's an exercise of the law for showing that you "REGARD AND FEAR THE LORD YOUR GOD"

In Deut 14:23, the Bible clearly says EAT your tithe before the Lord SO THAT YOU CAN FEAR HIM.

In Deut 14:26 it repeated it again saying if you can't carry the cassava and cocoyam, convert it to money and use it to eat rice, drink wine and 'ogogoro' and you can even use it to carry 'ashewo' if you soul lust after one, at that point, you are covered because it's tithing.

In Deut 14: 27 & 29 it clearly says when your belly is full, you should remember the Levites (not a pastor because they have no inheritance among you) also the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow because they are really the ones in need.

Here are my questions and I need clear answers.

1. The Lord clearly says "Eat before Me so that you can fear Me" why are you not eating your tithe? That's direct disobedience! Isn't that telling God directly that "I DON'T REGARD OR FEAR YOU?"

2. Your excuse is that you cannot carry yam abi, fine, there is room to convert it to money but according to Lev 27:31 "If you want to buy back the LORD's tenth of the grain or fruit, you must pay its value, plus 20 percent." so that's now 30%. The interesting thing is that you must still eat everything before the Lord SO THAT YOU CAN FEAR HIM. That's 30%, so if you are bringing money, you should be presenting 30% that you must blow once on whatever your soul desire, Ogogoro included.

The question is "Have you been eating that 30% at once as the Lord instructed in the Bible?" If you haven't been doing that, do you know you've be telling God "I DON'T REGARD OR FEAR YOU"?

3. There are four set of people entitled to the leftover of your tithe eating exercise, The Levites, Stranger, Widow and Fatherless. Your pastor is obviously not a levite, even Jesus is not one. So if your pastor is not a helpless stranger, widow/widower, or orpahn, why is he the only one screaming the songs of tithe in cash. Why is your pastor the one raining fake curses and suspended prayers on the topic of tithe when he's not even entitled to it by any or all definition?

4. Lastly I will like to know, if your pastor had told you that tithing is just for you to show that you FEAR THE LORD and that no blessing is attached to it, will you be paying it?

Believe me, tithing is not an avenue to blessings, it is illegal in the body of Christ and any pastor that comes to preach Jesus to you and still ask you for tithe is a con-artist from the pit of hell, there are no better words to describe such a person. The fact that tithing is popular does not make it right.

Anyways, I am expecting your answers but before you do, remember this.

If you want to give your money to God, do it right, give it to the stranger, fatherless and the widow, I can guarantee you that God will receive it and credit your earthly and heavenly account with interest. If you want to support God's work here on earth, please do by supporting His missionaries and outreaches, not by donating to a church building that means nothing to Jesus and no effect on the kingdom of God. Don't Give That Conned Artist Your Money, God No Dey Collect Tithe Again.

If you go to church tomorrow, dance to the altar, singing and praising as you drop your money (earned or stolen) in the name of tithing, I just need to let you know that you'll be doing what the Yorubas describe as "Sanwo Mugu" aka "Sanwo S'ade Oyo" i.e you're dropping "Sara Money" into the account of some already rich dude.

Just so you know, your pastor is not eligible under any Biblical ordinance to receive, accept or collect tithe on behalf of God. According to the Bible, even Jesus Christ himself is not eligible to collect tithe because he's neither a Levite nor connected in any way to the levitical order, neither are his apostles and there is no record of any of them collecting one.

According to my Bible, Jesus ended the Levitical Order and became my High Priest. If my earthly and heavenly high priest in Jesus is not biblically eligible to collect tithe, who the 'eff is your pastor demanding such. If Jesus said the temple is no longer required and that it will be destroyed and it happened, how come this rent seekers are going around recreating what Jesus ended and died for so that you and I can be saved, are they not just telling you and me that "Jesus Died For Nothing"

Don't be deceived by miracles, it's not a sign of being connected to the throne of grace and mercy, it is just a manifestation of the spiritual in the physical and has nothing to do with being a man of God. Jesus made it clear that he will deny this lots when He returns (check Matt 7:22) so miracle is not the truth, the word of God is the truth.

A Levite is a man dedicated to the service of God, he has no inheritance and no claim to one and such men longer exist in the world of today, even in Israel that your pastors and bishops go for holy pilgrimages. If your pastor is not from Israel, not from the house of Levi, owns a car, a house and the plot of land housing the business centre called church belongs to him, let's call a spade a spade, HE'S A THIEF AND A LIAR.

If you doubt me, ask your pastor tomorrow, say it loud when you ask and use this exact words. "Sir, do the people of Israel, living in the holy lands of Galilee, Bethlehem and the likes pay tithe?". If he's not going to tell you another lie, his first answer should be a capital "NO", anything beyond that word is a way to find a way to cover up his lies about the money he's been stealing from you in the name of tithes and offering.

The only time your money gets to God is when you give to the poor, that is why He has blessed you with what you have not so that you can give to your pastor.

God no dey live for church, He doesn't need your tithe to bless you, He wants you to express his love to those who really need it and not those living fat on your miserable misery. Hear this my brothers and sisters... The book of Malachi was not written to you, it was written to Israel, the priest and levites... when your pastor is quick to open Mal 3:10, ask him or her, if those verses were addressed you or the priest and levites as it is indicated, read through Malachi and ask yourself, how is offering blind, lame or diseased animals for sacrifice applicable to me after Jesus already did the ultimate sacrifice with is life for me. When your pastors is quick to breeze to Mal 3:10, he's oppressing you and this is what the Lord has to say.

Prov 22:16-17 says: He who oppresses the poor to make more for himself Or who gives to the rich, will only come to poverty. 17Incline your ear and hear the words of the wise, And apply your mind to my knowledge

Do not be conned by this conned artist in suits, garments and robes. Study to show thyself approved, read the Bible like a novel and you will still the truth within, read it spirit filled and you will receive revelations through God's word.

If things are tight, use your brain, work, earn, grow. Paying tithe will never stop things from being tight... All those cock and bull story you hear about paying tight and experiencing financial explosion na cheap story. God does not need your incentives to bless you. Jara e!

My Xenophobic Reaction

I saw a video this morning of the xenophobic acts going on in South Africa (SA), it was horrific, totally unbelievable..the saddest moment of it was when a 12/13year old looking boy in high school uniform joined in the barbaric act of killing and maiming another, all in the name of xenophobia, an act worst that dementia because if it were dementia, it would have been milder and better. I would have shared the video but that will be more like glorifying this cultural madness that has plagued SA for so many decades and generations.

A few days ago, I read online that the statue of the icon of apartheid Cecil Rhodes was being removed from a SA university and I felt good about it, it was more like "alas' SA is finally redefining her identity" but I didn't see the xenophobic explosion following closely. Perhaps if it were attacks on the Brits and the Dutch nationals within, I would have tagged it retaliation or assumed it was fueled by the statue that was removed, but it amazes me that who my SA brothers have decided to kill and roast are their African brothers and that just blows my mind away, how on earth did SA as a community arrive at this point, what in hell or hell instigated #BlacksHateOnBlack (note: I'm not in support of the attack of anybody either black or white).

Over 360 Malawians have seriously been affected by xenophobic attacks in South Africa considering the size of their population in Durban where it all started some days ago, Congolese are not left out and considering the number of Nigerians in SA, I see myself as the real victim as a Nigerian. The crime of other Africans as reported by Some South Africans is that immigrants are taking jobs and opportunities away from them. The latest violence followed reported comments by Zulu King Goodwill Zwelithini, an influential figure among the Zulu ethnic group, that foreigners should “pack their bags” and leave. The king has since appealed for an end to the unrest, claiming he was referring to the group of immigrants that are constituting nuisance in SA. I'm sure he can explain that to the dead immigrants and SA victims in the morgue.

If I pretend that everything is well here in Nigeria, I will be lying to myself and I'm not so good at that. Just a few days ago, our own governorship aspirant in Lagos initiated a move that led to reactions from the royal father of Lagos and a counter reaction from my Igbo brothers, it all happened in the most cosmopolitan city in the whole of West Africa and perhaps the whole of Africa, and the reactions revealed the very obvious tribal lines that continues to divide Nigeria. I won't pretend because I can't pretend, Africa is divided but it is just sad that instead of respecting our differences and understand them, we eschew tolerance and grab guns and grenades without provocation. How do you "de-tribablize" or "de-ethnocize" our people, especially the ones in SA? Do we still have to blame the brutality of apartheid for this barbaric lynching of our brothers in the name of xenophobia? Even if we do and we hold it responsible for the barbaric nature of the average grown up South African (assumed), how did this 12/13year old boy learn the chaotic violent tendencies I saw him perpetrate in this video when he wasn't even alive when Mandela was President, he must have been taught. Africa is not united yet, even Nigeria is still divided and until we learn you unity, let us be atleast modern enough to peacefully chase our brothers away without spilling their bloods. Even animals deserve a better death than being burnt alive just because we are not South Africans.

I think I'm suffering from Xenophobia but not the SA kind of xenophobia and I will start the expression from my MTN line. I won't have nothing to do with DSTV after this last subscription even if I have to miss my favourite EPL Arsenal matches and no matter how cheap the beers go in Shoprite, I will stick with my shop perfect and do things only the Nigerian way. I will follow peace with all in the process but believe me, no matter what happens, I am disconnecting myself from anything that has to do with South Africa, the only thing I want from her is peace so I will ensure that my disconnect is a peaceful one. This will definitely affect even Nigeria, but a boycott to warn the country as an entity by the people and not the government will go a long way to pass the message.

Don't call my MTN line if you have it, I have a Glo line that is proudly Nigerian, perhaps to retain the integrity of my mobile identity, I'm porting this MTN line to Etisalat Nigeria, they've been supporting literary works and that's another reason for me to port beyond my xenophobia. My xenophobia is not born out of hate but correctional, it is out of the need to follow peace with all men, an attempt to avoid that which only takes away from me and still bite at my sincerity in all. It's no longer a symbiotic relationship and it must end before it ends me and the ones I love in the name of tolerance, love and co-existence.

I love SA just the way I love the USA, but I won't let the love I have for my dear African brothers hurt and maim me while I hold tight has life is snuffed out of you and me. The only thing I want from the SA I love is for her to spare the brothers and sisters we share with the Nigerian, Ghanian, Congolese, Malian, Kenyan, Ethopian... and other African identity within her walls until they can leave her turf and let her live in isolation in her world. The value they created Zuma and their xenophobic king should be back, value has been created so it must be exchanged for same so they can leave and continue their own lives. All I beg for is for her to let my Nina and her loved ones come home in one piece and in peace of mind, I don't want to shed no tears, neither do I pray for teary lonely years filled with the thoughts of the ones I love that were lost to the inhuman identity of the South Africans.

I remember that Africa and Nigeria for one once fed, clothed and stood by SA during apartheid, Nigerians died to free SA and Nigeria even placed sanctions on European and American Countries that supported apartheid so it's interesting to see South Africa repay Africa in such good measures. This is not the first time this is happening in South Africa and it won't be the last. I'm not asking anyone to join me in my xenophobic boycott, I'm acting alone for the rest of Africa, North West, East or South. I love Africa and I hope that someday soon, we will see ourselves as brothers beyond tribes, ethnic group, regions or colour. I'm black and super excited about it, I am human and that's the ultimate for me…being human in all its form.

I will like to start this conversation with a statement from Jimi Agbaje so that we all understand the direction of this conversation. It is important we understand the lies in order for us to appreciate the truth.

Jimi Agbaje said:

We must have ways of transferring expertise over time. We must not substitute the role of our Civil Service. I have said NO to the toll on the VI-Lekki-Epe axis because the PPP arrangement has been terminated and this project has been paid for in full and then some. On the issue of the people of Ikorodu, my opponent tends to think that the government has already done "more than enough for the people of Ikorodu". And you call this progressive? Far from it."

Now lets talk a bit about these issues:

Alpha Beta as a consultant started with the Lagos State Government, due to its ability to deliver it has been contracted to consult for 22 out of the 36 States in Nigeria including the Federal Government and Government of other African countries. The beauty of relationship of Alpha Beta with even PDP States that are now APC is that it started while they were still PDP States.

Jimi Agbaje has been rambling and rumbling about Alpha Beta Consulting and I believe it is out of share naivety and inability to project any valuable or tangible idea that he's been putting up his fight against a privately owned business that is not only servicing The Lagos State Government but 22 states in Nigeria including Federal Government parastatals. If Alpah Beta has been so much disservice to Lagos, how come more of his colleagues in the PDP are paying heavily to secure the service of the same company.

If you are supporting Jimi Agbaje because of his big English, have a rethink, they are filled with big rubbish and bold cluelessness. Alpha Beta is working with even Fayose of Ekiti state and he's not complaining, Jimi's ideas are not bold but rather born out of gluttony and fantasy. The role of the Civil Service can never be subverted by consulting professionals to get results, the vested interest he's clamouring to end is the fuel in the engine of his own campaign.

There is no denying that Tinubu owns interest in the company, he's a businessman before becoming a governor for crying out loud and this is a private business that works across board for governments, business and other nations in Africa, the lie is the way they present it. How can a so-called learned Jimi Agbaje with bold ideas come out and tell you Alpha Beta is milking Lagos when thesame Alpha Beta is employed by 21 other states, mostly PDP States because they did a wonderful job working with The Lagos State Government. Maybe he should just say Tinubu is milking Nigeria and Ghana because that's how it appears to me.

On the issue of vested interest, let's ask Jimi Agbaje to tell you how he's funding his campaign, obviously not from his one-branched drug store. This is our first opportunity to take Lagos out of being an opposition since 1991 when the FCT was moved to Abuja, it is our real opportunity to see Lagos work efficiently with the centre to produce value, it is our opportunity to birth a total CHANGE and grow Nigeria cohesively.

The Bold Man That Lacks Ideas-- Jimi Agbaje

Just thinking out loud about this man here that has been screaming bold ideas all over Lagos without a single example of where he's exhibited the capacity to implement a single idea not to now talk of bold ones.

Jimi Agbaje claims to have bold ideas... that he will use to make Lagos better than what the Jagabanians have done with her in the last 16 years but I choose to ask some very sane questions and lay out verifiable fact.

Jimi Agbaje as a pharmacist and business man has owned the JayKay Pharmacy for like 30 years now like he proudly claims, anyone that hears about the JayKay Pharmacy will immediately assume it's some big booming business because the owner is in such lime light that could have been from business success but the truth is that is not so true, the JayKay Pharmacy is a single branched business that had not grown beyond the spot it started from 30 years ago.

Jaykay Pharmacy Limited located at 9,Randle Cescent, Apapa has been one of the most dormant pharmaceutical outfit in this state in the last 30 years, it has neither grown in size nor capacity as a business and it has been managed and owned by the same man that is now promising to use BOLD IDEAS to take Lagos to the next level, I wonder where those bold ideas are coming from or where we can see the effect and efficacy of his BOLD IDEATION so that we can related them to what he'd claimed the can do. I intentionally posted the address for those who want to go see the tired looking business this brave man called Jimi Agabje has been managing without success. Don't mind me though, the business has grown from what we call "CHEMIST" here in Lagos to a "SUPER MARKET". It has grown from just Phensic and Daga store to a place where you can get herbal drugs like "Ruzu" and "Swedish Bitters" and for those that want it stronger, yes you can buy "Orijin" in big bottles there now. Sorry I forgot, he also manufactures pharmaceutical products like Methylated Spirit and Mouth Wash but I heard the factory is in Otta and it parked up not too long ago because of production challenges related to power.

The truth about Jimi Agbaje is that he's a largely an average business man who has only been able to use his professional identity and influence of his father who was the first local bank director in Nigeria to garner wealth through business and political affiliation and not trade or direct business success.

I have no candidate for you, I just want you to know who you want to handover your vote to if you've chosen to vote Jimi Agbaje. Take a look at what he's managed for over 30 years... (since 1982), see the growth pattern and compare it with all the things he has promised to do in 4 or 8 years. Don't allow him lie to you that it's lack of resources, it is pure lack of ideas for growth, if he needed loans at all, he would have gotten access to that in GTB without a limit or tab on how much... even with his status, he could get a loan to buy a jet, not even accessing loan to expand his business is out of dearth of ideas.

For those of you that have connected vocal eloquence and good oratory capability to ability to deliver the false promises, take a look back and see if any of the promises made by our PDP politicians in the past had been fulfilled at all "Enu Dun Rofo". Modernization Vs. Westernization

I remember as a child, my interest in literature was insatiable in so many ways.. I read all the books I could lay my hands on without any care if it was rated or not, anything in print was so pleasant and from the day I discovered how to check the meaning of words from a dictionary, I became unstoppable. Somehow I found my way into my dad's small library, and I took pleasure in stealing a book at a time without permission (I never really needed any). I was in primary school when I stumbled on a book on "How To Get Rich In The 80s", the rules are still the same now, only the years have changed. I'm not working with the rules yet and that's really not important for now though… There was this particular book that I'd found much earlier, it was suppose to be a children book but it was hidden away in the book rack, and because we were more busy listening to "Alo" the African folktales that were filled with tortoise, Santa wasn't really important to us until December. I read the book anyways, it was titled "The Year Santa Went Modern" written by Richard Armour in 1964 and the pictures were drawn by Paul Galdone. I read it in the early 90s though, not 1964… "I never old reach that level".

The book was all about how Santa discovered the magic of shaving, and how it transformed his identity and lifestyle from a permanent North Polar to a man that could come out in summer without being noticed, and the beauty of his embrace of this modern transformation didn't make him loose his identity, he remained Santa, and he still lives in the North Pole with his white beard hanging on a reindeer horn, waiting to be strapped on in Winter. The story was a perfect definition of modernization.

According to my dictionary, modernization is the act of modernizing; the state of being modernized. It refers to a model of a progressive transition from a 'pre-modern' or 'traditional' to a 'modern' society. In sociology, it is the transformation from a traditional, rural, agrarian society to a secular, urban, industrial society, it is a change in societal tendencies, an embrace of growth, new ideas and technology, it is an appreciation of modern development and culture and not a total loss or change of identity. Westernization on the other hand is "to convert to the customs of Western civilization." I hope you noticed the difference "embrace", "transition", "convert".

Modernization can be likened to a rich Ijebu King who own plenty horses and chariots and on one of his business travels, comes in contact with an automobile. He sits down to understand the ability of an automobile, the advantages and disadvantages over riding chariots and learns how to drive it. He buys one and uses it to make long distance travels, knowing that it could break down and he learned how to keep it going. He keeps his horses and uses them for short distances and for his pleasure rides around his community. His horses become classic and his automobile gives him a new status and identity. Just like on the back of his horses, he uses his "pako" (chewing stick) behind the steering wheels and wears his Agbada and Baba Riga behind the wheels as well. Sometimes he tries those fitting shirts he got has gifts from the dealer on the back of his horses and they do just fine. After all he's now an Ijebu man that drives a car, the fact remains that he's an Ijebu man so owning a car should not stop him from chewing a pako, and no matter how sophisticated he gets, his princes will never be entitled to the throne of England so he drives his car and pours libation to the gods of his father in stainless steel bowls and drinks his palm wine in calabashes. When the car breaks down and it can't be fixed immediately or needs a part in town, he rides into town with his horses and chariot, gets the needed part and gets his automobile back to work.

Westernization on the other hand can be likened unto an Ekiti King who owned many horses and on a journey, he comes in contact with an automobile. Out of excitement, he exchanges his horses for the automobile without thinking that his horses were valuable enough to earn him the new discovery. He learns how to drive only after trading his horses in and quickly drives back to his kingdom, killed what remains of his stable, turned it to a garage and uses the skin of the horses to design his new car park. Because he now drives an automobile, he throws out his pako and drives around in his ride with toothbrush in mouth and saliva dripping from the corner of his lips. He bans the use of horses throughout his kingdom and throws out all of his local garbs, wearing only the white silk shirt he was given by the automobile dealer until he was ragged and yet he never relented. He thought to himself, "the wisdom of making an automobile is worth worshipping" and he did until it broke down, and there was no way to get to town to get the parts for fixing it.

He must fix is new god so he embarks on a journey back to town in his dead automobile. He puts his sons and men in front with ropes, using them as horses pulling and tugging while he sits in the dead cart as they pull along. Surprisingly on arrival in town, he was greeted by the son of his auto dealer on the back of one of the horses he traded for his automobile. His sons looked tattered with blisters on their foot from pulling a dead automobile with ropes, he looked more miserable in his white silk turned brown as saliva drips down the corner of his mouth and he cleans it with the collar of his silk shirt. The son of the dealer welcomes him and announces that his sister was getting married, he took them in, gave them a change of clothing and invited them to the wedding not as princes but as guests. They arrived at the venue, only to find the bride in heavily pleated "Aso Oke" with beads on her neck, and the groom in a black suit, a perfect blend of what they had and what the dealer had thrown away. That is westernization, it is the assimilation of Western culture; the social process of becoming familiar with or converting to the customs and practices of Western civilization without caution, throwing away our own traditional and cultural heritage without a total understanding of the new culture we are converting to.

Western culture in itself is the amalgamation of diverse languages, culture and tradition for centuries without destroying the background from which it evolves. Asian countries are far ahead on the development curve compared to African countries, their growth and development is divinely etched into their culture and tradition, and their technology is totally developed around their identity with their language and belief written all over every stride they make. China is modernized and not westernized, that is why America is on the list of her debtors, Nigeria is westernized and not modernized, that is why we are on the debt list of any western nation you can think of. The Middle East is modernized not westernized, that is why her culture is preserved on the path of jaw dropping growth and unimagination development. Westernization is slavery. Modernization is freedom! Modernization is the real reason why the queen still wears a crown!

It is share stupidity for any society to throw out its own culture and tradition in the name of westernization, there is room enough for evolving and modernizing, for embracing new ideas, and preserving the old. Don't westernize my friends, modernize like Santa did, cut your beard, shed your cloak and keep them fresh so that you can enjoy summer without a wedge. Winter is coming and when it comes, you will need your old cloak and white beard again or else, the old magic of the sledge will be gone and there will be no Christmas.

Dear Jimi Agbaje you want us to vote for Goodluck Jonathan so that the likes of Edwin Clarke can continue their "Tea Party" but you want to end the tea party of BAT. You agreed that we raised valid points in our argument and you spoke very good but elusive grammar and gave no answers to this valid points. With all due respect Mr. Jimi Agbaje your mediocrity is "Gangsta", permit me to use that word.

You keep making reference to Afenifere and Pa. Abraham Adesanya, but you yourself "O fewa fun ire". Please point us in the direction of one thing, one position, one service that you've dutifully rendered to the people of Lagos that can get your a recommendation like Pa LK Jakande did.. infact that argument of yours only gives credence to the candidacy of Akinwunmi Ambode. He probably served so well in the civil service just the way Jakande did as an editor and he got the nod of the real Afenifere's in Lagos State to come and be the governor.

I know you have no answers to the questions about the likes of corruption of GEJ led government that's why you used a proverb on Channels about pointing fingers and four fingers pointing back, just imagine that it's a leper that is pointing, everything is definitely very defined then. Have you ever sat Koro down to really find out why he's so evil and yet still rallying round you to give you support.. I know the answer, it's because there is no truth in you, just scam and lies.. You evaded all questions on Channels Television with grammars and proverbs, you chose to avoid points that even you agreed are valid points raised by Tokunbo Abiodun Oduyiga with an invalid, long epistle and you still want us to believe you are for us? Late Pa Abraham Adesanya was neither a president nor a governor but he was an influence in almost every decision that affected the lives of Yoruba's in Nigeria. What decisions that affect the lives of Lagosians in the last 8years has your input in it Mr. Jimi Agbaje? if you can't wave any wand of influence from the outside, you need no business getting on the inside because judging by every parameter of where you are now (PDP) you won't be in control of anything.. like i said in a response i shared on your page earlier,

Beyond the Civil Service in Lagos State, businesses attached to Tinubu employs more than 20000 Lagosians and I have proof and that's outside of the Civil Service and ministries.. Atiku Abubakar is the biggest employer of Labour in Nigeria as an individual, he employs more Nigerians than even the Dangote Group and I have proof as well, he's not even as rich as Dangote, or Adenuga and the likes on paper but he's probably the highest employer of labour in Africa as an individual... please tell us ooo, with all the looting and stealing of GEJ, Diezani, Okonjo, Edwin Clarke, Bode George and co, what businesses do they do within Nigeria and how many Nigerians do they employ, not the thugs they carry around.... even at that, Tinubu feeds the street more than all of them combined, ask Koro and Aeroland, they are on your team, they know better.

If you are a true Afenifere, your concern will be more about the lives of Yorubas and others either in the North or the South South in the case of either of the candidates loosing because their will always be fracas and not trying to arm-twist Nigerians to voting a failed PDP government. I got home this morning and my mum was eager to tell me that my Church, St. Patrick Catholic Church, Ipaja is erecting a new Church building and their is call for people to come and buy pillars... I looked at her with my very custom "really" look and I kindly told her "that's nice o, just make sure they cast my name on the pillar, I am not interested sha..; I even told her.. "mum, abeg make others build and buy pillar, I am the house that God is building".

I remember something similar happened years ago in church. I mistakenly pulled MY headphone plug from my phone and the 2Face music I was playing filtered into the air inside the church at Covenant Christian Centre, Yaba.. One of the girls (name withheld) looked at me and said "2Face inside church building?" I looked at her with pity and said, "my dear, any song I can't listen to in the church, I don't listen to it at home". and I plugged my headphones back and continued my solo dance along.. it was during practise sha, not during service ooo.. lol! I be God pikin

In the Old Testament, when God commanded the Tabernacle to be built,it was a place for God to dwell with the people. The people did not meet inside the Tabernacle. Only the priests entered the Tabernacle. The people met together and worshiped God outside under the open sky. They never entered the Tabernacle or later the Temple.

It is simple and clear, God want a poor and a contrite spirit, one that trembles and fear Him and obey His words, but our pastors are busy teaching us to be arrogant and disobey God's word, putting us to build structures that is their own private properties "In The Name of Jesus Christ" when Jesus is described as "the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: 22 In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit." according to Ephesians 2:19-22.

Here me oh! my people... When Daddy G.O. makes that call that he needs you to come and donate to the construction of a new 3x3 km auditorium, did he back the call with Acts 7:48-51, Isaiah 66:1-2 and Ephesians 2:19-22. so that you will know you are contributing to the building of his own personal estate and not the House of God which is you because God does not live in buildings made of stone and steel.. if he didn't, (I was in RCCG camp when he made the call) that establishes the fact that the building he's building is not the house of God but a centre for collecting tithes and offering, a design for ripping off emotional religious wrecks like una. I've shared the truth about tithes and offering before, I will be glad to share it again soon.

I am not saying don't go to church or mosque, it is exciting to gather together in a place to listen and learn about the Gospel truth and praise God, but 90% of the ones I know and those that I've been to in my life are factory of lies and they just happen to have the biggest fellowship and followership you can dream of. Plenty many mumus being taught lies and back with the bigger lies, "touch not my anointed"... You are the anointed my people. Read Psalm 105:12 to the end and you will see that Canaan is your inheritance, not God's house and you are the anointed that must not be touched... Too bad you've all been beaten blue black.

To My Brothers In The South of The South of Nigeria

This is to my brothers in the South of South of Nigeria, to those who have been asking the questions that need no answer but must be answered.

Your position on the current power tussle in Nigeria is well understood, your claims are normal of a people who has been denied access to the wealth generated from their door step, but your stand and approach are rather unbelievable.

it is unimaginable that anyone would claim that Goodluck Jonathan is being denied a second term, that the South is being denied access to power and that it is the turn of the South to rule, forgetting that in the last 16 years in Nigeria, the South has ruled for 14 bad years, 8 years from the west of the South and 6 years from the South of South of the Nigerian federation.

To answer the simplest of our question... GEJ has not been denied a second term right, in fact he got it on a platter of gold without any visible opposition from within his party, but it is so said that he's the wrong card to play at this minute of the game.

It is not the right of any Nigerian, ethnic group or tribe to be in power for 8 years, infact there are constitutional provisions for impeachment, a pointer that winning is not a guarantee for completing a single term, if you break the rules stipulated in the constitution, you can be impeached after a weak in power in a functioning legislative swoop, no Nigerian is above the constitution, and neither is it stated that a group, party, region, tribe or religion must be in power for '8 Years', if it were so, a GEJ will probably just be getting the first shot at the sit of power; a northerner would have replaced the late Yar Adua and the rest will be history.

If ethnic paths are to be towed, we wouldn't have stood up for GEJ in 2009 when Yar Adua died, we would have allowed the PDP northern agenda to thrive, but because Nigeria is bigger than any tribe or ethnic group, we stood up for the rule of law and installed GEJ as our president, more of the reason I am surprised the South of South is crying foul for 4 more years when our representatives had failed for 14years of it. Our fight in 2009, led to the eventful mistake we made in 2011 by voting for GEJ, hoping he will become better and perhaps redeem Nigeria and more importantly the south of South he came from, but instead of embracing the trust vested in him, he embrace mediocrity and corruption, the same elements that are now militating against his return to a sit he could have won with songs of praises.

GEJ has not given any Nigerian (right thinking Nigerian) a single reason he should be allowed more than the wasteful 6years he's spent already, he is by all definition the first democratically elected President in Nigeria since the "Hope 93", but he is also by far the heaviest nightmare that had plagued the greater Nigeria dream.

It is very uncivilized to perceive the role of the president of a country as a spot that should be filled based on ethnicity, religion or duration/term, the only sane measure should be values, guided by the provision of the constitution and the right judgment of the people inspired by God. In my books of definition for all of this listed elements, GEJ or PDP lacks any value that merits such a position or statute. I am "manically bewildered" that anyone in his/her right senses will push forward something as lame as "he should be allowed to complete a second term" as an argument for his re-election. Such dumb assertion can only be likened to a situation where people caught a man raping your daughter, only for you to arrive at the scene and tell them to allow him ejaculate first because that's the climax of sex. Nigeria is currently a rape victim, the south is perpetually the target of the rape and it is quite unimaginable that it is the fathers of this daughter that are begging the rapist to thrust harder until he reaches climax because he's a son of the soil.

We need to jump out of this bonded "Entitlement Mentality", nobody is entitled to the presidency because of some stupid ethnicity, party affiliation or religious belief, we need to break away from it.. Nigeria deserves leaders not mediocre that believes it's their turn. We won't grow unless we become seeds, allowing our shell (religious, political, tribal etc) to rot so that we can sprout a new leaf and live a better life in a better country.

Perhaps the South of South should have sat to think and present a better representative, not one who has failed and doesn't even know he's a failure, maybe the south would have stood a better chance. The south needs a rethink, crude oil is not enough reason for any of us to throw away our values. We must reshuffle our deck, what we have in our hand now in GEJ is a joke and not a joker, with the approach we are taking, the chances are that we will crash even before takeoff.

Imagine if GEJ was presenting a dossier of what he's done in 6 years instead of promises of what he will achieve in 4, wouldn't that be a better call. Anyways, I will rather vote for the KOWA party than any of this entitlement driven political parties, they are all jokers.

DEAD WEIGHTS AND FALSE HOPE

I discovered that my ATM card was missing a few days ago and I started looking for it frantically, not because I had money to withdraw from the account, but because I am used to having it in my cardholder, just not seeing it there had some effect on me that I was missing something important...and for days now, I'm still searching for it, I am almost sure it wasn't stolen, I can't remember being robbed of it...

I woke up yesterday 28/01/2015 to another one, my phone was blown-out from the charging port, probably a result of power surge from changing over power supply. I tried turning it on but the screen flickered and bang! it went cold, never to respond again... I was like God, how will I survive without a smart phone. I searched my drawers for a spare battery that I'd always kept, hoping it was just a battery thingy but I couldn't even find the precious spare, I almost went into a rage, wondering why is all of this happening then something bigger came to me in my frantic search, I found two of my former dead phones in one of the drawers I was scouring through and unconsciously i told myself "why you dey worry sef, you go buy another one when you get kudi". I dropped the newly dead phone in my pocket and headed to work, hoping it will reset someone and come back to life.

By the time I got to the office, a million and one things had gone through my mind that I couldn't even remember the phone was in my pocket, it was until i pulled it out again that I remembered I was holding a very dead burnt smart phone. I pulled out a charger from my desk was like "let's try again", I didn't finish hitting the power button on the phone before I saw the smoke and a popping sound, I quickly turned it off and unplugged and somehow something within me dropped two phrases that literarily defined the way things are in Nigeria today, two things that we ignore by creating a cloak of sanity in our insanity, yes our political indemnization... "False Hope" & "Dead Weight", two powerful phrases that works hand-in-hand to guarantee that Nigeria is thrown in utter darkness without anybody being held responsible for her woes.

Before I proceed, I will like to sight a political example, a perfect precedence for what Nigerians are satisfied with at first and then decry in the loudest of voices from their comfort zone when it is obvious that they are responsible for their woes.

The Esama of Benin, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the father of the former Governor of Edo State came begging in 2002 that his son Lucky Igbibedion should be given a second chance to fail again, in his words; If a child fails a particular class in the academic world, he's suppose to repeat the class and pass. The people of Edo accepted his gospel of "false hope" knowing that Lucky will always be Lucky and they carried the dead weight for another four years.

The totality of our polity in Nigeria since the death of Military rule has been filled with "Dead Weights" preaching the gospel of "False Hope" on the altar of our democracy. The doors of democracy opened in 1999 to an army of dead weights dropping in from our past to take over our present, and define the not so distance future we are in today. It's been 16 years already and they are still here. The dead weights were the heavy weights when the doors were opened and they got heavier, so heavy that they can't move on their own. The sad end of their heaviness and immobility is that they appeared to be stuck on our leadership sledge, and unlike Santa that brings good tidings and good will to all men, the magic that moves the sledge without the reindeer feeling the weight, our own dead weight politicians preach false hope and with no magic to wave at us, and yet we pull their weight like reindeer, hoping that their falsehood will turn even, although we are sure it won't. It is sad that we know we have the power to drop our dead weights and ride free, but still we cling to their false hope without dignity, defending their deadness with phrases like "dry bone shall rise again", pouring water on dead concrete slabs, waiting for it to sprout a leaf, a surface that we all know cannot be dug to plant a seed.

Back to the matter, the real reality we deal with today… the truth about our status as a nation in the hands of our ruling identity, the PDP, the dead weight that has nothing but false hope in it.

For the last six years of our existence as a nation, the ruling party at the Federal and State level (considering the ratio at state level) has been an institution that has paraded very heavy dead weights, false hope and a very robust accentuation of deceit. From Obasanjo to Gbenga Daniel, Sule Lamido to the local government chairman in the remotest part of Kogi State. I will start from the identity of our current presidential element and the truth.

I found a statement credited to the president, a statement that formed an essential part of his campaign manifestos in 2010/2011 and this was repeated in more than one address. Jonathan said: "I remember the day I was chatting with a group of elders and they said after the war there was electricity everywhere, they travelled out and so on. "I came to live in Port Harcourt in 1955". Even then, it was only Port Harcourt that had electricity, even the big city, Bonny does not have. But now, government must make sure even the smallest village and settlements have electricity".

Beyond the fact that those words were empty promises that created false hopes, it bares the lies that presents his identity as a dead weight . How come somebody that claims 1957 as his official birth year would say "I came to live in Port Harcourt in 1955"? It is clear evidence that Jonathan actually falsified his real age before joining the civil service to work in his advantage. Perjury in the highest office in the land but still we hold unto this dead weight and naturally our chant is " that's how everybody in the service change their age", my answer is that is why Nigeria is where she is today.

Odili as the Governor of Rivers state invited the president to commission the same bridge and road twice from the two different ends, Obasanjo found out and it was kept a PDP thing. The good news is that the multi-billion naira bridge collapsed 2 years later and neither Odili nor the builders are in jail. He was even in the same town to commission a fake power plant between the second christening of the same bridge, the commissioning was lighted with a generator kept miles away from the commissioning point, Dead weights, False Hopes, Lies, Deception, the hallmark of our PDP government. The irony of those years was that Obasanjo was never in Lagos to commission a single project, not because none was happening, it was simply because he was at war with BAT, he even tried selling off all federal presence in Lagos, including the National Theatre in Iganmu.

Since PDP arrived, "they have awarded Enugu-Onitsha express way to contractors on different occasions, including recently through SURE-P, YET the road is moribund", worst than it was under even the dreaded Abacha. Sand and gravels which are meant for the road project are dumped on one lane and they are already overgrown by weeds and probably home to wild life initially leaving across the road. According to us, we hold unto false hope, we give it to the dead weight "they need more time".

Our sitting President has earned a perfect dead weight status by not only continuing the PDP streak that was almost redefined by his predecessor but for ill-health, he is currently the champion at it. He's surrounded by heavier dead weights and to cap it all, he's got no hope to offer, false or true. The President has been more evasive in both falsehood and deceit and the hall mark of his administration has been the loss of lives and properties, and a vehement approach of blaming everybody that dare to complain or advise from outside his circle of being either the sponsor or directly responsible for everything that goes wrong while he's responsible for nothing, a monumental case of dead weight with no hope in sight. As usual, we are behind him in drones, ready to vote for him again, our chant as usual, "he's a Christian", "It's the South South's turn", "He's trying" as if he was elected to pastor a church, represent the south or try.

I choose not to list the failing of my dead weight president beyond the facts that I've laid out, even those of us clamouring for the so-called continuity, I will like to ask, what exactly do you want him to continue? This question is for the sake of clarity of purpose, what do we want GEJ to continue? The death, insecurity, corruption or ineptitude in leadership or lack of sense of direction? Until I get a million answers to these simple questions, I will assume that we ready to pull this dead weight called PDP upon us again, knowing fully-well that there is only false hope, no light at the end of any tunnel because indeed, PDP is not a tunnel, but a circular pit that leads to nowhere.

I Ate My Tithe

Before you read this, please grab a Bible because you will need it to confirm the truth. I got to writing this today after reading the post my brother Williams JFK titled "Men Of God Nigeria Plc" .

I learnt the truth about tithing and giving a while ago but I am surprised this just gave me a profound reason to reshare it. I will continue to share it for as much as I can and I hope that we as humans can jump out of the cloak of religion and embrace the truth of the word of God. Before I proceed, I will like to remind you that Jesus is not a Christian so I don’t call myself one (be the judge of that). Jesus is not a respecter of men; in fact, he dealt heavily with the pastors of old aka Pharisees so it is my duty today to do the same. I don’t fear position or people, I fear God and I speak the truth of his word. Don’t jump to 1 Chr 16:22 start reading from the first verse and you will see that the anointed the Bible referred to were the Children of Israel aka You and I and not your Pastor so when you hear “Touch Not My Anointed”, remember this, God is talking about me, NOT YOUR PASTOR. I hope you are with your Bible.

What your pastors have been telling you about tithing and giving is just pure lies...My brother, you've been scammed heavily. God did not ask you to bring money as tithes, he never did, and in fact the Bible categorically instructed that when you convert your tithe to money, EAT IT. I use to pay tithes too; I believed their lies heavily but hey! I found the truth somehow.

I started with reasoning. Why should I give my money to a pastor that has his own business, a business he probably started with our money...is my Pastor a Levite? NO! Is he or she a widow or destitute? NO! so why should I share my tithe with him because those are the people God instructed me to share my tithe with...and that's if I choose to tithe sef.

Let me give you some background.

In Gen 14:20... Abram gave Melchizedek 10% of the spoil he took when he defeated Chedorlaomer and the kings who were with him and gave the remaining 90% to the king of Sodom without taking anything.... He didn't give his money or profit or anything from his livestock, he gave them the spoils of a war he won and he did that only once, not every month or every year, just once in his life time.

If any pastor comes to you screaming "Abraham gave a tithe of all" tell him you have not won a war recently... so there is no spoil to share.

If you think I’m wrong, read your Bible yourself and stop waiting for your pastor to read it for you. If you want to know why I eat my tithe, I will tell you, the Bible instructed tithers to eat it.

Read Deut. 14 from verse 22 to the end.

Jesus didn't ask me to pay tithe, the only time he mentioned tithe in the bible, he was scolding the Pharisees for ignoring the weightiest matter of all which is Godliness. Jesus does not need my 10%, he needs me, HE owns me 100% and HE does not need my money... If HE owns you, then he owns everything you have because HE gave YOU in the first place.

The truth is not what your pastor says; the truth is in the Bible. I don't pay tithes anymore, in fact I don't work under any law because I am not cursed. God does not bless you because you paid your tithe; he blesses you because he wants you to be a blessing to others and he doesn’t need your tithe to do that. Don't be scared; don't let anyone bamboozle you with Malachi 3:10... If you allow that part of the Bible to be used to trick you into paying into their kalokalo, then Jesus must have indeed died for nothing because when He died, be paid a debt and when He rose, you became God's temple... Stop living like you are cursed.

The temple was a building during the days of Malachi; you are the temple in the Kingdom established by Christ... Now the role is reversed, the pastors are the ones saddled with the duty of filling God's temple with the truth of the word of God, they owe God the truth, the owe him the duty of telling his people the truth which is the word of God and they are the ones robbing God by telling you lies about tithing, they are the ones robbing God and they are the ones under a curse.

Read your Bible, eat your tithe, I eat my tithe and I GIVE, that's what my Bible told me... EAT your tithe, stop feeding people that already have pot belly, don't let anyone play the emotional card on you. Study to show yourself approved, know the truth, it will set you free. EAT YOUR TITHE.

PS: For those that will like to quote Leviticus 27, please read it from the beginning before you quote wrongly. Only land owners are expected to even tithe as defined in Leviticus, and it's suppose to be from the produce of their land.. so how come tenant dey pay tithe in our own interpretation of tithe?

Letter To Goodluck Jonathan in Response To His Claims of Increasing The Life Expectancy of Nigerians

Dear Mr. Goodluck Jonathan,

It is with a very sore heart that I read your uncultured, and blatant expression of stupidity on your official Facebook page a few minutes ago, I could have ignored it as one of your supposedly manipulative but fangless campaign moves, but the heaviness it bored in my heart would not allow me puff past this demeaning expression of yours. It's a slap in our face and I'm not going to turn another cheek, I am hitting back.

I will be hitting the nail straight on the head so you will know that you and your media team or whoever you've kept in charge of your publicity are only digging your grave beyond you losing your the presidential election this coming February.

How on earth can you come out on a global platform and claim that you have succeeded in increasing Nigerian's Average Life Expectancy to 54 years from 47 years when in thesame period of five years, you have succeeded in giving away the lives of over 20000 Nigerians to extremist by ignoring your primary responsibility of defending and protecting Nigeria as a whole, to defend and protect the Ijaw community instead? We know it is your 'Oil' and 'Oil Money' but atleast protect the nation so you can have a good front for your continuous stealing spree, and not assume that everybody that criticize you is an enemy.

If I may ask, how do you wake up in the morning and swallow 'Fufu' with your foul mouth and horrible looking face, knowing that Nigerian Soldiers are out there dying and still defending the territorial integrity of Nigeria without being equipped enough for the job just because we don't have guns and grenades but because you've become an Ijaw Warlord, with interest in only the South South Army of Dokubo and Navy of Tompolo instead of being the C'in'C of our armed forced?

How do you wake up in the morning without having death wishes when you remember that hundreds of girls in Shekau's captivity, and they could have been any of your adopted or biological daughters? Or is that Olukolade told you they've rescued every woman and girl child that was kidnapped before and after the Chibok girls saga? If he did, he's been lying again... the hundreds are still in captivity.

I saw the images of what your co-president Shekau of the Borno caliphate shared just yesterday, he didn't only claim responsibility for Baga, he showed us some of his artillery, his arsenal, his personal war chest of weapon.. do you as a president have a single barrack that can boast of thesame Arsenal? It is even sad that 90% of this weapons were seized from Nigerian Military according to Shekau's speech in his last video, and he even conceded that our Army can wipe them out but that we are only cowards, So how do you go to sleep at night, knowing that your colleague in warlordship Shekau has more guns and grenades supplied to him by you and your senior military officers, Oh! I forgot, your boys in the creeks have more guns, grenades and war boats too, so you are sure you can sleep in peace in Otueke atleast.

Dear Goodluck Jonathan, I am indeed worried, not for my safety or your safety, but I am seriously disturbed about your sanity. It is scary and staggering, almost unbelievable that a supposedly lettered (not educated) individual with your experience and exposure can come out and present "life expectancy" as an achievement of your failed administration in a country that has lost tens of thousands of her citizens to your carelessness. Imagine if the 20000 that we've lost can live happily to the age of 47 and die a natural death, compared to their friends, family and loved ones living with the pain of their untimely death for an extended 5 years of their lives?

This is not a death wish for you (you are ugly) and you beautiful family but please answer this question within the confines of your heart and decide sir. What will you prefer, to lose your beautiful sons and daughters to a bloody war, ill health or the incompetency of a failed leadership and have an extra five or ten years to mourn them, or live with them for as long as the times of life permits? I know it might be hard for you to answer but I can help you with the answers. Pick up your phone and call Pa Edwin Clarke, yes the big Delta man that has been advising you wrongly and ask him if he will rather have his son (sister's son) that died in Bauchi during the post election fracas of 2011 back and die five years earlier or lose another son or daughter to boko haram bomb blast and have another extra five years to live with the pain of his loss? His answer should be your answer sir.

The logic is simple, we don't want another four years of your manipulative rulership for another five years of wailing and mourning, we will rather live short and glorious 45 years life expectancy than have 59 years of sorrow, war, death and pain. Your time is up sir.

The Grandson of A Barren Woman

My late grandma "Sabitiu Cecilia Oderinlo" aka "Iya Alaté" (Business Woman) aka "Iya Onidiri" (Hair Stylist) aka "My First Wife" was called "BARREN" for the better part of her youthful and adult years in marriage. Was she really barren? Yes she was.

My granddad was polygamous so she nursed and raised the children of all the wives of "Pa Eniola Augustine Oderinlo" aka "Baba Ori Oke" (The man that lives on the hilltop) aka "Awole Esu" (The Destroyer of Devils House) my grandfather like her own without having a child of her own. She was called barren the abusive way and she lived with it for years and years because her husband only saw the wife of his youth and not a barren woman and that was good enough reason for her to ignore everything else and love everything that has the breathe of her handsome husband on it.

Then heaven opened up her womb after decades of waiting and she got pregnant with her first. Her first child was named "Oluwarantimi" meaning "God Remembered Me". She was so old and the child was so handsome that the missionaries (Rev. Sisters) at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Itesi, behind Ake Palace in Abeokuta, Ogun State in Nigeria offered to help her take care of my dad until she could learn to take care of a child on her own, little did they know that she was an expert at it already, she's been nursing her husband's children even when there was no hope of her ever having one of her own. A few years later, she had another child "Olatundun" my aunt and by then, the woman that was once a "Barren Old Bat" was the mother of two children of her own, and the many other her lovely husband had managed to born for her to care for. She told us her grandchildren the many tales of her tormentors and accusers, their show of madness and how she realised that being called "Agan" i.e. barren was just a word describing her present condition and not her final destination.

The bible described the likes of Sarah, Leah, etc. has barren... The birth of Ishmael was almost a proof of Sarah’s total bareness but God proved everything right with Isaac. Same situation for my Sabitiu but I'm a proof that the word "BARREN" is used to describe a woman that is yet to give birth to a child and not a woman that can't have children.

I wrote a creative piece recently and in it, I talked about Patience Goodluck Jonathan's being without a child of her own. I thought up a very unusual reason for it, not with the intent of mocking her, just a product of my creative energy, all in a bid to pass a message about the decay in Nigeria’s academic environment and everybody just felt it was insulting, abusive, offensive and every other word that ends with "ive" without noticing the message of my art. I sat to think of it afterwards and imagined, "what if it was a comedian that shared the narratives I did, won't we all laugh about it and call it a crazy joke?", my answer to that was yes and it was scary. Wow! Ain't We All Hypocrites?

My initial creative expression was filled with narratives of Patience’s bareness and how D&C aka abortion could be the cause and nobody is looking at the text holistically to see the lessons, rather we are all more concerned and consumed by the fact that I mentioned real names and used real life examples. Please tell me, if I can't use Gooduck and his wife to illustrate our inherent problems as a people and nation, who could be more suitable?

My art addressed the issues of lecturers sleeping with students to award them unearned marks but because my specimen was Goodluck and Patience Jonathan, everybody seems to be blind to the facts of my narratives. Someone should please tell me, how Patience Jonathan pass Biology in College under her lecturer GEJ? If Patience can't read or deliver a complete sentence without shooting down the walls of Jericho with grammatical blunders, how did she graduate with a degree in Biology and Psychology? We are all busy asking for Buhari's certificate, how did Patience Jonathan who has one pass her General Studies courses like English Language, not to imagine the complex field of biology and its many jargons that requires you spelling each word correctly. I did study Biology in my Secondary School days and I am almost sure she would have failed Biology at that level if she attended Awori Anglican Comprehensive High School my alma matter, so I'm wondering how she passed the same subjects at tertiary level in Rivers State College of Education and University of Port Harcourt (UniPort), your guess is as good as mine. No wonder GEJ got a 1st Class PhD from the same UniPort, did I hear somebody say "settlement & runs", and it is possible because he and she seem to be good at settling and runsing things.

What will you do if you walk into a psycho session and your shrink is Patience Jonathan, will you sit down and talk to her as your psychologist or run out screaming? What language will she use to communicate and administer the therapy, pidgin or Ikwere or Igbo? These are the questions we need to ask because my post was only addressing the decays in our academic community, the community that serves as the building block of our society.

Bareness is not a problem because it has a solution. It is either you get pregnant and give birth to your own children like my grandma did eventually, adopt or allow your husband have one or two outside your marriage and you take them as yours like Sarah in the scriptures or Patience Jonathan did, or you live with that reality. It's hard I know but there is always a way out of bareness. There is no easy way out of the decay our academic communities are producing, that's why we have a Dr. and an Arc. as Presidents and the top still feels empty because there is no real value driven individuals up there representing the interest of the people, that is why we have so-called graduates that are unemployable, graduates who can’t deliver a minute worth of value in the subject matter they claimed to have earned a first or second degree in.

Barren is an insultive word, D&C is f**ked up according to my cousin but it's tight lyrics when MI Abaga uses D&C in almost every song he's written and released, all we do is sing along. In fact rape is cool when Olamide sings about it; it is “story for the gods”. It's excellent when lecturers award marks for sex and make life a living hell for those that can't use biology practical to pass mathematics. Abortion is a cure for sexual mistakes but "barren" is bad word even when most of it is caused by abortion, I wonder why the word exists.

Our society can only change in the future if parents will slow down and start training their children instead of saving up for special centres. A child whose WAEC and JAMB results was purchase by her parent will gladly use biology practical (sex) to pass any course she can use it to pass, or use it to get money to buy the marks when biology practical can solve it, it's called runs.

I feel no remorse talking about a woman being childless, it is the problem of humanity and nothing can stop bareness from existing, after all, I am Abidemi Babaolowo Oderinlo the grandson of a barren woman.

Dear MTN NIGERIA,

It's been four five years since I last won anything from you guys, yes five good years and it was a bag that I won for writing my beautiful Iya Toyin a beautiful poem on Mothers Day. Ever since then, i have tried everything within my power to add another feather to it but with no success. A recap of some of the things i've done in defence of MTN Nigeria over the years scares even men.

In 2009, a fought a friend of mine for turning that your logo tune "do re mi re do re do" to "Dem dey give us wahala o". Not for once did I get a single min of free call for my wahala, not a minute more for XtraCool at night.

2010, I slapped a bus conductor and pushed him out of a moving bus for referring to MTN's network as "network oshi" meaning "rubbish network", i was never compensated for the heroic, a single minute would have made me throw a pilot out the plane for MTN, so sad i got none.

2011 was the year I road a bicycle from Fandum to Hadejia in search of signal so I could call Lagos, even though their was network on the Glo lines of my colleagues, i refused their offer to use their phones to make the call. I even received calls in Germany without roaming in thesame year with my hard earned credit and tweeted at MTN from Frankfurt in September in attempt to win free recharge card during your 10years anniversary to no avail, infact i didn't get a retweet but still I stayed with you. In 2012, I bought a blackberry and subscribed every month of the year from April, I looked forward to more but the best I got was extension of BIS, not even a minute of free call, none that I know of. Even when I texted WIN to those number, I only got debited, I didn't win "shishi". I was hoping I would win the aeroplane on offer sef, in fact I went to Yaw's house to ask if I needed to text the entry in his accent to win the aeroplane but instead, you gave the Cessna 182T aircraft of the MTN Ultimate Wonder promo to Ebube Essien-Garricks, was it because her surname sounds like "Gatwick Airport"?

2013 was amazing but you guys didn't offer us another plane. Don't pretend like you are afraid of NCC, you've not stopped sending us the SMS even after you've been warned never to send it to us again. I have never complained, in fact, i read every SMS you sent, hoping to find info that i've won your head office since that's the only thing that could be bigger than winning an airplane.. becoming your landlord would have been perfect.

This is 2014 and today is Dec. 2nd, Are my not going to get the chance to win something this year? When will I win again? THAT RELIGIOUS DEMON CALLED "WOMEN ABUSE"/"DOMESTIC VIOLENCE" IS NOT AFRICAN

I recently came across a Facebook status on a female friend's page claiming being "misogynist" a Nigerian culture and an African thing. 90% of the comments on the post described an average African of being vindictive of women rights, denying them even the humanity that is free for all. All the negative comments in support came from women who probably have sons, brothers and fathers who they describe to be good men in the same comment box, a submission which immediately reverses their well painted picture of a vile African male. I found this almost unbelievable because I am African, I grew up in a rural and very rustic environment where every woman was a jewel. I began to wonder, "Is she referring to the Nigerian culture I know or there is another Nigeria somewhere in Asia". Even if this claims are true, an average African male is raised by a women, it this not a submission that African women are experts at raising misogynists.

The African culture that I know is one that strives to preserve her women from childhood, protect and re-present them at adulthood with pride. Where I grew up in Nigeria, it's a place where the sun wakes up with pride and goes to sleep with grinning smiles, our women define everything, they define the parents and they are basically the yardstick for assessing the standard and morality of every home that has one in it.

It is confusing when you see Nigerians, Ghanians, Kenyan, Somalian and Africans in general taking responsibility for crimes they didn't commit or an identity that is not their own. I am a bit livid when Africans attribute wrong doings to their Africaness, terms like "Africa Time", "Africa Style", "Nigerian Factor" and other submissions that directly negates being black leaves me in a rage like a mother who knows his son is still alive but can't do anything to stop his being buried alive. It kills and burns me from the inside, therefore I must speak against it.

Domestic violence is as universal phenomenon and women being subordinated is a worldwide situation and has nothing to do with BEING AFRICAN. I don't support abuse in any way and never will. I believe the place of a woman in a family is to be the support structure and mechanism, not the spearhead. Although women are the stronger element in a family system if we analyze critically, I personally from my experience believe their emotional chemistry is perfected to complement and my opinion has nothing to do with being a Christian, Muslim or African... It is my understanding of human nature.

I grew up in a African home where my mum doubled as dad when I was younger, my dad was a regional officer for a food and beverage company so he traveled a lot. My name Abidemi simply tells the tale that my dad was away when I was born, a reflection of the daunting responsibility my mum had to bear because I was the fifth of six children. I pounded yam with my mum and sisters and uncle, not because my dad demanded pounded instead of "Poundo", it was my mum's choice because she's from Ekiti. In fact my mum sold "Poundo-Yam" in her super-store but we still pounded because she loved the real thing better. The beauty of this pounding experience is that my dad can pound too and he does wherever he was then… It was never my mum or the girls responsibility to cook, it was everybody's duty and as I grew up, I got on the kitchen roaster. Even as hard as it was to have the time, there were those magic moments when daddy got in the kitchen, yes he gets his turn too. Maybe we can say she abused my dad in this situation. If my dad finds a shirt on the ironing board, he irons it before asking "whose shirt is this" and that is probably in process of ironing his wife's clothes. Cooking and laundry was a collective work, not just in my house but in almost every home I know, and that is a very wide network, across states and regions, there was never a case blatant subordination.

Here in Lagos Nigeria where I live, you see fathers dropping off and picking up their children from schools, they take their children to the salon for haircut, they bath their children, tell bedtime stories, swing them to sleep and sometimes back their children when mummy is probably busy doing other things. An average home is a typical team of father, mother, grandmas, aunties, cousins and maids (for those that use maids), trying to support each other and raise the children against all odds, and the mother is always the nucleus. I am surprised when the tag "Africans" or "Nigerians are misogynist" is used. How will you tag a man whose house is naturally filled with women a hater of women? It is a paradox.

I have heard and heard horrific tales of domestic violence and abuse from around the world, I heard of situations of abuse with people that are close to me but I am yet to see an horrific situation within my community and I am Nigerian and African. Even the thugs on the streets respect women, and it is no gain-saying when you hear gist about thugs hiding their guns from their mum or girlfriend.

I am Nigerian, 100% African and I don't see anything African about being abusive or vindictive in relationships or family. Just the way the Europeans can boast of kings and queens, we Africans have a rich history of queens and powerful women that still walked and still walk our continent, so much that even the Bible recorded during the days of Solomon and of the Persian king who made Esther his queen. The practice of women subordination is a religious import from the Arabian gulf and not an African identity. Before Christianity and Islam came to Africa, our lives were built and patterned around our women, they were the centre of everything and there was no King without the exalted office of a Queen and a King's Mother, there was no place for a King's father. Maltreatment of women is not African, it was never in our culture and not in the dictates or our tradition as far as I know, ours was a world built around the beauty of our women in all its form.

African women were the crown of their men's head and the pride of their children. Everywhere else, they had gods and gods alone, here in Africa, we had gods and goddesses, and the beauty of the gods was that there was none without a goddess beside him, and we had goddesses without gods to match and still we worshipped them without discrimination. Ever heard of The Queen of Sheba, Kandake or Kentake of Kush, Queen Amina, Cleopatra, Moremi et al… Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti was on the entourage of great Nigerians that gave Nigeria her freedom, the richest black women are Africans living in Africa… so if we empower our women so much, where on earth did it become the culture of Africa to subordinate the women we worship and adore?

Here in Africa, our women are independent, but in the Arab world, women have no rights, women are not even allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia, so how did subordination become our own? It doesn't look like the women in the West Bank and Middle East are doing better, nor the women in other parts of the world. I've seen abuse in the United Kingdom even under the reign of her majesty and nobody seems to call it an European or English thing. There are videos across the internet of both white men and black women abusing men and women in the Americas but nobody has tagged it an American thing, why do we Africans now readily accept to be bad and are eager to claim the forced identity the western world has placed on us with a faulty h cooked up history, cooked up about the beautiful Africa they met, and has worked hard to belittle and destroy. If the libraries of Mansa Musa are still lined with our great scientific and explorative exploit, why then do we still see so little of ourselves. Abuse is an international behaviour and it is majorly fueled by religions that are not native to Africa so I dare say nobody should make it an African identity. Black is Black and not bad.

In Africa , our culture is to love and respect our women. Ask an Igbo woman whose parents value more than a thousand male son or the Calabar bride in a fattening room. The "Jigida" is not for tying but for adorning our women, the "Ileke" is not a shackle, it is a jewelry and all of this were invented to appreciate the beauty of our African woman. Women abuse to my understanding is a foreign culture that was passed into the African system through religion (Christianity and Islam) it has never and will ever be our identity. Even if our culture and tradition places a man as the head in Africa, it recognises our women as the priceless pillar and body, without which the head is a decoration, and more importantly the heart of all our being. Our culture is designed to keep them that way, It is religion that has "Yerima'd" our culture.

Here in my part of Nigeria, here is a song we sing for our brides "Ile awa dun, oko ni fo aso... Ile awa dun, oko ni n ponmi... Ile awa dun, oko ni n lota..." (Our home is lovely, the husband takes care of all domestic responsibility).

WILLIAMS J.K.F WRITES TO THE “DEFENDERS” OF MR. PRESIDENT

After barrages of attacks from the defenders of Goodluck Jonathan’s administration in Nigeria, the fearless Williams J.K.F who has been inking his opinion in response to the address of Goodluck during his 2015 ambition declaration takes on the defenders of the Nigerian president in another classic, insight-filled letter. This patriotic Nigerian seems to be loaded with the right antidote for mediocrity, here the juice of the letter begins on the next line you will be reading.

“Good morning “defenders” of our president and finally, good morning, Mr. President. The calls and messages I received yesterday was overwhelming just because of “simple” questions we asked our president. But instead allowing Mr. President to reply our questions himself or even through Mr. Rueben Abbati, the “defenders” took it upon themselves to accuse and abuse me. None of them mentioned anything reasonable, the only rant I’m hearing is that I’m inciting the youths against the president. It’s either I don’t know the meaning of the adjective (incite) or it was just wrongly used. Because you can’t incite those who know and understand condition(s). Again, some section said the president is not at fault but the people working for him or working with him and as such what he need from us is prayers and fasting. Based on this, I’m going to reply fully to those who think what the president need is not criticism (either constructive or venomous), but our prayers and fasting. Fellow comrade and “defenders”, follow me as I explain myself again…

On our refineries, it’s either I’m wrongly informed or I’m not in this country, this is the sixth years in office of Mr. President, please tell me, how many refinery(ies) has/have been constructed in the last six years? All we hear everyday are “rehabilitating”, “repairing”, “renewing” etc of the old ones. Are there no land again in Nigeria to build more? How many months does it take to build a refinery? How can our country be buying what we have in abundant? How can the children of a great hunter be eating legs of chickens? Where are we on refinery please? If our president cannot add more refinery(ies) in six years, how can he add in the next four years? Since the “defenders” have taken his case upon themselves, I wish they can constructively convince me on this.

On the recently concluded National Conference, the delegates (485 in number) were paid a weekly “remuneration” of N1.4 million each. This money were paid directly into each delegate’s personal account. And guess what, the money was paid like that until they finished the conference. N1.4 Million weekly! And when asked, the president said; “Its just a pastry gift in appreciation of their dedication and seriousness to move the country forward”. I’m not jealous of the money, far from it, but the promptness and dexterity in which our president handled the case is encouraging, despite the fact that most of them are either sleeping or paying scrabbles. If the same seriousness is given to all our sectors, we could have gone far than this.

I will encourage the defenders of our President to read about Taiwan. ‘Why Taiwan?’ you may ask, well, Taiwan is a barren rock-laden country with virtually no mineral resources in commercial quantity, in fact, Taiwan need to export sand from China for their constructions, but guess what? Taiwan is the fourth richest country in term of GDP. What did their reasonable leaders did? Instead of their president giving gifts to less than 500 “brilliant and outstanding” delegates, he shared the gifts to all his less than 30 million citizens; he gave substantial educational gift to his fellow citizens, he gave reasonable electricity gift to his people, he gave appreciable medical and health care gifts to his country, he gave considerable transportation, employment, security and good governance gifts to his people. That is why Taiwan is where they are today. I want the defenders of our President to swear if they have never used Taiwan products before? That is the outcome of the rigorous work their president embarked on, that is what I call real good luck.

The N1.8 million daily “feeding” money of the president is enough proof that he does not need my fasting. How can I fast for someone who uses over One Billion Naira to feed in a year? With 30 million naira budgeted for the feeding of just 2 lions in Aso Rock, I want those who say I should be praying for the President daily to give me one reason why he need my prayer and the prayers of others who he has betrayed. Are you saying that the lives of Two animals are worth more than ours? The N1.6 Billion spent on “repairing” one out of the 7 aircrafts can change the lives of many graduates. To the defenders, should I continue?

On corruption, hmmmmmmmn. EOD. ICPC has become a ghost and the eagle logo of EFCC has been stylishly changed to parrot. During the period of OBJ, even if people are accusing Obasanjo then that he’s using these anti-corruption agencies to witch-hunt his enemies, at least we are seeing results. Even his fellow people are not spared; Police Heads, Politicians, Legislators, Governors etc were also exposed and many prosecuted. To the defenders, lets assume fighting corruption is “witch-hunting”, how many people has our president been able to “Witch-hunt” in the last six years?

The defenders should realise that we are in this together, so its either we do it right or we get it right. If nothing is being done by us now, if we still continue in sentiments, if we still engage in regional sympathy, our unborn children will not forgive us, the coming generations will not be impressed by us.

Hope is a feeling that better things lie ahead. But hope only makes sense where it can be converted to reality. I hope our wishfulness will be converted to reality. Because we were not suppose to know and understand the meaning of poverty in this great country. Pessimism should not be the best way to express our emotional feelings towards this country. We all deserve better than what we are getting. We were not suppose to be brought up this way. But if the defenders think we can all be bought, coerced or sweet-talked, then they should expect the unexpected. I want you (the defenders) and Mr. President to know that there is a limit to hope! Reasonable people, good morning.”

In continuation of his response to Mr. President’s address at his declaration on 11/11/2014, Williams J.K.F continues to share insights on not just how Jonathan has failed, but suggesting how he could have done better in an article he titled “Mr. President, All I Need Are Explanations And Convincing Way Forward”.

In our opinion, this is an awakening, and we hope somebody in the office of the presidency in Nigeria is reading this to the president. Here’s the letter:

Good day Mr. President, and congratulations on your yesterday’s declaration. Well, I wrote you yesterday and some section of your fans wanted to lynch me online. One of them even took it upon himself to kill me on your behalf by threatening me through private chats; he accused me of not having respect and asking if I can talk to my father the way I “talked” to you yesterday. Though I duly replied him that if you were to be my father, I would have talked to you more than that since I will be the one facing the heat outside. In summary sir, please pardon me on my confrontation and also forgive me in advance on the other questions I want to ask. All I need today are just explanations and convincing way forward, either from you, from the admin of your page or from those who think you need to continue. Thank you in anticipation for positive consideration sir.

Mr. President, from your body language and distraction anthem your fans are hammering on concerning the issues of security, it seems “your hands are tied” again or you have been totally distracted as well, because the security is so porous to the extent that Boko Haram now share fliers in Barracks. Let me remind you of another leader in the past who was also “distracted by his enemies” but prevailed. Let me take you back to 2001 when Osama and his boys (Advanced Boko Haram) bombed America in September 11, 2001, their President (George W. Bush) then was the rallying point for his people, there were pains in his heart, yet his body language was relieving and his voice reassuring. This was what George Bush told the American people; “Tonight, we are a country awakened to danger and called to defend freedom. Our grief has turned to anger and anger to resolution. Whether we bring our enemies to justice or we bring justice to our enemies, justice will be done”. After the address, he moved into action immediately and make sure that their version of Boko Haram never strike again in his land. Meanwhile after a terrorist attack in Nigeria in 2012, this was what you said sir; “…Calm down. Terrorist attacks happen everywhere…”. Now sir, let us compare your statement to Bush’s statement. If your enemies are the Boko Haram as we all presumed and you yourself accepted, I wonder why you are still sparing your enemies. If your enemies are ghosts and faceless as you claimed Sir, I wonder the spiritual method you are using to negotiate with ghosts. Sir, you are the Commander-in-Chief, after God, you are the most powerful man in Nigeria, the “First-born”, the Number One citizen, the rallying-point and first father of the most populous black nation on earth! If your hands are tied, what will be the fate of the rest of us? Mr. President, since your hands are not tied to declare re-election, please sir, I need an explanation on the insecurity.

Mr. President, on the issue of the abducted future wives, mothers, custodians and heroines of this country by these same sects, please Sir, if one of them were to be your daughter, will they still be there? Mr. President Sir, incase you are not pondering what I’m pondering; I can imagine these girls with ages ranging from 16 to 22 being sexually assaulted everyday! I can imagine some of these girls, out of fear and struggle of preventing these fools from touching them being beaten, tortured and subjected to inhuman treatments. I can imagine the mercilessness with which the criminals will force themselves into these girls, some of whom would still be virgins and experiencing it for the first time with criminals. I can imagine these girls sleeping on a bare ground of a cursed forest, an environment polluted with guns, deceased bodies, bullets, filth, sorrows, tears and blood. I can imagine these innocent girls being infected with diseases….out of no fault of theirs, but the ill luck of being Nigerians. I can imagine these girls so dirty, since they have no new clothes to wear and no adequate water to bath. I can imagine some of these girls on their monthly periods with no sanitary pads and necessary items to use. I can imagine some of these girls with health issues without treatment since the fools even abhor western education. I can imagine some of these girls developing mental disorder since they have never been subjected to these kinds of inhuman treatments in their little years of existence. I can imagine some of these girls contacting diseases in a bush filled with human bodies, nauseating odours, rodents, reptiles, ants, flies, mosquitoes etc. I can imagine these girls getting leaner everyday as a result of inadequate food supplies. I can imagine these girls cursing the day they were born as a result of the unbearable treatments they were subjecting them to. I can imagine the skin of these girls changing since they are not used to that kind of environment. I have to stop here sir as my emotion has taken the better part of me.

Mr. President, this is more than 230 days; 230 days of pains for these queens, 230 days of sexual abuse, 230 days of trauma, 230 days of psychological moratorium, 230 of mental disorder, 230 of emotional disorientation, 230 of moral fragmentation, Mr. President, more than 230 days of cries sir by these damsels. Put yourself in their shoes sir, their only sin is because they found themselves in a country where their leaders are heartless and the opposition are inconsiderate. Mr. President, please explain to me what I don’t understand on this issue.

Mr. President Sir, on the youths, though many of them are singing your praises that you are the best that has happened to their existence, but sir, for those of us who are not too impressed, let us revisit the immigration exercise that killed nothing less than 27 vibrant and promising youths including a pregnant lady. For your information sir, out of the approximately 170 million Nigerians, 70% are made up of the youths, meaning we have 119 million youths! Among these 119 million, only 13% (15,470,000) are gainfully employed, while the rest 103,530,000 are either “grudgingly” employed, under-employed or “totally” unemployed! I might be wrong sir, but I’m not too far from the truth.

Incase you don’t know sir, many centers across the country did not even write the exams; Lagos State did not write exams despite extortion and deliberate increase in writing materials. Kogi state did not write exams as the centre was converted to a delivery room as 2 pregnant job seekers delivered successfully. Did I hear you saying “Praise The Lord!”? I join you in saying “Alhamdulillahi” (I hope I got it), but they might have delivered out of stress since there was no sign of “labour” before they left their various houses. Abia state did not see exam papers until 7pm! Portharccourt did not write any exams either, neither did many states. Abuja recorded the highest casualties as the stadium was converted to a slaughter centre. Though the Comptroller-General came out on national televisions to “thank” Nigerians for the “success” of the exercise and promised to “do more”. I’m still praying for the comptroller till today; his children and grandchildren will share from the “successes” of the affected youths too. Now sir, you never revisited that ugly casualty, you never mentioned it anywhere, you never commiserate with the parents of these fallen Nigerians. Sir, till today, no arrest, no query, no enquiry, no remorse, nothing! Sir, please explain what I don’t underhand in this area.

I have lots to ask you Sir, but I have to wait for the replies of the ones I have asked. All I just need are convincing explanations sir. I know you know that I have reasons to ask you since I campaigned and voted for you, so I have reason to know what you have done with the trust I invested in you and on you Sir.

Once again Sir, in this country, hunger should not be a recurrent thing in our lives. Unemployment should not be a genetic thing. Poverty should not be an inheritance. Okrika should not be a family tradition. Begging should not be a custom. We deserve employment, good governance, accountability, social and infrastructural amenities and sound education for all. This is what our country need, I have plenty of confidence in this country, but are we short of good men to place our confidence in? I doubt it, I believe you are equal to the task, but please convince me with your explanations.

“Dear President Jonathan,

I have watched you in the last one year jump from pillar to post under the pretext of governance; clinging to the inconsequential and deliberately ignoring that which the times demand of governance in today’s Nigeria. From the moment you were sworn in as an elected president, it’s been a galore of gaffes and conscious distraction of Nigerians from the things that actually do matter to them.

Within weeks of your presidency, your first executive move was to amend the constitution so as to allow for president and governors to serve just one term of six years in office. Not sooner than the dust raised by that move settled, you declared an economic war on the Nigerian people with an imposition of fuel tax, called fuel subsidy removal, which was just a way designed for you to avoid confronting your friends and officials who defrauded the country you preside over.

Mr President, you may recall that October 2 years ago, during a church service to commemorate Nigeria’s Independence Day, you lamented that we condemn you at home while Obama commends you abroad. Even then, we argued that Obama’s commendation of you – whatever it was meant to achieve – was ill-timed and ill-informed. We reasoned that we were the ones who elected you our president and so were best qualified to assess your performance in office. Today, the table has turned. Does Obama still commend you? Just in case you haven’t heard, the United States government has seen you for whom you are – a president who presides over a criminal empire without making any meaningful efforts to curtail corruption. Before you dismiss my message as another baseless rant from a disgruntled opposition member, well, you are wrong sir as I voted for you in that election without compromising.

I will go straight again to your last year’s Democracy Day speech. As expected, it could not boast of any visible achievement other than economic indices and statistics that were quite divorced from the stark realities on ground. You showed an amazing excitement when you announced your administration’s empowerment of 1200 youths who benefitted from your Youth Enterprise with Innovative Programme, YouWin. I was surprised that such was considered an achievement by you Sir let alone being included in your anniversary speech. Mr President, may I humbly inform you that 70 per cent of the Nigerian population is comprised of people who are thirty five years and below? Each year, Sir, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) churns out at least 100 thousand young Nigerians who throng into the labour market in search of nonexistent jobs. This is in spite of the fact that a larger percentage of those who passed out before them may not have gotten jobs. So why should we be excited about 1200 people in a population of 170 million? Is it a deliberate celebration of mediocrity or just an attempt to appear serious with the job we elected you to do?

In reference to electricity supply, you said, “By mid-2010, the national power output was about 2, 800 MW. By the end of 2011, we reached a peak of more than 4, 000 MW. A National Gas Emergency Plan has also been launched to redress the problem of gas supply which are essentially due to poor planning.”

Curiously, you didn’t tell us where we were by end of May, or mid-May this year, the period you were reeling out the your achievements. So I ask now, Mr President, where are we on power generation? How many megawatts have we achieved between 2011 and mid-May, 2014?

Where we are on electricity generation, Mr President, is on the region of total darkness. The wattage is negligible. Nauseating sound of generators still buzz in my neighbourhood daily, and darkness is the light in the villages where poverty even bites harder. That must be why you jumped it.

The efforts you put in advertising your cassava bread, if not tragic, would have been funny. You cannot re-write history Sir, Cassava bread is not novel. Your constant efforts to lay claim to it as your achievement in office is worrisome. For the records, on 1st July, 2005, Obasanjo’s government made it mandatory for bakers to include 10% of cassava flour in the production of bread. I followed that administration closely. Yet even at that ,you cannot force people to eat what they do not want. Telling us you eat it makes no difference in our lives. Our billions are stolen by the day, anyway; and you watch without taking any punitive action against the criminals.

Your penchant for majoring in minor, if not entirely irrelevant issues, should worry every sound mind. Your change of my school, Unilag to MKO Abiola University just by a presidential fiat betrayed your love for vanity; your lack of appreciation for substance. And as expected, it stirred up eruptions in the school. Yet rather than quickly reconsider your stand, you declared to many who think you made another gaffe; “no going back”. I know political expediency informed that decision. But unfortunately, that was politically incorrect. It has boomeranged, and will not shield you from the harsh verdict of your critics, which is that your years in office as president was a total failure.

It was a shock to me that you ended your speech without making any mention of the fuel subsidy scam – the biggest in Nigeria’s history. You said nothing about your plans to prosecute the offenders. In case you don’t know, Mr President, the amount involved in that fraud is N2.6trillion, more than half of our annual budget. If that is not weighty enough to cause you to act, I wonder what will. Should I mention the abducted girls? Should I mention the porous security? I dont need to bother sir.

You could see, Mr President, that I didn’t have time to pretend about the message I wanted to pass across. You already have enough praise singers to last you a lifetime. Pardon my directness, it was meant to deliver the message in a manner you will be stirred to act.

Do have a great day, Sir. I hope the domestic staff will remember to not prepare imported rice for this your occasion. Kindly remind them of your “resolve to always eat local rice”. Today should be for Abakaliki or Ofada. Though I will still vote for you since there are no better alternatives, but sincerely sir, I’m not impressed.

And lest I forget; happy declaration Mr President!”
