May Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Creative Scrappers!
Happy Month of May!

This Month I asked our past design team member Shannon Morgan to create a layout for us here at CS. She used one of the sketches in the Creating With Sketches Vol2 book and I put a spin on it and created another sketch exclusive to YOU our blog readers!

Here is a bit about Shannon ... in case you don't know her!

My name is Shannon Morgan, I am a set in my ways Northern Girl transplanted to the South. After almost six years, I am still in denial about that. I am very lucky to be a stay at home mom & have two kiddos who keep me on my toes. Paddy who is my sweet boy, lover of animals & all things Star Wars... Mackenzie is his younger sister who has a colorful, vast vocabulary, a wild imagination. They are often complimented by their crazy dog sisters...Cinna and Meg. Rounding out our family is my doting husband who puts up with my scrapping obsession & insane need to watch tv in our room in closed caption at night when I can't sleep, but am too comfy to go watch tv in the family room.

I love to chronicle our everyday adventures & as Mackenzie likes to say, "Collect our memories."...I think it's more like hoard them. :) If for some chance I am not scrapping or creating some sort of paper good...you can find me reading, nose buried deep in a book, or baking...& then pretending to exercise said baked goods by leisurely walking through our neighborhood. :)

I am soooo excited! I have finally finished Creating with Sketches V2! I am so proud of this book, it really is a great accomplishment for me. In this book i have 125+ sketches, 65 International Designers .. a few of them are past Creative Scrappers Designers, and of course this book has 1000s of creative possibilities.

I have 12x12 sketches, and a few 8 1/2x11, double pages, and project life sketches. This book is mainly 12x12 sketches but of course any of them can be used in a variety of ways!

Good Morning Creative Scrappers,

Well today is the last reveal for our design team and they've done another outstanding job with my sketch. I hope that you'll visit their blogs and show them some love on their layouts. They certainly did our sketches justice this term and i hope you were inspired by them the last few months. Thank you ladies, for doing your best work week after week!

I also have to add a BIG BIG thank you to KIKI for helping me the past few months. She's been accepting layouts, editing, and doing blog posts for the past 5-6 months. It was awesome having her here and I am grateful !!! Hugs to you Kiki !

After today, Creative Scrappers will be taking a little vacation! We aren't going far and we won't be long. We just need some time to revamp our ideas.

While we are on our little vacation, we will have a few challenges and some special giveaways from sponsors. Those will be done sporadically and with enough notice so you can participate. For example .. Sketch 250 will be up for the month of March with a deadline of March 31st. This gives everyone a fair chance to participate ;-)

This isn't goodbye, i've worked too hard to put this site to rest .. 5 years of hard work and dedication has put me where i am today with Creative Scrappers and all of you who have supported me still deserve to be inspired!

As you know, I've been creating another sketchbook -- Creating with Sketches Vol2 and it's currently in the review/printing stages. A publication you can download and print yourself or just save it to your iPhone, or iPad and use it as you wish! Limited printed copies will also be available with a preorder offered shortly to guarantee your printed copy.

The second issue of this ebook will feature exclusive sketches created for you! Sketches will be created by me, the founder of Creative Scrappers, Kristine Davidson.

Hello Creative Scrappers!

Did you know that we'll be posting our sketch #250 in about a month? Did you also know that Creative Scrappers has been providing you with inspiration for 5 years this April!? Yes, we have!

I'd like to say THANK YOU to all of you who have visited Creative Scrappers on Sunday mornings, those of you who have designed, created sketches, and followed us for all these years.

With that said, I'd like to announce that Creative Scrappers will be taking a break, or I will be taking a break from Creative Scrappers in hopes of changing a few things and also to get REJUVENATED! My heart hasn't been with Creative Scrappers for the past few months and that's not fair to you, our CS fans.

As as of march 3rd 2013, with sketch #250 that will be posted it will be the last reveal for Creative Scrappers for a while. The site of course will remain active, all sketches and all layouts will be left here to inspire you as we step away for a while.

I don't want this to be SAD ... but rather a celebration of quite the accomplishment! Creative Scrappers has been around for 5 years with 250 reveals, and one of the greatest sketch sites in the WORLD! It's just another step forward, and we will be back!
