INCREDIBLE - Shock As Prophet Disappears After Auto Crash In Osun State

Anxiety is mounting over the sudden disappearance of the General Overseer of Christ Worshippers Church with headquarters at Osubi, Effurun, Warri, Delta State Prophet Duromola Adedayo Samuel.

One source said Prophet Duromola might have met his death in a ghastly auto crash that occurred, yesterday, between 6.00 p.m and 8.00 p.m. along Akure-Ilesa expressway.

But another source said he might also have been a victim of kidnap.

A source in Ikeji Arakeji area where the crash occurred disclosed that after the crash and the vehicle veered into the bush, they tried to give a helping hand but did not meet anybody inside the vehicle with the number plate already removed.

Osun State police command spokesperson, Mrs Folasade Odoro, said there was no official report to that effect while family members from Owo, Ondo State claimed that they had gone to various hospitals in Owena, Ikeji-Arakeji, Ipetu-Ijesa, Ilesa as his whereabout was still unknown at press time.

According to the family members on search party, the vehicle was found but the prophet was not found, adding that no blood stain or anything curious was noticed at the scene of the accident.

Elder Boro, a member of the Board of Trustees of the church in a telephone interview said Prophet Samuel phone rang throughout the night without response.

He added that may be he was praying on the mountain in Ilesa.

This was corroborated by Pastor Paul Opoweh, the Prophet’s personal assistant, who said efforts to reach him on phone proved abortive.

When the wife, Prophetess Eseoghene Blessing Duromola was contacted, she said Prophet Sanuel went to a mountain at Ilesa, with a promise to return to Akure to pick her and the children to Warri for the end of the year vigil but that did not happen.

Texas Scientists Given Green Light To Use Sex Offenders For Medical Research

Sutton County, TX) – Hundreds of violent and predatory sex offenders are being transferred from multiple correctional facilities all over Texas to a specialized medical research facility where they will spend the rest of their lives being used as subjects in medical experimentation and testing.

In a bold move Texas congress passed a bill in early October to give researchers permission to use the most violent, predatory, repeat sex offenders as the first human subjects who will be used in more cutting edge clinical inquiries.

The facility which is located in Sutton County is being praised worldwide as bringing medical research to the next crucial level. Several researchers are clamoring to bring their talent to the practice. Having the opportunity to work with human subjects will give scientists the opportunity to develop sophisticated new treatments and surgical procedures that will eventually be saving lives.

During a recent press conference designed to inform the public about the facility and it’s goals, a handful of people expressed distaste for the program claiming it was inhumane and unethical to use humans in research against their will regardless of their crimes. “These are people who have committed horrific crimes and have shown no chance of ever being receptive to any kind of rehabilitation or treatment. It costs taxpayers millions of dollars a year to persecute, convict and house these criminals year after year. They are people who contribute absolutely nothing to society other than the pain and anguish that their victims must endure for the rest of their lives. Really, there is no justice in that process. With this new program, these offenders will at least be able to provide something of value to society. We realize that many see this as a cruel and unusual solution, but the majority of the public has agreed that these people basically revoked their rights to be treated with respect and dignity the moment they chose to commit their crimes.”

Others were overjoyed, many of them former victims of sexual abuse perpetrated by the men who were being used in the program. “This really gives me a complete sense of closure” commented Karen Kennedy at the press conference. She had been the victim of a repeat violent offender back in 1992 who was now being transferred to the institute. “I am happy that he will never be able to hurt any more children. It’s good too that they are putting him to good use. Any suffering he may experience in the process of course is an bonus” she added with a sadistic smile.

Absence of Women in Tech Industries is a Myth

(National Report) – Twitter, the social networking company, recently had to use more than 140 characters to explain the absence of women on the 7 man board of directors. The result has been a misconstrued national conversation on why so few women are leading in the tech industries.

Approximately 51 percent of publically traded technology based firms have at least single female presence on their board of directors, compared to 64 percent of all other industries, as reported by the New York Times. If it seems kind of ridiculous to cry over a 13 percent differential, it’s because it is ridiculous. Women make up only about 50 percent of the population, yet 64 percent of non-tech industries have at least one womyn on the board of directors. Doesn’t this say that there are like 14% more women in high ranking positions? Of course it does!

The information technologies sector is constantly changing and evolving, women are not being left out or left behind. If anything, the 51 percent of tech companies with a single woman on the board or in the case of Yahoo as CEO, says that women are taking over the industry. Yet critics persist because they want more women running companies.

If the population only has 50 percent women and 51 percent of tech boards have at least one woman, common sense says that equilibrium has been achieved. Not good enough for the lady tech cabals.

Only 27 percent of the technology industry workforce is comprised of people without a penis, yet even twitter admits to having several women in high level management positions. It seems clear that in terms of job quality, women are given a leg up.

Because there are so few women in the workforce and so many running huge technology companies like facebook and yahoo, it follows that the path from the workforce to the corner office is a short leap in high heels. Yet critics continue to bash technology’s “woman problems” as if tech fields are a bro-tastic sausage fest where women are undervalued. It all seems so unfair until one asks “why?”

There is a reason why the “absence of women in technology” myth persists.

The number of “women in tech” networking cabals are too numerous to mention. These are not Saturday afternoon tea parties with floppy hats and clutched pearls. No, the ladies of tech have formed a monopoly of evil that twists the fate of men from one of playful machismo into a fiery magna that will destroy all in its path, leaving a foul cement of tears and ashes.

Organizations promoting women in tech fields would not exist if the truth about women in technology was discovered – Technology has plenty of women.

Scientists from the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) have announced that NASA made a crucial miscalculation in their prediction that asteroid 2013 TV135 will miss Earth.

Lead scientist Yoheshu Kaiwi explained that NASA scientists “failed to account for Earth’s gravitational wobbling”. When this wobbling is factored in, the asteroid is on a direct collision course with Earth.

Dr. Kaiwi graciously explained how the error could occur, “NASA scientists are under constant financial constraints, and the organization really doesn’t have the money to perform such complicated prediction experiments. The Japanese equivalent, JAXA, is much more respected and supported by the Japanese government. Therefore, we really receive the financial support that enables us to correctly make these predictions.”

Dr. Kaiwa ended his announcement on a grave note, “The size of this asteroid will cause great damage to Earth when it collides. We cannot imagine the catastrophe. It will strike with a force greater than 10,000 Godzillas.”

Catholic Church Canonizes iPhone 5s

In an unprecedented traditional upturn by the Vatican, the Catholic church has canonized the first artificial intelligence device in history: the iPhone 5s. The Congregation for the Causes of Saints -the committee that oversees determinations of sainthood within the church- had the privilege of testing the beta versions of the sleek, newly released iPhone 5s approximately four weeks ahead of the general public.

Within that time frame, they claim to have exhausted most of the iPhone 5s’ apps and features such as “Facetime”, “Angry Birds”, “Bump”, the “T-Pain Auto-Tuner” and “Vine”. “We were basically, playing games and texting each other like little high school ninnies, ” relates a dignified senior appointee of the Congregation.

Not surprisingly, the church has had their eye on the iPhone for quite some time. But it wasn’t until a handful of promotional new iPhones came along that all requirements for sainthood were fulfilled. The Congregation was wary the device’s candidacy would be seen as a marketing scheme to promote Apple from within. But given that “saints is saints”, the complex process was initiated. For those who may not be familiar with canonization, it is the process by which a potentially holy devout, or subject, is considered for sainthood in the anals of history. And the process, it seems, has very strict requirements:

1) First, the candidate must be deceased for approximately 5 years. There are also rumors that the event will also signal the long-awaited arrival of the iPhone 5t in honor of the churches mascot, Jesus Christ. The world, it seems, can hardly wait. Our fingers are crossed.

<NationalReport>Little Rock, AR-The Department of Education in Little Rock, Arkansas announced today that they would be approving a new high school level biology textbook that includes a new species on the tree of life: Homo homosexualis. Department of Education officials stated that the reclassification was simply driven by the definition of a species. The Board of Education issued the following statement about the decision:

Our approval of this textbook is driven entirely by the scientific definition of a species. One of the most basic determinants of a species is the ability of its members to breed and produce viable and fertile offspring. It is our understanding that the gays are not capable of breeding successfully with humans. Thus, they should be reclassified as a new species.

The approval, which the Department of Education says is supported by their scientific advisory committee, has sparked some controversy in the state, but has also drawn wide support. Marie Copp, an openly gay woman and LGBT rights activist living in the River Market District of Little Rock, has nothing but scorn for the new textbooks. “This is a despicable attempt to belittle, demean, and literally dehumanize gay individuals,” she said during a telephone interview with National Report.

George Sander, a straight male from Benton, had nothing but praise for the new classification. In an email correspondence with National Report, he had the following insight, “I’ve always known they were a little different. I mean, aside from the guys liking guys and the girls liking girls. The Assam Rape Festival In India Begins This Week

Assam, INDIA — Men in India are already beginning to celebrate as the annual Assam Rape Festival is just days away. Every non-married girl age 7-16 will have the chance to flee to safety or get raped.

Madhuban Ahluwalia who heads up the annual festival told reporters why the event is so important. “This is a long time tradition in Assam dating back thousands of years,” says Ahluwalia. “We rape the evil demons out of the girls, otherwise they will cheat on us and we will be forced to kill them. So it is necessary for everyone.”

You all need to look out for it because it will be very exciting as usual. I will say it the way I see it and I am sure by now most of you know I am not ashamed or afraid to speak my mind.

Anyway let me go to the topic I want to discuss today “keeping your man”.This is for the married women o please this is not targeted at single girls.

Now we know that the one thing men cannot live without apart from money is SEX. In this forum I really don’t care where anyone is from or what religion you belong to, I will be as raw and honest as possible.

I do not understand why women especially Africans do not talk about sex when we know that it is the one thing we do regularly with so much pleasure.

Anyway our men love sex to the max and we know that for a fact. So how come when we are dating them we are so willing to give them what they want even though we know it is wrong. The first few years of marriage is filled with sex almost five times a day in different parts of the house and at odd hours, but after the few years we start to back down, we start to make excuses, we start to see it as a chore and then we let them know that we are really not interested in them physically.

Wow, what happened to the lady fox, the hot chic, the sexy cat that he got married to?
What happened to the babe that would understand the signal he would give and immediately comply?
What happened those times when he would race home to his sexy energetic ever ready wife who would make him feel wanted?
I know that most of you will say “I have kids who wear me out, I have work that drains me, I got older, my sex drive has gone under, I have a headache” to the point that the man will need to get a visa at your “embassy” to visit his favorite place in the World

When you do this to him, how do you expect him to come home everyday to look at your tired, grumpy and unfriendly face?

How would you expect him to come home to you complaining about the plumber, your child that was being rude, and your boss that gave you a hard time?
NOOOOOOO please.

At that point he wants you to take him to that special place were the sky is so wonderful and turn his brain around to the point that all you say will sound like sweet music to his ears.
These men are human beings who go through their own challenges, half of which you don’t even know because they are trying to save you from all the stress.

What annoys me the most is when we women start to complain and nag about the men not having time for us, and how they no longer find us attractive anymore and that’s where the suspicion starts. That’s when the saying comes, “if he is not getting it from me someone else must be giving it to him’.

I don’t encourage cheating at all in fact it goes against what the bible teaches no matter what. I will not also judge anyone who has been caught in a web he is not proud of for one reason or the other. I believe that if we are truly sorry for our sins and we go to God with the determination not to sin again, he is merciful and will forgive us.

In all of this I know that all men are not beasts, neither are they evil because we married them. I also know that men do not get married and carry it at the back of their minds that they must cheat. That’s not how it works please. There are things that we do that trigger things in their brains and these things drive them to do things that they really would not have done. Most of us believe it when they say men don’t think with their brains but they think with their penis. I beg to differ because they know what they are doing and I don’t see how the penis can have a brain that will control the whole body. There is always something that sparks off in the brain that sends the signal to the penis.
You may or may not agree with me but this is what I choose to believe. Most men we married are not so evil and dubious, some may be cowards but cast your mind back to the kind of man you chose to marry and see if there were traces of that character or not.

What men want:
- They want to feel like they are in control of things which is not bad because they are the head.
- They want to feel loved and like it or not they are our first babies who desire words of affirmation no matter how macho they seem.
- They want to feel WANTED all the time, it gives them the confidence that all men crave for.
- They want to know you are still sexually attracted to them.
- They don’t want you to make it obvious that you are smatter even if you are.
- They like their space and alone time.
- They don’t want to come home to a fat mama who is the opposite of the sexy curvy woman he fell in love with, because she let herself go after they got married. Why should she try and look the same? She is married now, who else does she have to impress? WRONG! Men are first of all moved by what they see before anything else. So when they can’t see that anymore or at least an effort to getting back that body that turned them on, they’ll probably lose interest in you and find it someone else.
- They don’t want to come and hug you after work with you are smelling of onions and oil. At least take a shower before he gets there or if there is no time spray perfume.
- They want to come home to a nice smelling neat and tidy home.
- They want to walk into the bedroom with the bed all made up and clothes arranged. Maybe a small note on his pillow saying I love you and I am glad you are home, that definitely puts an automatic smile on his face even if for three seconds, it keeps him interested in you
- They want you to be a good listener not just a talker.
- They want to know that you believe in them and you are proud of them.
- They want to know that no matter what you will have their back and support them, then ask questions later.
- They just want to see that you are making an effort because no human should expect you to be perfect.
- They don’t want another mother but they want you to take care of them the way you would your kids.
- They want a wife, girlfriend, sorry to say (personal call girl) which is not a bad thing because he is your husband who is free to express his sexual desires as long as they are not life threatening or demeaning.

There are so many things I can add and you will not stop reading so let me end this by saying: if you do not try to do at least 60 percent of this regularly, trust me a younger version of you will cross his path and that is exactly how the enemy works. When that younger and more energetic version of you catches his eye, your matter will quietly end. This girl will rock his world so bad that coming home to you will become a chore. These girls can give him all these things and even more that the men find it so difficult to resist. All the money that was supposed to go to you and your children will find their way to her pocket. They can get anything they want from your man because they know the secret to getting and keeping him.

I know that this article will cause a lot of controversial wahala but it is fine because in life people don’t like to hear the truth. This might also be an opportunity for people to make silly comments but the truth is I am loving it all. I finally have the attention of people who will ordinarily not want to listen to me or watch me.

Ladies on a more serious note, if you are guilty of these crimes and are depriving your husband of what is rightfully his then don’t be shocked when a younger version of you gets the best of him.

PlayStation 4 review: Sony's best console yet is off to a shaky start

Sony's latest console is a powerful, intelligently designed gaming machine without a game to recommend it. It's poised to perform well in the years to come, but it's an underwhelming proposition at launch.

The PlayStation 4 marks a turning point for Sony. It’s a humble gaming machine designed to integrate into your living room, a far cry from the pomp and circumstance with which the company debuted its predecessor, the PlayStation 3.

That’s a good thing, since the PS3 proved a prohibitively expensive box that was more difficult to program for and less online-friendly than its competitor, Microsoft’s Xbox 360. Sony’s suffered some well-deserved criticism in the seven years since the PS3’s debut, and seems to have taken that criticism to heart.

The PS4 is a beautiful piece of kit. With ample power under the hood, a controller that’s a joy to hold, and excellent system-level support for social sharing and streaming, Sony’s latest console is poised to perform very well in the years to come.

But right now it’s a little underwhelming. For one, the interface is obtuse. Plus, useful features like DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) streaming are missing. And few of the games you can play on it right now are worth paying attention to, much less buying the system for. It’s a strong base to build from, but Sony still has a lot of work to do if it hopes to conquer the console gaming market.

Another black box

The new PlayStation’s rhomboidal black chassis is deceptively small, and sleek enough to slip unobtrusively into your existing media center. It plays well with most receivers, but forget about composite cables—the PS4 kicks out video via a single HDMI on the back of the box.

That back panel is predictably sparse, sporting just the single HDMI jack, a digital audio out, a port for the power plug, an ethernet jack, and an auxiliary port for the PlayStation Camera (sold separately, naturally). Inside are a pair of radios, one for Bluetooth 2.1 and the other for 802.11 b/n/g wireless, but that’s it as far as connectivity goes. Unlike the Xbox One, which has a back panel festooned with extra USB ports and an HDMI input that can suck up signals from your other devices, the PS4 is ill-equipped to dominate your living room.

I like that Sony built a dedicated jack for the camera on the back of the machine, because it allows you to mount the accessory on top of your TV or media center while keeping its assorted cables tucked neatly out of sight. It’s a nice change from the PS3’s USB PlayStation Eye camera, which often had to be plugged into the front of your console, leaving an unsightly black cord dangling in front of your media center.

The PS4 also sports a pair of front-mounted USB 3.0 ports, and that’s it. It’s a bare-bones box that could charitably be called “streamlined,” so you’ll have to do some port juggling if you want to charge more than two controllers at a time or hook up a flash drive.

While the PS4’s 500GB, 5400 RPM internal hard drive can be replaced, there is no official support for external hard drives. Plug in external storage and you can save screenshots, videos, and saved games, but not store the games themselves. The PS4 currently lacks support for a lot of fringe uses, actually. It can’t play music CDs, stream media over your home network, or run Linux, all of which the PS3 could handle with ease.

Of course, most people—myself included—don’t need their game console to do any of those things. They need it to play games, stream Netflix/Hulu Plus/Amazon Instant Video, and play DVDs/Blu-rays, and Sony’s latest console makes doing those things a breeze, nay a pleasure, thanks to a simplified interface and a vastly improved gamepad.

A better gamepad

The DualShock 4 is the best controller Sony has ever designed. At first glance it looks like a modestly evolved version of the DualShock 3, with a goofy light bar where the four-LED player indicator used to be and a big ol’ clickable two-point capacitive touchpad on top, pushing the PlayStation button down a few centimeters. Flanking the touchpad are the Share and Options buttons, which have replaced the venerable Start and Select buttons. There’s also a mono speaker on the front, which could be really cool if developers use it wisely instead of, say, suddenly squawking out bad audio logs late at night.

The touchpad and lightbar seem like frivolous additions—few games or apps use either in interesting ways. Free-to-play shooter Warframe requires you to swipe and click the touchpad to select and use your powers, for example, while Killzone: Shadow Fallchanges the color of your controller’s lightbar from green to red as your character gets hurt. It’s a neat trick, but seeing as the last thing you’ll probably want to do while playing a really awesome game is look down at your hands, it probably won’t meaningfully improve your gaming experience.

For that kind of evolution, look to the DualShock 4’s sticks and triggers. Both are significantly improved from the DualShock 3, a controller that caught a lot of flak over the years for its rounded analog sticks and lightweight triggers. While I never had much trouble using the DualShock 3, I’ve found the DualShock 4’s sturdier and slightly larger chassis, concave triggers, and redesigned sticks feel significantly better in my hands. Building a small circular depression on the top of each stick makes it much more comfortable to rest your thumbs on them for extended gaming sessions, though I wish the sticks themselves were a little tighter and offered more resistance.

he DualShock 4 still charges via a USB cable, though it charges via micro-USB rather than mini-USB this time around. It’s a nice touch; since most non-Apple smartphones and tablets now come with micro-USB charging cables, you should have no trouble finding extra charging cables lying around. You’ll need ‘em, too. During testing, my DualShock 4’s non-replaceable lithium-ion battery ran out of juice after 7 hours of gaming, a depressingly brief battery life that inspired me to keep my controller plugged into my phone charger so I could refill the battery without having to get off my couch to hook the controller up to the console.

You get a cheap headset, and you get a cheap headset, and you get a cheap headset!

Sony also packs a cheap mono headset into every PS4 box, and you can jack it into the stereo headset jack below the PlayStation button to participate in voice chat or voice control. This headset is perhaps the chintziest piece of technology I’ve ever used, with a single earbud, a mutable mic and an impractical plastic clip connected by a single audio cable.

It looks cheap, and it is cheap—it’s essentially a free pack-in, after all. But there’s a silver lining: While the earbud’s output is muffled at best, the built-in microphone performs remarkably well. Friends in party chat and those watching me stream games complemented the audio quality of the voice chat, but more importantly, they didn’t complain about the mic rubbing against my shirt or picking up extraneous room noise.

Most gaming headsets that connect via USB, optical audio, or 3.5mm audio jack will work with the PS4, though you may need to download a system update first. I tested both thePlantronics Rig and the Astro A50 headsets, and both worked perfectly.

Remote Play works, but it’s not worth buying a Vita for

If you happen to own a PlayStation Vita, I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how well the PS4’s Remote Play feature functions—when both devices are on the same wireless network and in close proximity to one another. I streamed both Killzone: Shadow Fall andResogun to my Vita via Remote Play while I was sitting about twelve feet from the console, and both games looked fantastic on the Vita’s 5-inch OLED screen. I noticed no appreciable input lag or graphical distortion while playing either game—as long as I stayed within fifteen feet and didn’t let any major masonry get between me and my PlayStation 4.

As soon as I took the Vita into the bedroom or the bathroom of my cramped one-bedroom apartment, both games started dropping frames and suffering noticeable graphical distortion. They weren’t unplayable, per se, but they weren’t terribly enjoyable under those conditions. Your mileage may vary based on your own network setup, but if you don’t already own a Vita I wouldn’t recommend picking one up just to play your PS4 games remotely—there’s very little leeway for an ideal experience.

You can also use the Vita (or a smartphone or tablet running the PlayStation App) to do some second-screen stuff with PS4 games, though none of the games available at the time of this writing take compelling advantage of that feature. You can set waypoints inAssassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, for example, or check stats and modify your loadouts inCall of Duty: Ghosts. Stratfor hacker sentenced

Jeremy Hammond, the man responsible for the 2011 attack on Strategic Forecasting Inc., better known as Stratfor, pled guilty to his role in the attack and was sentenced on Friday to serve ten years in federal prison. However, Hammond's supporters maintain that his sentencing, indeed the case itself, was unbalanced and rife with problems from the beginning.

In 2011, the AntiSec movement was resurrected in name. Those supporting AntiSec used its name to target governments, law enforcement, and the private businesses that associated with them. One such business was Strategic Forecasting Inc., better known as Stratfor, a firm in Austin, Texas that provides "geopolitical intelligence" to individuals and organizations across the globe. Earlier this past May, Jeremy Hammond admitted that he was responsible for the Stratfor incident as part of a plea agreement reached with the U.S. attorney's office.

In December of 2011, Hammond—encouraged by fellow-AntiSec supporter Hector Xavier Monsegur (a.k.a. Sabu), who was a cooperating witness for the FBI at the time—breached Stratfor's servers, by exploiting a vulnerability in the Plesk management system used to support the company's website.

Once access was granted, Hammond downloaded various archives containing poorly protected email addresses and passwords, and a backup copy of Stratfor's corporate email. Prior to Hammond's involvement, another person compromised Stratfor's credit card processing, and stole some 60,000 records. The breach was made public by AntiSec on December 24, 2011.

Stratfor data released

Hammond admitted that he shared the stolen Stratfor emails (amounting to some 5 million messages) with Wikileaks. However, in addition to the communications shared by Hammond, a list of 860,100 email addresses and passwords were leaked to the public. According to court filings, the 60,000 credit card records that were taken during the incident were used to run up "at least $700,000 worth of unauthorized charges," from December 6, 2011, until early February 2012.

As part of his plea, Hammond admitted to his role in the Stratfor incident in exchange for a reduced possible sentence from 12.5 to 15.5 years, to a single charge that carries a maximum of ten years. Supporters for Hammond had encouraged the judge to be lenient, but instead U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska followed the recommendations of the prosecutors and sentenced him to the maximum term.

After he was fingered by FBI's witness (Monsegur), Hammond's supporters questioned the role the "snitch" played in the case, calling for investigations into the government's actions. In statements made by Hammond, which the court attempted to have redacted, but only after the information had leaked, Monsegur (allegedly on the FBI's behalf) encouraged Hammond to target various organizations and governments as part of the AntiSec movement.

Hammond says that Monsegur encouraged him to use his Plesk exploit, as well as his other skills, to target "numerous foreign government websites in Brazil, Turkey, Syria, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Nigeria, Iran, Slovenia, Greece, Pakistan, and others."

"All of this happened under the control and supervision of the FBI and can be easily confirmed by chat logs the government provided to us pursuant to the government's discovery obligations in the case against me. However, the full extent of the FBI's abuses remains hidden. Because I pled guilty, I do not have access to many documents that might have been provided to me in advance of trial, such as Sabu's communications with the FBI," Hammond wrote.

Sentencing rationale

Adding fuel to the fire, Hammond supporters noted that Judge Preska is married to one of the Stratfor victims, but attempts to have her removed from the case by the defense were not successful. As to the claims that the FBI condoned the attack against Stratfor in order to build a case, as well as encouraged it and other like it, the Department of Justice has previously disputed those claims, and had nothing to say about it on the day Hammond was sentenced.

Detractors say that Hammond got what he deserved, and that his previous criminal convictions warranted his lengthy sentence. In fact, most of those speaking out against Hammond on Twitter simply point to existing law and leave it at that; "...if you don't want to spend 10 years in prison, don't break the law," one person remarked shortly after sentencing was announced.

However, for his part, Hammond knew his actions could, and in all likelihood would, earn him further time behind bars. That didn't deter him from his actions, just as his conviction will fail to deter others in the future.

"Yes I broke the law, but I believe that sometimes laws must be broken in order to make room for change," Hammond told the court on Friday.

With credit for time served, as well as good behavior, Hammond could be released in September 2021.
