We've moved! Creatures staff are hip, cool, trendy, typical Tulane students. Therefore we have moved to http://creaturesoftulane.tumblr.com/ to keep up with the current blogging trends. This allows you to easily follow us, submit to us via our website, and enjoy all your fellow creatures.

See you on Tumblr and thanks for your continued support.

Finalz or, you know, whatever.

2012-05-07T00:21:00.002-05:00

So, it has come to our attention that many of the submissions we've gotten are either really weird or posed. I don't know about you guys but some of these posed pics are still creature-y in our minds. So, sorry about the hiatus. Enjoy our factoid post below as an apology. And enjoy some of these study snacks. Don't you love when we come back from hiatus just to distract you during finals? (Let's be honest, you weren't going to study for that Spanish 201 test anyways)

Clearly this person was meant to live in Wall

I wouldn't put "Photoshop" as a skill on your resume

Posed? Not? I don't know, but its weird.

I bet this was taken at Walgreens or Wal-Mart. The W stores have it all.

Another questionably posed photo.

And another photoshopped masterpiece

Nothing good ever happens at the Rat

Nothing good happens when someone wears a tiara

Sorority Slideshow Picture?

Take note of the creatures of the background

This person should probably transfer to Loyola, or rally

But seriously, who ARE these creatures?

Good luck on finals! Send us some more pictures for distraction. And guesss what, we're not going anywhere.

Trick or Treat, Give Us Some Creature Treats

2011-10-27T14:35:00.001-05:00

Dear "Students", Staff, and Creatures of Tulane,

We would like to officially kick-off Halloween weekend with a little treat for all of our fans. We know that this weekend will involve many tricks (who hasn't tried to do a handstand or split after one too many shots at the Palms?) and many treats (our favorite treats come in the form of hilarious creature pics...or free shots). Please be vigilant this weekend and snap as many pictures of those creatures you can with your trusty BlackBerry or Iphone. We guarantee your Halloween hangover will be much better with some excellent post-Halloween posts.

Happy Trick or Treating!

xoxo,

Staff

Here is an example of creatures at their best, at a costume party

Some creatures like to think outside the box

Other creatures believe that clothing is optional in all party situations

Even lonely creatures can find friends

Tulane accommodates for all creatures. Party on the 3rd floor?

The Rat just has so many options, what's a creature to do?

And occasionally creatures from outside Tulane will come in, hide in a vending machine, and give prizes to Tulane students.

Reily is too much for some creatures to handle

A great example of an acceptable costume for all Tulane functions

Drunk nomz at the Rat, take 2

Tulane students have a real love for the arts

Have a great weekend creatures!

Please submit any pics to creaturesoftulane@gmail.com

P.S. Have an idea for the blog? Send us your thoughts, we love to hear from our fans!

Fall Recruitment

2011-10-11T22:31:00.003-05:00

My Dearest Creatures,

It has come to our attention that our campus is flooded with tons of prespective students. Remember when all our perspective students visit campus to be on your best behavior, because what we all want is a huge crop of new creatures joining us next fall. Remember everyday is recruitment at Tulane.

Let's take a look at some memorable Tulane moments, courtesy of your fellow creatures:

Leggo Tulane! Our cheerleaders perform at the same level as our D1 football team.

Tulane students take homecoming, the one day we pretend to be an SEC school, seriously

We've got it together

We're all a little feminist

We don't discriminate based on hair color

Nothing can stop us from gettin some, even a brick wall...

...a box can't stop us either [P.S. We have nice packages]

We make the best of friends...

And there is always somewhere to lay your head when the day is done.

Well creatures its apparent we're all a bit tired and are in need of a break...perhaps a FALL BREAK?

xoxo,

Creatures

P.S. Don't forget our gmail account isn't on break, please stay vigilant in your search for creatures (pics of creatures on vacation count!) creaturesoftulane@gmail.com

One Year Strong, Creature On

2011-10-09T21:50:00.000-05:00

Dearest Tulanians,

WE'REEE BACKKKK

Welcome back. We know we've been slacking in our posts, but as all Tulane students we work hard, play harder and are pretty lazy about everything else. Naturally, this includes blogging. (Because seriously who actually keeps up with their blog after the first month). Anyways, in honor of our inaugural post we have crafted this special anniversary post. Enjoy. Remember, keep calm and creature on.

xoxo,

Staff

This friendly creature who loves to party, is now accepting friendship applications.

Obviously forgot the cardinal rule of college: never pass out with your shoes on

LOOK! Tulane built dorms for our favorite residents, the feral cats! These facilities are nicer than Sharp or Monroe and the rent is fixed at $0. Meow.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Tulane population must go through this one functioning door to access to edible food.

Attention Boys: Now you know why girls always go to the bathroom together.

Special.

Half time in a typical Tulane night out

Beware of the Creatures of Howie T

As Regina would say: "On Wednesdays we wear pink"

SUCCESS! Application accepted. Creatures always find creatures to love.

Stay wild creatures.

The Final FOUR

2011-04-03T00:25:00.000-05:00

From coast to coast, the most talented and driven have competed for the title. The following are the final four, ready to take on the competition and be named the WINNER.

Our first team, pictured above is a HARD working crew from the midwest, ready to blow away the competition!

The next team, from the nudest state of Wyoming will blind the competition with their smiles, and perhaps distract them with their unconventional uniforms

This lone ranger will do anything to make sure he takes away the prize, just wait until you see the rest of his teammates sporting guap green

From their point with the lobster head, to the strong forwards, and the focus of the right guard these boys are determined to bring home the championship

Stay tuned to see who will take home the title.
XOXO,
Creatures

The Elite 8

2011-03-28T21:49:00.000-05:00

WE MADE IT!!!!!

Get your game faces on!!!

We're about to smother the competition!

Our skills on the court are just as good as our skills with the paprazzi!

Stay hydrated so you won't be seeing sideways for the big day!

Our team is sure to make healthy food choices...

and do all their pre-game stretches!

The cheerleaders will be dressed to impress!

If you hit up the concession stands before the game you'll be sure to get a mouthful as well as an eyeful!!!!

Let's take the title home creatures!!!!!

xoxo

Please keep submitting over the holidays, pictures of creatures in their natural habitats or old creature photos you may come across. Remember, creatures will be creatures, at Tulane or not.

Hope y'all passed your finals!
