LEWISTON, Maine &#8211; Throughout the 12 years since it relocated to central Maine, Crestline Custom Promotional Products, a direct marketing company that sells custom imprinted promotional products, has worked closely with the Share Center, an Auburn, Maine&#45;based non&#45;profit, to distribute its business surplus items to teachers in area classrooms. In the last three years alone, Crestline has donated more than &#36;150,000 worth of items to area schools through the Share Center. The gift of these items has helped to relieve some of the pressure on local school budgets at a time when state lawmakers are working to reduce the amount of money needed to fund public education.

&#34;I believe strongly in the importance of supporting public education and giving young people the tools they need to succeed,&#34; said Judy Paradis, vice president and general manager of Crestline.

During the same three&#45;year period, Crestline associates volunteered more than 500 hours at Montello Elementary School, a K&#45;6 school serving more than 800 students in the Lewiston Public School District. Crestline associates have given their time to Montello students in numerous ways, including helping beginning readers brush up on their skills, building relationships during an after&#45;school mentoring program, running a math club for gifted students, having students shadow them at work, exchanging email correspondence, serving picnic food during an outside fun day, and helping to organize an annual Oscar&#45;style &#34;Night of the Stars&#34; celebration for the school&#39;s most talented young writers. A majority of associates&#39; volunteer hours took place during the workday.

In addition to these volunteer hours, Crestline associates also raised money for the Montello School fund, which helps to pay for special purchases and events to benefit Montello students.
