January Nordecke Social: Three Legged Mare

The second in a series of monthly fundraisers for the Nordecke Tifo Fund will be next Friday January 20th at the new Three Legged Mare in the Arena District. Each time a select beer or shot is sold during this event a portion of the proceeds will be donated to pay for the giant crowd displays created by the Columbus Crew supporters groups.

There is no cover for this event and the party starts at 4pm and goes until the place closes. This event is open to the public, you do not need to be a supporters group member to attend so invite your friends!

$1 will go to the TIFO fund. (Allowing for more and better banners to be made in 2012 and beyond!!)

First Annual Crew Union Holiday Party

Come celebrate the season and an excuse to get together in the middle of the off-season by joining us at the first ever Crew Union Holiday Party! We'll be gathering at Fourth Street on December 17th for an evening of holiday cheer.

Toys-for-Tots

We'll be collecting toys and donations for the Marine Toys-for-Tots program. Please bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to this great cause. For more info please visit the local site: http://columbus-oh.toysfortots.org/

White Elephant Raffle

We're raffling off a number of prizes of debatable quality, but we're hoping to find these items a great home. Some of the items include a long sleeve game worn home Kevin Burns jersey, game worn Danny O'Rourke shorts, scarves, t-shirts and some bar swag donated by Fourth Street.

All 2011 Crew Union members will get one raffle ticket and anyone who's at least put down a deposit for 2012 Crew Union season tickets will get five raffle tickets. Will of course be accepting deposits for 2012 season tickets if you want to get those in. More info on season tickets can be found on CrewUnion.com.

Free Food

Fourth Street is graciously providing some free food for the event as a thank you to all of us for the great first year we've had together. We think it's been a first great year as well and appreciate the gesture.

2011 Playoff Tickets

While the Crew have not locked up a spot yet, the odds are good and the nature of this business is that we need to start selling playoff tickets now. Currently the Crew are 3rd in the East and would host Philladelphia either Sat Oct. 29 or Sun Oct. 30 with the second leg at Philly either Wed Nov. 2 or Thur Nov. 3. If the Crew move up to 1st or 2nd in the East they would be away on the weekend and host midweek.

$17 - For 2011 Season Ticket Holders with Crew Union and those who've made a deposit for 2012 (Includes playoff scarf)
$20 - Crew Union Members
$23 - Non-Crew Union Members

We'll have the Crew 2011 playoff scarfs for all season ticket holders buying tickets and first-come-first-serve for our remainging stock.

2012 Season Tickets

The Crew have announced their season ticket prices for 2012. If you would like to get your tickets through Crew Union in the Nordecke you can place a $20 deposit through our webstore or at the next Crew Union event. While you can go through the front office to get tickets in the Nordecke, the supporters groups receive additional funds when members purchase season tickets through us. Those funds go towards things like tailgates, bus trips, tifo, etc.

Cost:

We worked with the Crew and are able to maintain the $306 cost of season tickets through Crew Union, the same as this year's season tickets in the Nordecke. Unlike last year however we're now including your 2012 Crew Union membership into the cost, a $20 value.

Cost: $306 ($17/game)

Compare to 2011 Individual Tickets:

Members: $20/game
Non-Members: $23/game

Over $3k Raised at Crew Celebrity Bartending Night

Another competition with the other supporter groups and another win for Crew Supporters Union. In all honesty most of the credit for raising the most money last night has to go to Jeff Cunningham who went all out. As you can see above he was dressed to the nines with a gold cumberbun and black bowtie. He also ran around signing things for tips that would go to benefit Crew Soccer Foundation. The cherry on top however was auctioning off his future record breaking jersey, signed of course, which went for $2,500!

Most stayed for the US-Mexico friendly and saw a great debut for new coach Jurgon Klinsman. The bar exploded when Robbie Rogers tied the match up in the second half, his second US goal in the last 12 months.

Crew Union 2011-2012 EPL Predictor & Fantasy Leagues

For those interested in competing against other members Crew Union will be running two 'leagues' this EPL season. The first is a predictor league where you predict the results of matches, the second is a fantasy league where you pick your squad. Join one or both before the real league kicks off Saturday!

Crew Celebrity Bartending and US-Mexico Watch Party Wednesday

The Columbus Crew along with sponsors Budweiser and 97.1 The Fan have organized a celebrity bartending event for Wednesday, August 10th. Three Crew players will each be running a beer tub with a supporter from each group (Crew Union, Hooligans and La Turbina Amarilla). We've heard the players will be Jeff Cunningham, Justin Meram and Andy Gruenebaum.

All of the tips given will be donated to the Crew Soccer Foundation, and a party will be sponsored for the group that sells the most beer!

The celebrity bartending will take place 7-9pm, following that the US under new coach Jurgen Klinsmann take on rival Mexico in a friendly. Stick around to check out the manager's debut and cheer on the yanks at 9pm!

If you're feeling like really making a night of it karaoke will be going on the rest of the evening!
