The master stateroom encompasses two walk-in closets. Private bathrooms with exquisite stonework in masculine and feminine hues adorns the bathroom counters, floors, and backsplashes and have an adjoining shower with steam options. The ladies bathroom includes a relaxing Jacuzzi tub, bidet, and a vanity with large mirrored panels. Lighting in the master can be controlled and dimmed through different locations including the bedside tables. Jocara history Jocara was designed and built by Alan Orams in Whangarei, New Zealand in 1974. She was the first of eleven Orams 52s that were taken off the same mold. When first built Jocara was named Lilone and was the sister ship to Alan Orams own yacht Realm which was the second hull off the mold. Orams 52s are now spread throughout the world and have a reputation as fantastic, safe and seaworthy offshore cruising boats. Dr. John Potter - Owner John works at the Tropical Marine Science Institute (TMSI, part of the National University of Singapore) as a Research Associate Professor. Islander is a 46 Irwin, 50-ft overall staysail ketch. Our specialties are family vacations, couples sailing adventures, and sailing instruction. Capt. Charlie can certify you in sailing, coastal cruising and bareboat chartering with ASA certificates. Lots of water toys on board for children and playful adults... sailing/rowing dinghy, 2-person inflatable kayak, inflatable floats, tubes, snorkel gear... and it's all included, even the dinghy sailing lessons.
