Hidden smileys on Crickee?

When you're on a Public Hall or writing your messages, you can access to a block of 30 smileys but sometimes you see some others you can't find on the frame ?

This is normal ;-) There are hidden smileys on Crickee !

Here are a few. You just have to write the text, then send and tadam your fav smiley appears. That's magic

Internet is a kind of stone on which is engraved the entire history of the web.

Sometimes the information you'll find is accurate, sometimes they are no longer valid.

This applies to the "send free SMS" on Crickee. 3 years ago when Crickee was launched, this feature was the heart of our business.

Things have now changed, sms unlimited packages have increased and so did your aspirations.

Crickee has evolved according to your expectations towards more social networking, more gaming, more pictures ...

The "send free SMS" feature is unfortunately no longer available since several months.

If you found Crickee as a site through which you can send free sms, information is not updated despite the care we have taken to update and widely disseminate information all over the web.

However, you can still download the Crickee mobile application that lets you send messages from mobile to mobile incoming http://crickee.com in the browser of your mobile. All your contacts listed on Crickee and a member of your tribe and receive messages on their mobile and on the web. For more info http://www.crickee.com/go/mobile

What's the window "Invite friends" which opens when I enter Crickee?

When you log into your Crickee account, a window "Invite Friends" opens.

It allow you to find your friends who are already registered at Crickee and invite via email those who are not yet to join.

2. Choose your network (MSN, ICQ and many others) and complete the form.
Reminder: We do not keep your password and this function can only be used by you.

3. Select the contacts to invite. Crickee will find then those of your contacts already registered, they will be placed directly in your tribe, and those who will receive your invitation. Then, they just have create their free account to find you on Crickee.

And voila! If this window does not open, it means that you recently invited friends. Simply click on "Invite friends" at the top right of your Crickee page to repeat the maneuver with new friends.

How do buy a Star on Crickee?

Here are the steps to get a Star for yourself or to offer to another Crickee member, allowing not only a more visible profile but also lower price in Crickee Gifts Shop:

Click on Buy a star or from your profile page or by visiting one of the person you wish to offer a Star, in this case, click on Offer a Star!

Select your network and enter your mobile number

Enter the code received by sms on your mobile. And voila! Within seconds the star will appear on your profile, or to whom you choose to offer a Star!

Note: If you complete the purchase, ie giving the code sent into your mobile phone, it won't be possible to cancel your purchase.

However, if you do not send the code received by sms on your mobile phone, you will not get your Star, and so you will not be charged.

Why does Crickee sometimes crash my internet browser?

Note: If Crickee runs slowly on your system, this could be because you have a slow bandwidth connection or your computer. And in this case, we unfortunately can't help. Please contact your Internet service provider.

We constantly test Crickee on Macs and PCs. As of today, Crickee is stable when using the latest version of Internet Explorer, FireFox or Chrome browsers.

But sometimes, it crashes with older versions.

So, please, download the latest browser on your system.

We can't help each user upgrade their system, but for more info please visit these pages regarding:

For a better result, Crickee recommands FireFox and Chrome rather than Internet Explorer and to clear your temporary files and caches daily, and more often if you visit multiple pages.

How do I use my webcam on Crickee?

You've talked to very interesting people on Crickee and now you want to continue the conversation via your webcam?

Unfortunately, this feature is not yet available on Crickee. We have received your requests on this way.
Our technical team is working on a solution that will one day offer this feature.

In the meantime, slower but just as exciting, you can create and ask your friends to create slide-show (how to?) of your best photo or a theme that you enjoy, so you can share and better know you each other.

What is considered NSFW (Not Safe For Work)?

NSFW, Not suitable/safe for work is a tag used in interactive discussion areas (such as public hall, ping or private messages) to mark URLs or hyperlinks which may be sexually explicit or include audio containing profanity, helping the reader avoid potentially objectionable content.

It has particular relevance for individuals making personal use of the Internet at workplaces or schools which have policies prohibiting (even inadvertent) access to sexually explicit images. Companies and universities frequently adopt such policies because they regard the presence of sexually explicit images as a misuse of company property (or education resources) and, potentially, a violation of sexual harassment policy.

Determining a site to be NSFW is invariably subjective.
NSFW is also sometimes used to refer to any media that produces sound, such as a game or video file; the implication being that the noises may alert others in the vicinity that the user is viewing entertainment materials instead of working.

The opposite, SFW (safe for work) is sometimes used when the context or the URL itself would otherwise indicate that something is not worksafe; for example:

http://www.example.com/pussy.jpg (SFW) would probably link to a picture of a cat rather than that of a vagina ;-)

After reading our chart, and in case of doubt, a simple way is to mark NSFW any content you would not send to your mother, your kids or your boss :-)

How to receive (or stop receiving) Crickee notifications?

Some of you wish to receive alerts on the latest Crickee activities on their account, others prefer check their account and receive no alert.

How to set this feature?

Nothing more simple:

Login into your Crickee account
Click on Me then Settings

Scroll down to Notifications settings

And voilà, there you go. Obviously you can change these settings as you like, more or less often, while on vacation for example.

Is it usual to hear a singing cricket when I'm on Crickee?

Of course! You are not dreaming, this is perfectly normal! Winter or summer, Crickee is set to sing.

This cricket's song is the sign that you have just received a new message.
Click on My Messages and you can immediately read the message and respond.

How to enable / disable this sound?

Easy as a pie:

Login to your Crickee account.
Click on Me and then Settings.

Scroll down to Notifications settings. Check or uncheck Sound alert.

And voilà, there you go. Obviously you can change these settings as often as you like, whether you want to be alerted in real time of the arrival of new messages while you chat on the Public Hall or you create a Slide Show or you do something else on your computer.
