Department of Homeland Security (DHS) had released a few minute YOU Tube Info about PROTECTING YOU IN THE WORKPLACE. After analysis of the DHS Info cast..(one which looks like it's a remake from 1970's information gov't documentary) The way that I can report my findings, after more than 40 years in Law Enforcement and the Security Industry, including as an Adjunct Professor at Rutgers University of New Jersey, and Technical and Co-Author of the leading investigative reference book," Criminal & Civil Investigations Handbook 1st ed...1981 2nd ed 1993, the DHS Video reminds me of the games that kids play.

It's called "Rock, Paper, Scissors Cut" You see the DHS instruction advises that one who becomes a victim of a potential mass assault or murder in the workplace, school or even shopping mall, instructs that you can use a scissors to stop the gunman...

Considering the tragedy in Connecticut, at; Columbine, Phoenix Congress & many State Governor's are trying to address the National Epidemic of GUN MAYHEM. It seems their sights are blurry at best, indifferent and lacks integrity and the truth.

Yes, we've seen violence at the school in Sandy Hook, Newton Connecticut, (what a nightmare for the families and the nation) or at the Century Theater in Aurora, Colorado, or the attempted assassination of Rep. Gifford, with the murdering of many of her admirer's, however the reaction to limiting gun control needs careful evaluation and consideration.

Listening to media talking heads who often find favor for gun control, especially "assault rifles", and President Obama, V.P. Biden as well as many others calling for gun control forget that the legal and licensed gun owners are most often not the problem. It's the thugs, gangsters and Gang members who have access to guns through "straw buyers", like the one in the "FAST & FURIOUS" Justice Department sting operation. That's the problem!

A look at the murder rate in Chicago, 500 for the 2012 year, originates from criminal gang activity, random drive-by shootings and indiscriminate gun fire it's not coming from licensed gun owners.

At Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Connecticut, this was not a random act of violence, but rather the mentally challenged son of a licensed gun owner, murdered by him. She lacked the discipline of gun control in her home. Therefore, should the families who live in a home with a legal gun be evaluated for mental stability to allow the owner to maintain the weapon. In this case, the mother had no control over the weapons nor could she deal with her disturbed son. With regrets one has to blame the deceased mother for a lack of control and safety of the weapons. It's again not the gun that kills, but rather the person pulling the trigger. In this case it's also the responsibility of the licensed gun owner to secure the weapons.

Whether it's an AR-15 semi-automatic weapon or a 9 mm, Glock control of the weapon, security of the weapons and proper training of the licensed gun owner is required. It's not the power of the AR-15. This is not a military weapon, it's a "look-a-like" type without the automatic firing construction An assault weapon is that of AUTOMATIC military configuration, not a single trigger pull weapon. The difference is that the AR-15 weapon assault look-a-like requires the trigger to be pulled each time it fires. It may be able to rapid fire similar to an automatic, HOWEVER, it requires that the trigger must be pulled each time.

It is already illegal to possess an automatic weapon within the United States, other than Law Enforcement and Military. I agree that we do not need a clip of bullets in excess of 10 rounds of ammunition, and to limit the cartridge to a 10 round clip. More weapons training is necessary. More than the 40 hours of weapons training that some states require, while others use a 16 hour training program.

REMEMBER, the criminal will never go to get licensed, trained or even secure the weapon.

New York and New Jersey "Wiseguys" ( Mafia types) always practiced on particular farms in upstate New York or New Jersey. They were not Licensed and used automatic handguns, AK-47's and shotguns.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, Maricopa County, Arizona law enforcement fame has announced his position on how to protect School Children, Teachers and Administrators during school hours. He claims to have been conducting this method for many years at times when certain schools in the Phoenix area have had violence in or near the school.

After the Newtown, Connecticut school massacre Sheriff Joe has put in place "POSSES" who are ARMED and TRAINED by the Sheriff;s Office at each of the more than 200 schools in the Phoenix Arizona area. This "posse" consists of volunteer citizens. It was not clear if they are paid public servants or Deputized by the Sheriff to help chase down bad guys as they do in the "Ole WEST".

This is not necessarily the solution to the existing problem facing all Americans, but it offers some temporary remedy to a better controlled school environment. I wonder if this will spread across America...

IF so; I envision a "NATIONAL SCHOOL POSSE" program instituted by some Organized Labor group the likes of the UFT or the SEIU..then a demand for equal pay and guaranteed dues check-off with a mandate of all Posse members being nationalized under a new entity which the government will create. This will become an added tax burden for school districts and Unionization and dues by the "National School Safety Officer's Association". Something similar to the TSA...but with "touchy, feely groping searches of all who wish to enter the school grounds. This will include parents, children, staff, teachers, and other visitors.

They'll keep the school safer from gun attacks, until one of the National School Safety members is caught groping a child in the hallway, men's room or even a closet. Then we'll hear that the Safety officer had NO HISTORY but we have suspended him/her "WITH PAY" pending investigation.

This is somewhat like the NYC Board of Education "RUBBER ROOM" where teachers accused of misconduct, sometimes against children or even other teachers, linger for years on the payroll awaiting administrative judgement. They report each day to a classroom at the School Board's Offices and languish each day waiting thier turn. Some wait years before administration hearings are imposed and final decisions are rendered. During this period they are receiving benefits, salary and building to there pension.

Welcome to the new American Order...Social Protection by Government. We must be ready for the government, the Congress and the President to impose such a solution to school violence.

Immediately after learning about the Newtown, Connecticut mass murder rampage against our children the talking heads, you all know them, the politicians, the news heads, the anti-gun cavalry, the ex-cops who claim expertise, the left, the right and even the middle all are great arm chair psycho-analysts..

But today and all this week the television news shows, cable news and specials which will concentrate on the murders, the family stories, the victims and even the shooter and his mom, and suggest how to fix the national problem with simple solutions to a complex problem.

The mass murders being reported while some talking heads began the analysis of the shooter. They used such adjectives as "evil", "crazy" or even described him as "troubled". At the same time they were mis-identifying him due to the hurry-up news announcements released by the Connecticut State Police, Local Police and the gathered Network Reporters.

Let's review the past mass shootings across America;

Virginia Tech - a lone gunman using semi-automatic weapons

Columbine High School - students ambushed by two students who created this scheme to kill classmates.

Aurora, Colorado - "Dark Night" Batman Movie..lone gunman crashes into theater through fire exit and kills

Phoenix Arizona - Congresswomen ...shot and killed who came to watch a political event.

Portland, Oregon. Shopping Mall Gunman opens fire with semi-automatic guns killing

These are the most recent mass killing across America.

Now let's look at everyday life for many inner-city families and kids.....killings, killings, killings every weekend, during weekdays, automatic and semi automatic weapons. Chicago, the leading city of killings, gang warfare and turf control for the drug trade, human smuggling and initiation tops the list.New York Citty, Brooklyn, Queens killings and gang warfare for the same reasons. California, both gang warfare mixed with drug smuggling, MS13 control, Illegals entering the U.S. and drug smugglers and human trafficking across the borders from New Mexico, Texas, California.

America has it's hands full.

Now we are going to hear from Sen.Diane Feinstien, Ca. about gun controls, from others who demand a change in the 2nd Amendment Some suggesting the outlawing of bullets, therefore gun owners can't use the weapons. Higher taxation on bullets, better background checks for gun owners, and even GPS tracking of the weapons.

What's the solution? Difficult to answer! Many suggestions from the so-called experts, from the Television Psycho Therapists and the lawyers. We must not forget the lawyers. Defense attorneys, Civil Litigators, and Prosecutors.

Where have they been the past few years. Talking "CRAP" then fade out of the limelight after thier 15 minutes of fame.

Fox News had Bob Costas on the O'Reilly Factor explaining his position. He was honest, concerned about the mis-representations being reported about his statements during the Halftime Football Show. He clearly defines his position as not ANTI- 2nd Amendment or even Gun Control, but explains that he never called for gun control or 2nd Amendment appeal.

He went on to explain that he may not have been clear on his point, a well taken point that thier is a culture of guns which permeates throughout America. He went on to explain that in the NFL many players have guns. He doesn't understand why.

He went on to say that he agrees with the 2nd Amendment and the "Right to Bear Arms".

I'd like to take this moment in time to explain one theory why many NFL players have guns.

* Because they have the right to possess a gun, or many guns.

* Sudden Wealth, expensive toys, cars, homes and bling..

* Growing up in communities that are often plagued with violence.

* Concerned about their safety and family safety.

I do agree with Costas that all gun owners, legitimate registered owners, should be regulated by training certification on the Use, Safety, Laws and Control of the Weapon. I also believe that ALL Gun Owners should receive psychological evaluations and approval.

In addition, if a gun owner has interaction with law enforcement authorities, depending on the reason, it may warrant an evaluation as to the ownership of a gun and license. Incidents of drug use, domestic violence, DUI or even physical confrontations should trigger an immediate evaluation.

In the Belcher matter, it's being reported that he possessed 8 guns. He had previous issues of domestic violence and had alcohol related issues. People close to him knew, yet all remained silent rather than getting him HELP. He needed intervention by friends, family and the NFL. The night of the shooting he needed intervention by the Kansas Police when he was stopped before the killing. It didn't happen. My belief it wasn't going to happen because he was a local celebrity and Pro Football player.

Now we only have sorrow and questions.

Costas was not wrong in his thoughts but rather rough in his delivery and his timing of the delivery.

Americans have been treated to the sidelines of political theater by watching the Sunday Sports Halftime rant of NBC Sports Caster Bob Costas. Two days later Costas is in restatement mode, adjusting his statement to an audience stunned by the MURDER/SUICIDE by Kansas City Chiefs Jovan Belcher.

The sporting life of fans across the world heard the first portion of the Murder/Suicide before Costas had his chance to ponder the Constitutional issue of the Second Amendment "Right to Bear Arms". Today, Costas went on to explain that he is not against Gun ownership or the Second Amendment but rather he was exploring the issue of domestic violence and guns.

Domestic Violence and Guns is a long standing issue. It's not a racial problem, nor a sports problem but rather a social condition. What were the signals to the fellow players and coaches that Jovan Belcher displayed to players, friends and coaches that he was having troubles. It wasn't when he showed up in front of the Coach and blew his brains out. It wasn't when he killed his girlfriend. Jovan was a professional football player, a team member, and a distress human Someone knew he was having problems, others knew he had anger issues, many are in denial.

This tragedy could have been prevented had anyone intervened. The team, coaches, players or even the police. It's reported today across the media giants that Jovan was stopped by police the night before at 2 am + in his car on the other side of town. Where was he and why was he there? The answer came in his visit to another girlfriend The police report that he was not suspected of being drunk...SO !!! They told him to go up to where he was visiting. He complied. He was there after an argument with girlfriend Kasandra, the mother of his three month old daughter. She was still alive.

At approximately 6:30 in the morning he returned to Kasandra.. It;s reported by Fox and CNN news that an argument erupted between the two and Jovan took one of his guns and shot Kasandra numerous times. She was dead. He then drove to the KC Chiefs Stadium, and proceeded to kill himself in front of the coaches. What a tragedy.

Where was Costas when Jovan showed signs of trouble some years ago with another domestic violence incident. Where was the NFL or the K.C. Chiefs. Where was his teammates, and more importantly, where was his family.

This is not accusing anyone of looking the other way...after all he's a pro-footballl player, a somewhat celebrity. Did the police who stop Jovan the night of the shooting not complete the stop by not only an interview on the street, but a questioning and DUI Test at 2:30 in the AM..asleep in his car....Was it because he was a pro footballer for the local KC Chiefs. Therefore, the game is Sunday, the season is going, let's give the guy a break!!!

Everyone has to evaluate there own actions pertaining to the contact they had with him leading up to the Murder/Suicide. More important, who else do we know who are on the edge, they don't have to be celebrities, athletes or even news reporters. What intervention did you take today?..Probably none! No one want to GET INVOLVED....Take the next step...DON'T IGNORE! EXPLORE !!

NOW Alternate ODD-EVEN Gas rationing. Where's the Military Gas Transports as promised?

After evaluating the NON-RESPONSE of the White House and State Department to the killing of Diplomat Stevens and the three others in Benghazi, Libya I'm concerned!!! Are our leaders in the White House, Justice Department and State Department confused?

The question is the indifference the action or lack thereof raises;

What is "WAR"? It's defined as physical conflict between states governments and other organizations against a particular state or government.

This is NOT a CRIMINAL ACTION !!! Yet, the Obama Administration 's reaction or non-action suggests that this is a Criminal act. So what do they do? Send the FBI to investigate.!!! Ridiculous!!!

This act of WAR against American citizens, government employees and the U.S. Embassy is a concerted effort of the ongoing war by terror elements and the United States.

President Obama must send in the U.S. MARINES to protect our Embassies, Government Employees and families on these foreign soils. The investigation into what really happened must be administered by the NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Services) or other military and foreign service agents, including the State Department's Security Division and the Central Intelligence Agency. In a comment sent to Crimetalkamerica regarding the Murder of NYPD Officer Phillip Cardillo, it's been brought to our attention that the officer being dragged in the photo that was published by the New York press,was not Officer Cardillo, but rather Officer Randy Jurgensen.,

We make the correction for the record. The premises of our report was that after so many years..NYPD has not completely and publicly presented the truth in the MURDER of Officer Cardillo. The cover up and divisive actions by that the likes of the Charlie Rangle's of the world allowed the unrest which caused Harlem and many other communities to explode into violence and turmoil,

NYPD members work to PROTECT & SERVE all communities honestly, fairly and with equal justice for all

Political influence, political expedience and at the expense of the Cardillo and NYPD family an unjust,injustice prevails even today, 2012.

In December 1956 in a movie theater in Brooklyn, NY 1500 people were watching the movie "War & Peace".when a BOMB under a seat exploded, seriously injuring 6 people. Bombs were placed in public spaces, Port Authority Building (Bus Terminal), Subway cars, and the World famous Radio City Music Hall.

The MAD BOMBER, later determined to be George Metesky of Stanford, Connecticut was a simple man, living with his two sisters, calm looking, "school teacher" type..nondescript yet held NYC Hostage for years. His reasoning was he was angry over his employment with NY's Consolidated Edison, He claimed to have been hurt on the job that caused his loss of his job at the power company of NYC.

He was captured near his home. Inside components of other bombs were found. Metetsky was declared to be a paranoid schizophrenic and was sent to a mental health facility. While his bombs never killed anyone, he injured many and put a The largest city in the World in fear.

He was released 17 years later after being deemed competent. He went back to Connecticut and lived out his life until he passed away in 1994.

The story here, is that his defense of MENTAL Paranoid Schizophrenia allowed him not to serve a day in prison.

Chicago finds that a weekly gang shooting takes the lives of many in the community, including innocent children. New York City has been experiencing more gun gang warfare on the streets with an increase in the murder rate and many children caught in the crossfire...California, Texas, Virginia, Florida...etc....

It's a political year..Congress can't get together to get anything done...the war of words about the economy, health care and unemployment seems to be most important, while our inner cities and suburbs are overwhelmed with gang activity, turf wars, drug trafficking, gun trafficking and innocent kids VICTIMS of gun violence.

THIS IS A HEALTH CRISIS !!!

At what point does this get PUBLIC ATTENTION...this is a crisis in our cities, communities..however the politicians, media and the nation has ignored the problem. Gangs control our prisons and many communities. All too often this is a way of life for many up-coming thugs...Whether it's Black, Mexican or Latino, or White gangsters, it's time to take back the communities.

Police Departments cannot do it alone, the community needs to get involved, the politicians and the Justice Department, and what about those radical community leaders...

Today, NYPD announced that the DNA of a Murderer was found on chains found at the Occupy Wall Street. The murder occurred several years ago of a student at a Manhattan University...The innocence of the group of political occupiers indicates that not all were good-doers. Now it's discovered that the Crime Lab Technicians may have contamined the DNA..therefore, any evidence collected may not be useable in prosecution, or even the ability to identify the murderer.

The media jumped on the fact that DNA was found which may solve the mystery of the murder of Sarah Fox...false alarm...whose responsible for the mis informatkion, the media, politics, or NYPD...which ever it is the public has again become the victim of the quick reporting without verification. Was this a distraction by NYPD to reduce the pressure of the increase of crime reports, or the dispute with many communities of the "Stop & Frisk" which was so successful collecting more than 8000 guns off the streets. Now the NYPD has slowed down by complaints of racisim.

Either the community want protection, or the Activists will control the community over the honest, hard working members of the community. In reality, if you send in a white police officer into a minority community, the people he/she is expected to protect will be minority members. So therefore, the Stop & Frisk more often will be on a member of the minoritry community.

TRAYVON MURDER CASE UPDATE

George Zimmerman the accused Murderer of Trayvon Martin has had his BAIL REVOKED this past week by the Judge presiding in the case......Subject reasoning.."Zimmerman is alleged to have lied to the court about his personal wealth". He also has TWO PASSPORTS !!! It is suggested that Zimmerman and his wife were speaking in CODE over the telephone system within the correctional facility where he was housed awaiting a bail hearing. This coded message, it is alleged, finds that the Zimmerman's had more than $165,000..in a Paypal account. It's alleged that this money came from the result of contributions from strangers to assist Zimmerman in paying for his defense.

What this may represent questionable credibility of Zimmerman's future explanation of his actions the night of the shuffle with Mr. Martin, which resulted in his death. Or, it may represent that Zimmerman was aware of the funds but only understood that the money was to accessed for his defense. Not aware that this money was to be reported to the court in bail hearings. Did he even know about the amount of money, or was his wife trying to tell him that this amount of money has been placed in his Paypal Defense fund.

Either way, George has alot of explaining to do to the court...and to resurrect his credibility before the court and the people.

These past few weeks the nation has been riveted by the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, a 17 year old black youth visiting family in Sanford, Florida. He was confronted by George Zimmerman, a white looking Hispanic, who it's reported is a Citizen Patrol member in his community.

As the story unfolds, lots of theories emerge. The fact is that Trayvon is dead and George shot and killed him. The legal issues are being analyzed by the various experts from the community or even the television pundits. All experts are without facts. They're on either side of the argument. This has become a racially charged shooting death. The State of Florida's "STAND YOUR GROUND" law of no retreat is under microscopic review. This law allows State of Florida individuals to "NOT" retreat from confrontation, but rather justifies a deadly shooting, when the opportunity to retreat from confrontation is another choice.

The law appears to be an EXTENSION of the CASTLE LAW, which allows a person to defend his home, family and property from intruders by the use of Deadly Force. The test of the "Stand Your Ground" law will have a definite affect on many other States which followed Florida by passing similar laws. It appears that this is a sign of our time, when individuals must arm themselves to protect themselves and family even out on the street.

The increase of "Home Invasions", "Strong Armed Robberies", "Carjackings", "Theft" and "Confrontations" on the streets, at shopping malls, on highways and at restaurants has led to such a law. It's time communities take the responsibility to clean-up their community of criminal enterprises, gangs, gun drive-by's, drugs and other related offences.

This past week the States Attorney responsible for the Zimmerman prosecution released to the media and public specific evidence gathered for the trial. These included photo's of Zimmerman's cuts and broken nose. It is quiet different than what the media frenzy showed in the first hours of this tragedy. These photo's do not suggest that Zimmerman was justified, but does display a more violent confrontation than what had been initially reported.

I do not justify Zimmerman's behavior or action, but rather question the other elements of the crime scene, forensics and even the initial police reports. This was a confrontation which did not have to happen, it wasn't with initial intent, but rather a series of events that culminated in the shooting death of a 17 year old who was only guilty of "WWB" "Walking While Black" on a rainy night in a community that has experienced numerous crimes during the evening.

Was it Zimmerman's responsibility to retreat upon the direction of the 911 operator? Did young Martin confront Zimmerman, questioning why he was being followed? The wording that Zimmerman used in the 911 phone call suggests that he has a problem with racial issues, or was he just trying to describe the situation that he has encountered? Which ever way one's looks at the confrontation, it's true that Trayvon Martin is dead from a gunshot by Zimmerman!

The question about the "Stand Your Ground" law should be legally connected to the requirement of Concealed Weapons Permit requiring proper training and a 3 year review of licensed holders.

March 17, 2012 was a violent night for the City of Chicago. Five others murdered in a swell of violence in the South Side section of Chicago.

The past month has seen more than 49 shootings across Chicago's South-side community. What's causing the violence? Gang turf war, Drug War, Racial, it's all possible.

Allyah Shell was playing on her porch with her brother and Mom when suddenly a vehicle pulled up in front of her house and the gunmen opened fire, killing little Allayah.

Where's the protest here? Where's Rev. Sharpton and his rabble-rousers. One cannot excuse this behavior as a "problem of poverty, lack of education opportunities or even wayward young people." These words were uttered by a local community leader who tried to explain the violence on a national television show.

How dear he!!!

IT'S TIME TO REDUCE THIS VIOLENCE. This is not just local to Chicago, but it's a problem in many cities across America. Violence comes within all communities, all races, all religions and/or socio-economic standing.

When will the Federal Government enter into protecting communities, when in fact the local police cannot.
Where are the guns & ammunition coming from.
Where are the Police.

ALL QUESTIONS UP FOR REVIEW !!

When one listens to the 911 Tapes of George Zimmerman calling the dispatcher, it raises questions about his actions. One needs to question whether George was the pursuer and that Trayvon was running from George, or if they were already in a confrontation. Just the words alone suggests that George was instructed to back-off by the dispatcher. Yet, in George's own words, he's chasing young Treyvon.

What was Trayvon's offense. It looks like being black, young and in the wrong place at the wrong time, against an individual who apparently rides a high horse with gun in hand, self appointed as the local sheriff, approved by the local authorities to be a gate-keeper of a small community.

It scares me that such people roam our communities with gun in hand and no concept of the rights of others.

Trayvon's only offense is that he was a black 17 year old with a yearning for Skttles and a Ice Tea. For this he is executed.. NO JUSTICE HERE!!!

Now comes the authorities, a month after the fact, because of media attention, and now comes the Fed's to look...What took them so long....Is it a crime? Only time, investigation, examination of witnesses, review of the 911 calls and analysis of the crime scene will be presented before a Grand Jury.

Hopefully, Justice Will Prevail for young Trayvon.
