LATE UPDATE

2011-04-13T10:01:00.000-07:00

Sorry for the late update. I meant to have this done on Monday, like I normally do. Oh well, so here is my test for all you to see. It should be pretty interesting when everything is done.

Animation Shadow Test w/o environmental lighting

Above is the link to my Vimeo with a shadow test for the character.

I'm in the process of fixing it and adding more shadows to the rest of the characters in my video. Will be done in the next week or two (hopefully).

UPDATED AND NEARLY FINISHED

2011-03-27T17:56:00.000-07:00

Final animation without shadows but with sound

Above is a link to vimeo displaying my animation. This is an early update.

I want to add shadows from hear on out to all the characters and add a couple more group/ crowd shots on my animation.

The good part is that I am technically done, I will just have to continue doing more work to make this animation awesome looking.

I am working on...

2011-02-28T11:18:00.001-08:00

Hey there, Jeff again.

I am currently working on numerous scenes for my animation. Unfortunately, Blogspot doesn't like SWF format files. So I cannot post anything at the moment. I will be posting some WIP scenes later tonight via vimeo, again. I need to combine a series of scenes to show exactly what I'm working on (also, vimeo says my files are too small individually, but I'll fix that).

I plan on, like I said showing these things tonight.
-Work in Progress as far as animation. I have a lot of roughs.
-Character design sketches (again)
-Background designs (which will be added onto this post)
-Concepts
-And last, but not least, my poster!

Poster first

3/4 view from top - down. Not included in animation.

3/4 from below - up. Included in animation.

Opening scene

Bubbleview. Not included, unfortunately. I loved this idea though.

Concepts for the backgrounds

Piano shop- window scene. For passerby(s). Included.

Rolling scene. Not included.

Moving perspective scene. Not included.

Running scene. Included.

Final scene. Truck included. Piano, maybe included.

Piano Store scene, from outside. Included.

EARLY ANIMATIC WITH SOUND and other posts

2011-02-21T07:42:00.000-08:00

Awesome, so here is my animation thus far. Lots of finished animation, no real roughs anymore. I have some crowd designs I will post in another post next week to replace the video that was suppose to happen. Also, I'll be posting some blank sound files onto here. The video is blank, it is just sound.

Both musical pieces were created by me with my bass guitar only.

music 1 - not the piece I chose and music 2 - the piece I chose

both can be found at this fixed link

alright and here is the animation/ animatic

This is the link to my video/ animatic.

To keep you guys guessing as to how I will make this animation even more fancy and interesting, I'll be working and re-working certain things on this project. Hopefully, some tests will make you oogle. Probably not though, as I kind have already mashed the tests on here. However, the tests I will do will be done reversed, traditional, flash and symbol/ looped flash. ;]

Updated part 2

2011-02-14T10:57:00.000-08:00

Second animatic, more recent. No music attached.

I'll be redoing the first scene, adding the final scene, lengthening the film, revising some other animation, making sure everything will work.

In a part 3 and 4 post next week, I'll have blank videos with just music.
The week after next, I'll have an animatic with music attached.

In addition to next week, I plan on adding some concept work.

Update New animatic with some animation attached.

2011-02-14T10:53:00.000-08:00

It has been a while since I last updated. Here is the new animatic with animation included. The ending has yet to be added and the fixes on the rest some of the animation needs to be added.

Next week, I will update this without sound, with more animation and then with two separate videos dedicated to just the music I have created for this piece of work.

[I will be posting another revised version in about an hour from this post]

Recent Animatic, Finished and wonderful for an animatic

2011-01-10T21:24:00.000-08:00

So here it is, the long awaited animatic with wonderful backgrounds.

Please comment on this~! I need some good critique!

This is the last "new" animatic. The story isn't changing from here on out. I am proud of that, too. Obviously, I have some character clean up and re-fixing I need to do.

Looking forward to see what anyone has to say! :D

My animatic

2010-10-30T11:35:00.000-07:00

EDIT: STORY UPDATED AND CHANGED. THIS ANIMATIC IS NO LONGER RELEVANT!!
Will be posting new footage/ storyboard. I have one character design to add. The rest are still included as random passerby-ers.

This is my animatic with scratch sound. I expect to have a better version by the end of the weekend.

Character Designs Layout 1- Bare minimum

2010-10-19T01:53:00.000-07:00

These are just a little taste of the character designs that I have been working on. I'll provide more drawings of costume tests, other characters and under-drawings.

Just the tip of the iceberg.

Update:

Revised version of my storyboard will be out soon!! Added to that, a small animatic and a test will be provided within the next week or so!

First post right off the bat, and it is massive. This is my storyboard for my Animation Projects class.
