Droid X Root Instructions

The speculation on news about e-fuse technology introduced in Droid X by Motorola has been strike down eventually. It was being reported that if you employ a Droid X root and use a custom firmware, you Droid X will get bricked. This was officially denied by Motorola that e-fuse will rather stop your Droid X from working until you restore to original firmware.

Android Hackers have earlier said that nothing is un-hackable and they have finally proved it with a working Droid X root. The appearance of custom ROMs is still faraway despite the existence of Droid X root.

Here are the instructions to employ Droid X Root.

Download Droid X Root

Step 1: Set up ADB
Step 2: Push exploid to /sqlite_stmt_journals “adb push exploid /sqlite_stmt_journals”
Step 3: type “adb shell”
Step 4: type “cd sqlite_stmt_journals”
Step 5: type “chmod 755 exploid”
Step 6: type “./exploid” and follow directions on screen
Step 7: type “rootshell”
Step 8: type in password “secretlol”
Step 9: your in root!
Step 10: mount your sdcard to pc and put Superuser.apk and su in the sdcard
Step 11: unmount sdcard
Step 12: in adb (make sure your still in root with the # sign) type in:
- cp /sdcard/Superuser.apk /system/app/Superuser.apk
- cp /sdcard/su /system/bin/su
- chmod 4755 /system/bin/su
your done! feel free to kill the bloat apps snd such ;

iPhone 3GS 4.0.1 Jailbreak with PwnageTool [Unofficial]

After iOS 4.0.1 release, iPhonne Dev Team confirmed that redsn0w 0.9.5 can jailbreak 4.0.1 firmware on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch []. Then, sn0wbreeze 1.8 beta was release but it supported jailbreaking iOS 4.1 Beta on iPhone 3GS [Old Bootrom] and iPod Touch 3G 2G [Non MC models]. iOS 4.1 will be the next iOS release. The iPhone 3GS users who have upgraded to iOS 4.0.1 are still without any official jailbreak tool.To fill the vacuum, some unknown developer have modified the original PwnageTool 4.0.1 to work with iPhone 3GS [Old Bootrom] on 4.0.1 firmware. Similar tool was released for iOS 4.0 firmware which was disapproved by iPhone Dev Team as it does not patch some necessary files to unlock iPhone 3GS with ultrasn0w. This tool has not been tested to work for iPhone 3GS 4.0.1 jailbreak. You can try it at your own risk. It is recommended to wait for Spirit 4.0.1 Jailbreak to arrive which will eventually smash all iDevices.

If you get a locked iPhone 4 3GS from a country where it was offered with a carrier contract then first step for using the iPhone 4 3GS will be activate. Surprisingly, Apple has released iOS 4.0.1 update for public although iOS 4.1 beta was released to developers last night. As promised by Apple, iOS 4.0.1 contains an update for signal bars calculation which should solve the Death Grip problem according to their last statement. The quest to jailbreak latest firmware iOS 4.1 had started already and now it is iOS 4.0.1 turn.

According to the last night developments, redsn0w 0.9.5 should be able to jailbreak iOS 4.0.1 on iPhone 3G and iPod Touch 2G [Non MC Model].
