A delegation led by vice minister of the Chinese Communist Party Mr. Li Jin Jun and the ambassador of China in Portugal Mr. Beisen Zhang, visited Hospital Rovisco Pais to experience Move, the first mobility system based on electric vehicles without drivers. The visit was an important step to support the efforts to evaluate potential areas of technical and commercial cooperation with China and counted with the support of Ecoprogresso, a Portuguese company with great projection in China. In July the first autonomous electric vehicles (vehicles without driver) were launched in Hospital Rovisco Pais. Now, Critical Move is rolling out some of the technology developed for the autonomous vehicles, the possibilities of using such technology, as a message system associated with the level of the batteries, RFID identification, etc, in other mobility related areas are enormous. Critical Move is leading the project weMoveyou, aiming to develop a new platform to manage urban transport solutions based on autonomous vehicles. The project weMoveyou is one of the 9 projects integrating the “projecto ancora” TICE.Mobilidade. TICE.Mobilidade was launched last 28th and 29th January in Coimbra and will last for 3 years.

Critical Move, in association with Siemens a technological partner, presented Move in Portugal Tecnológico, where it was installed connecting the Siemens pavilion (exterior) and the interior of pavilion 1. The system was kindly provided by Hospitral Rovisco Pais where it is fully operational for some months, allowing the transport of patients with reduced mobility. Move was present in Portugal Tecnológico with Siemens, who collaborated in the development of this new mobility concept. The system, fully operational in Hospital Rovisco Pais, was installed in just one day allowing the transport of innumerous visitants in this vehicle without a driver through the Praça da Energia (exterior) and Pavilion 1.

Hospital Rovisco Pais - Centro de Reabilitação Física do Centro is a hospital for physical rehabilitation. The displacement of people was a very complex and expensive process due to the considerable distances between the hospital premises.
