Review of THE DIVIDE by Nicholas Evans

2013-10-14T15:32:00.000-07:00

I highly recommend the book, THE DIVIDE, (2007) by Nicholas Evans which I just finished. Divide has many meanings in this fine novel: a mountain resort, the divide between husband and wife, between daughter and parents and between the choices one makes in life.

THE DIVIDE is sensitive, dealing with so many issues which can divide a family. The life choices each person makes determines what can lead to happiness or disaster.

I love the way Nicholas Evans makes his characters so real that you get to know them and can understand why they do what they do and say what they say. We see how this family, the Coopers, deal with the traumas of life.

If you liked Nicholas Evans' THE HORSE WHISPER, you will love THE DIVIDE.

I give THE DIVIDE a "two-thumbs up".

GRAVITY - Phenomenal!

2013-10-11T09:22:00.001-07:00

We were thrilled to see the film GRAVITY, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, on it's opening weekend in 3-D at the IMAX in Highlands Ranch, CO. Sandra Bullock delivers an a Oscar-winning performance.... the best of her career.

It was an experience no one should miss. The hour and a half passed so quickly that time seemed to NOT exist. We felt like we were in an "altered state"-- EXPERIENCING rather than WATCHING this fine film directed by Alfonso Cuarón.

Though only two characters, the actors conveyed everything one needed to live their experiences with them. We floated above our beautiful earth with them and felt all the emotions they felt .... keep tissues at hand.

We moved into even more gratitude for our Earth home and our lives as humans. This film takes one beyond the mundane and opens one's heart to Grace and Gratitude. We urge you to see GRAVITY as soon as possible.

We give GRAVITY 5 stars!!!!

CLOUD ATLAS Movie Review

2013-07-10T07:51:00.001-07:00

Keith and I first saw CLOUD ATLAS when it was released in the theaters. We had been waiting for it for months after seeing the trailers. It is a film like nothing we had ever seen before - smart, mind-expanding, heart-centered, and action-filled. It is a film depicting stories of twin-soul couples as they interact through multiple and vastly different life times. Some times their meetings were only brief and sometimes individuals incarnated in to a lifetime that they did not meet their twin-soul. Many fine actors portrayed vastly different roles. Sometimes I did not recognize the actors until I watched the final credits showing the parts each had played. Men sometimes played a female role and vice-versa.

The film shows how only evolved humans come together with their twin-soul. Humans who never seemed to evolve lifetime after lifetime didn't ever meet their twin-soul.

This remarkable film discussed what we have known for years through our own twin-soul journey. Souls journey through many lifetimes and are inextricably linked to others...... "from the cradle to the grave." It is a beautiful film with wonderful messages.

This film is so intricate and deep that one can watch it over and over again.... gaining new insights with each viewing. In fact, my original review was flawed. It wasn't until Keith and I discussed it further today that I understood more than I did the first two times I saw it. I suspect when we are able to watch it again, and discuss it more, we may gain even more insight.

We loved the film crafted so expertly by Lana & Andy Wachowski & Tom Tykwer. We have added it to our DVD library of all time favorites.

SMOKE JUMPERS by Nicholas Evans Book Review

2013-02-11T17:03:00.001-08:00

I recently read SMOKE JUMPERS by Nicholas Evans, author of THE HORSE WHISPER. SMOKE JUMPERS is a bit of a misnomer because only the first part of the book dealt with smoke jumping.

It is an adventure and love story of three people who have to deal with the life after smoke jumping and it's dangers. It is a beautiful story of how love conquers all. I highly recommend this book.

Review: THE LOST SYMBOL by Dan Brown

2012-08-26T18:38:00.000-07:00

I just finished reading THE LOST SYMBOL by Dan Brown for the second time. We love this novel jam-packed with historical information about our nation's capitol, Washington D.C.

This fast-paced thriller reveals so many things that everyone should know in this critical year of change, 2012!

Our 3-D experience in this life has been for learning and growing. We are in the process of becoming FULLY CONSCIOUS BEINGS who will remember who we REALLY ARE. All the great texts of history say a similar thing, in their own way..... "Know ye not that ye are gods?". Great thinkers of the world have told us, sometimes in codes, that we are greater and more powerful than we know. "The Buddha said, ' You are God yourself'. Jesus taught that 'the kingdom of God is within you' and even promised us, ' the works I do, you can do.... and greater." pg. 492

We highly recommend THE LOST SYMBOL by Dan Brown. We feel it will help you navigate this year of change by bringing hope and understanding to the process we are currently undergoing. This is a time to know that we "create our own reality" and that by staying OUT OF FEAR and STAYING IN LOVE, no matter what happens..... we CO-create a new Earth where peace, love and health is available for all.

DOCUMENTARY REVIEW: A/K/A TOMMY CHONG

2012-01-13T16:14:00.000-08:00

Take a good look at how our government operates in this revealing documentary, A/K/A TOMMY CHONG. Tommy Chong, famous half of the CHEECH & CHONG comedy duo was systematically targeted in 2005 by U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft and his underlings in the Bush Administration. Perhaps they wanted a high profile person of which they could make an example and further their careers. The government used "entrapment" which is supposed to be illegal.

I have personally witnessed government vendettas perpetrated upon a couple of my friends and mentors... not because they did anything illegal, but because our government and it's attorneys wanted to make an example of them to scare others. When I asked one of my friends, "Does our government have the RIGHT to do what they did to you?" He replied, "NO, but they DO have the POWER to do it"! That was in 1998.

As Tommy Chong says at the end of this documentary, (paraphrasing) "I wasn't an activist before they sent me to prison, but I AM ONE NOW." When people ask him what was it like in prison, he says, (paraphrasing again) "Don't worry, you'll find out".

I urge you to watch this documentary ( you can stream it on NETFLIX). I further urge you to share this review with your friends.

Thank you for educating yourself.

THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES - BOOK REVIEW

2012-01-04T17:09:00.000-08:00

This is a touching novel about daughters & mothers, sisters and the Divine Feminine by Sue Monk Kidd. THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES is about a daughter's journey to come to terms with the loss of her mother and her search for a mother's love. The wise black woman, August Boatwright, offered Lily this sage advice, " You have to find a mother inside yourself. We all do. Even if we already have a mother, we still have to find this part of ourselves inside."

In OUT OF AFRICA, Isak Dinesen, said, "all sorrows can be borne if we put them in a story or tell a story about them." My writing A MOTHER'S JOURNEY: To Release Sorrow and Reap Joy helped me deal with my sorrows. It deals with a mother coming to terms with the experiences of her life and the decisions she made which broke her heart. While reading THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES, I was able to experience the feelings of a daughter who thought she was abandoned by her mother which is the other side of the coin in my own story.

This novel is a healing necessity for anyone who has lost a mother, or a daughter or a sister or ever felt abandoned by them.

In THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES, Lily thinks, " I knew then that no matter how hard you tried, no matter how much you thought you could leave your mother behind, she would never disappear from the tender places in you."

I am grateful for this wonderful novel which has touched my heart in ways that cannot be explained. Let it touch yours.

The Magnesium Miracle - Book Review

2011-11-29T14:09:00.001-08:00

Recently I heard about THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE, a new book by Dr. Carolyn Dean, M.D. N.D. and ordered it from Amazon.com

Over the past 10 years I have experienced some of the "miracles" that magnesium has brought into my life and the lives of my friends. I have been using a topical magnesium gel which is sold online by GLOBAL LIGHT NETWORK. Mainly, I had been using Magnesium Gel to alleviate pain and to relieve heart arrhythmia. I had no idea that many of my other discomforts/symptoms could be caused by magnesium deficiency until I read THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE. I found that I had 16 symptoms directly linked to magnesium deficiency as I perused the list in Dr. Dean's book. The more I read, the more I learned. I couldn't put the book down. I felt hopeful and grateful for all the research Dr. Dean had done to compile such an important book for the world.

According to Dr. Dean's book, magnesium is a mineral that "regulates more than 323 enzymes in the body" and is essential to the healthy functioning of the human body. The soils in American have been depleted of this essential mineral since the thirties according to a government report (Senate document no. 264, 1936). Since the body cannot make magnesium and a diet high in sugars, dairy and processed foods as well as smoking, alcoholic drinks, prescription drugs and stress all leach magnesium from the body. If this "essential" mineral, magnesium, is not replaced by supplementation, the deficiency can result in many degenerative diseases. The list in THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE is extensive.

Most doctors are not aware of the widespread existence of magnesium deficiency for many reasons. They are not taught about this in medical school, probably because pharmaceutical companies can't make any money selling magnesium and can make lots of money selling drugs to

I had been depressed for weeks in spite of daily sunshine, water, and rest. During the day I felt that I didn't have the strength in my legs to even climb up the steps into the motor home. After reading, THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE, I began taking 900 mg of magnesium citrate crystals dissolved in water ( 1 tsp - 2 times a day). In less than 24 hours I felt "happy" and the weakness in my legs was gone. I went to the gym and walked half a mile around the track and worked out on ten exercise machines without any difficulty.

Because taking magnesium orally can cause loose stools, I began taking about 2 ounces of Therapeutic Bentonite Clay solution ( 2 T. in 16 oz of water) each day. Bentonite Clay is also available from GLOBAL LIGHT NETWORK. Using topical MAGNESIUM GEL or MAGNESIUM OIL ( 1 tsp per day applied to the skin) does not cause loose stools. It takes about 3 months with this dosage, to get enough magnesium into the body to counter the deficiency most people have.

Every person, concerned with their health and the health of their families and friends should read THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE book. It is jam-packed with information that the layman can easily understand. Think of how much healthier our nation of 300 million people would be if they all knew about the health benefits of this essential mineral - MAGNESIUM. Educate yourself by reading this book, doing your own research and sharing this blog with your friends and family. Give a copy of this book to your doctor so that others may be helped, too.

THE MAGNESIUM MIRACLE by Dr. Carolyn Dean will remain a permanent part of my home library.

DISCLAIMER: This blog is not meant to diagnose or treat any illness but only to alert the public to the research in Dr. Dean's book. Please discuss this with your doctor.

Book Review:THE DIVINE MATRIX by Gregg Braden

2011-06-24T13:10:00.000-07:00

In the midst of this amazing time in history, I found THE DIVINE MATRIX by Gregg Braden, to hold the answers to understanding how we can maneuver through these challenging times and make a difference. Author, Gregg Braden explains what the Divine Matirix is and how we can "talk" to It and understand how It is "speaking" to us. This book can help us to create the life we desire to live.

THE DIVINE MATRIX: Bridging Time, Space, Miracles and Belief was written by this very intelligent man, Gregg Braden, " a former senior aerospace computer systems designer". Yet, the book is easily understandable and filled with paradigm-shifting knowledge from ancient texts and science as well as real-life stories which will change the way you see the world and interact with it. Mr. Braden explains "how it all works".
I highly recommend THE DIVINE MATRIX to anyone who truly wants to understand themselves and the powerful role we each play in the Divine Matrix and how just a small percentage of people changing just a little bit can change our entire world.

Mr. Braden is also the author of THE GOD CODE , AWAKENING TO ZERO POINT, THE ISAIAH EFFECT, WALKING BETWEEN WORLDS and SECRETS OF THE LOST MODE OF PRAYER.

Book Review: TIME FOR TRUTH by Nick Bunick

2011-06-06T15:39:00.000-07:00

TIME FOR TRUTH: A New Beginning, is a powerful, thought-provoking book that answers the spiritual questions that so many have struggled with for so long. It sheds light on the life of Jesus (Jeshua), his teachings and how the early Church changed the Bible to assure that the people would be dependent upon the Church and the clergy for their spiritual lives.

Nick Bunick charges leaders of Christian Churches to embark on "a new beginning" by admitting the deception that continues to this day and to "tell the truth".

Christian churches are closing daily because people know in their hearts that they are NOT sinful by nature, that they are beloved children of God and that they have direct access to Source (God).

Nick Bunick, also the best-selling author of THE MESSENGERS was my guest on my Internet radio show, THE ANGEL FINGERPRINTS SHOW. Listen to my archived interview with Nick Bunick and then buy his book. Give a copy to your pastor or a friend.

THE EXPECTED ONE by Kathleen McGowan

2011-06-01T15:39:00.000-07:00

THE EXPECTED ONE, though fiction, left no doubt in my heart and soul that the stories of Jesus, Mary Magdalene, Judas, John the Baptist, Salome and others, as told by Ms. McGowan in THE EXPECTED ONE, are true. This novel could better be labeled "creative non-fiction!"

Having personally communicated with my own Spirit Guides and Others on the Other Side, I know, in my heart, that Jesus (Easa) and Mary Magdalene spoke to Kathleen McGowan directly. It surely was Ms. McGowan's DESTINY to bring forth these books. When the world wants to call people crazy when they "see" and "hear" and "feel" Those in the Spirit World, it takes a lot of courage to share these things. Bravo, Ms. McGowan!

After 2000 years, it is time that the world be taught the "Way of Love" as Jesus taught it. Ms. McGowan IS the "Expected One" of our time.

All three of Ms. McGowan's books, THE EXPECTED ONE, THE BOOK OF LOVE and THE POET PRINCE touched me at my core.

I am grateful to be acquainted with the Mary Magdalene, I have known on some level, through The Arques Gospel of Mary Magdalene as shared in THE EXPECTED ONE. I want to read her entire Gospel now.

Mary Magdalene's account of the "days of darkness" surrounding the Crucifixion in THE EXPECTED ONE triggered deep emotions of grief and sorrow in me.

It is no wonder that Kathleen McGowan's books have become "International Best-sellers". I anxiously await her next release. I know that it will become a personal treasure as her first three books have become for me.

Book Review: Dream When You're Feeling Blue by Elizabeth Berg

2011-05-29T08:21:00.000-07:00

DREAM WHEN YOU'RE FEELING BLUE by Elizabeth Berg touched my heart at a deep level. It brought me even closer to my parents who had lived and loved through the sacrifice and uncertainty of World War II.

My handsome father was wounded in France in early 1945 and lived with the physical and emotional scars of war for another fifty years. My beautiful mother made the best of everything until she left this earth and joined my father almost a year ago, just ten days before her 91st birthday.

Ms. Berg's book helped me to understand the life that my parents had lived during that difficult time and why my father never talked about the horrors of war.

I was one of the lucky "war babies" for my "daddy" came home, when so many "daddys" DID NOT.

I thank Ms. Berg for this fine, poignant novel about the "Greatest Generation" and the difficulties they endured and lived through. Ms Berg's novel captures the emotional torment so many couples were subjected to through their forced separations. It is fortunate that we have her book to reflect upon when those who lived through WW II are dwindling in number; and the memories are being lost to the ethers.

Book Review: "Wild Fire" by Nelson DeMille

2011-05-28T13:14:00.000-07:00

Nelson DeMille is one of my favorite thriller authors. So that being said, let's get down to his book "Wild Fire".

It is a fascinating and thoroughly engaging fictional story involving the state of affairs regarding terrorists, middle eastern fanatics, the rich and powerful attempting to co-opt National Policy, and dedicated detectives trying to restore order and prevent disaster.

Nelson DeMille's strengths as a writer are in full force here. His novel moves along at a fast pace, with generous information to the reader to make the issues credible and believable. He is informative and direct on point, wasting no space to allow the reader to wallow in technical or boring details. Suffice it to say, DeMille makes it real and threatening, exciting and current to the issues we face today.

Nelson DeMille also writes his characters as flesh and blood. No artifice here. These are guys and gals you can get to know, and you feel as though you do know them. Genuine and heartfelt are the relationships and as any couple would know (even those who are not in law enforcement or the FBI).

I have to admit, I found the story and issue of MAD (the Cold War
policy of Mutually Assured Destruction) as detailed in "Wild Fire" a fine piece of story telling. As a child who grew up under the threat of nuclear retaliation, it was a chilling reminder of where we stood against the Soviets. I dare say, as an option we may (or should?) consider using it against terrorists and the middle eastern states that support and sponsor them. Certainly as a story it adds thrilling angst and calamity on a global scale, not just to a locale.

I highly recommend the book "Wild Fire" by Nelson DeMille. A fine fast paced read, excellent characters, and a thrilling ride of a story. I would not be surprised if it is optioned as a Hollywood movie in the future.

Book Review: THE POET PRINCE by Kathleen McGowan

2011-05-28T13:09:00.001-07:00

THE POET PRINCE by Kathleen McGowan is her "Book Three in The Magdalene Line". It is as much of a masterpiece as her second one, THE BOOK OF LOVE. In each book the reader gets to know her fictional and historical characters at a very deep level. One experiences the "agonies and ecstasies" of their lives.

Ms. McGowan delivered her historically-based stories so masterfully that they touched my heart and soul; and have become a part of me. Their stories are our stories, for in Essence, we are all ONE.

If you have not yet experienced Twin-Soul Love and yet desire to, the reading of Ms. McGowan's books may very well help you to manifest your heart's desire, for "what we focus on EXPANDS".

For those who have experienced Divine Union & Re-Union with their Twin-Soul, these two historical novels will help you to celebrate and to appreciate, even more, the Divine Purpose of your Twin-Soul/Twin-Flame Union.

As these two novels confirm over and over, "The Time Returns". The time for Twin-Soul re-unions is NOW, at this moment in history, and is essential to our Earth's planetary evolution and the evolution of mankind.
