Memorial Day...what's it mean to you? Parties, picnics, weekend sales? We have news for you if this is what you think. Memorial Day was created to honor those who gave their all in defense of our freedoms we all to often take for granted. This is a time we should reflect on what we have and who stood between us and loosing it. This does not mean we have to be somber, moody, or morbid in how we do this. It just means we need to stop and think as we see what it takes to keep us free to worship, believe, protest, and just to live our lives without wondering if we will be the next ones put before the gun, knife, or other means of death at the hands of our government. We also need to thank those who serve in God's Army as missionaries, preachers, church workers and in other positions who have had to pay for the privilage with their lives. Let's stop and say thank you to the families and keep them in our prayers as there is normally someone left behind who still has to go on with their life as they remember those who paid with their life. From all of us at High Point Outreach Ministries let me say Thank You to those who stood in the gap for our freedom and those left behind, we may not know your names but God does, you are in our prayers and on our prayer lists every day. Thank you for your service along with those who did Pay The Ultimate Price just as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ did that fateful Friday to pay for our Salvation.

It's Easter Sunday. Where were you on that first Easter? We were not here but guess what, we were on Christ's mind that  day. When Christ walked out of the tomb He was walking into each one of our lives. We have to answer His question that is very simple. What are you going to do for ME? It is not uncommon for different RELIGIONS to expect us to do more than the Bible tells us but Christ has laid it out very simple. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Christ went to Hell and Back for us and all He asks in return if for us to believe on Him. Christ did all this in three days. Now as we dive into what happened on this first Easter come along for the experience by just reaching up and pushing the play button.

Saturday...For most it would be a day of rest. To Jesus it was far from that. As His body lays in the borrowed tomb His Spirit is far from there. Jesus has a mission. That mission is to do the final battle with Satan and pay the price for our souls. Jesus has gone to Hell to take away the keys of Hell and Death. He started the battle on the Cross on Friday. He literally goes to Hell on Saturday and will finish His mission on Sunday as He walks out of the tomb. Thursday, a day of peace, observance, and...BETRAYAL. Jesus sends two of His disciples to town to prepare for the Pass Over. As we know this will be His Last Supper until He comes again to sit down with His Bride(Church). As they sit down for that Last Supper and Christ breaks bread and drinks wine with His chosen twelve, He announces that one of them will betray Him. They all say WHO LORD is it me and Christ says "It is one of the twelve, that dippeth with me in the dish." (Mark 14:20 (KJV)). Next we see them in the Garden of Gethsemani as Christ prepares to pray to His Father. Then we see the betrayal. This is just the beginning of the weekend. We had a very special time to day in Studio C as we had two very special men come in and join us. Pastor Shannon
McCubbins, Pastor of Mt Moriah Baptist, and Brother Charles Juma, Missionary to Africa and Native African, came in and sat down with Mark to talk about what Brother Juma is doing in the Lord's work in Africa, not to mention here as well. Brother Juma is a man with a mission. His mission is to reach out to all those who will listen and he is very passionite about it. Why you ask? That mission he is on is directly from his Lord, Master, and Saviour who we know as Jesus Christ. God has laid it on this mans heart that his mission is to as it says in Mark 16:15 "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature" and he is taking it seriously as all of us who are Born Again in Christ SHOULD BE DOING. We talked about what Brother Juma is doing here in the United States and what his plans are when he returns to Africa. We also got a chance to dive into the adventure Pastor McCubbins and a group from Mt Moriah have coming up this summer as they join Brother Juma in Africa. They will be joining him for ten days of very intense but fun evangelism and outreach to the people of Africa. Judas Iscariot, who was he and why did he team up with the Chief Priest and his team? While Jesus was out teaching and resting if we go behind the scenes we see one of His own preparing to turn Him over to the enemy. This man was the treasurer for the group. The other Apostles thought he was an honest and trustworthy man. But there was more to him then anyone but Jesus knew. He opened the door to Satan and allowed a continuous battle to rage inside of him. Then that fateful day Judas Iscariot gives in to Satan and God's plan is put into place.
