Happenings in my Apt

In my living room: Norman Bel Geddes dresser, 70's lucite stacked side tables from Neiman Marcus, chilewich runner, and a PJ Harvet poster I won in my teens :)

I recently took pics of my place and sent it to Big B (the government put him in a time out somewhere in the mountains). He asked for them because we often talk about what he calls my love for "The Vintage." "Keyse, did you get more vintage this weekend?" hehehe....it almost makes me feel a little guilty about how much I am enjoying my apartment without him (he lived with me for 10 months in 2010)...come this summer, hes moving in with me again. Ugh. Amanda suggested I start posting a damage report....Summer 2012, its gonna be awesome!

after a yummy brunch at Union i headed to the Sowa Vintage Market...behold the gems i saw and acquired!

*did not acquire* this thingy that i am holding made me feel emotions, as you can see from the flames within my eyeballs...im going to eat at home all week so i can save enough dough to get this. just look at its adorable lil face and humble hands

i got a free motorcycle from Stephanie (thank you!) and i purchased the fox clasps and big ass pendant for jewelry making. The foxes are so amazing and the enamel pendant is in superb shape!

but the best find of today is the Alexis Bittar bracelet around my lil piggy! What a find and only $6, this is the second weekend where i scored something Alexis. This bracelet is going to Singapore, where it will adorn my friends wrist.

Sunday I went to the Cambridge Antique Market with Amanda and I found this beautiful Alexis Bittar ring, I think its from his 2011 Miss Havisham collection. So yeah, I had to have it. Like steak needs parsley. Like cake needs frosting. Like donkeys are totally cute but impractical pets...sigh

of course the seller also had this ring and made an offer i couldn't refuse. one of the kids i work with described it as a murdered sponge bob.

I also got this sweet lil teak tray with smokey glass insert - i plan on putting snacks in them but i think they will most likely hold jewelry until a party happens

one of the more questionable items we saw...right, because who doesn't want to sleep under the glowing warmth of assclowns? this is horrible. "i stopped clowning years ago!"

But, before we got to the desk we were trying to find this "Leather Chair/ Ottoman - $85 (Newton)"

The add isnt up anymore - Plycraft, the chair was brown and the ottoman black. My dad is amazing at getting lost and ignoring my directions, he drives and says things like "oh, all the other drivers are going that way." he is a precious man! so, we cant find the damned house...I call the seller, she calls me back a few minutes later and gives me the correct address...Unfortunately the chair was missing a seat button and kinda meh...but the ottoman was so cool! but she wouldnt sell it separately bc she is a turdhead. Fortunate for her she had a bunch of other people lined up who wanted to see it. My dad eventually found his way out of Newton, we went to Trader Joes and bonded over microwavable goodness. It was a good day.
