Congratulations to U16 Boys Blast

Congratulations to the U16 boys for earning promotion to Division 1 of the National Capital Soccer League (NCSL). The league is nationally recognized as one of the top youth soccer leagues and this certainly ranks as a great achievement for Coach Bill Quinn and his boys. The team was also a semi-finalist in the 2011 Maryland State Cup.

Also,congratulations to our U14 boys team (United) and our U12 boys team (Cosmos) for earning a place in Division 2 of the NCSL. Our U15 boys team (Vikings) earned a slot in Division 3.

Intramural Soccer Registration closes 2/28

Crofton Soccer is changing things up a bit this upcoming season. We are offering Champions League Soccer for 4 and 5 year old players. The Champions League will allow our young players to get an introduction to the world's favorite sport in a 4v4 environment. When our young players reach 6 and 7, they'll play in our own version of the World Cup. Our World Cup soccer will introduce players to regular fields, goals, and positions in a 6v6 environment. Both will emphasize learning, development, and fun!

Registration for county & select soccer ended 02/12/12. Although there is a wait list and late fees after the 12th, county teams are formed are created immediately to ensure entry into the Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association. We will do our best to place kids after the deadline, but there is no way we can guarantee that late registrants will have a team.

Intramural (U4-U7) registration will end 02/28/12.

U16 Boys BBSL Crofton Cannons

The U16 Boys BBSL Crofton Cannons Soccer Team will be holding tryouts for the Spring season on Saturday February 25 from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Crofton Middle School. If inclement weather is in the forecast, tryouts will be moved up to Thursday February 23 at the Soccer Dome in Landover MD from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. If interested in trying out, please contact Diana Townsend at dmtownsend@sunventures.info for full details. If tryouts are moved to February 23, it will be posted on the Crofton Soccer Website. May not be 16 before 8/1/1995.

Looking for volunteer coaches

Our program is looking for adults (18 and over) to volunteer their free time to help kids in the program. We need coaches (head or assistant) to help with our teams. We would especially like our young girls to have more female role models - so please consider signing up. All it takes is a little dedication, patience, and a quick background check!

Congratulations to the U14B Cougars

The Cougars won the Maryland Sportsplex Winter 1 Futsal U14 Boys Division 2 championship. The Cougars beat out two very strong and talented second place teams (tied) the ASA Fury (BBSL Fall U14 Boys Blue Division Champions) and the Severna Park Hammers team (NCSL Division 5). Congratulations to the boys for a job well done.

She was recently involved in a serious accident and is now recovering in a local hospital. Please keep Katie and her family in your prayers so we can see her on the fields really soon.

Congratulations to the U14B Crofton United on winning the Fallston Cup Gold Division. In a thrilling final match against tough competition, the boys were down 0-2 with approximately 2 minutes to play. A Chicharito-like flick sparked the team and initiated the comeback. The equalizer came a minute later on a Lampard-like rocket that smashed off the crossbar and into the net. In a 7v7 (no goalkeeper) overtime session, a Beckham-like set-piece from 25 yards out found the back of the net and won the championship. A very exciting 3-2 victory. Well done!

Looking for lost keys

One of our coaches lost the starter key to his car this evening. He was on D3 toward the back half but it may have detached from the key chain on the walk back to the parking lot. It is a black key with 4 buttons and a red panic button.
