Hey everyone! Looking for participants for my emotion series! Whoever can exude the emotion of their choice from my list of emotions on the site the best will be one of 29 individuals who will not only be featured in my series - but also receive a print of their own to hang on their walls!

Actors are encouraged primarily because of their innate ability to act out any emotion, but not required. Diversity extremely needed. All over the world, 18+, all races - come one - come all! :)

People - please do not find a photo you took yesterday to pair it up with an emotion on my list - take a fresh and recent photo dedicated to this emotion. Capture date on the image is encouraged for further proof. ;)

Please read the contest details before submitting any photos. Good luck and I cannot wait to see all of your entries! Ya gotta nail the emotion you choose!

Freelance Graphic Designer Seeks Freelance Site Coder!!! :o)

I'm a freelance Graphic Designer that absolutely LOVES design in every form...but despise coding!!!

I have a few clients currently that want me to design their sites, but I need someone that can take my designs and make them functional! :)

That's where you come in!

I need you to be experienced, efficient and knowledgeable in the following areas:

*Adobe Programs (CS4/CS5) - obviously the important ones...(i.e. Flash, DW, InDesign, ILL, PS, etc..)
*AS 2.0 and 3.0 (if you have to ask, move on..)
*CSS, HTML, XHTML, Javascript, SQL, XML, and mobile XHTML

From you as a person, I need you to be:

* Professional
* Reliable
* Need to pay attention closely to details
* Trustworthy
* Honest
* Passionate
* Strong Work Ethic
* Organized

If you want to even be considered for the position, please include a resume and a link to your portfolio. Please include at least 3 references and also your hourly rate, flat rate or per page rate - however you tally it up.

Also note: You are being hired as an independent contractor and this is a per job basis. There is no binding contract that insures you for future jobs and I have zero tolerance for BS.

Furthermore, if you are the amazing person and coder I hope you to be, I would LOVE for you to be my go-to-coder for every project. I will need to find 2-3 coders just so when one of you is on vacation, I have another person to rely on. Also, the holidays are on their way - if you cannot be available during the holidays or anytime in general - please let me know 2-4 wks beforehand.

If you are selected, I may ask to meet you in person over coffee in order to get to know you better and reassure myself that you are the right choice before bringing you on.

Picking Up Old Habits

Hey, Crome Cre8ive supporters!

Boy, have I been busy and alot has changed in the past year.

Haven't written a blog in quite sometime, but I don't want to bore you with any personal and petty bologna! ;)

I quit my full-time bartending job last month.

I had been wanting to put in my 2 weeks for almost a year (or 10 years....) because this is NOT and was NOT my passion - bartending was supposed to be a temporary income fix. Well, I finally had enough, walked out and quit. It was time for me to focus on Crome Cre8ive and the new company I've been trying to get going - Mix Vixen - which is a company that provides bartenders, barbacks and doorhosts for personal, private and corporate events. Just received the Articles of Incorporation for Mix Vixen 2 weeks ago! :o)

Anyway, so I've been busting my butt trying to make ends meet. Quitting your job to pursue your dreams and what you're passionate about is scary, but also very liberating and exciting. Sure, I'm not rolling in the dough - but it's happening. I have clients and I produce great work. I'm confident in my skills and would not have quit my job if I hadn't felt this way.

Make sure you stop by the site every now and then - started revamping it last week! New business cards out, monthly specials, new color scheme, clean, crisp ...new organized portfolio to come!! :D

And here's what I've been working on as of today:

It's my Mom's dog Murphy! He is going to be her mascot for her new blog titled NewsLab Digest :) She's pretty clever and creative! Well, we know where I got my talents from! :D Murphy will have a newspaper in his mouth (which I actually already sketched out as a trace over this drawing) - now I just have to trace the final image - scan in and finalize in Illustrator and convert it to a vector image. (i.e. trace w/ the pen tool).

As of this past week I've been working on a logo for a client in O.C., California. Their company is going to be a food delivery service. This is the 4th concept that I came up with yesterday:

Pretty satisfied with it, just need to make sure that the client is! :)

Anyway, you have a fabulous weekend and if you need a logo, there is a special going on! Logo for $150 until Thursday, Sept. 1st, 2011. Payments need to be made before any work can be started on project.

And just remember, it's not entirely true that old habits are bad to pick back up. Especially when it's what you were meant for and when it's the fire in your belly that makes you strive to be better.

I created this blog to focus solely on updating you with my current and upcoming projects as an artist. Now this will be on ALL levels. Which will most likely include, but not limited to: Illustration, T-shirt Designs, Corporate Branding (flyers, business cards, letterheads, brochures, envelope designs, logos,etc..), Photo Editing, Creative Director (Images of photo shoots that I've directed hair, makeup, wardrobe, styling, props, set design,etc...), Paintings, Drawings, Unfinished works requesting for critique and whatever else my cre8ive mind stirs up! I will also be posting images and sharing links of design submissions to contests where I need your vote! :o)

To start, I will show you a concept that I've created for a "Geek" theme competition on threadless.com :

GEEKS UNITE

This is the first concept out of three that I have come up with. I think it's finished, but I submitted it as a critique so that I could get feedback and/or suggestions from other designers on the site. This design and others will be available for purchase. I will post the links after I complete and submit all 3 concepts for all of you awesome people to vote for my designs!
