My Life as a Witch

2016 Imbolc

2016-01-23T21:20:00.003-05:00

I am moving into my new apartment just before Imbolc, a new start to a new year. I am hoping to get my altar set up as soon as I move in.
I am going to try to be more involved in meditations and study more.

My first ever FEST!!!

2015-04-30T04:35:00.001-04:00

Shannon, Bri and I are going to our first ever Fest on Saturday to celebrate Beltane! We've decided to stay the full day from opening prayer to closing fire dance too.

We will benefit from this celebration emensely! I will post any pictures I take and what we did for the 12 hours on Sunday.

Have a very Blessed Beltane!

Full Moon

2014-08-11T23:57:00.000-04:00

The super moon was STUNNING! The Grain moon. Living now in the country it is funny to hear people relate the moon's with the harvests.

My sister and I did a short ritual, made moon water and enjoyed a fire in the firepit.
Here are some pictures I took of the moon, too bad I don't have an awesome camera, but it will do.

Sorry to be MIA but I am back!

2014-07-25T11:49:00.001-04:00

Brightest Blessings to you all! I have been on a journey of faith and life and come out the rabbit hole with a new address and a stronger belief in the Goddess herself!

I have moved to a very, very small town up north from where I was living and moved in with my witchy sister/wife and her family. They have read a lot of magical books and pray to the God and Goddess but have never really practiced rituals and spell work.

August 1st, I know it is Lammas, however we are going to do our first ever family ritual from Deborah Blake's Everyday Witch Rituals. It is called, Courage in the face of Adversity. It is simple and it is something she really needs right now. I ask you all to keep her in your thoughts and light a candle for healing and self confidence if you wouldn't mind.

Blessed Be.

Imbolc is this weekend!

2014-01-30T10:33:00.001-05:00

Spring is around the corner as the Wheel Turns!

Yule is coming YULE IS COMINGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

2013-12-11T16:43:00.001-05:00

I am so excited this year, all 3 boys will be with me for Yule at my house for dinner. We are going to have pictures taken by my dearest Lisa and I will upload them for all to see.

I have decided to KISS (keep it simple stupid), no frills just turkey and stuffing and veggies and of course gravy but instead of trying to make a fancy dessert I will buy one. After dinner will be gifting time, always nervous buying for the boys it was easier when they were little lol at 23, 21 and 21 no one wants a truck anymore unless they can drive it! lol

My oldest 2 will be joining me Christmas day at my families for their holiday which will be nice to see all my nieces and nephews, my sisters and my parents.

I wish you all a wonderful Yule or Christmas, which ever you celebrate, may you know you're loved if you are not celebrating and that's ok too.

Hermione and our new baby, Harry Potter LOL

Blessed Mabon, almost!

2013-09-10T14:23:00.000-04:00

I love Autumn however this time of year seems to be getting warmer than cooler.
This year I am super excited about Mabon! I am going to do some apple magic, I have been making 'Goddess' eyes for my altar I am planning on a wondeful Turkey dinner will all the fixings and apple cider and apple crumble for dessert.

beautiful!

A blessed Mabon to all my readers, family and friends!!!

Wonderful Prayer

2013-06-29T21:57:00.000-04:00

I found this really awesome prayer and wanted to share!

Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian Witches and Spiritual friends!

Blessed Litha!

2013-06-20T22:22:00.002-04:00

blessed Litha my friends!

Where did the time go??

2013-06-19T18:59:00.001-04:00

I can't believe it is almost Summer Solstice aka Litha! My altar stuff is packed up right now so I have a small altar with the quarters and stones reflecting each one on a lovely pentagram sitting in front of my Amber candle, as bright as the sun!

Enjoy however you plan on celebrating this wonder time of year! I wish I could head to the beach to watch the sun rise and go back to watch it set, but I guess my front porch will be it for this year!

The 23rd is the Super moon, I am hoping Goddess hears and answers my prayers.

Blessings to you, one and all~~

Brightest Blessings

2013-06-09T01:07:00.002-04:00

As I walk my path I discover little things about myself along the way. I am not your typical witch that performs spells, because I am not sure of my own abilities, not because of any of reason.

I am more Spiritual in my practice and hope once I get the government ok to move I will have the space and help in spell work and more ritual work. I read up on both all the time, I am good with interpreting tarot readings and am very accurate with my pendulum, however I need work with rituals and spell work and have a plan in place to work on them.

If there was such a thing as a 'book witch' that would be me lol I love to read and at the moment I'm reading The Real Witch's Craft by Kate West and trying to get the Whimsical Tarot by Dorothy Morrison, but haven't found it at a decent price yet.

I will truly try to up date this blog more often.

lovely poem

~~Many Blessings to all, may the Goddess and God aide you in your daily life and your angels hold you in their wings~~

Reiki is Amazing!

2013-03-14T08:06:00.001-04:00

Like the Lotus, I am beginning to open in so many ways!

I can not even begin to tell you how amazing I feel! I wake each day and my depression is not as deep, I am not filled with anything but love at that moment in time!

I am ok knowing each day I am not going to be going to work or driving, it has filled me with a love and knowledge of myself and I can not wait to do my self reiki everyday!

As I sit here writing this blog I have a lovely white candle lit, some healing reiki music in the background and I am full of the white healing light. It helps with my anxiety and panic attacks along with my depression. They are all still there, but they live in me and I in them.

I am proud that I have only had to re-start my 21 days of healing once. Each time I do a self healing it is like another lotus flow petal opening in my crown chakra, so beautiful!

I will leave you with this beautiful graphic of stay blessed and also if my Mom is looking or anyone that has the following book and no longer is in need of it and wants to re-gift it...

As simply as it is said, Stay Blessed!

I would love to read this book!

And I DO!

Namaste my dear ones!

BEAUTIFUL

Reiki Attunment is complete!

2013-03-04T13:23:00.002-05:00

Blessings to all! I had my Reiki Attunement on Saturday March 2nd, I am so thrilled to be on my 21 day self healing journey. I am journaling daily and starting to feel blockages in my body just melting away! Can't wait to finish and start working on my Level 2!!

It is almost Ostara in my part of the world which also means it is almost my grandwitchlet's 1st birthday! I am more than excited for this, her first birthday!

Ellie the Birthday Ostara Dragon!

Here is a picture of most of my Ostara Altar, it is not complete yet but at least I felt like putting it up this year.

Still have to put on the altar cloth and add some eggs and my Goddess and God statue.

Because she is so freaking adorable, here are a couple pictures of Hermione!

Hermione as of today!

Hermione in her shirt, showing support for the troops!

1st Post for 2013

2013-01-27T02:12:00.002-05:00

Happy New Year

Well it is now 2013 and I thought it would be a fantastic year... started with the plague followed by the flu LOL nope not great.

I am however following my wiccan/pagan path more this year than ever before. It is like it is calling me to become more active and more involved with the craft.
I have started taking Reiki with the wonderful Rhonda at Whiteflame Candle Company and I love it!

The beautiful Rhonda!

Also started taking a 2 day Tea Leaf reading workshop with the wonderful Amy Lou Taylor being hosted at Treasures for the Soul. Day one was awesome day two will be even more insightful!

The Amazing Amy!

What i am learning!

Tea leaf reading!

The Awesome Claudia!

Owner of Treasures for the Soul

I have even started to gather and put together a book list of what I want to read and I want to read a Lot! lol However here are the newest additions for my reading:

got it

I haven't found this one yet

got it

Well that is my plan for the beginning of 2013, it is going to be amazing with any luck I will be moving up to my sister's beautiful property up north this year where she and I can heal. Shannon and I always work our Magickal and Spiritual paths well together. We are truly Soul Sisters!!

~~Blessed Be my sisters and brothers!! May God and Goddess bless you, and remember to thank them for all they do in your life~~

It's that time of year again...

2012-12-22T19:49:00.003-05:00

If you read my other blog, you know the drama in my life right now from trusting someone I should have been able to trust. Enough said there.

However it made it very hard for me this year as I couldn't do stockings or do presents for my son's for Yule. My sweet witchy sister Faith provided everything I will need to make a wonderful dinner and I tear up just thinking of her generosity. My youngest son drove 8 hours so he could be here for a few days and with the nasty flu bug going around, it means it will just be Joe, Ryan and I this year.

Thanks to my lovely grandchildren, I have no voice, a very phlegm cough and more grossness than needed lol However they were a riot to see today with the joy and excitement of the Yule season!

I just wanted to say may Goddess bless you with the love of family and friends all through this season and into the New Year!

Be proud of yourself!

Love Grumpy Kitty

Amazing Lyrics! I am Pagan and I'm Proud!

2012-12-17T19:03:00.003-05:00

I found this on Facebook and thought it was freaking amazing!
(By: © 2004 PJ Seale - http://www.spiralrhythm.net/IAmPagan.html)

I am pagan, and I’m proud

I am pagan, gonna shout it loud

I am pagan, want the world to know

That I follow the Goddess

and she rocks my soul

Don’t need your bible

I’ve got the wisdom of the crone

Don’t need your heaven

Into this life I’m reborn

No ten commandments

One fills the bill

An’ it harm none, do what you will

Don’t need your churches

The world’s my sacred space

Don’t need your angels

I’ve got fairies in their place

We raise the spirit

Most every night

When we dance the fire

in the pale moonlight

Well you take your path

And I’ll take mine

A little tolerance

And we’ll both be fine

Keep an open mind

It’ll set you free

And Goddess bless,

so mote it be

Are you pagan? Are you proud?

Are you pagan? Then shout it loud!

If you’re pagan,

let the whole world know

That you follow the Goddess

‘cause she rocks your soul

It's OCTOBER! Favorite Month!

2012-10-01T23:59:00.001-04:00

This is my favorite month of the year! Crisp evenings, great for walking in the leaves, there is magick in the air! I am starting to plan out my Ancestral Altar and working on new things for my Samhain Tree! I am crocheting a witches hat for the top and plan on making more ornaments for it this year!

I haven't designed my Halloween freebie yet for my Sherry Senicar Designs blog, but I will get to it once I figure out what it is going to be this year lol.

Will post pictures when I find the damn camera

Blessings for a wonderful beginning to fall!

Help, I need an easy Banishing Spell!

2012-09-26T23:30:00.004-04:00

As you know, I suffer from severe depression and anxiety issues and am off work due to my health, I am struggling right now but am making it through each day with the support of my very good friends, and lovely emails from my Mom. I know I need to smudge my home, however a friend suggested a Banishing spell as a way to remove all the negative energy trapped in my home. The essence of my son and his wife is still strong in my home and with them no longer in my life, it is just making my depression worse than usual.

Does anyone have a banishing spell to banish the negative energy that is stuck within my home?

It has to be something I can do as a solitary witch, Please email me at ssenicar@bell.net if you have one that you believe would work for me.

Brightest Blessings!

Sherry

What a Wonderful Weekend!

2012-09-21T10:17:00.002-04:00

Is there a natural more generous witch on the planet than Selena Fox? I don't think so! Her workshops were over the top, I learned how to properly chant and all the different aspects of Bridget, how to do a proper home blessing and so much more! She was just AMAZING!

Kerr Cuhulain's workshop on how to create and direct magickal energy was out of this world! I finally get it! The tools are props the energy created is within you. I now can put myself in a bubble and direct energy good and bad into and out of my body Chi is awesome!

Pagan Pride Day didn't go quite as planned, my Andrew came, for as a deflection if my oldest showed up with his anger I think or just to see my daughter not sure which but that was not suppose to be due to the rules set up in the beginning of the weekend, but it sure was nice when I was a wreak to have him there and he helped out with the baby and the carrying of all the bags that go with a baby LOL However it caused a problem with one of the sisters and for that I am sorry.

Since working with these new magickal skills, I feel more empowered and more aware. I can put up blockages against negative energies coming my way.

I had 2 great readings while at PPD and more greens will be added to my diet as both of them mentioned that and stressed it. There was so much more told to me, my youngest is going to get in with the OPP (Ontario Police something) and then will finish his carrer with the RCMP our biggest police force across Canada. I am thrilled.

I went to the specialist on Wednesday and with his own eyes he witnessed me almost passing out! It was wonderful! I know that sounds strange but he now has me set up for 2 more tests and thinks part of my issue is my dropping blood pressure between sitting and standing and laying down and standing. I couldn't be happier!

May Goddess smile apon you at night and the Gods during the day... remember they are inside of you always! Honor them!

Full Contact Magick: How to raise and direct magickal energy
With Kerr Cuhulain

How do we raise and direct magickal energy easily and instantly? In Karate there is an old adage: "Chi follows I" (energy follows intent). This reads like a definition of magick, doesn't it? Full Contact Magick involves understanding how to fully access and use your magickal energy. Join Kerr in a discussion about effectively tapping into the magic and energy within us all!

Followed on the Sunday with a day at Gage Park with vendors, free workshops and so much more fun!

The best part is my sisters will be there Faith, Jen and Shannon and our daughter Kyla and our Grandbaby Ellie! I look so forward to this every year and to get to take a workshop with Selena Fox I AM SCREAMING with excitement!!!!!!

More to come on both days including pictures!

Blessed Be!

Struggling with Life right now

2012-08-28T15:54:00.001-04:00

not sure why but it seems life is closing in on me right now. At first I thought it was just the empty nest syndrome, but now there is so many other things happening I know it is my depression and my anxieties spinning.

As you know I have met a wonderful man, in the last month he has quit drinking and it has been tough on him but now he is using every excuse to not come over and watch movies like we both enjoy doing, I thought after the shakes and the anger things would smooth out, but I was wrong. Now I feel like he is avoiding me all together. I don't know what is happening anymore. His son and lovely daughter in-law warned me he gets like this but didn't know he would be pushing me away like this.
I know, Sherry suck it up, but I really like this man and he is such a good man and a wonderful grandfather I just question if it is the booze that liked me or him and now I feel horribly rejected.

His son said 'Sher give him the silent treatment' but I am so over games I don't want too and he is planning a 2 week bike ride and mini vacation up north, so I want to see him as much as possible before he leaves.

I feel like I am in some kind of limbo and am unsure of what to say or do.

Sorry for the tears and the ranting, Brightest Blessings!
