Island Destination Wedding

Jessica and Chris traveled down from New Orleans to get married on St John with 50 of their closest family and friends. I met the bridal couple in Peter Bay Estates at Villa Rotunda for a few pre-wedding photographs of the couple getting ready. We staged the moment of the groom seeing his bride for the first time in her wedding dress, so that we were able to photograph them together before the ceremony. Chris was a little nervous, yet excited and Jessica had to be one of the coolest brides I've photographed: she said, "I'm marrying my best-friend why would I be nervous?"
Jessica and Chris exchanged their wedding vows on Trunk Bay Beach as the sun set under a beautiful arch of flowers. Their reception was held at the Waterfront Bistro in Cruz Bay. The DJ played music that had everyone up and shaking it on the dance floor.

P.S. I love how Jessica's pink Kate Spade shoes matches Chris's tie.

I'm loving these morning beach wedding photographs!

It's hard to believe but the morning of Savannah and Jack's wedding it was torrentially raining. So, we had to change their wedding day and hope for sunshine. We where all so happy that we did because the day couldn't have been more picture perfect for a wedding.

USVI Wedding Photography in Review : 2011

2011 was an amazing year of weddings for Crown Images in the US Virgin Islands.

I'm still convinced that I have the best job in the world.

Thank you to all the people that have shared their special day with me and welcomed me into their wedding like I was part of the family to create these photographs. Thank you to all the vendors on the island that make each wedding flow so smoothly, I'm looking forward to yet another wonderful year together.

Traditional Wedding in the Virgin Islands

This wedding was perfect!!!

Laura and Brent planned their own wedding from the states and had never been to St Thomas before, impressive!! They arrived on a cruise ship with about 25 of their closest family and friends. They had a traditional catholic ceremony at Saint Ann’s Chapel in Frenchtown; this has to be one of the prettiest churches on St Thomas and is over 90 years old. The reception was held at Oceana Restaurant where we made photographs in front of the ocean, cut the wedding cake, had a champagne toast, and enjoyed the island atmosphere. Everything was in close proximity to where the cruise ship docked so that they where able to make the most of their time on island. I would highly recommend both locations for a wedding on St Thomas for photographs as well as outstanding service.

St Thomas Wedding

I’m excited to share Brooke and Keith’s wedding photographs with you. We all started with pre-wedding photos at the Marriott on St Thomas, the property was just renovated and looks amazing. Their ceremony was held at the St Peter and Paul Catholic Church in downtown Charlotte Amalie. After the ceremony we stopped at Megan’s Bay Beach for a little rum punch and to make some photographs of the sun setting. We then finished their island wedding celebration at the Old Stone Farm House for the reception. It was all simply perfect.

I had a blast photographing Jonathan and Michelle’s wedding on 11/11/11. Their wedding was held on a small private beach on St John that could only be accessed by boat. A close friend performed the ceremony, friends played music, the beach was decorated with flowers, and everyone had an amazing time celebrating.
