&lt;p&gt;Kall Kwik has launched its first standalone kdesign agency following the success of its existing network of more than 35 design outlets, which currently operate out of Kall Kwik centres across the UK.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Kdesign, a sub brand of Kall Kwik, offers a host of business communication services including brand development, design, marketing, advertising, multi media and web design.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The new agency, based in Croydon, is the first centre to operate solely under the kdesign brand. It officially launched for business this month by encouraging over 300 local companies to &amp;lsquo;do lunch&amp;rsquo; with its creative team &amp;ndash; hand delivering personal invites in the form of branded fresh fruit.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A team of 12 staff dressed in identical business suits complete with bowler hats went out into the local business district to hand out the lunch invitations. These were printed on green apples, a colour and shape synonymous with the kdesign logo, and an appropriate appetizer to introduce the agency&amp;rsquo;s &amp;lsquo;healthy approach to design&amp;rsquo;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The launch was part of a two month creative campaign which has seen the agency sporting window banners inviting passers-by to &amp;lsquo;watch this space&amp;rsquo; through the eyes of silhouette characters. On the other side off the glass was the famous &amp;lsquo;Son of Man&amp;rsquo; painting by Renee Magritte featuring a business man with an apple covering his face, a theme which has been replicated throughout the launch.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;kdesign, the first agency of its kind in the area, will offer local businesses a complete service from design through to delivery &amp;ndash; with the added quality assurance of all printing and fulfillment taking place on site.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Local business entrepreneur and creative director, Steve Palmer, will take over management of the agency, bringing an impressive list of clients to the company.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Steve comments: &amp;ldquo;We&amp;rsquo;re bringing a healthy new approach to design with the launch of the agency on both a local and national level. kdesign offers accessible creativity to businesses looking to make an impact, both on their target audience and bottom line alike!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;A lot of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to get the agency ready for business, find the right team and create an impactful launch. Now we are officially open we look forward to welcoming local companies through our doors to take us up on our offer of a nutritious lunch, alongside a healthy and individual approach to all their design needs.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Mike Dewsbury, managing director of Kall Kwik, concludes: &amp;ldquo;This is an important development in our rapidly expanding network of kdesign agencies, each providing creative solutions to local businesses, whilst offering all the resources of a national organisation.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;The launch of Croydon has proved to be a huge success receiving positive feedback from the local business community. The expansion of kdesign will continue throughout 2008.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;All businesses taking kdesign Croydon up on its offer will receive a personalised lunch pack when visiting the centre this week. &lt;p&gt;Having owned and run his own telesales business prior to joining Cartridge World, Daniel Fensom knew a good business opportunity when he saw it.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;What introduced him to Cartridge World&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a previous business customer of Cartridge World, Daniel appreciated the potential of printer cartridge refilling and remanufacturing, and recognised the value of the Cartridge World brand as the UK market leader. Having seen a Cartridge World store open and flourish in his local area, then Worcester, in 2005 Daniel began looking into the possibility of owning his own store, but didn&amp;rsquo;t have the time to follow his investigations through. He finally realised his ambition by buying an existing store in Croydon and re-opening it in April 2009.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;Progress to date&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In spite of it being early days for Daniel&amp;rsquo;s store, he is confident about making a success of his business. A real &amp;lsquo;people person&amp;rsquo;, Daniel especially enjoys helping his customers and sees good customer service as crucial to being successful. He also points out that the combination of providing a commonly-used product that is cost effective and of high quality keeps both retail and business customers coming back.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Already, word is spreading about Daniel&amp;rsquo;s store, with a local school recently approaching the business with 130 printer cartridges that needed refilling!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Daniel&amp;rsquo;s five weeks Cartridge World training are standing him in good stead, and he finds the technical support available from head office to be invaluable. He also appreciates the support offered by fellow franchisees, keeping in regular contact with the franchise that provided him with his week of in-store training.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;div&gt;Daniel has high hopes for his business and is aiming to open two more stores in the future.&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;div&gt;&lt;b&gt;Daniel says ...&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/div&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;I&amp;rsquo;m really optimistic about the potential to build up my customer base, and I feel that I&amp;rsquo;m in the right business given the current recession. People are even more interested than before in products that offer both value for money and quality. What&amp;rsquo;s more, our products are very environmentally friendly, which is becoming more and more important.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;The customer service aspect is a cornerstone of the business. Recently, I helped a customer fix his printer after hours as needed to print something for a funeral the following day. He then went on to buy three cartridges!
