DARE TO MAKE OVER

I am so speechless with what I have accomplished yesterday. I have been looking for quite sometimes for a template that would match up my personality and moods as I am inspired with most of the blogger's here who have awesome page layouts. So I am always moved of hunting a free layout that could give my site a new look. But I'm afraid of altering the original layout of mine that pretty mom had generously made for me long before I am just starting my blogging career. And besides I already had this phobia of editing my original layout with a new one. The last time I tried it, I end up miserable after doing some html download for my page, suddenly I could not view any of my blogs.I have no idea what causes the errors so I have no choice but to patiently undo all my actions. From then on I never edited my blog layout as I am no expert with those stuffs..

But promises are meant to be broken. hehe. This weekend my being frustrated graphic artist dares me to fail again. And yes, I did it my way once again. I searched for free blogger templates in the web, crossed my fingers and prepare myself with the possible trouble I might encounter. I started browsing for layouts last Saturday and finished Sunday afternoon. I was hopeful that things would really turn out right after my trial and error process and on Sunday afternoon I made it at last. Imagine this layout hunting and make over had took my weekends and have really test my patience oh what a work, but then I'm glad I did it! hoohhhoo!!

BRAND CONSCIOUS

I am not that brand conscious I wear clothes that can be purchased at the bargain house. For as long as I find it comfortable and good for my eye to wear definitely I will buy that clothes. Its a case to case basis actually, sometimes when I go to the mall and see some branded thing like Essenxa, Cole Haan , Michael Kors , Celine, etc. even if the prices for these brands are too expensive oftentimes I found myself grabbing an item and just take a sigh after giving the cashier the amount for the said item. Anyway, in my own opinion those branded clothing's and accessories we seen in selected markets are worth a buy by their qualities plus the fact that it was designed by a known designer it just sum up the cost.

The first thing that came to my mind after reading the word maxoderm was the commercial of astringent that has become famous to women and even men at the age of 20 to 50. The product has become so popular and accepted by the public because of its promise that it could whitens users face immediately. This thought of mine was corrected until I hit the page site and saw that it was totally different from what I believe in. The site tackles about Men's blog so I'm pretty sure men will find their place here. I have read some of the articles and find it informative so if you are curious like me hit it on too.

I was moved by this story and somehow answered my being cold with my sister this past few days. So I am sharing the story that I happened to read tonight.

Satan was complaining to the Lord, " You're unfair, so many sinners do wrong and you take them back. In fact, some come back half a dozen times and you always welcome them. I make one big mistake and you condemn me forever, it is unfair." Said the Lord, " Did you ever ask for forgiveness or repent?".

Nice story Isn't it?. Now I can justify my coldness with my sister because as mentioned in the story, How I am going to forgive her if she's not talking to me and approached me and say Sorry. Anyway, I'm not hard to please, she knows that and I'm just an inch away from her, so the ball is her to roll.

TREATING YOURSELVES

Most of us had sure experienced the feeling of being depressed. I tell you, its not easy to deal with the stress and depression once your there. And if you are going to asked me how I manage to overcome such depression in life, I am proud to tell you that God help me overcome those emptiness and betrayal I am feeling the moment, I am suffering. Of course some people will laugh at me and would quote me with not so kind words but believe me my anxiety depression treatment was God that time. Now I am learning from those experience that , depression is something that we must overcome and we must address in the right person so that we can move mountains and hills by giving yourself a break and love.

I believe we don't need to be a skin expert to know what beautiful skin means and how it looks like. These is the reason why more products are being market in the public. Products that's promises whiter skin, soft and smooth skin, Pinkish white glow face, acnefree products , for oily skin and dry skin lotion and to mention more. Advertisers encourage the men and women of today to look always in their best. Which is good as other people who are not that conscious with their physical appearance begun to changed their lifestyle and start caring for their skin and body.My mother used to tell me way back my tertiary days that being beautiful and clean inside should be maintain in order to live a good life.

A HABIT

Today my two of my office mates noticed something in me, These two ladies says I am losing weight. For me its a compliment even though the people around me oppose. My friends at work and family thinks that I look more radiant and healthy when they see my face expanding because of the foods I take in my body. Actually it was not my plan of trimming up, it just happen because lately my laziness strikes especially when I started to sit down here in front of the monitor I set aside foods for the sake of computer. And so I guess diets that work for me is my being lazy, haha.Kidding aside, I know this practice of mine is not healthy. I have been reminded today by my office mates how this routine affects my body. I loss weight not because I eat proper food and exercise but because I am somehow abusing my body. I have to do something to bring back the glow of my whole being and before its too late.

EARTHQUAKES AND TSUNAMIS

Analyzing natures rage today I couldn't help refer on the words of God in the bible that talks about end times. That when end times come we can hear back to back news of wars and calamities so we must not be surprised as it is expected to come to fulfill what is written. I am not sure what book in the new testament I have read those messages. My apology if I can't put here the exact verse and book. But I know most of us had also read that passage in the bible.

Earthquake and Tsunamis, are called fortuitous event, they are said to be act of God as I have learned on my law subject. These events cannot be controlled by man. Last year on September 2009, Manila was struck with floods killing hundreds of lives, making thousands of Filipinos homeless and helpless. Last month, Haiti was hit by an Earthquake killing again many lives and wounded so many heart. And again Yesterday, February 27, 2010 an Earthquake visits Chile republic shaking the people and the economy of this stable country. And tsunami is also threatening the pacific coastline. When are we going to hear good news after this tragic events that we are hearing all over the land. People are dying, people are starving to death suffering physical, emotional and mental pain. Have it ever came to your mind that maybe God is shaking us, humbling us so we may learn to turn to Him. I pray that God will heal all wounded hearts caused by this destructive 8.8 magnitude quake and would restore the lives of this quake victims. Amen

ORAL CARE

I don't know why lately I am so lazy going to the clinic to undergo medical examination, as it is one of our company requirement to all staff and I am not yet submitting any medical examination results. Last Friday, our Human resources call my attention regarding my incomplete requirement and I promised them I am going to submit it before the payroll cut-off. Aside from that I had been planning to visit a dentist to have a dental check up and cleaning but I always get this lazy bones in me every time the day that I set comes. I checked some of the clinics and dentistry which I could possible visit if ever and one of them is Plano cosmetic dentist I wish next week my laziness would disappear so I can submit all my requirements and have my personal dental check up too.

BUSINESS LIFE

Because I badly needed the data of some branches that I am handling in the office, I emailed each concerned personnel of the hotels I am asked to monitor of their sales and revenue. While I was waiting for their reply I turned to my other work responsibilities and one of them is to verify business insurance we had with our bank partners. Sometimes I am really confused with my job description as I am asked to do work which are not listed in my job responsibility but somehow I take it as a challenge and additional knowledge for me,though at times I really confused with the instruction I am receiving from my boss, I sometimes would like to contest but I prefer not to.Anyway I can still do the job and can deliver results it just that I feel like I deserved an increase. Well I guess this is business life.

BACK FOR GOOD

After a few days of not updating this blog of mine, now I'm here again back on track. I had to finished all my deadlines at the office and do some overtime to make sure I can submit them before the given deadline. Today I had to buy some grocery for the weekend and while I was there in the grocery store I saw this ads for nordic track and caught my attention so I browse the messages for awhile. With that I almost forget my purpose of going there in the supermarket as I was about to exit the supermarket after reading that ads, I was out of my mind I told myself when I realized I am heading at the exit section. silly me.

DOES YOUR PRINTER GIVES YOU HEADACHE?

Does your printer gives you headaches? Yes, mine gives me headache I don't know if its coincidence or I'm being sabotage or being played everytime I am going to use the printer in the office. The worst and saddest part that it happened when I had to rush the documents to be printed. I encounter lots of problem with Printer Ink Cartridges of most of the printer Hp in the office. I don't know why whats going on such problem really needs to be addressed to the management of HP so they can do something out of it.

I believe there are people who are drowning in debts and are striving to overcome such situation. I had once become a shopaholic, buying things that I like even if that thing is not that essential for my living. I can't control it everytime I go to the malls, I would grab those stuff and get my credit card swiped in the cashier area. Poor girl, the following month I am so surprised with the billing statement of my credit card.I can't Payoff debt on time my savings and payroll could not suffice anymore. Too late for me to realize that I've put myself in compromised, I had to cut my lifestyle abruptly and learn how to be content with what I have until I finished paying those debts I incur because of those credit cards I have.Now I learned my lesson and learned how to stay away from those tempting offers of the credit cards company. Those "enjoy now pay later" lines of credit cards has no more effect in me. Good thing, now I prefer cash purchased to avoid future obligations.

It's hard to admit when you become a victim of these people who knows nothing but to take advantage of others vulnerability. If internet changes the lives of many people in good ways, there is also a counterpart of it. Everything can happen in just a blink of an eye and internet also have become the great alley of those scammer outside who are waiting to devour others hard earned money. A friend of mine said if your not that smart and cautious you'll get scammed. But I beg to disagree because when you think your too smart just to be scammed well think again. Scammers are three times smarter than you, don't forget that there profession is deceiving so its there specialty and they have mastered the art perfectly.

I have been victimized by these scammer twice, the last one happened recently. Buying online is risky specially if it requires you to give your personal account information, but even if you have not disclose some of your personal data you can still be scammed and it happen most at times, maybe not you and never will it happen to you as you always think, but to some people yes it sometimes do happen and come. I am still in my denial state, because I am not yet accepting the real fact that I have been a victim of this ruthless practices of some desperate creatures in this world. I can't continue further as I am just refreshing the anger I have for them. Soon when I'm okay and back to my system , I'll put here the sites were I got scammed when the fury within me subside.

I can't remember how many times I have read this story , yet every time I read it again it always gives me strength inside and now I am sharing it and hope you could pick some lessons in the story while reading.

There was this young girl who went to her mother and her about life and things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Then her mother took the girl to the kitchen, she filled the pots with water and place each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl and do the same for egg and coffee bean.Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots and she noted that they were soft. Then the mother again asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed that the hard boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked her daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its rich aroma. The daughter then asked, " What does it mean, mother"? Her mother explained that each f these objects had faced the same adversity... boiling water, but each reacted differently.

The carrot went in strong, hard and unrelenting however after being subjected to the boiling water , it softened and became weak. The Egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting in the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however after they were in the boiling water, they had changed the water. " Which are you?" asked the mother. " When adversity knocks on your door, how do you respond/ are you a carrot, an egg or a coffee bean?"

Indeed, a good story to reflect. According to Hellen Keler ; Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired , and success achieved. Happy Valentines day to all.
