Hello friends! Today's card is a bit of a veer from the last couple of Christmas posts, but it's sure in keeping with the Holiday 2018 catalogue. We're down to the final weeks of this gorgeous catalogue, and it's time to snap up your coveted items before they're gone!

One of my most favourite items that's leaving? The gorgeous Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper, which is for more than just Christmas! Here, I've paired it with the Country Home stamp set - and don't they work beautifully together?

Hello friends!

It's November 25th, which means it's officially one month until Christmas! I'm not a big huge Christmas person, so I like to limit my festivities to the few weeks before - but with that said, it's time to start making and sending Christmas cards to your family and friends, so I'll be featuring some on my blog in the next couple of weeks.

In my last post, I mentioned that I had two Project Packs on deck but one had to be turfed because of a supply issue. The upside of that is I can now share those cards with you! This one is VERY similar to one of those Project Pack cards, with a few modifications to remove the coordinating framelits. Because they're no longer available, you can create this card using only stamps and punches!

I'm having a major love affair with copper lately and this card is no exception. Copper foil sheets are super versatile - for this project, I ran one through my Big Shot with the Corrugated Embossing folder, then used a nail file to distress it and some scissors to rough up the sides. I love the shabby, rustic look! It pairs so well with the woodgrain, log slices, and buffalo check for this card.

While I'm disappointed I couldn't launch the Alpine Adventure Project Pack to my fabulous customers, I'm so pleased I can share this card with all of you!

Hey friends, and happy Friday! I'm at the tail end of a couple of days off and am starting up another work week tonight. Had to make sure I popped in and shared a project before I disappear into the abyss of shift work!

Today's card is another from my stash of previous projects - thank goodness I always have a stash for busy times like this, eh?

I wanted to combine crisp, bold black and whites with some pops of colour for this one. Mission accomplished, I'd say! The watercolour background is a blend of Coastal Cabana, Pineapple Punch, Lovely Lipstick, and Granny Apple Green on Shimmery White cardstock, and I love how it offsets the dramatic black and white sentiment from Accented Blooms. So pretty! This card looks complicated but comes together in a flash. Throw a few rhinestones on to jazz it up, and you're done!

Hello friends! Happy Monday - I hope your week is off to a dreamy start! I'm up to my eyeballs in work lately but still trying to check in when I get a chance - I'm writing this on Sunday night before bed! :)

Today's card is a fun favourite I've had socked away for a few weeks - this one was a special request from a customer, who needed a pretty anniversary card. I pulled this sentiment from "Labels to Love," which goes to show you can use the holiday stamps all year round!

This card is bathed in metallics, isn't it?! I loved the gold on the koi fish so much that I had to work it into the rest of the card - with four separate gold elements, I hope I didn't go overboard! Ha!

Good morning, friends! If you're coming from the GDP blog, welcome to Calgary, Canada! I'm here today with a super special blog post for Global Design Project #157.

Global Design Project isn't typically on my roster of blog posts, but after entering last month's colour challenge, I was asked to be a guest designer for this month's. So fun!

Of course, I was happy to join the GDP team again and work with this gorgeous colour combination of Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, and Grapefruit Grove.

The first thing I made with this card was the sentiment panel - that was an easy way to work in all three colours and start with a focal point, and then I could build from there. Adding layers upon layers, I was able to pile on lots of colour with very little white space - my favourite!

I love the look of the traditional, elegant sentiment panel with the modern and clean polka dot DSP. It's a fun way to combine things, isn't it? Hello friends! I'm back with another card I've had socked away in the queue - and thank goodness for that queue, because once again I'm SICK! The last few months have been a germ factory up in here. I've got strep throat again - if you're keeping track, this is the fourth time since the end of June. One more and I get a bingo! I haven't had much time or inclination to craft as I've been lazing about and trying to feel better.

Today's card was a request from a customer. I have a number of ladies who regularly buy my cards, and a few more who put in a special order for a special occasion. I love these orders - they keep me on my toes and give me something to work toward.

Today's card was for a gent's milestone 80th birthday.

I was on a roll of using Blueberry Bushel the night I created this, and I love the end result! It's such a lovely, rich blue. Paired with gold and Balmy Blue, it masculine with a bit of glam perfect for a special occasion.

Broadway Birthday might be an upcoming CrushOnColour Project Pack - I loved creating with it!

Hello friends! Happy mid-week - I'm just wrapping up my work week and writing this post in the wee hours of the morning before I go to bed!

Today's feature is a whole lot out of my comfort zone, but it's nothing I can't add some bright, fun colours too! This beautiful stamp set is called Abstract Expressions, and it's full of soft elements that look like they've been painted, so you can layer and create to your heart's content!

I've paired it with the coordinating Garden Impressions Designer Series paper to create this bright and beautiful wedding card, perfect for a modern couple. And aren't those little whisps of ribbon lovely?

Inside, I've added a coordinating sentiment to complete the card:

Good morning, friends! Friday is here and I'm sure I'm not the only one who's exhausted at the end of this week! School is back in session and we are getting back to a routine around our house.

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for our son's first day of school. His dad and I each wrote a note in it and I stuck it in his lunchbox - when I picked him up after school, the first thing he said was "I loved the letter you guys gave me!" He also told me about six times that night how he wishes he had a treehouse just like this one - don't we all?!

This adorable card is straight out of the catalogue, and with the help of some fantastic layered stamps, comes together in a flash with a lot of fun. I loved designing this little treehouse and choosing all of the colours for the card - it's interior design meets stamping!

Hello friends! Today's post is in conjunction with the Global Design Project #153 colour challenge - something I haven't done in a long time! I was lacking inspiration this week and I always find a challenge blog to be a great jumping-off point. GDP is one of my favourites!

This week's challenge was a colour combination of Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede. As I mentioned recently, I'm on a kick lately of creating blank cards and adding sentiments when the time comes, so I set off to create another blank beauty using this fabulous colour combo!

The "Follow Your Dreams" bundle has been sitting on my shelf without any love, so it was time to bust it out - and I'm so glad I did! I love how the soft, delicate images pair with this etherial colour scheme. Perfection!

Hello friends, and welcome back for another round of Fancy Friday! At the end of each month, a group of "fancy" Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world gets together for a themed blog hop - thanks for joining us again! I'm Shannon, a demonstrator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada; whether you're starting here with me or coming from my friend Rochelle in Australia, I'm so glad you're here and I can't wait to share this month's creation with you!

I knew right away which bundle I wanted to feature - I am head-over-heels for nautical imagery and I absolutely LOVE octopi, so I wanted to spend some time gettin' fancy with Sea of Textures. Check it out!

This gorgeous bundle is absolutely PACKED full of fantastic products - with 9 rubber stamps and 8 Framelits dies, there are so many beautiful combinations to make your cards pop! I used the gorgeous octopus as a focal point, and bright in some coral and seaweed in the background, then used plenty of the fabulous Framelits to add texture and dimension to the project. One of my favourite things about this card is the lines of Tranquil Tide seaweed in the background - I am a brand new Stamparatus convert, and I can't say enough good things about this fabulous tool! I was able to stamp the seaweed in perfectly straight, parallel lines with no fuss and no wasted paper. Yay!

Speaking of texture, I also had help from Silver Embossing Paste, thread and twine, Foil Paper, Vellum, and even a sheet of bubble wrapped that I stamped with clear embossing powder - can you see the sheen in the background? This card is so over-the-top it can barely stand up on its own! :)

Hey friends!

One of the things that was really cool about being on the Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team was that we were periodically asked for feedback on Stampin' Up! products and ideas that were in progress. As a few years have passed since the start of my first year on the ADT, I've seen some of these products come to fruition - it's super cool to see things available for purchase that we had some input in!

This sentiment was one of them - a few of us practically begged to see a bold, graphic stamp with this adorable sentiment on it. "You're pretty much the greatest of all time in the history of ever." It's something I tell my kiddo quite often, and it gives me the warm fuzzies. I'm so happy to finally have it in a stamp!

I wanted to let the sentiment shine on this card, so I opted for grey and white with a few simple pops of colour. This unexpected colour combination - Coastal Cabana, Mango Melody, and Balmy Blue - happened by accident with some scraps of paper on my desk, and I love the look of it!
